So, this is what you get for $475K + $100mo. HOA in Boston, Massachusetts. It's a studio condo, which the description says is in the beautiful brownstone building. The entrance is the door on the left next to the shop, the brownstone building is behind all the shops.
Thank goodness the recently renovated unit is on the 2nd fl. b/c there's no mention of an elevator and these stairs look pretty lethal.
The recently renovated apt. advertises 0 bds., b/c it's a studio, but it does say that there's plenty of storage and room for entertaining even with a king size bed. It also says in-unit laundry, but look at where it is. Note that only one side has a rail for the ladder so you would access the storage from the ladder, and you could certainly load and unload the washer from the ladder, too. (Not that you'd really want to.)
They gave the high-ceilinged room a weird low loft around the perimeter. You move the ladder around, so I guess it's stored in the corner when not in use.
Very compact kitchen looks like it was fit into a former double closet. The cabinets are great, if only there were a few more of them.
The bathroom features a small sideways sink, a nice medicine cabinet and modern toilet.
It also has a nicely tiled shower, but it's relatively small.
A large bed fits in the corner.
And, for $475K + $1200 yr. in HOA fees, there's only street parking.

A stage of fire and dreams (2)
inspired by @ gwandas and they post: modern Neris AU where Eris is a trust fund asshole at Harvard Law, Nesta is a professional ballerina with the Boston Ballet
Second part! They meet and then they meet some more....
Part 1 - I changed Odette to Giselle because I got confused... but it was meant to be Giselle.
Also! English is my second language and I might accidentally messed it up.... just believe that my writing would be better in German and we can be friends (also not really proof read, because it's just for fun and giggles)
WITHOUT FURTHER ADO! PLEASE ENJOY THE SHOW
main role: Eris (xNesta)
also appearing: his mother, his younger brother, Nesta, her mother, a theater owner
Chapter 2 - red shoes
As glamoures the stage was, as messy was it backstage.
Eris followed his mother who was following Mr. Heartfelt. The man was as colourful as his theater and he was talking constantly while finding his way between costums, exhausted dancers and the smell of sweat.
Cyrus brushed up to Eris and whispered. "Bet I can get ten numbers tonight?"
"Just be back before we leave."
And with that his brother was gone, off to find the chorus girls. Eris did not care. His mind was on one woman.
Giselle.
Or Nesta Archeron, as the dancer was called. Would she be as enchanting as her character?
Suddenly Eris felt a rush of anxiety go through his blood. He pushed his shaking hands down into his pockets and tried for a neutral smile.
"We got lucky to find her", Mr. Heartfelt was babbling. "I already thought we had to go over budget, but then her manager called us and begged for a chance to audicion. And she was brilliant. But do not tell her I said that. She will expect more money if I start praising."
His mother furrowed her eyebrows. "Is the theater in need of money again? I thought with my last donation the budget for the year was almost dubbled."
Mr Heartfelt, realizing his mistake, turned to her and grapped her hands in his. "And it was. You are the most generous patreon we could ever hoped for. But most of the budget was needed for renovations. The Bathrooms, I am sure you noticed the new design."
Eris snorded.
"And we were able to get the most famous director Lucy Sky to come and stay with us for two plays."
Eris watched his mother relax. Her smile returned and he burried his hands deeper in his pockets. The smell of hairspray and sweat, the chatter of the people cleaning up and all the doors to uncertain rooms, he started to feel dizzy. With a small cough he got Mr. Heartfelts attention and raised an eyebrow.
"We are not here, to listen to your budget plan", he said.
"Of course", the man swipped away the sweat on his forhead and continued his way.
"Be nice", his mother said quietly to Eris.
"I am always nice."
She reached for his arm and pulled his hands out of his pocket. "Just a couple of minutes."
He wanted to lie. Anything to get her gaze away. But she saw him. And so he nodded and took a deep breath.
"Where is your brother?"
That lie was easy. She would know the truth anyway.
"Waiting in the car."
At the end of the hall Mr. Heartfelt knocked on a door.
"Nesta? You have visitors."
Eris felt his heart almost burst. His Giselle would open this door.
But it was not Giselle. Although the woman who pulled the door open and almost of it's hinges looked like her, but older. Honey blonde curls and piercing grey eyes starred them down.
"This is Mrs. Aurora Vanserra and her son", Mr. Heartfelt introduced them. "They are esteamed patreons of my theater."
The woman smiled immediatly. "What an honour. Please come in. My daughter will be delighted."
Her daughter did not look delighted. In fact Nesta Archeron looked like an arrow, ready to shoot anyone who got on her nerves.
She was still in costume, her shoes clonking with every step and her long hair swipping around her back. The make up had not survived the performance and the eyeliner was mixed with sweat.
To Eris she looked unhinged like the door almost was.
He loved it.
"Pleased to meet you", she said to his mother.
"Oh my dear", Aurora Vanserra looked like a proud aunt. For a second Eris thought she would hug Nesta, but then she just offered her hand. "You were magnificent. Absolutely perfect. I have never cried so much during Giselle. Eris too."
All eyes on him, Eris coughed. "Your first time dancing in the center?"
Nesta squared up her shoulders. "I am always the center."
Oh, he was in trouble. The grey of her eyes would hunt him for days, he was sure of it. He had never felt drawn to another person. But Nesta Archeron was pulling him in without even trying.
"My daugther has worked hard to be here", Nestas mother put an arm around her daughter. For a second Nesta froze. Then she pressed her lips together and lowered her head. But her mother was squeezing her harder until she lifted her gaze again. "Even as a child she had the graze and determination of a true Ballerina."
"I hope to see you in more plays soon", his mother said.
Before Nesta could open her mouth her mother was already answering. "That depends on Mr. Heartfelt. He has all the power." With a whistful sigh she looked at the man.
"Where did you learn to dance", Eris asked Nesta, just to hear her voice again.
"New York", her mother answered for her again.
"What part of it do you enjoy the most?"
Again her mother answered: "The performances of course."
"Actually", Nesta took a step to the side, finally freeing herself from the clutches around her shoulder. "I like the music the most."
"Performance, music. Isn't that the same?"
Mother and daughter starred each other down.
"It is not." Nesta stock out her chin, provocing her mother to fight infront of them.
Eris wanted to pull her behind him, protect her from the woman who looked at her like she was just a small girl and not the woman who enchanted an entire audience. But something in her gaze held him back. She was not delicate like Giselle. She was not mad. And she would not appreciate him over stepping.
He would have to find a different way to her, to spend time by her side, to her heart.
"It is late", his mother said and smiled. "It was an honour to meet you."
Mrs. Archeron wanted to say something more, probably try to charm his mother, but Eris raised an eyebrow and starred her down. "My brother is waiting", he agreed with her.
"Of course", Mr. Heartfelt looked to Mrs. Archeron. "Might we discuss the further performance plan in my office?"
What a show. Eris was sure that he only said it, because his most beloved Patreon was standing right next ot him.
He needed to get out of here.
He needed to get his mother far away from this woman.
He wanted to take Nesta with him.
They all left Nesta in her dressing room. Mr. Heartfelt took Mrs. Archeron to his office and Eris guided his mother to the car park.
"What a lovely girl", she said. "She will be a famous ballerina one day, i can feel it."
He patted his pockets. "I forgot my phone", he said.
Confused his mother turned to him. Then her eyes softened and she grinned. "Hurry, your brother is waiting."
Eris jogged back down the hall to Nestas dressing room and knocked.
There was shuffeling. Then she opened the door a little and peered out. When she recognized him she huffed. "Did you forget something?"
He smiled at her. "The flowers."
"Obvioulsly."
"And your number."
At that her eyes found his and she opened the door a bit more. He had interupted her in the middle of taking of her shoes. The blood on her toes seeped through her whites tights.
"I dont give my number to strangers."
His heart beat faster. Never had a woman been so stubborn with him. And still he felt more alive than ever. There was a spark in her that he wanted to see grow. He wanted to witness the spark becoming a wild fire and devouring the world.
"Then let me give you my number", he pulled out a business card.
She bit her lower lip. The lipstick blood red and smudged. Eris hadn't known Ballerinas looked more alluring after a performance.
"A lawyer?" she read the card surprised.
"For Finance and Business", he leaned against the door frame.
She studied the card. "You work for your family?"
"For my father", he nodded.
For a moment they looked at each other and he saw her walls come down.
"Mr. Vanserra", her mother was coming down the hall. Nesta took a step back, her walls back in place.
"Call me", he whispered to Nesta. "For anything."
She said nothing, only pierced him with her eyes.
Eris turned, nodded politely to her mother and then hurried back to the car. On the way out he stumbled into Cyrus.
"Eleven", his brother grinned at him, showing him proudly the numbers saved in his phone. "And you?"
Minus one, Eris thought. But he just pulled his brother out of the theater. "Mother is waiting."
Finally he breathed fresh air. The car ride home was quiet. His mother was humming softly next to him, while his brother was already texting the chorus girls.
Eris closed his eyes. His heart was still beating fast. And it would beat like that by every phone call he got, always in hope Nesta Archeron would call him. It took her three days.

How did you come up with the idea for BILY?
i actually kinda like, walked into the idea of bily? most people who read bily probably don't know this but the house in bily is a real house. it was 3 days before i found out that i was going to be allowed to graduate college after almost 2 years of pandemic and mental healthy issues. we where visiting my aunt up in boston and part of the general activities was visiting my cousin's new house.
i walked into my cousins freshly purchased 1800's house in the middle of boston, in the midst of renovations, lath and plaster on the floor, the porch so rikety that it almost couldn't be walked on and felt winded with how quickly it all came to me.
i found myself checking every corner to see if yoongi would be there. i could see it all at once, yoongi and her in the kitchen, the pack in the big bedroom, the dusty upstairs and what yoongi would make it, the blood in the floorboards the cramptness of the bathroom and how love would fit into it so so so well. over the next month i wrote a 60,000 word rough draft of bily that i'm still going through to pull sections out of and build upon.
it's funny, i haven't been back to the bily house since the first time i walked into it. i made it a little bit larger in my head because obviously there are more people living in the fictional version but, maybe one day i'll go back <3 i think i have pictures of it somewhere.

Hi lovely 💕💕 How about 52 + Evanstan for the wrapped game?
Mayaaaaaa. I'm so glad you requested Evanstan. Here's something I wrote just for you (and low-key might expand on someday)
tags: evanstan, accidental roommates, yearning
'Cause you're everywhere to me
And when I catch my breath
It's you I breathe
---
It's a really stupid idea. Chris only offered because he knows what a pain it is living out of hotel rooms and never being able to relax, but also his LA home is too big and lies empty half the time when he's away filming or back in Boston.
So, Sebastian asking for a recommendation of where to stay while he films in LA for four months, just naturally results in the suggestion.
"Won't I be in your way?"
"Nah, I'm heading back home for two weeks and then to Atlanta. Honestly, you'd be doing me a favor and keeping my plants alive."
"You have plants?" Chris can hear the amusement even over the phone.
"I do. They're even healthy. Thriving, you might say."
The laugh that comes from the other end is warm and Chris doesn't mind playing up the role of terrible plant dad if it gets that response.
Sebastian groans a little, meaning that he's contemplating the offer.
"It'll only be until the end of May. There's a pretty tight schedule and, y'know, if I'm in the way you can just tell me to fuck off."
"Seb, I wouldn't be offering if I minded. Why waste your money on hotels or an Airbnb where there's hidden cameras?"
Sebastian laughs again and says something about PornHub before sighing and saying the one word Chris was hoping he'd say.
"Sure."
—
It's a mistake.
Chris' movie is canceled — well, pushed back but they just lost their director and finance, plus Scarlett backed out, but Chris has been around Hollywood long enough to see the writing on the wall — and his Boston house just started renovations so… he's back in LA for meetings.
Where Sebastian is.
After a very long conversation where Sebastian offers no less than eight times to leave, Chris manages to convince him to stay and pulls into the drive, parking up next to Sebastian's rental.
Sebastian is on set this afternoon and won't be back until later tonight, giving Chris enough time to take a shower and call his Boston contractor to ask about timescales. Maybe he can squeeze in a nap too.
Chris is a pretty simple guy. He knows what's in his house and what he owns. When he walks in, nothing is immediately off but there's a blanket on the couch and half a bag of Doritos on the end table. Sebastian must have been in a hurry this morning because his coffee cup is in the sink and his towel is in a heap on the bathroom floor.
Chris grew up with Scott so he doesn't really mind picking up after people. He folds the blanket, washes the cup and gets a fresh towel out for Sebastian, hanging it up on the rail instead. He doesn't go into the guest bedroom — it's Sebastian's.
Sebastian is a guest, but he's also living in the house. Chris doesn't expect the place to be spotless, especially since his return was unexpected and he knows Sebastian takes care of himself. He honestly has no problems with a little clutter. Actually, he kind of likes it. He likes to know that Sebastian has been here, that he's making Chris' house into his home, and that he's comfortable here.
Chris has had guests who spill things and break stuff. He's had guests who are too afraid to sit on the couch properly in case they make indents into the cushions, as if that's not what couches are for.
Chris kind of forgets what his plans are as he rifles through his home looking for evidence of Sebastian; to see what else he has been up to while Chris has been away. There's a copy of a book on the coffee table that Chris definitely doesn't own. It's a Steinbeck and Chris never really liked Literature at school so he's not read it, but he thumbs through the pages to where Sebastian left off — marked by a folded corner of a page. There's underlined text and notes in the margin, so Chris sits on the couch and begins reading the handwriting, deciphering the scrawl left by his friend.
Somehow he starts imagining Sebastian sitting on the couch with Chris' head in his lap and carding through his hair as they both read in companionable silence. There's soft music in the background and the faint smell of coffee while Dodger snoozes in front of the fireplace.
It's a peace that Chris can't help but crave.
He doesn't even realize he's fallen asleep until the front door closes and lights turn on.
"Chris?"
Chris blinks awake and looks up at Sebastian's face hovering over him. His hair is grown out and he's all sharp angles and hollow cheekbones, clearly still trying to regain it after losing so much last year for Pam & Tommy, but he's still the Sebastian he knows.
Unintentionally, Chris had ended up lying down with the blanket over him and reading Sebastian's book. And Sebastian had come home and found him like that.
"Shit," Chris mumbles and pulls himself up. "What time is it?"
"A little past 7pm. I got done on set early and brought dinner." On the coffee table are three bags from a Chinese place that Chris loves and had recommended to Sebastian four years ago.
"You didn't have to do that."
"I did because I haven't gone grocery shopping this week and, y'know, you've been letting me stay here."
"Seb, stop trying to apologize. You're welcome here. We're just gonna have to share the space for a little while. Sorry."
Sebastian opens his mouth, presumably to apologize — again — but Chris stops him before he can.
"Don't," he says as he sits up properly and drags himself closer to the food. "Siddown and tell me about your day."
Twenty minutes later, they're sitting on the couch, plates full of pork lo mein and egg rolls, laughing about the stunt that Sebastian had to do and how they both have Sunday off, so maybe they can go to the beach.
Chris realizes just how nice it is to come home to someone.

Shopping Spree
Have you ever wondered how people come to meet once another?
Everyone has the same question in mind, whether it is at a different time or different place.
You never know when something might happen, whether it's a good thing or not.
The first time that I met Adalyn was back in 7th grade. At first, I thought she was annoying and only wanted attention, but that grew to not be true.
Gabriela, who I sometimes call Gabi, was always someone I wanted to talk to, but simply couldn't. I can't remember if it was because I was scared or not.
It was a surprised at how many Gabbies I knew.
The ones in my main friend group, Gaby and Gabby, and now Gabi. It was confusing at first when talking to my friends about them, but eventually I learned that if I was to talk about one of them, I would just mention their characteristics.
We were all at the arcade, Gabi and Adalyn playing some random game while I was playing Resident Evil.
"Fuck, I knew I took too many things while playing as Claire." I cursed under my breath, blaming myself for taking so many bullets and green herbs as her.
Now, because I took so much shit, Leon didn't have enough resources to survive.
Soon enough, the 'Game Over' screen popped on the screen, making me hit the machine in anger.
After that, I went up to Gabriela and Adalyn, who were still playing, and told them I would go back home or something.
I didn't lie to them, I did go home and was about to lie down on the sofa until the phone started ringing.
I picked up the phone and brought it to the sofa with me. The cord was rather long, and you could bring it to the nearest bathroom of the house.
"[L/N] household, who is this?"
"Since when are you so outdated?"
It was Boston. We would call from time to time, but not very often since I was almost never home.
"Well look who it is. What's up? Did something happen?"
He sighed over the phone, telling me that something did in fact happen, but that he won't tell me.
"I guess I was just bored, wanna go out or something? Maybe go shopping?"
I thought about it for a second, then agreed. I didn't always go out shopping since I would normally spend my money on movie renting or game buying, but it was something me and Boston did at times to relax.
We agreed on meeting on the Grab-N-Go, and then we would head to the nearest mall, it being Cherry Creek, which was renovated a long time ago, in the '50's.
"Are you feeling alright?" I asked Boston as I saw him head towards me, in the candy section of the Grab-N-Go.
"Yeah, my parents just got into an argument because my dad forgot to pay the water bill."
I hissed, "Shit, I'm sorry. If you want, you can spend some time in my place."
He shook his head and told me that it was fine, his dad will pay today and they'll eventually get back the water.
I felt terrible for him, he always had something bad happening to him and his family.
I grabbed a few water bottles and paid for them, handing them to Boston, "Keep them, and don't stay dehydrated."
He shoved everything we got in his backpack, which he had decided to bring in case we actually decided to buy some clothes.
We headed out the doors, and without glancing at a certain someone who was clearly pissed, we rode our bicycles towards the old mall.
Once we got there, we went from store to store, buying some jeans, shirts and jewelry.
I bought flared jeans, a tight black long sleeve shirt and a classic jacket you would see a 'bully' wear in movies.
Boston bought straight jeans that fitted slightly baggy on his skinny self, a black hoodie.
He would wear stuff like that, not too fashionable but still better looking than a few other boys who decided to wear their pajamas to school.
We went to many stores, some including a wedding store, which made me stop in my tracks and make him wear a wedding dress.
We got a few blank stares, a few in shock and others were in disgust, but we didn't care one bit, we were having fun and forgetting everything bad that had happened that day.
Me, Gabby, Boston and Kaylee were the ones that would normally go out shopping.
Gaby was always busy with the yearbook, making me wonder if I would also be that busy once I get inside.
Ren didn't go out as much, mostly because her family is moving away, so we wouldn't see her as much as we did now.
And Aryanah...
Aryanah and I have been having some troubles in our friendship, Boston and Kaylee witnessing it.
I told Gabby about it, mostly since we had switched from having Gym to other classes.
She has Family CSI, me and the others, but Gaby, had Keycode.
I still didn't know what Gaby had, but I believe it was Business Class.
Aryanah was dating this guy, something along the lines of Jackson, and she told us a few days back that this guy liked her.
I told her otherwise. The guy goes to our school, but he went to class during the night, only showing up after morning classes for basketball and football practice.
He doesn't even know her, that was what I told her, but she insisted that her boyfriend was right, specially since they knew each other.
A friend of mine liked the same guy we were talking about, but I didn't bring her up, mostly because I'm sure she wouldn't enjoy the idea.
Aryanah was a pretty wild card, and in the group, she was clearly the least liked.
"Are you joining the yearbook next year?" Asked Boston, in hope that he wouldn't be alone with our art teacher.
"Yeah, but good luck if I don't, then may the gods bless and watch upon you, cause the teacher is gonna be all up your arse." I joked and laughed with him, even though we both knew I was being truthful on my words.
"I'll miss both Gabbies." He confessed and I agreed with him.
12th grade did things differently to 11th and 10th, and they would be far more busy than they already are.
"Thank God for already having an idea of what I'll do with my future." I whispered.
He laughed, "Party all night?"
I scoffed, "You know I hate parties!"
He laughed for a while then stopped to catch a breath.
"I should go," He stated, "don't get yourself killed."
I waved bye to him as I watched his figure ride away on his bike and grabbed my own, heading my way home.
