Benefits of Using Prismatic Lithium-Ion Battery Laser Welding Machines in EV Manufacturing
The battery pack assembly process involves packing cells to achieve the desired voltage, capacity, and current from small cells. In this process, welding plays a crucial role. Proper welding ensures that the battery cells are joined correctly and helps in creating a conductive connection between cells. Traditionally, welding methods included electricity and gas. However, gas welding poses significant risks due to the flammability of electrolytes and other battery components. Electric methods like arc welding and spot welding were also commonly used.
In modern times, the integration of automation has brought laser welding machines to the forefront due to their numerous advantages. This article explores the benefits of laser welding over traditional spot welding and other methods.
Tumblr media
Speed and Flexibility
Laser welding is a remarkably fast technique, capable of welding thin materials at speeds of several meters per minute. The key advantage is the ability to create a ‘keyhole,’ allowing heat input throughout the material’s thickness, making it suitable for high-productivity automated environments. Thicker sections can also benefit as laser keyhole welding completes a joint in a single pass, unlike other techniques requiring multiple passes. Laser welding is typically automated, with beams manipulated using multi-axis robotic systems, resulting in a flexible manufacturing process.
Stronger and Deeper Welds
Laser welding machines are ideal for creating high-aspect-ratio welds, making them suitable for joint configurations like stake welding through lap joints, which are not feasible with many other welding techniques. Parts joined using laser welding can have smaller flanges compared to those made with resistance spot welding.
Reduced Distortion and Heat
The highly concentrated heat source of laser welding produces a small weld volume, transmitting limited heat into the surrounding material. This results in less distortion than many other processes. The low heat input also creates narrow heat-affected zones, minimizing thermal damage and preserving the properties of the parent material near the weld.
Suitability for Materials
Multiple technologies of Laser welding machines in India can weld a wide range of materials, including steels, stainless steels, aluminum, titanium, and nickel alloys, as well as non-metallic materials like plastics and textiles. For lithium-ion battery assembly, copper, nickel, and aluminum welding machines are best. The material thickness that lasers can handle varies greatly, from under a millimeter to around 30 millimeters, depending on the laser fiber welding machine type and power.
Performed Out of Vacuum
Unlike many electron beam keyhole welding operations, laser welding equipment is carried out at atmospheric pressure, though gas shielding is often necessary to prevent oxidation of the welds.
Non-Contact, Single-Sided Process
Laser welding does not apply force to the workpieces being joined and is typically a single-sided process, completing the joint from one side. However, weld root shielding may be required from the opposite side.
Versatility
Lasers offer the ability to create spot or stitch welds just as easily as continuous welds. Beyond welding, laser sources can be used for various materials processing applications, including cutting, surfacing, heat treatment, marking, and rapid prototyping. Beam delivery to the workpieces can be achieved through time-sharing a single beam between multiple welding stations or energy-sharing a single beam to process different areas or the same area from opposite sides of a workpiece. Special optics can also be used for beam shaping or splitting, allowing for the processing of materials with beams of different energy distributions.
Conclusion
Battery manufacturing equipment suppliers are increasingly turning from other technologies to laser for their efficiency and precision in the Lithium-Ion Battery Assembly Equipment sector. With its numerous advantages, laser welding is becoming an essential part of the battery assembly process, offering speed, flexibility, and precision that traditional methods cannot match.

Barrage of Bindwel products for Kenya's largest book printer
Tumblr media
Nairobi-headquartered Icons Printers, one of Kenya's largest book printing companies, is headed by Milo Narayan Mishra, known as a print industry icon of the African continent. For its post-press requirements, the printer has tied up with Mumbai-based Bindwel – installing seven offline machines, including four Freedom 4K 12 clamp offline binders, Trimit trimmers, and a full-fledged inline solution, the Bindline 5K.
Known for establishing India’s largest manufacturer of web offset machines, Manugraph, in the African market, Milo Mishra later ventured into providing printing services. Based in the Kenyan capital, Mishra leads his group through two daughter companies – Icons Printers Ltd and Prints Arts Ltd. Collectively, they are one of the largest book printing companies in East Africa.
Multiple web offset machines of varying cut-offs – from Manugraph and SigMarq – form the pillars of his printing business. The covers are printed using 4 color sheet feds from Komori. The company has a Horizon Offline 12 station gatherer, and a battery of sewing machines from Muller Martini and Meccanotecnica, the makers of Aster. The group also has a dedicated plant to make corrugated boxes needed to ship books.
Milo Mishra has personally overseen the procurement of machines from Bindwel as technology is the forte of this printing technologist who donned the hat of an engineer and sales head before venturing into print production. He says he is more at home with Indian machines compared to European products.
The Bindline supplied to the integrated book printer in Nairobi has a 16-station Signa Gatherer, and can run offline or as inline.
“For perfect binding, we have been a consistent partner for the Icons group. They are happy with our machines and service and helped us at times by agreeing to longer delivery schedules. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is something to learn from and we have always done our best to support them,” says Mayur Bharate, who heads exports for Bindwel.
Most of the books made by Icon Printers are thread-sewn. The printer uses the Bindwel BBF5K book block feeder to feed them into the Freedom 5K perfect binder and a long conveyor to be fed into a Trimit 30C three-knife trimmer.
The complete line was installed with operational support from the Bindwel team led by Rijo Pappachan, a senior engineer with Bindwel, around the end of 2023. The first level of support is provided by Bindwel's team based in Dubai and Nairobi.
The books printed by the Icons- Prints Arts group are mainly for the educational segment, covering both the government and private sectors in East Africa. Kenya is one of the rare countries in Africa that has achieved self-sufficiency in printing books for domestic consumption, and business leaders such as Milo Mishra have a key role to play in this growth.
Bindwel has made steady progress in exports, supplying its products to customers overseas. Recently, Tigran Mets, one of the largest and oldest printing houses in Armenia, selected Bindwel’s Trimit30C as its latest three-knife trimmer, making it one of the newest customers from outside India to choose this technology. This decision follows its installation of the Freedom 4.5K 12 clamp perfect binder in 2023 for the production of educational books.

Tata Technologies is Setting Up a New Skill Development Culture
Tumblr media
India is historically well known for its efficient and intelligent workforce. It is no rocket science that global companies find it cheaper to hire from India, inducing a constantly flaring demand for Indian talents in the international business landscape. But in addition to the global demand, now India’s ambitious vision to become a manufacturing superpower has sky-rocketed the talent demand. According to ManGroup’s report of Talent Shortage 2020, 63 percent of companies in India report a shortage of talented employees, mainly in IT, engineering services, and Sales. The considerable success of the union government’s Make in India initiative has also been a tailwind to the talent demand in the manufacturing sector to grow exponentially over the years.
Tata Technologies has been at the forefront of filling this gap through various initiatives across the country. CEO Insights engages in an exclusive interaction with Pushkaraj Kaulgud, Global Director- EESS CoE (Electrical Electronics and Software System Center of Excellence), Tata Technologies, to explore the latest skill development endeavors of the company. Possessing more than two decades of professional experience — from the shop floor to the top floor, Pushkaraj has proven acumen in managing challenging engineering services design, development, delivery, sales, and management.
In conversation with Pushkaraj Kaulgud, Global Director- EESS CoE, Tata Technologies
What kind of learning environment have you created through Centers of Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIITs) set up in Jammu and Kashmir?
CIIIT in Jammu and Kashmir is a joint venture by Tata Technologies-led industry consortium and the government of Jammu and Kashmir, providing an advanced ecosystem for innovation and skill development for the students, industry professionals, and the unemployed youth in the state. It will not only help provide skilled resources to the local industries but also provide self-employment opportunities to the youth. The center incorporates advanced software and technology tools as well as hardware machinery to convert the ideas into startups under the guidance of experts of Tata Technologies-from scratch to the production stage.
The initiative also includes several Innovation Challenge competitions. Furthermore, we run design thinking workshops and mentorship programs under the guidance of experts from Tata technologies and partners. This close industry-academia interaction will help generate more avenues for self-employment, especially in the areas such as electric vehicles, the Internet of Things, consumer goods, and additive manufacturing, among others. In fact, we have already produced some output. Recently, a few students converted an ordinary bicycle into an elliptical one. They have also designed and developed an innovative grass cutter. So that’s the kind of environment we provide.
What are the focus areas in training? What kinds of latest technologies and tools are the students exposed to?
We majorly focus on two aspects: Technology Center and the Workshop. In the technology center, we cover the entire lifecycle of product design and development. We acquaint them with product verification and analysis through high-end tools while also introducing them to advanced machining. And the third lap comes in as the Internet of Things. So these are the major aspects we cover in the Technology Center.
In the workshop, one of the major sections is battery-powered electric vehicles. We cover the entire EV life cycle, including battery management, systems, repair & maintenance, two-wheeler testing and motor testing of the battery, and electric vehicle components, among others. We also cover advanced manufacturing, encrusting laser cutting, milling center, CNC turning, spray painting, etc. We ensure that students are exposed to a hands-on environment with many advanced tools and state-of-the-art facilities because ITI graduates will be more hands-on when they work professionally. For the same reason, whatever they learn in theory, they have to practice it here.
We also cover industrial robotics. The manufacturing industry has wholly moved into advanced robotics, and it is no secret that we need a lot of people who can operate these robots. We have created an entire customized industrial robotics cell wherein advanced industrial processes like arc welding and pick & place palletizing will be taught to the students in a hands-on manner.
Another segment we cover is advanced plumbing. There have been a lot of advancements in plumbing in recent times, especially in terms of the emergence of several discrete techniques for plumbing in different verticals like hotels, stadiums, and shipping yards. The plumbing techniques have also undergone sea changes in the urban areas. And that’s what we’re going to teach them, including the sprinkler systems, the rainwater harvesting system, solar systems, etc.
Additionally, we have also incorporated virtual reality-based painting and welding training. That adds up to minimize the material used during painting or welding training. Students will learn virtually first and then jump onto the exact machine, saving a lot of material costs. Another segment is additive manufacturing or 3D printing. Since almost all industries embrace the human-machine interface, we also cover industrial process control and automation in our curriculum. And last but not least, the advanced automotive section.
What will be the kind of impact Imphal CIIIT will create in Manipur? How do you think it will help the state in its industrial progression?
Manipur is traditionally known for its Handlooms and handicrafts, agriculture, forestry, food processing & retail, electrical machinery, and transport equipment, among others. The state has several small-scale and medium-scale industries in these verticals. CIIIT will help the people of Manipur, especially the young people, innovate using the latest technologies and enhance the existing industries with new skills. It will also help improve the self-employment scenario. With a lot of the skilled Industry 4.0 manpower available, Manipur will be able to attract more investments. So, the idea is not just to provide people with technical knowledge, but we are focusing more on entrepreneurship, which will help bring a more sustainable business ecosystem to the state.
You have a plan to build a common facility center catering to skill development in the electric vehicles segment in Punjab. Tell us more about this.
We all know that Punjab is very good with automotive manufacturing. They also have an excellent market, where people want to try different things. So, keeping that innovative aspect in mind, we are trying to develop an advanced electric vehicle learning center. This will include electric vehicle powertrain design and fabrication, complete battery management systems and battery packing, and charging infrastructure and its technical aspects. Additionally, the center will also acquaint them with the entire design of a vehicle, how to make it lightweight, and much more.

Innovative Approaches to Heavy Mining Equipment Procurement Intelligence
The heavy mining equipment category is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 3.5% from 2023 to 2030. The category accounts for around 50% to 60% of the overall mining equipment industry. The constantly expanding mining activities in the Asia Pacific region dominates the category. The region is benefiting from high demand for metals and minerals across a range of sectors globally. The mining industry, being one of the foundational sectors of the economy, supports the category growth. Power and cement industries helped the category to thrive due to the rapid expansion of infrastructure. Other major demand drivers are an increase in the rising need for mineral fertilizers to improve agricultural yield, road construction projects, and the use of technology and automation in road construction and mining.
Larger projects require complex, efficient machinery for better efficiency and safety, which is driving the category's expansion. The demand is increasing as a result of the government's significant investments in infrastructural improvements and mining industry reforms. For instance, in the first half of 2023, Chinese investments and fresh agreements in the mining and metals industry reached more than USD 10 billion, representing a 131% increase over the same time in 2022. India, another major country, amended the Mines and Minerals (Regulation and Development) Amendment Act with the goal of streamlining regulations to boost industry participation, freeing up 500 potential mining sites, and encouraging the use of cutting-edge technologies to improve sustainability.
The rise in the development of autonomous heavy mining vehicles is driving the need to organize numerous amounts of cables and wires within the vehicles. Each vehicle contains sensors, cameras, and other connectors. As a result, such wiring needs a heavy equipment cable harness that ensures that electronic circuits perform as designed. Moreover, advancements in technology have led to the development of automatic power crushers. These crushers include hydraulic clamping machinery and spring release system designs. Spring release systems, particularly in cone crushers, establish a protective barrier between the machinery and residual materials. Advancements in clamping technology now enable increased crush-down capacity, facilitating the smooth transition of medium-grade feed from the primary to the secondary crusher.
Order your copy of the Heavy Mining Equipment Procurement Intelligence Report, 2023 - 2030, published by Grand View Research, to get more details regarding day one, quick wins, portfolio analysis, key negotiation strategies of key suppliers, and low-cost/best-cost sourcing analysis
Tools and equipment that are both technologically advanced and environmentally conscious are in higher demand as a result of rising pressure from sustainability goals. Prospects for industry participants to expand and become more efficient are being presented by the increasing adoption and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in mining processes. In order to embrace sustainability, a number of developing nations are integrating hybrid technology into the production of mining equipment. In addition, to increase operational efficiency, the industry has also witnessed a large uptake of other technology clusters such as robotics & automation, smart sensors, and 3D printing. A contract for a fleet of zero-emission vehicles was signed between Nouveau Monde Graphite (NMG), a Canadian battery and auto manufacturer, and Caterpillar in April 2023. For NMG's Matawinie Mine, the latter would create an integrated solution that includes a fleet, infrastructure, and services with zero exhaust emissions. The partnership was anticipated to aid NMG's switch from conventional models to Cat machines with zero exhaust emissions.
The category is highly fragmented, given the ongoing growth of digitalization and automation, technology has become a key differentiator for the firms operating in this category. The primary players are concentrating on lowering the extraction and heavy equipment maintenance costs by using cost-reducing innovations. Other large-scale industries are acquiring new technologies embedded in the heavy machinery and equipment that they use regularly to increase efficiency and reduce costs in production, processing, and delivery. As mining operations expand globally, companies compete to establish a strong presence in various regions by tailoring their equipment to suit specific geographic and geological conditions. Some companies collaborate or form partnerships to combine expertise and resources, aiming to develop more comprehensive and advanced mining solutions.
When determining the category cost, there are a number of factors to take into consideration such as ownership costs, fixed expenses, machine costs, insurance, and taxes. Additional expenses that occasionally fall under the fixed category include the cost of a spare parts inventory, special tools required for operation or maintenance, and structures required to house the machine. Another expense is variable cost, which only appears while a machine is in use. Some of these are consumables, routine maintenance supplies (such as engine oil and filters), energy (such as fuel or electricity), and repair charges. An essential expense is the time value of maintenance and repairs. Maintenance costs of heavy mining machinery are significantly high. Most machines' total maintenance and repair expenses during their lifetimes are likely to be equal to 75% of the new machine's cost. For instance, heavy-duty hydraulic mining can price around anywhere between USD 950,000 - USD 1,650,000. Another important tool - a multipurpose dredger for sand pumping, prices for which, can range between USD 360,000 - 450,000.
Selecting the appropriate heavy mining machinery is necessary for significantly improving production quality, project efficiency, cost savings, profitability, and safety at any job site. When sourcing the category, it is important to seek for quality of the machinery, horsepower, weight handling capacity, the cost of the equipment, and the experience of the suppliers. The Manufacturing Process of E-Rickshaw – A Comprehensive Guide!
Electric vehicles have revolutionized the world of transportation and have become a preferred means of transportation for many. E-Rickshaws are an excellent example of these new-age vehicles and their increasing popularity has made them ubiquitous in India. In this article, we will take a look at the complete manufacturing process of e-rickshaw. From the designing and fabrication stage to the delivery and servicing, here is a comprehensive guide to the entire manufacturing process of an e-rickshaw.
Auto CAD Designing
The designing stage of the e-rickshaw manufacturing process is done using Auto CAD software. Auto CAD is a computer-aided design and drafting software that helps engineers and designers to create 3D models of the e-rickshaw. This includes designing the chassis, cab, battery, and other components of the e-rickshaw.
Research & Development (R&D)
The research & development stage is an important part of the manufacturing process of an e-rickshaw. In this stage, the R&D team will conduct extensive research and develop the design to ensure that the e-rickshaw is efficient, reliable, and safe. This includes research on the materials used for the e-rickshaw, the motor, the battery, and other safety features.
Storing & Godown
The next stage of the manufacturing process is the storage and godown stage. Here the components and materials used for the e-rickshaw are stored in the godown. This includes the chassis, body panels, motor, battery, and other components.
Fabrication
The fabrication stage is where the components and materials are cut, welded, and assembled to create the chassis and body of the e-rickshaw. In this stage, specialized tools and machines such as press brakes and shears are used to shape and form the body panels.
Sand Blasting & Powder Coating
Once the fabrication is complete, the e-rickshaw body is sandblasted to remove any rust or corrosion and then powder-coated for corrosion protection. Powder coating is a process that involves applying a layer of powder to the surface of the e-rickshaw to protect it from rust and corrosion.
Assembling Fitting & Wiring
The next stage of the manufacturing process is the assembly, fitting, and wiring stage. In this stage, the components and materials are assembled and fitted together to create the e-rickshaw. This includes mounting the motor, battery, and other electronic components. Wiring is also done to ensure that the e-rickshaw is electrically safe and that the components are properly connected.
Testing & Checking
The testing and checking stage is the final stage before the e-rickshaw is delivered. In this stage, the e-rickshaw is tested and checked for performance, safety, and reliability. This includes testing the motor and battery, checking for any defects or manufacturing defects, and testing the E-rickshaws' braking, performance, and handling.
Delivery & Forwarding
Once the e-rickshaw passes the testing and checking stage, it is ready to be delivered to the customer. The e-rickshaw is then packed and shipped to the customer.
Servicing & Spares
Finally, the e-rickshaw manufacturer provides after-sales service and spares for any issues that may arise. This includes providing the customer with the necessary spare parts and providing the customer with technical support and assistance.
This is the complete manufacturing process of e-rickshaw. From the designing and fabrication stage to the delivery and servicing, each stage is important in the manufacturing process and ensures that the e-rickshaw is of high quality and reliability.

ARCHITECTURAL LED PRODUCTS
LEDs are next generation lighting technology that are more flexible and efficient in terms of colors, form factor, and power consumption as compared to conventional incandescent light products. LEDs are not sensitive to cold which makes them ideal for outdoor lighting. LEDs obtain the colors from semiconductor chips, thereby eliminating the need for using color filters and making LEDs more efficient than traditional lights. LEDs directional lights can easily and accurately be directed on facades, thus preventing stray light. In media facades thousands of LEDs lights are linked together and controlled individually. By using LEDs, images and messages come alive and make corporate building and malls real crowd pullers.

Solar Panels in Sonipat Haryana
youtube
Before we ponder upon our main subject “Solar Panels in Sonipat, Haryana” we need to take a look at definition of Solar Panels, type of Solar Panels and working of Solar Panels etc.
What are solar panels?
Solar panels are devices that transform sunlight into electricity. They are called "solar" panels because most of the time, the utmost prevailing source of light available is the Sun, called Sol by astronomers. Some researchers also call them photovoltaics which means, basically, "light-electricity." I mean electricity generated by light (sunlight).
A solar panel is a group of solar cells. Lots of small solar cells spread over a huge area can work together to provide enough power to be useful. The more light that hits a cell, the more current it produces, so spaceship are typically designed with solar panels that can always be pointed at the Sun even as the rest of the body of the spaceship moves around.
Common types of Solar Panels in Sonipat Haryana are used
Conventionally there are mainly two types of Solar Panels in broad category i.e.
a)   These are the traditional types of solar panels made of monocrystalline silicon
b)  or polysilicon and are most commonly used in conventional surroundings.
c)
These panels are made from three Types of Solar Cells. There are three basic types of solar cell. Monocrystalline cells are cut from a silicon ingot grown from a single large crystal of silicon whilst polycrystalline cells are cut from an ingot made up of many smaller crystals. The third type is the amorphous or thin-film solar cell. These are categorized as
a)   Monocrystalline Solar Panels (Mono-SI)
b)   Polycrystalline Solar Panels (Poly-SI)
c)   Thin-Film Solar Cells (TFSC)
d)   Amorphous Silicon Solar Cell (A-Si)
e)   Biohybrid Solar Cell.
Best type of Solar Panels in Sonipat Haryana
  a)     Monocrystalline solar panels are slightly more expensive, but also slightly more space-efficient. If you had one polycrystalline and one monocrystalline solar panel, both rated 220-watt, they would generate the same amount of electricity, but the one made of monocrystalline silicon would take up less space
  b)    Because of lower silicon purity, polycrystalline solar panels are not quite as efficient as monocrystalline solar panels. Lower space-efficiency. You generally need to cover a larger surface to output the same electrical power as you would with a solar panel made of monocrystalline silicon
Salient Features of Solar Panels in Sonipat Haryana used commonly

Growing Awareness for use of Solar Energy in Sonipat Haryana
With every passing year, solar power is becoming more competitive with other conventional sources of power. Today installing makes more at places not connected the grid or having high electricity requirement. You can see solar installations everywhere, at residential, commercial and industrial establishments. Establishments like hospitals and other medical institutions have a high demand for power. As such installing solar panels completely makes sense for such organizations.
Typical size of Power Plant of solar energy in Sonipat Haryana would be sufficient
So, an owner of 2,000 square foot home / dwelling / premises may consider for installation of solar Power Plan consisting solar arrays of 4 to 5,000 watts i.e. 4 or 5 kWp Solar Power Plant. Depending on the type of panel that you choose, a system of this size would be anywhere from 16-20 solar panels of 250 Watt modules of 24 Volt. Keep in mind, this formula to estimate consumption varies depending on who provides your electricity. Simply you may divide total consumption of your monthly units by 30 so as to estimate your 1 day requirement of units.  A 1kWp of solar Power Plant may produce 4 to 5 units per day as per ideal sunlight conditions for 300 clear sunny days in Sonipat, Haryana, India.
There are three types of solar power system, which can be installed in Sonipat, Haryana, India. Let us understand about these three types of solar power plants
  1. Grid Connected or On- Grid Rooftop solar power Plant - Solar power plant is connected with the utility grid, and the electricity is produced. A grid connected solar power system includes solar panels, inverters with no backup battery. Eligible for 30% MNRE Solar Subsidy.
  2. Off-grid Rooftop solar power Plant - It is often termed as the stand alone power system for areas where infrastructure has the ability to generate the electricity without being connected to the grid. It includes solar panels, inverters and batteries which can act as a backup during emergency time. No subsidy available.
3. Hybrid Rooftop solar power Plant - It is a combination of on-grid as well as the off- grid system. Hybrid solar power system may be slightly higher then off-grid system because of high cost of hybrid solar inverters. Eligible for 30% MNRE Solar Subsidy.
Prices of Solar Panels in Sonipat, Haryana, India
Rates of solar panels differ from company to company as well as quality and module efficiency. Company tag or the brand name does matters in price. No.1 top solar manufacturer in the world is Chinese giant Trina Solar is cheaper than any other Indian top brands like Vikram, Adani, Sunfuel and Tata Solar.   Provisions of Solar Energy in Sonipat, Haryana, India by the Government
In Haryana, due to speedy development of industrialization, the demand for electricity has increased manifold, which has led to numerous power cuts and load shedding during the peak hours in day and night. Solar energy is available in plenty in Sonipat, Haryana, India, which can be exploited to generate electricity through solar panel installation. The Photovoltaic technology is tapped for directly converting the solar energy into electrical energy by using “Solar Silicon Cells”. The electricity generated from Solar can be employed for different applications directly or through battery storage system.
Government of Haryana (HAREDA) has two type of programs to promote Solar power plant projects:-
a)     Off-Grid Solar Power Plants - The Solar module converts the Sun light into electricity (DC) in day time and this generated DC electricity is stored into a battery bank by Solar Charge Controller. Thereafter, the stored DC electricity converted into AC electricity by Inverter / Power Conditioning Unit use for providing electricity to your house load like AC, Coolers, Washing Machines, Grinders, TV, Computers, fans, lights etc. at day time/night.
b)     On-Grid (Grid Connected) / Hybrid Solar Power Plants - Solar Photovoltaic Technology converts the sunlight into DC electricity through solar cells. The generated DC is further  converted in to AC electricity by the On-Grid / Hybrid Inverter which provides the AC electricity directly to your house load and excess if any is fed in to the Grid via Net meter. Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) is promoting this system for the following solar photovoltaic (SPV) devices for running tube lights, fans and TV etc. This type of system is eligible for 30% MNRE Solar Subsidy.
c)      Introduction of Manohar Jyoti Domestic Solar Energy Light Scheme for installation of Solar Panels in Sonipat, Haryana, India. The Department of New and Renewable Energy, Haryana has introduced the Manohar Jyoti Domestic Solar Energy Light Scheme, which offers a battery of 120AH with 150W Solar Panel. This can light up to three LED lights and a USB port and a DC fan. It will be given a full five year warranty of the entire system. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sonipat, Haryan, Shri Jayvir Singh Arya, while giving this information, called upon the people to take full advantage of the scheme. He said that the price of this device has been kept at Rupees Twenty Three thousand Four Hundred Seventy Seven (Rs.23,477). The financial assistance of Rupees Fifteen thousand has been fixed by the state government on a device, which will be given to the interested beneficiaries in Rupees 8477 at subsidised price.

Attero Recycling Pvt Ltd  - What Is E-Waste And Why India Must Address It
Tumblr media
Electronic waste, also known as e-waste, is produced when any electronic or electrical equipment becomes unfit for its intended use or has passed its expiration date. Old electronic equipment is easily replaced by new models due to rapid technological advancements and the production of newer electronic equipment. It has resulted in an exponential increase in e-waste, particularly in India. People tend to upgrade to newer models and cutting-edge technologies, and product life spans also shorten over time. However, the issue of e-waste management in India and its challenges remain.
E-waste is defined by the International Telecommunication Union as any electrical or electronic equipment that has been discarded as waste with no intention of reuse. Equipment such as televisions, monitors, laptops, notebooks, and tablets; cooling and freezing equipment such as refrigerators and freezers; and other large and small appliances such as washing machines, clothes dryers, dish-washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and microwaves are examples of this waste. E-waste also includes ventilation equipment, telecommunications equipment such as GPS, pocket calculators, routers, personal computers, printers, and telephones, among other things.
Attero recycling pvt ltd explains that the nature of the material from which e-waste is made is one of the most serious issues when dealing with it. Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), lead, mercury, polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), brominated flame retardants (BFRs), and other valuable metals such as aluminium, copper, steel, iron, and the infamous plastic, are all found in e-waste. All of these materials require special treatment, and because they are hazardous in nature, they cannot be disposed of in landfills.
The Prime Minister of India has set an ambitious target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based energy generation in India by 2030, as well as a reduction in total projected carbon emissions of one billion tonnes by 2030. To meet these targets, India will need to significantly increase grid storage and the number of electric vehicles on the road (EVs). This, however, necessitates and requires increasing local manufacturing, exploring new avenues, and allowing global competition in emerging sectors such as energy storage.
An increase in the number of electric vehicles necessitates an increase in the production of batteries for energy storage. Lithium-ion battery waste is expected to increase by 40–80% year on year as India continues to leapfrog and prepare for the EV era. To prepare for this revolution, we should start thinking about how to manage and recycle the lithium-ion waste that these cars will generate.
Over 50,000 tonnes of lithium-ion battery waste is generated in India each year, and Attero recycling reviews nearly a thousand tonnes of lithium-ion batteries using its globally patented and NASA-approved technology. In India, Attero provides world-class Li-ion battery recycling solutions. To meet the increased demand for Li-ion battery recycling and to ensure that no waste is disposed of, Attero recycling Pvt ltd offers a 360-degree recycling process that includes collection, logistics, handling, and packaging of lithium-ion batteries, safe destruction, and 100% recovery of valuable battery materials for reuse in new batteries.
India has realised the potential of recycling and understands its vital role in creating a sustainable country. Attero recycling reviews that the government has been working to promote a circular economy and the idea of recycling. Recycling of e-waste is the most effective way to ensure the long-term development of our country. The circular economy encourages material recirculation for pollution prevention and secondary material management. The generation of e-waste poses a serious threat to the environment. It can also become an urban mine for future resource supply due to its rich repository of valuable and critical raw materials. Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) can be one of the tools used to access secondary raw materials embedded in waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) streams and mitigate future supply chain risks.
Consumers are critical to improving e-waste management in India. Extended Producer Responsibility; Design for the Environment; and (3Rs) Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle technology all aim to encourage consumers to properly dispose of e-waste, with increased reuse and recycling rates, as well as adopt sustainable consumer habits.
The Indian government has put in place strong mechanisms to handle and treat e-waste in a safe and sustainable manner. A comprehensive approach is required to address India's e-waste management challenges. A suitable mechanism must be developed in order to integrate small units from the unorganised sector and large units from the organised sector into a single value chain.
The government must also look at eradicating the lack of awareness about e-waste management and recycling in India. It is possible to accomplish this through educational campaigns, capacity building, and awareness-building programmes. Increased efforts are urgently needed to improve current collection schemes and management practices.
