Husband Jacaerys
Summary â© Headcanons about married life with Jace
Warnings â© Mentions of pregnancy, smut
Masterlist
SFW
First of all, can we all just agree that Jace is absolutely obsessed with you?
You will never find another man in Westeros more loyal to you than your Lord husband, who practically kisses the ground you walk on
From the day you met to the day you said your vows, Jace is the most doting husband, always listening to you and showering you with affection
Especially with kisses, on your forehead specifically
One of his favorite night time routines is to pull you to his chest, placing a kiss to your forehead before you go to sleep
And speaking of sleep, Jace is SUCH a big cuddler
He loves being your big spoon, just holding you against his chest and keeping you warm. It makes him feel good knowing heâs there to protect you at any given moment
On the days that he has to attend meetings or engage in court, he misses you so much <3 Heâs such a simp that literally everyone knows that heâs down bad for you
Daemon will often tease him every time he catches Jace blanking out in meetings, knowing heâs thinking of you
Luke will gag every time Jace kisses you in public, teasing his brother about being whipped for his wife
And every time Jace will go redder than Caraxes, but honestly he doesnât mind. Heâs never afraid to be seeing loving you
When youâre pregnant or when you have kids, heâs so protective over them and you
He loves kissing your belly, admiring how youâre swollen with his children
If needed, Jace will even rub your feet or your back if theyâre hurting during your pregnancy. You always tell him that he doesnât have to, but he insists on making you as comfortable as possible
If you need anything, your husband is quick to get it for you
Even if itâs the middle of the night and youâre craving something like goat cheese and olives then never fear, cause Jace will have it delivered before you can even finish the words
When your children are born, heâs in awe over how perfect they are and heâs literally the best Kepa ever
Heâs adamant on teaching his children High Valaryion and how to become dragon riders. As soon as theyâre old enough, heâll take them on Vermax for their first flight and relish in the way they laugh as they cling to him
And of course, he loves riding with you as well
Even if you have your own dragon, Jace prefers going together, loving the way your face lights up as you soar though the clouds
Life as a prince/King can be extremely stressful, so Jace always looks forward to decompressing with you at the end of the day
Taking baths together and just sitting in the warm water talking to you is his favorite
He loves running his hands over your naked body, feeling every crevice as you sit on lap, back to his chest
With you, Jace never feels like he has to pretend and heâs always at his most relaxed
Heâs also very vulnerable with you, and you are pretty much the only one that heâll talk to about his worries and fears
Overall, heâs a very guarded person so the fact that he lets his walls down for you is a sign of just how much he loves you
No matter what, just know that you 100% lucked out and that with Jace, you will always have someone there to love and protect you
NSFW
Everyone in the Seven Kingdoms knew how much Prince Jacaerys loved his wife. The Prince was soft and loving towards you in public, and in the bedroomâŠ
Well, just ask an unlucky handmaiden or the guard stationed outside of your room and theyâll tell you: Prince Jacaerys is almost never not making love to you
One of his favorite feelings in the world is to have you wrapped around his cock, underneath him as he fucks you slow and passionately
Deep, messy kisses full of tongue and desperatation are his absolute favorite while heâs rutting into you
Your husband 100% whimpers every time he cums, needing so desperately to fill you with his seed that itâs almost primal
Missionary or mating press are his favorite positions for this very reason, because he loves getting you pregnant
Thereâs just something about knowing that youâre carrying his heir, his seed and his legacy that lights a fire inside of him
He often times find himself getting lost in the desire to breed you, and afterwards he stays sheathed inside to the hilt so not a single drop can go to waste
But donât get mistaken; Jace, like any other man, also loves taking you from behind
And more than that, he loves eating your cunt from behind, face messy with slick while he eagerly sucks on your clit
Jace firmly believes that if his wife hasnât had her fill of pleasure then he doesnât get to cum
For that very reason, youâre always overstimulated by the time he finally slips inside of you, the pretty little ring of cum that appears around his cock like a badge of honor for Jace <3

GOJO SATORU: ââ ONE MORE CHANCE? (IT WON'T BE THE LAST) ââ
.àłàż you hate your ex, but nobody else can fuck you half as well â so maybe you'll give him one more chance.
contents: fem!reader. implied unprotected sex, dirty talk (?), lil' bit of praise, lil' bit of degradation, oral (fem. receiving), couch sex, gojo covers your mouth at one point, cursing, lil' bit of teasing/mocking (?). sorta toxic but whatevs we love a toxic king! 2000+ words.
author's note: got lazy in the middle of writing this loll
"he's just so fucking annoying," you groan, swirling the drink in your hand. the ice clinks against the side of the glass as you lift the cup to your lips, sipping the whiskey and wincing at the way it burns the back of your throat. you lean back in the plush couch in your friend's living room and sigh. "i don't know why i ever dated him."
your friend nods in agreement, eyes fixed on her phone for another second before she turns it towards you. "look what he posted on his instagram."
on your friend's screen is an instagram story, and the tag shows that it's from your ex-boyfriend â satoru gojo. tired of his insensitivity and annoying nature, you had dumped him two weeks ago, and god, you'd never had such a petty ex in your life.
after you broke up with him, he blocked you from all his socials and got all his friends to do the same. so, since he practically knew everyone, you lost a hundred followers.
and apparently, he's out fucking some other girl right now.
the story on your friend's phone is a picture of a smirking satoru with his arm wrapped around some girl with a red plastic cup in her hand. they're bathed in overhead red lights, and you can barely make out a familiar dark-haired boy in the back â another one of satoru's fuckboy friends.
"he's such a manwhore," your friend says with an eyeroll. "d'you want to stay the night?"
you shake your head, setting down the now-empty glass on a coaster. "it's alright, i wouldn't want to intrude," you say with a rueful smile.
your friend eyes you suspiciously for another second before leaning back in her own seat and closing her eyes. "stay safe, it's pretty late."
you nod and toss your things into your bag before stepping out the door, closing it gently behind you. as you get in your car and drive back to your house, thoughts of satoru fill your head.Â
you don't recognize the girl under satoru's arm, but she's pretty â too pretty for him. sure, satoru was conventionally attractive, with his ocean-blue eyes and flawless physique, but still.Â
satoru was a shitty boyfriend, and now he's an even shittier ex. when you two dated, his spoiled brattiness and constant sorry, i forgot's drove you insane. he couldn't even remember your birthday. it was a miracle that you tolerated him for that long â until your one-year anniversary, which obviously slipped his mind.
"you're so insensitive," you groan, dragging a hand down your face. satoru suppresses a sigh, blue eyes looking everywhere but at you. "andâ satoru, are you even listening to me?"
you're quiet for three seconds before he responds, and naturally, it was with a "huh? yeah, what is it?"
every time. every single time.
"it's over," you mutter, shaking your head frustratedly. "we're over, satoru."
"fine," he responds after a moment. "i never really liked you anyways."
"fuck you."
if you didn't give a fuck about that white-haired bastard anymore, why did the memory of your breakup still sting?
you try to tell yourself that it doesn't matter. maybe it was for the best â he was out with some pretty girl, so why couldn't you go out and sleep with some hot guy?Â
you make up your mind right as you step into your house, and thirty minutes later, you're in a tight dress and four-inch heels. and it's almost funny how easy it is to doll up when you don't have a horny boyfriend trying to fuck you every two seconds.
right before you step out the door, you eye yourself in the mirror and can't help but admire the way your dress hugs your waist, accentuating your curves. that smug manwhore didn't know what he was missing out on â so why not show him?
you pull out your phone and take a picture of yourself, snapping a couple before deciding on one and posting it on your story. you knew he'd see it â you intentionally let his burner stay unblocked, and coincidentally, he didn't block you either.Â
just as you push open your door, you realize that your phone's on death's door â just over five percent remaining. so you plug it into your charger, kicking your feet impatiently as you wait for it to charge to a reasonable amount.
some part of you wants to chicken out, to stay home and spend the night watching a classic romcom. but the other part of you, the part that can't ignore the fact that you haven't had sex in two weeks, urges you to go out and get laid.
so twenty minutes later, when your phone finally hits forty percent, you practically throw open the door and rush out and find yourself face-to-face with the guy who's somewhere between belly conklin and andy bernard on your most-disliked list. satoru gojo.
"what the fuck are you doing here?" you snap, wrapping your arms around yourself as the cold night air touches your bare skin. satoru eyes you up and down, and suddenly, you're very aware of just how exposed you are. "satoru, answer the damn question."
"where are you going?" he asks, eyes narrowing when they settle on your dress's deep neckline.Â
"none of your business," you reply shortly, biting the inside of your cheek. unfortunately, satoru looks good. just like in his instagram story, he has one button undone in his collar, and his hair is rumpled and perfect all at the same time. "answer the fuckin' question."
"saw your story," satoru replies, slipping his hands into his pocket. "you going out on a date or something?"
the question catches you off guard, and your irritated expression drops for a moment. strangely enough, satoru doesn't have his usual smug expression on his face â he looks conflicted. he never looks conflicted.
"doesn't matter," you respond, walking around him and relishing the way your heels clack on the concrete ground. without turning around, you ask, "so, what about my story made you come over?"
you're not sure why you're baiting him. maybe it's the slight chance that he would beg to get you back, maybe it's the tightness in your chest and pussy, or maybe you just want the satisfaction of seeing satoru squirm.
whatever it is, it lets satoru take you by the wrist and drag you back inside. you suppose that if you can get dick at home, then there's no point in going all the way to the club. and it's not like you're gonna get back together over one night â this would be purely physical. he wanted you, and you wouldn't mind him.
"fuck, right there, sweetheart," satoru groans, pushing your legs impossibly farther apart as his tongue laps at your pussy. the two of you barely made it to the couch in your living room before satoru pushed you down, a mischievous smile on his lips. one thing turned to another, and soon enough he was on his knees in front of you and eatung you out like a starving man.
"you're such a loser," you mutter, threading your fingers through his hair as his tongue makes you see stars. he really was â who shows up to their ex's place after getting dumped? a laugh bubbles out of satoru's lips while his mouth is still on your pussy and it makes you shiver. satoru looks up at you, an amused gleam in his eyes.
"s' that so?" satoru mumbles, pressing his lips to your inner thigh with a smirk. "then why'd you let me in, huh?"
"why would i go out when i can just get fucked at home?" you say dryly, a smile growing on your lips. "since you made the effort of coming all the way here."
"my pleasure," satoru scoffs sarcastically, getting up and joining you on the couch as he tugs you into his lap. "so i'm the pathetic loser here, yeah?"
you nod, letting satoru unzip the back of your dress with one hand. he laughs and shakes his head. "you're the one who let me in, baby."
"yeah, well, you showed up."
"you coulda slammed the door in my face."
"maybe i should've," you mutter, not liking the way he's grinning at you. "you gonna fuck me or what?"
"aw, you're desperate. how cute," he replies without missing a beat. it's been a while since you got to banter with satoru like this, and some part of you misses it. sure, he's disgustingly cocky, but at least he has the dick to back it up. and it's fun, too â you like the chase, and clearly, he does too.
"not really," you say with a shrug. that's a lie â the only reason you let him in was to get fucked, and contrary to the excuses falling from your mouth, you were getting impatient. not that he needed to know that.
"fine. have it your way, brat." satoru smiles cheekily and bounces his leg up and down, making you grit your teeth as you struggle to focus.
you make a face at satoru, crossing your arms. "what are youâ"
"waiting."
"for what?"
"for you to beg."
your mouth falls open, and you glare at satoru, hating the way he's smugly grinning at you. this isn't the first time he's asked you to beg for him to fuck you â back when the two of you were dating, he had no problem edging you the whole night and practically making you cry for him.
"not this again," you groan, letting out a drawn-out sigh. "just fuck me already, satoru. or i'll go get someone else to."
satoru clicks his tongue, smiling lazily. "we both know you won't do that."
again, he's right, and god, you hate him for it. "just shut up and fuck me."
"alright, since you asked so nicely," satoru drawls, running his tongue over his teeth. he studies you intently, white hair falling into his eyes. before you can ask what he's looking at, he has you pinned against the couch cushions, face down and ass up.Â
"good girl, stayin' nice and quiet for me," satoru groans, hand clasped over your mouth as he pounds into you from behind. "you always talked too much. never knew when to shut that damn mouth."
you moan against his hand, unable to think about anything else but satoru and his dick. that's the only reason the two of you stayed together for as long as you did â because the sex was irreplaceable. and after two weeks without getting fucked, you seriously consider throwing all pride out the window and begging for him back.
"shit, you're so fuckin' tight," satoru says with a rough laugh. "have you really not fucked with anyone else since you dumped me?"Â
you shake your head, eyes pressed shut as satoru continues sloppily thrusting into you. there's a coil in your chest that's threatening to burst, and the whines slipping out of your lips increase in both pitch and volume.
at this point, you can hardly remember why you broke up with satoru â or maybe, he's just not giving you a chance to remember. his pace is relentless and mind-numbing, and shit, maybe it's for the best.
when he finally lets you cum, it's the best feeling you've had in what feels like forever. the edges of your vision go white, and satoru removes his hand from your mouth, letting out the lewd, muffled sounds that you've been suppressing all this time. not long after, satoru cums too, and it's sloppy, messy, and all over you.Â
satoru collapses on top of your back, hot breaths slipping out of his mouth and brushing against your cheek. "took me so good, baby," he groans, pressing his lips to your neck and laughing breathily. "we should do this again sometime."
you shouldn't like this. you should be shoving him out your door, but his mischievous smile is irresistible. and even though you know this time probably won't end any different than the rest, you decide to give satoru one more chance.
"yeah, same time tomorrow?"
"anythin' for you."

What is yours
Astarion x gn!Reader
Summary: A stroll through the market evokes an unpleasant sensation in Astarion.
Word Count: 3,1k
hurt/comfort, jealousy, fluff
[ AO3 ]
The warm rays of the midday sun bathed the marketsâ goods in a marvellous light. The place was bustling, a scent of spices lingering in the air and hurried voices brimming.Â
If someone had told Astarion that one day heâd be able to move around Baldurâs Gate so freely again, heâd probably huffed merely a dry laugh â and yet here he was, following you through the narrow streets of his city, admiring how much colour the world had to offer.
Of course it was you who had dragged him along for the mundane task to gather some food for your companions back at camp. Astarion couldn't care less to fill up their bellies, as his own appetite was perfectly stilled from your generosity when it came to offer him your blood, but one blink from your doe eyes had been enough to convince him to accompany you.
Well, that, and perhaps that warm feeling that refused to leave his chest when he was with you.Â
It was obvious that you loved to stroll around the market, savouring the colourful impressions while taking a break from all the fighting and gore your journey to rid yourself from the tadpoles held for you.Â
Astarion had never watched you spending your coin so lightly before. You probably thought it was time to treat yourself once in a while, and who was he to deny you this little pleasure? He had to admit that he actually adored seeing your face light up over the different trinkets you bought, eagerly filling your bags and pouches with your newest additions.
âLet's get some fruit for the others while weâre at it,â you suggested, pointing towards a merchant presenting an inviting range of fresh goods. âSomething nutritious seems much needed after we fed mostly on leftovers for the past weeks.â
Your shoulders were loaded with the various goods you had already bought â dyes, herbs, some new toys for Scratch and the owlbear cub and a bunch of flasks to fill with potions.
âAs you wish,â Astarion replied, when a display of weapons caught his eye. His last pair of daggers had become rather blunt from the Goblin throats heâd cut, so maybe it was time to treat himself as well, he thought and gently grabbed your wrist. Â
âOn second thought, why don't you go ahead while I'll have another look around here, my love?â he asked and came to a stop. âI haven't much expertise to add when it comes to your culinary needs, and those daggers look rather appealing.â
âSounds fine with me, but try not to spend all of our gold at once,â you teased and squeezed his shoulder.
âHah, you're one to talk. Please remind me, who was it again that just bought five new toys for Scratch, so he had a set of different colours to choose from?â
âHe needs some variety,â you muttered, trying to keep up a serious expression. âBut nevermind, see you in a minute then.âÂ
You pressed a quick kiss to his cheek and waved, already on your way to spend some more of your coin.
Astarion couldnât help but smile over your excitement for the market, before he picked up a dagger from the display in front of him. The handle appeared to be of higher quality than his current ones, and the blade looked sharp enough to inflict some hurt.
As he gazed further through the wares, pondering which one would fit him best, he spared a glance to check on you.Â
He spotted you a few stalls away at the fruit stand you had mentioned. The vendor you were talking to gesticulated wildly while presenting his wares, leading you to laugh.
Astarion frowned and put the dagger away to take a closer look.
The vendor was young, an elf with blond curls, and Astarion noticed that he wasnât an unpleasant sight.Â
He was immediately bothered by the smile you gave the other man, the way he touched your hands as he started to offer you bite-sized pieces of fruit to taste.
His fingers lingered too long against yours for Astarionâs liking.
As he continued to watch you from afar, something inside his belly started to seethe â hot and ugly.
A feeling he experienced before when it came to you, but couldn't quite grasp.
Well, whatever this was, Astarion certainly wasnât jealous. Not of some random street vendor at least â and why should he be? Because you had smiled so sweetly at him? Or because you were laughing again as you took another piece of fruit from his filthy hands?Â
What in the nine hells could be so entertaining about buying fruit anyway?Â
It was ridiculous, really, and yet Astarion imagined how it would feel to rip the vendor's throat as punishment for daring to touch you.Â
Would he bleed out quickly? Would he scream?
Astarion shook his head, shoving the violent image aside.
He remembered the previous occasions when that unpleasant burning inside his stomach had appeared. It was the moment Gale decided it was appropriate to show you his so-called magical weave, or the other day when Wyll proposed a dance to you. You had kindly rejected both of them, but Astarion was still not particularly impressed by their interest in you.Â
He knew what others would seek from you. Why they wanted you. For the same reasons he enjoyed being with you: your compassion, the kindness you spread. Your special talent to make him feel seen.Â
There was also your wit, the way you would crack a joke even in the most maddening situations, making him feel light. And not to mention, you were a beautiful vision if Astarion had ever seen one.
Of course there would be others who saw those qualities as well, aiming to claim you.
A sudden wave of anxiety flooded his mind, moulding an appaling image in his skull.
He wondered if one day you would prefer someone else over him.
Someone who would match your kindness â acting all selfless and heroic, indulging in activities he found little pleasure in.
Providing you with something Astarion might be unable to give you, ever, no matter how much he cared about you.
Hells, what if you were already seeking someone like that?
His stomach dropped.
The dreadful notion spread its relentless claws past his ribs, tearing holes in his dead heart.
Blood rushed to his ears.
Before he even realised, his feet were already dragging him towards you.
He needed to be close to you â doing anything to make this feeling stop.
When he arrived next to you, he placed a hand on the small of your back and grasped your tunic, a little tighter than he'd intended.
He tried his best to keep his composure.
âAre we all done here, my love?â he asked, forcing a smile that didnât reach his eyes.
âOh, Astarion!â You smiled when you noticed him, unaware of his musings. Your pouch was filled to the brink with fresh fruits. âYes, I guess that would be all.â
Astarion felt the need to pull you away, but before he came up with an excuse to leave immediately, the merchant was already addressing you again.Â
âThink about it, will you?â A smug grin plastered that manâs face as he spoke to you, casually bending over his counter.
Astarion gave you a confused look.
Think about what?Â
âUnfortunately thereâs no time to join the tavern tonight, but thank you for the offer. Maybe next time,â you said amicably and packed up your wares.
What was that?Â
Astarion thought he must have misheard.
âWhat a shame. Perhaps you can give it a second thought.â The vendor was still beaming at you, before he turned to Astarion. âYour friend can come too, of course.â
âOh, that sounds splendid. We will think about it, will we, darling?â
Astarion bit his tongue, swallowing the impulse to spit a cutting remark on top of his obvious sarcasm.
What in the nine hells was this mongrel thinking, inviting you to the tavern? And how he was speaking to him â as if he was some irrelevant bystander.
âLet's see what we can do,â you said politely, already on your way to move on. âHave a nice day. And thank you again.â
âYou as well,â replied the salesman and waved.Â
Astarion gritted his teeth as he followed you through the busy alleyways, still processing what just happened.
The vendor's words appeared in his mind.
That man had obviously desired to fuck you, and wasnât even trying to hide his advances.
How could he have dared.
Astarion regretted that he had acted so passive in that moment. Usually he wasnât one to hesitate, always a sharp comment dancing on his tongue, and yet⊠the thought of losing you to someone else had shifted something in him, turning him small.
His fury grew.
Oh, how he would love to grab that despicable pig by his throat, banishing that filthy grin of his face. Making him bleed. But he knew that unlike him, you would gladly refrain from a public bloodbath, so he shoved away those violent fantasies, even if the fire continued to seeth in him â unpleasant and hot.
He tried to fathom what posed the worst about this whole ordeal: The way in which the man had aimed to claim you, or his fear that you enjoyed those cheap advances â possibly were fond of it even.
Astarion's mood couldn't have been more sour as you arrived at a secluded area, away from the markets bustling.
âCan you believe it? That seller insisted on giving me a discount,â you broke the silence and pointed proudly at the wares you had gathered. âAnd they say there are no kind people left in Baldur's Gate.â
And just as the words had left your throat, Astarion finally snapped.
âIs that so?â he hissed, baring his fangs. âHow generous. What a nice, handsome gentleman he is, also inviting you to the tavern with him.â He spoke harsh â his tone cold and venomous.Â
You came to an abrupt stop, resting the groceries on the ground and fixating your gaze on his, a furrow between your eyebrows.Â
âWhat are you implying?â You sounded puzzled.
âOh, don't act so naive, darling, you know what I'm implying. That man wanted to bed you, everyone could see it from the way he treated you. And by the laughs you offered him, you seemed to enjoy his attention as well, did you not? What a flirt you are.â
His accusations left a taste of ash in his mouth. Moments before his anger seemed directed at the manâs advances, and now his bottled-up wrath was boiling onto you.
The bewildered look on your face turned into something else, something sad, your eyes losing their shine. He sensed that he mustâve hurt you, and it tugged at his heartstrings.
âSo, youâre jealous of that man, is that what this is about?â
âMe? Being jealous of some filthy street vendor?â Astarion scoffed, immediately falling back to his dramatics, gesticulating defensively with his hands. âDon't insult me, darling. I find it amusing that he thinks he can have you, and I didnât fail to miss your interest in him,â he bit, almost choking on the dry chuckle that spilled from his lips.
âThere was no interest from my side, other than purchasing some of his wares,â you explained. Then you opened your mouth again, sharply sucking air between your teeth, before your gaze softened. Your voice was calm, without spite or anger. âHe recognized me, Astarion. From the article in the gazette. Slayer of the evil Ketheric Thorm and all that fuss. Does that ring a bell?âÂ
Of course he remembered. It was him that had to sneak past those giant steel watchers back at the gazetteâs building, convincing the magical press to print an article in your favour. An article that wouldnât taint your reputation, unlike the one Gortash had commissioned to derogate you.Â
Astarion couldnât deny that after the praising piece was published, you were indeed met with an unusual kindness from the people of Baldur's Gate.Â
âWell, how could I forget?â Astarion's face twisted. âBut that doesn't mean he didn't have something else in mind with you. Some people certainly would love to bury their blade inside a true hero for once, I can imagine.â
You sighed and rolled your eyes. âEven if he did want to bed me, what does it matter?â
An icy grip twisted Astarion's chest. The image of you with someone else stung in his eyes, making him sick.Â
Before he could growl another reply, you rested your hand on his arm, catching his fuming. âHey â look at me, you silly goose.âÂ
Your tender touch was enough to quell the blazing flame in his belly.Â
You spoke so warmly to him. So... loving.
Astarion rested his eyes on you and was met with an affectionate smile that disarmed him completely.
âAstarion, donât you realise that I couldn't care less if thousands of people felt the sudden need to bed me?â
He bit his cheek, remaining silent.
âYouâre the only one I want, you jealous fool. No one else â not now, not ever, and certainly not some random street vendor that throws a discount at me because he thinks of me as some kind of hero.â
Astarionâs features involuntarily softened as he took in your words. The fury that was about to overwhelm him dissolved into a flutter, engulfing his chest, washing away the seething that hooked at his ribcage.
âReally?â Only one word left his mouth, before he cleared his throat. âI mean â I'm not surprised of course, as you seem to literally cling to my side these days.â A poor attempt to cover his insecurity, but the best he could muster.
âReally,â you assured and gently tapped on his temple, âI vow on the tadpole flooding inside our brains.â You chuckled as you rested your hands on the back of his neck and shifted closer to him.Â
âWell, but those might be gone someday,â Astarion mumbled.
âAnd even then, I will remain at your side. Only if you want me to, of course.â
Astarion didnât have to think of his answer, the words spilling from his lips like a reflex.
âYes, I would want that,â he whispered sincerely, his flamboyant mask crumbling. âLook, it's not that I don't trust you. Itâs just⊠Well, I guess I'm used to losing what I hold dear. And the thought of losing you to someone else⊠I donât know, apparently it woke something in me.âÂ
He felt almost ashamed over his sudden lack of eloquence, being so raw with you, but there was a sense of relief in opening up. To his surprise, it was even more soothing than losing himself in violence.
You looked at him with affection and cupped his cheek, your thumb brushing over his skin. He closed his eyes and sunk against your palm.Â
âIt's alright, Astarion, you don't have to explain. I promise you, you wonât lose me to someone else. As you said, I tend to cling to your side these days, and truth be told, I have no intention to stop.â
âI hope you wonât,â Astarion replied and took your hand in his to press a kiss to your fingertips. âBut honestly, I have to apologise for doubting your intentions with me. With us.â
âI forgive you, lover,â you replied tenderly. âI didn't take you for the overly jealous type, though,â you added with a smirk.
Astarion offered you a wry smile. âLet's not dwell on it, shall we?â
Then he reached for your face, softly taking your chin between his thumb and index finger and rested his lips on your forehead, followed by a kiss to the tip of your nose.
You wrapped your arms around his waist to pull him into a close embrace. He could sense your heartbeat against his cold body, your pulse drumming in a comforting rhythm.
For a moment you were just holding each other, your head against his chest, Astarion relishing your warmth and kissing your hair. Your touch was relieving. Assuring.
You were with him, and had promised not to leave.Â
Your affirmations repeated in his mind: You wanted him. Only him alone.
This was all new territory and Astarion sensed it would take some time for him to fully adjust, yes, but right now⊠this was all he could wish for.
âSomehow I don't want to let go of you, little love,â he hummed to your ear.
âThen don't,â you breathed and kissed along his neck, brushing his bite marks with your lips, sending a shiver down his spine. A particularly sensible spot, but you were allowed to touch him there.
Gods, how deeply he had fallen for you.
Astarion drew you even closer and sighed, your hands grasping the fabric of his shirt.Â
When he gently peeled away from your hug, you looked up to him and bit your lip.
âCan I be completely honest with you?â you asked sheepishly.
âWhat is it, my sweet?â
âWell... I think that merchant truly wanted to bed me.â
Astarion laughed â deep, coming from his belly â surprised by his own lightness. The idea of fuming over your obvious admirer seemed almost ridiculous all of a sudden.Â
âI told you so. But now that you see it too, I guess you wouldn't mind if we turn back for a quick chat? I would love to take care of that dear fellow,â he replied mischievously. While his fury was gone, he still wouldnât mind some misdemeanour.
âAstarion!â you scolded, but joined his laughter. âPlease spare that innocent man.â
âRelax darling, I will. For now at least. And only because you asked so nicely.â His fangs poked from the grin that adorned his lips.
âGood boy,â you teased and brushed one of his white curls behind his ear, his grin widening from your touch.
As you walked back to camp, hands softly entwined, Astarion noticed that probably for the first time in his life someone truly belonged to him â willingly, out of love.
You belonged to him.Â
The thought grew in his chest, wandered up to his eyes, spreading affection through his entire body, and for the remaining way back to camp he didnât let go of your hand.

Your ears rang with the sounds of laughter, chatter, and the bustling of the crowd. Your arm circled your husband's as you walked through the festival.
The event was coming to an end, which called for everyone to gather for the fireworks. You excitedly made your way to the benches with Toji in tow.
You were surprisingly quick, even with your kimono weighing you down. You were not one to dress up for festivals but you had just wanted to look and feel pretty for your husband today.
You were having the best day. Your mouth was still burning from the spicy yakisoba you had slurped up earlier, so you were delighted when Toji handed you a plate of dango for the two of you to enjoy.
Settling yourself down on one of the stair benches, Toji takes the now empty plate away and sets it down beside him.Â
You hug his arm close, leaning and nuzzling into him. A hummed slightly, feeling content with the evening.
It wasn't long before the first firework exploded into life. The sparks fly as if they defy gravity with the subtle deafening ringing they bring.
The colors of each firework erupt into intricate shapes, sweeping the crowd in their wonder.
You couldn't look away at the beginning, not risking to miss the sight. But after a while had the urge to make a comment on the fireworks.
You turn to look at Toji, only, his sight isn't parallel to yours. His thin lips held a smile as his eyes were trained on someone else.
A woman sitting way ahead at the front. She was cheering with her friends, the radiant light displayed on her skin. The muscles of your cheeks twitch, not being able to stop the frown from embedding itself.
You felt the uneasiness bubble in your stomach when your eyes ghosted over her features.
Your chest felt heavy, not really knowing why. Sure, he was looking at another woman, doesn't mean he likes her, right?
He is just admiring something else, there's nothing wrong with that. You do so too, it isn't really a big deal.
No need to make it a big deal.
Goosebumps spread across your body, feeling very uncomfortable all of a sudden.
The fireworks show was over, yet, his eyes hadn't left her, and yours hadn't left him.
You softly shake his arm making him look at you, and seeing your glum face made him concerned, not that he showed it.
"You okay?" He asked plainly.
"My stomach's upset, I don't think the dango was prepared well."
"Oh? I feel fine though. Sure it wasn't something you ate before the festival?" He asks, taking his arm out of your hold and touching your back.
"Could be. Can we leave? I think I just need to sleep it off."
"Sure, let's go." He stands up, taking your hand in his as the two of you start walking away.
You take one last look at the woman he was staring at, making sure your eyes weren't deceiving you.
And your heartbeat only faltered noticing her uncanny resemblance to Toji's ex-wife.
Toji sat on the couch enjoying the music playing on TV as you took a bath. It had become a custom.
Despite the fact you took longer to clean yourself up, you would always shower before him.
It used to be the other way around when you first moved in together, but while Toji would be in the bath you would end up falling asleep, Toji not having it in his heart to wake you.
So he insisted that you shower before him while he could catch up on other things.
Like right now, getting daily updates from Megumi.
"Where's mom? I want to say good night to her as well." Megumi's voice comes through from the phone.Â
"She's in the shower. How was college today?"
"Good. Tired though."
"Then sleep ya lil' shit."
"Not before I talk to Ma."
Toji grumbles.
"She just went, it might be a while."
"I'll wait."
You on the other hand were scrubbing every part of your body with a subtle harshness. The stinging cold water rained on you, the coolness calming the overwhelming thoughts of your brain.
This wasn't something that bothered you usually.
You loved your relationship with Toji, and you loved him. You loved Megumi as if he were your own blood.
Yet there was always something off, something uneasy that always radiated off of Toji.
And you knew why.
You always enjoyed the stories Toji would share about his past, Rei, and baby Megumi. Listening happily to him describing the husband and father he was before you came in.
You loved listening about Toji's last wife because you liked the small twinkle in his eyes, and how a smile would form on the usually stoic Megumi's face.
You understood and accepted the love he had for her. And you knew if she hadn't succumbed to her illness, the three of them would be a happy family.
And you wouldn't be here.
You had an unspeakable amount of respect for the late Rei, but just sometimes you wished it wasn't like this.
Because you would catch Toji trying to remind himself that she's not here anymore, and it's the most heartbreaking thing.
It was the first time the 12-year-old Megumi accidentally called you 'Mom' and you remembered catching Toji's crestfallen face from your peripheral vision.Â
It had only been 2 years into this relationship, so you were caught off guard when Megumi did so.
You were really happy, but catching the look on Toji's face made your head fill with doubt.
4 years after your relationship, Toji finally got on one knee. So why did he hesitate before slipping the ring on your finger?
You still remember your third date with this man. It was a month after you both met and had invited him home for dinner.
He had declined but later changed his mind. Despite his dislike for alcohol, you both shared a few cups of wine.
Wine lead to dinner...dinner lead to more wine...and wine lead to talks. During your conversation, he had let it slip that his ex-wife had died 3 years ago today.
And before you knew it, he was moaning her name as he fucked you.
Your face was pressed into the pillow, letting out guttural moans at Toji's thrusts. You could feel the veins of cock against your walls, and your eyes rolled back, never having experienced something like this before.
"Ngh~ Yes! Please don't stop!"
"F-fuck you like this bitch?"Â
He gives you a harsh spank, making you stick out your ass more and push against him. He suddenly halts, and his strong hold on you means you stopped too.
You manage to crane your neck and look back at him, taking note of his dazed look.
His face was pink and he looked completely out of it, and you couldn't tell if he was drunk on wine or your pussy.
His fingers brushed against your virgin entrance. Your breath hitched when he put pressure against the muscle.
"Relax. Had anything here before?" He asks, bringing his hand to his mouth and spitting on it.
"N-no..."
"Thought so." His wet fingers smoothed over your hole, simultaneously slipping his cock out, making you whine.
He crouches down, bringing his lips to where his fingers were, giving you a slow lick.Â
You flinch at the foreign touch.
"Toji~" Your voice sounded like you were crying.
"Shhh, won't do much, baby. Just enjoy this." His tongue finally pressed against you, your hole flexing against him.
His tongue pushed in slowly making you move away from him from embarrassment.
"I can't Toji... 's too much!" You cried against the pillow.
His hands engulf your body, holding you close.
"Shhhhh...it's okay. She liked it too, so you'll learn for me, okay?" He slurs.
There was a flicker of discomfort from his words, but before you could question it, his cock was in you.
His thrusts were faster than before, hands working your chest as they painfully pinch your nipples.
"Hngg! R-right there! There! Toji!~"
"Such a fucking slut. Taking a cock that's too big for her. You're squeezing me out of you, nasty bitch."
"Fuuckkk~ Please! Please! I'm s-so close- Ahh!"Â
Never had you had anything so deep within you before, your body absorbing every bit of pleasure that this man could give you.
"Yeah? Gon' cum f'me? Fuck cum baby. Wanna feel your pussy cum on me."
Toji's hand leaves your chest and finds your chin. He cups your face and brings you close to him, lips on your cheek as he grunts in your ear.
Your vision goes blank and you can hardly process Toji's moaning.
"You're so good Rei. So fuckin' proud of my wife. Clenching me so good. Gonna give you another baby, yea? Want my cum Rei?"
And you stupidly nod during your high, blatantly ignoring his calls for his ex-wife.
"Want your cum! Please Toji!"
You gasp out desperately. His hands find your hair, and he is once again pressing your face into the mattress.
Your body is shivering as you leave the shower, hand desperately wiping your face to soothe your red face.
Chewing on your lip, you sat on the bed contemplating your decisions up until now.
Did you make a mistake?
You did, didn't you?
You remember that night, just how pathetic you felt when you came to your senses.Â
There had been a slight ringing in your ear after the session. You would joke in your mind that it was a siren, warning you of this budding 'relationship'.
Toji had made you feel a satisfaction like no other, yet it had left you feeling a sense of malaise.
Neither of you addressed it the morning after. You wanted to say something but were unsure if he had retained any memory from the night before.
So you let it go, just giving an excuse like 'he was grieving' or 'we're not even official, it's fine' and 'we were both too drunk'.
And something like that never happened again, but you still can't help but think if every time you both get intimate, is it really just you on his mind?
Toji is caught off guard when he enters the room, the concern now evident on his face.Â
You had been behaving distant since the end of the festival, but seeing you spaced out, sitting at the edge of the bed with only a towel around you as your nails worked to peel off the chapped skin of your lips, something was very wrong here.
"You chill, babe?" Toji asks, Megumi still on video call.
You don't even flinch when you hear his voice. You just simply stop picking at your lips, look up, and smile sweetly at your husband.
"Mhm...just worrying about Megumi." You lie.
"Well, he's on call, waiting for you."
"Oh! Gimme!" You stand up quickly, pretending as if there's nothing wrong as you snatch his phone.
Seeing Megumi's.....your son's.....face lifted your heavy heart. You walk to the right side of the bed and settle yourself on the floor, back supported by the bed.
You look back once more, smiling at Toji.
"You should take a shower. And be quick, or I might just fall asleep before you." You grin before turning your attention to your...son.
Thinking of Megumi as your son had started to feel uneasy, especially in front of Toji.
"Hi, baby! How are the dorms? Have you been attending all your lectures? You shouldn't miss any." You start.
"Yes Ma, I have. They are interesting but the teachers are old and boring." You let out a giggle at his response. As you speak, you hear the showers turn on.
"You know, you can skip a few lectures here and there, just don't let it affect your credits. I won't tell your father."
"I heard that!" Toji's voice is muffled yet his words are clear, clear enough to reach Megumi.Â
You and Megumi let out a chuckle at this.
"Yeah yeah." Megumi lets out a yawn and you 'aw' at the sight.
"Go to sleep, honey. It's late." You say, secretly hoping to end the call early.
"Mhm, I'll talk tomorrow, Ma."
"Sure. Night baby. Muahh!" You lean forward to give an audible peck on the camera.
"Good night." Megumi smiles subtly at your actions before hanging up the call.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
You stand up from your seat on the floor, placing Toji's phone on the nightstand.
Walking towards the bathroom, you drop the towel on the floor and open the door.
From the looks of it, Toji had just finished cleaning his hair. So, without wasting time you crept up behind him.
Your hands find his back, slowly smoothing them over to the front. Toji had seen you enter so he wasn't surprised by your touch.
Your right hand that settled on his chest was now trailing lower and lower. Toji watched your hand intently, his eyebrows furrowing.
Just before your hand touched him, he had intercepted your trail by clutching your wrist in his hand.
He turned around, your wrist in his hold as he looked at you with a confused glare.
"Why are your hands shaking?"Â

Did I Say That Out Loud?
Pairing: Ace x Reader
SFW
Summary: You and Ace get lost in a snowstorm. While Ace is fine in the cold, you need warming up, and he's willing to help. Warnings: Fluff, Huddling for Warmth, Accidental Confession Word Count: 1.2k Notes: This is a short thing I wrote to break myself out of a funk I got into with a different, longer piece. I just had to write about Ace huddling for warmth, he's perfect for it! Crossposted from Ao3
There are few things you can rely on in the Grand Line. Thereâs danger around every corner, both from the environment and the pirates filling every inch of it. Thereâs few people you trust, and fewer who deserve it. But up until now, you would have said you trusted Portgas D. Ace with every fiber of your being.
And then he got you lost.
âI could have sworn it was around here.â You have no idea where here even is, your vision filled with nothing but white as the snow continues to fall. Youâd always trusted his directions, knowing his survival skills were finely honed from his childhood, but youâre suddenly reminded he grew up in a jungle nothing at all like the snow capped peaks of the mountain youâre currently stuck on. Heâs scratching his head, checking a map that looks absolutely nothing like the terrain around you.
âAce.â You try to keep the anger out of your voice, but with the way his shoulders tense you can see you failed. âDo you have any idea where we are right now?â
âUm.â He looks back at you, puppy dog eyes wide and asking for forgiveness. âWeâre on the mountain?â
âOh my god.â You put your head in your hands, which are rapidly losing feeling from the cold. Your gloves are not thick enough for the temperature right now, the gentle snow from when you docked slowly growing closer and closer to a blizzard. âWeâre gonna die.â
âWeâre not gonna die.â You feel a warm hand on your head, grounding you and pulling you from the panicking bubbling in your chest. âWe brought food and water, weâre gonna find shelter, and weâll wait out the storm. It shouldnât last long.â
âHow do you know that?â You peek up at him through your lashes, and see nothing but his smile, soft and reassuring.
âA storm like this shouldnât last longer than a day at most.â He sees the panic on your face again, and he continues. âI know a day sounds like a long time, but we have enough supplies for at least a few, if we ration, and we passed a cave on the way here that seemed pretty protected from the elements. Weâll really be fine, I promise.â He gives you that boyish smile that makes his face light up like the sun, the one that always makes your heart race.
You nod at him tiredly. The hand on your head shifts to fall around your shoulders easily and effortlessly, and he pulls you under his arm for a quick side hug. You expect him to pull back, but you see his brows furrow as he pulls you closer. âYouâre freezing.â His free hand grabs one of yours and he hisses slightly at the feeling of your ice cold fingers. âOh god, youâre really freezing. Letâs hurry.â His hands warm further, the heat seeping through your thin gloves and inadequate coat, and he begins to pull you forward in the snow.
You find the cave relatively quickly, thankfully, and Ace quickly makes a small fire for you two. He looks especially beautiful in firelight, like he was born for it. You donât often get to admire him like that, usually only seeing him bathed in flame in battle, but in this peaceful moment you finally get to take your time memorizing his face in the gentle orange light. His freckles look particularly charming like this, and you suddenly have the urge to kiss them.
The cold must be getting to you. Another shiver racks your body, and you realize that it really is, your lips feeling numb and the cold floor beneath you doing nothing to help the situation. You wonder how long it would take for someone to die of exposure.Â
âYou alright over there?â He gives an easy smile, but you can see the tension behind it. Heâs genuinely concerned.
âIâve been better.â You struggle to speak over the chattering of your teeth. He seems entirely unbothered by the cold, of course, with his powers, though heâs still wearing a thick black coat just for the sake of it. His face is painted with concern as he approaches you, nose scrunched adorably in thought, but you see his eyes light up with an idea. He reaches you, settling close, before he begins unbuttoning his coat and revealing his bare torso.
âAhâumâAce?â He slips his coat off, and youâre torn between admiring his physique and worrying about him catching a cold, no matter how impossible you know that is. He doesnât acknowledge your confusion and concern, instead wrapping his coat tightly around you, engulfing you in his scent.
âAre you still cold?â He leans closer, and you can barely focus on his words over the smoky scent of his coat.
âUm, a little?â It comes out as a question.
âHm.â He puffs out his cheeks a little in displeasure. âWell. I have one more idea.â Without any warning, he abruptly pulls you into his lap, his strong arms wrapping around you as your frantically adjust to keep your head from pressing directly between his pecs. You end up with your thighs on either side of his hips, your hands on his chest, your noses brushing together.
âIs that any better?â Heâs staring intently into your eyes as he asks. You can feel his breath on your face, feel his heartbeat beneath your hands, see every freckle painted across his face.
God, what I wouldnât give for you to kiss me right now.
âWhat?â
Oh.
Oh no.
âIââ You try to push away in panic, but his arms keep you in place.
âDo you mean that?â His breath is against your lips, so hot compared to the chill around you.
You want to tell him no, to insist he misheard you, salvage some of your dignity, but then you register the intensity of his eyes as something you werenât expecting: hope.
âYes.â
His lips crash against yours as he pulls you impossibly closer, the heat radiating off of him seeping into you down to your very bones. His strong hands come to rest on your hips, and your hands wander up to tangle in his raven hair. You can hardly feel the icy cold anymore, can hardly feel anything but Ace pressed against you and his soft lips on yours. He nips lightly at your bottom lip, and you easily part to allow his tongue to explore.
His hands begin to wander up your back, under your shirt, and you feel your skin heat beneath his touch. You canât tell if heâs using his devil fruit or if itâs simply the chemistry between you, but either way you feel warm and safe. Youâd stay like this forever if you could.
Eventually youâre forced to part for air, panting, and he gives you a cheeky smile. âAre you warmer now?â
âHmmâŠâ You trace your fingers down his chest, trying not to grin too widely when he shivers. âI think Iâm still a bit chilly, actually.â
âWant some help with that?â Heâs smiling so wide the edges of his eyes are crinking with joy.
âIf you wouldnât mind.â
His lips meet yours once again, and you completely forget about the storm raging outside.

Steamy Springs in the Savanna
Hehehe guess who got the Sunset Savannah event in English and canât stop thinking of Leonaâs slutty ass waist??

âââââââââââ-
It was hours after the Bead Brawl. Leona called for another feast to be had to bring in their victoryâŠdespite how it had been achieved. Everyone was absolutely exhausted after everything leading up to and during the brawl and went to bed quite early. All except for the lion himself. He sat in the common area of the hotel after having been fussed out by Neji for the stunt he pulled and you hid behind the wall, listening in. After Neji had left the area and gave you a solemn nod, you stood thereâŠconflicted on whether or not to go back to your room or talk to the obviously irritated beastman. Before you get the chance to make the decision for yourselfâŠ
âI smell you, herbivore. Câmere.â
Startled but obedient, you walk over to the couch where the lion was sprawled out on. You stood at the armrest where his feet lay and he leans his head down to get a look at you
âIf ya canât sleep, Iâm goinâ to the springs again. Wanna be able to enjoy it without the rowdy children before we go back.â
You simply nod, thinking he was just informing you of where he would be and he rolls his eyes at your simple response
âThat was an invitation, herbie. Sâlong as youâre quiet, I wonât mind the company. Better make a quick decision before one of those idiots wake up or I retract the invitation.â
âO-ohâŠâ You quickly change into attire more suitable for the springs and hop in his truck. The ride was silent and you caught him occasionally looking over the area of the kingdom , a reminiscent look in his eye that you took note of but kept quiet about.
He leads you through a secret entrance to be used by royalty and their guests when the rest of Ivory Springs is closed for the night. You find yourself in awe of the glimmering fairy like lights that light the bath of the springs. By the time you finish silently admiring the area, Leona is already in the water, his head leaning back and eyes closedâŠâDid he fall asleep already?âyou begin to wonder before his eyes shoot open.
âYou cominâ in or what? Promise I wonât bite, little mouse~.â His usual bored expression is replaced with a sly smirk as he calls you by the nickname.
You cannot deny the feeling of blood rushing to your cheeks at the nickname and the knowledge that the very muscular and good looking beast man was in that spring with nothing on but a short pair of swim trunks. You turn around so your back is facing him to relieve the pressure of taking off your cover up off in front of him. But as soon as the coverup drops to the ground, you can feel his intense gaze looking your body up and down. You ignore it and get in the spring with himâŠwell across from him, not wanting to intrude on his space or give him a reason to regret him offering the opportunity to you. He rests his head on the ground behind him once again, staring at the night stars as he did the night before the tournament
âY-you did a good job out there. Didnât expect my name to be said at all butâŠif thatâs what people think of when they hear my name, I guess I donât mind.âYou slouch a bit in the water, not being sure if you shouldâve broke the silence
âHeh,sâthat so or were you just excited to hear your name leaving my lips with confidence?â he grins as he smells the shift in your hormones from the comment made. He stands from his spot in the water and walks towards you and you find yourself distracted by the water cascading down his chest and eventually his abs and back into the water again. Soon you feel his tail around your waist and your body flush against his
You feel his fingers dancing on your skin comfortably, occasionally using his nail to provide a little stimulation until his hands reach down to your ass, a cocky smirk appearing when he hears the slight moan and gasp that followed after.
âThought so, now, yâwant me to make you scream mine in exchange?â
âH-huh? What do you mea-â before you can say anything else to talk yourself out of what you oh so desperately desired, you are pulled into a sloppy kiss with him. His tongue skillfully traveling your mouth and in the heat of it, you find yourself wrapping your legs around his slutty but strong torso. Causing him to chuckle into the kiss and briefly pause
âThere ya go, so needy for me already. Canât say Iâm surprised with the way you were staring me down in my rightful throne.â He whispers into your ear before giving your lobe a suck and nibble and continuing down to your sensitive jaw, relishing in the sound of your moans blending beautifully with the sound of the waterfall. His trained hands easily rid you of your bottoms, savoring the smell and he aligns himself with your entrance and to say that the tip itself was overwhelming would be an understatement. He uses the heated water to his advantage and begins stretching you beautifully while continuing to mark up your neck and chest
âL-Leona~â
âThatâs a little too quiet for me, Let me fix that~â Before you can process what was said, you feel a stinging stretch that makes you feel full. A deep growl escapes his lips as the veins and spines of his dick acquaint itself with your warmth. He lets it sit there for a moment as you get adjusted before he begins moving into you, starting with slow and hard thrusts, which allow a string of curses to escape your lips, which isnât exactly what he was looking forâŠso he picks up the pace and also starts slamming you onto himself with his own hands.
The sound of his hips slapping against your ass fill the air with a slight echoing off the walls of the spring and the water continues to ripple in sync. His growls get deeper and louder as you begin clenching around him, your scent getting stronger as youâre about to release and the incoherent babbling of uncontrollable sounds as he ravages you only serve as more fuel.
âI know youâre close, I better hear my name loud and clear when you finish, if not, Iâm edging you till the sun comes up, got it little mouse~?â his tone was commanding, raspy and sexy. You nod at him, still barely able to form coherent words, an occasional âdaddyâ and âmy kingâ falling from your lips between moans until you finally unravel and your legs begin to shake around his waist.
âLEONAAAAAA~ fuck fuck fuuuuckâ
âWhat a slutty little pet you are, at least yâknow how to listen.â he pounds up into you after hearing his name be screamed with such pleasure rather than the usual fussing that follows afterwards. He lets out a roar of his own while he finishes inside of you, watching with pride as the liquids drip into the hot spring and dissipate.
After a few more rounds, Leona finds himself aiding a stumbling you back to the truck and you fall asleep on the way back to the hotel. Everyone is still asleep when you arrive and he makes sure to feed you before letting you rest in your room for the nightâŠwith one of his luxury blankets.

âââââââ âౚà§ËâĄË àŁȘ âââââââ
âHas anyone got any better ideas?â James asked, slumping against the wall of his dorm room with desperation plastered across his face. An hour into the school year and the Marauders were already failing in their attempts to woo Jamesâ crush.
âI donât know, Prongs. Weâve established that you canât just approach the poor thing and ask her to marry you, THAT would be a horrible attempt at a relationship. You also canât stalk her the entire year, thatâs illegal.â Peter pondered, looking concentrated in thought. âJames,â Remus broke his silence, âYouâre a smart boy under that flirty exterior. You get good grades and you know how to write. Why donât you just write down how you feel and pass it along?â
âRemusâŠyou genius.â James replied with complete sincerity, dashing to hug the boy who might have just saved his chances with you. âThatâs perfect! She wonât feel expected to respond, I can say all I need to say without tensing up around her, and I donât even have to expose myself if she doesnât like me back! It can be anonymous, yes!â James rambled as he searched his desk for a spare sheet of paper and a quill, ignoring the silent glances his friends gave to one another, teasing him mentally.
A sweet baby blue envelope was retrieved from his stack of correspondence material, lined on his desk as he began to write. âLooks like we donât need to tell you what to say then, Prongsie?â Sirius commented to the quiet room as all four of them attended to their own business. James hummed in reply, tongue sticking out from his lips in concentration as his eyebrows dipped together. âJust haveâŠto get thisâŠrightâŠâ he murmured, pouring his heart out onto the paper.
Not too subtle, but refined, like a gentleman. Not too pushy, but still explicit in his feelings. Anonymous, but hinting at who your new secret admirer could possibly be. A flourish of shifting paper filled the quiet air as James tucked his note into the envelope, finally scribbling your name on the surface.
Stood in front of your dorm room, James shifted his weight from his left foot to his right as he weighed his options. Your uncharacteristic chatter could be heard from behind the wood, though all he could make out were his friendsâ names and an unmistakably annoyed tone hung on your words.
âJamesâ you continued, and his heart began to swim laps around his chest. You sounded confused and frustrated as you rambled on, allowing James to take a beat as he collected himself.
Your voice softened, and he took this as his call to action. He slipped the note beneath the door and pursued the safety of his own dorm before he could get caught.
âââââââ âౚà§ËâĄË àŁȘ âââââââ
âEHEM! âTo the only creature I could ever admire,ââ Charlie began her dramatic reading of the mysterious note left under your dorm room door. âI have the greatest honour in being met with your stunning eyes, soft skin and quiet personality everyday when I pass you in the hall. The classes I share with you are moments in which my heart flutters at the sound of your gentle voice. The intelligence you hold and your refined sensibility could never be matched by a boy like me-â ooh itâs a boy!! Ehem, sorryâŠâbut this is my best effort at showing that I am worthy of your love. Iâve seen the beauty you hold behind those guarded walls and I would sell my soul to bathe in its light. Make me yours, and Iâll give you the moon, the sun, and the stars in the sky.â Oh! And itâs signed, âForever yoursâŠââ
You were stunned into an impression of a statue, barely showing the rise and fall of your chest. Hope smirked at the deep blush hovering over your cheeks while Charlie caught her breath from her award-winning performance. The room was still, a curiosity lingering in the air as all three of you began to silently ponder, who could this mysterious suitor be?
âWell, it says here that he thinks youâre out of his league- oh, damn! That doesnât narrow it downâŠâ Charlie joked to ease the tension and a fit of giggles erupted from the surface of your bed. âIf it were up to me, dear, Iâd start crossing names off of a list!â Hope laughed, though her smile fell as you and Charlie looked at her with faces of realisation.
âThatâs what weâll do.â You spoke for the first time since the note arrived, âWeâll write down every boy who could fit this description and narrow down the options!â You said with a glint of determination in your eye.
âSo youâre interested in this secret admirer?â Charlie smirked, though her face emitted a sense of hope. âIf he can speak so honestly about all of this,â you gestured to the note, âthen I believe his maturity might just be worth it.â
âââââââ âౚà§ËâĄË àŁȘ âââââââ
Four pairs of eyes locked on you as you entered the Great Hall for breakfast. James was visibly more flustered than the others, but the rest of them were equally as invested in your reaction to the note.
You and your friends sat down with quiet whispers and glances down the table. As your eyes passed over the group of trouble makers they immediately paid special interest to their plates of food. Sirius began to pick at his eggs, Peter at his fruit and Remus stole quick sips from his juice. James gulped around nothing as he stared at his reflection in his plate, willing the bright flare of red occupying his face to fade away.
Once the three of you had moved your focus to a small huddle around your breakfast, the selection of Gryffindor boys immediately returned to ogling. âCan any of you see what theyâre doing? Is that a quill in her hand?â Peter questioned. You shared quick giggles with your friends that disrupted the secrecy of your activity. The Marauders couldnât quite place what you were doing, but they knew it would have something to do with the letter.
âAn eye for mischief that one has, Prongs, what a cheeky couple youâd make- Ouch!â Sirius was interrupted by a sharp kick from his best friend under the table, though Jamesâ eyes never left your frame.
Suddenly, your group took on faces of empathy, severity and concern, glancing at each other from your hunched positions. You trained your gaze on the boys who were discussing you, once again causing them to occupy themselves with the activities of breakfast.
After a lingering stare, you shifted back to the safety of your team and resumed your actions with a resolved expression.
âWhat do you think that was all about- Ow Prongs, what the bloody hell did I do?â
âââââââ âౚà§ËâĄË àŁȘ âââââââ
You gently opened the doors to the Great Hall, quill and notebook tucked behind your back. Charlie and Hope accompanied you to seats by the Gryffindor table, glancing over the potential perpetrators of last nightâs events.
With a final look over your eligible bachelors, you sat down and began to work, sheltered by your friends. âI think this is pretty much the entire male cohort of GryffindorâŠâ you giggled breathlessly, pondering the dense list of names placed in front of you. Charlie and Hope joined in on your humour, scanning the list to double check your memory, then glancing around once more.
âOhâŠum, w-well,â Charlie started, âthere is one group we havenât quite considered yetâŠâ You and Hope turned towards the girl, who glared at you with an uncharacteristically subtle, mental comment. All three of you turned to face the Marauders, who were busy devouring their plates full of breakfast.
Your gaze lingered on each one. Sirius was no match for your intelligence and humility. You were certainly out of Peterâs league. Remus could convey that quiet poeticism that made you blush when the note was read out. James was always unpredictable. He did succeed in classes and he could potentially feel intimidated by your presence, or he could just be a dickhead. Either way, all four boys were, unfortunately, eligible suspects.
You returned to your coven of secrecy, hunched forms plotting over your notebook. You listed the boys below the pre-existing list of Gryffindor inhabitants that you shared classes with. âSirius, Peter, Remus, James.â
âââââââ âౚà§ËâĄË àŁȘ âââââââ
Potions class finally arrived as the sun threatened to set in the faded sky. James rushed to his seat, close enough to you to feel sickeningly sweet without making it too weird. He wasnât being too weird about all of this, right? No, the note was the right approach.
You drifted airily to your seat a few minutes later, resting on the chair as you retrieved your equipment. James felt his heart fight against his chest, pushing to be released from his lovesick body. A goofy smile captured his expression as he gazed at the back of your head in a daze, eventually interrupted by the beginning of class.
Potions came and went, with James struggling to keep his good grades with you just grazing the edges of his eye line. As the class began to fizzle away, and books found themselves tucked in bags or hugged towards chests, James decided this was his chance. Making his way to the front of the class, he smirked with confidence as he attempted to ask for his grade on the most recent assignment.
As he approached the teacherâs desk, he quickly dropped a folded note on your desk as you leaned into your bag on the opposite side. He promptly began his banter as you returned upright, watching as you curiously discovered the note in his peripheral vision.
ââŠPotter, youâll get the grade at the same time as the rest of your class. Have some consideration for my free-time the next time you think to ask.â The professorâs words draw his attention back to their discussion, excusing himself with âApologies, Professor! Have a good evening!â unusually happy for someone who just discovered they wouldnât know their grade for at least another week.
As he swiftly moved towards his own belongings, a little bit too cocky for his own good and high on the success of his plan, he met a classmateâs back with a thump.
âOh Merlin, Iâm sorry! I didnât mean toâŠâ He realised who he had run into, your sweet fingers pinching the note you had yet to open as you swivelled around to face him, curiously. âUm, I- Iâm sorry!â He rambled as he inched past you, scooping up his belongings and dashing out of the classroom.
Bollocks.

đđđđđđđ - đ°đđđĄđđ đżđđđđđđđ đĄ đđđđđđ
description: Reader takes in two puppies
The city was alive with the rhythm of the evening rush hour. Y/n, lost in a sea of suits and buildings, navigated the throngs of pedestrians with a sense of purpose. It was the kind of day where the cacophony of honking horns and distant sirens seemed like a distant hum against the focused rhythm of her thoughts. Yet, amidst the chaos, something small and unexpected caught her eye.
Two puppies, barely old enough to walk on their own, huddled together under a bench in a narrow alley. Their tiny bodies trembled from the cold, their fur matted and dirty. Y/nâs heart clenched at the sight. There were no signs of a mother or an owner, just two poor creatures in need of help. Without hesitation, she crouched down, her fingers brushing gently over their fragile forms.
âHey there, little ones,â she whispered softly, her voice soothing. The puppies looked up at her with wide, trusting eyes. She knew she couldnât just leave them there. With a determined nod, Y/n scooped them up, one in each arm, and made her way back to her apartment.
The journey was filled with cautious steps, careful not to jostle her tiny passengers too much. Once inside, she prepared a cozy corner in her living room, laying down a soft blanket and setting out some warm water and kibble she had on hand. The puppies seemed to recognize their temporary haven, and they curled up together, their bodies pressed against one another for warmth.
Hours later, Y/n had given the puppies a warm bath. She gently cleaned the grime from their fur, which revealed their true colors: a golden retriever mix with bright, curious eyes. The larger of the two had a slight limp, but otherwise, they appeared to be in good spirits despite their rough start.
Y/nâs heart ached with a mix of worry and affection. She knew that taking them in was not without its complications. The apartment wasnât particularly suited for two growing puppies, and there was Alexia to consider. Alexia, her partner of three years, had always been the more practical one between them. Y/n admired her for her discipline and sensibility, traits that often balanced Y/nâs spontaneous nature. However, she couldnât shake the feeling that Alexia might not be thrilled about their new houseguests.
As evening approached, Y/n busied herself with preparing a light dinner. Her mind kept drifting to the puppies, their little faces looking up at her with unwavering trust. She found herself lost in thoughts of how she could convince Alexia to let them stay.
The front door clicked open, and Y/nâs heart raced. Alexia walked in, her face flushed from a long football training session. She was clad in her teamâs gear, her ponytail bouncing with each step. Alexiaâs eyes scanned the room, taking in the scattered dog toys and the unmistakable scent of puppies.
âHey,â Alexia greeted, her voice warm despite her exhaustion. She dropped her gym bag by the door and looked around, noticing the freshly cleaned puppies curled up on their blanket. Her eyes widened in surprise.
âHi,â Y/n replied, trying to sound casual but failing to mask the underlying anxiety in her voice. âSo, I, um, found these two little guys earlier today.â
Alexia approached, her expression shifting from shock to curiosity. She knelt beside the puppies, her fingers gently stroking their soft fur. âTheyâre adorable,â she murmured, her tone softening. The puppies wagged their tails weakly, their eyes blinking up at her in sleepy recognition.
âI know,â Y/n said, joining her on the floor. âI was hoping we could keep them. I mean, if youâre okay with it. Theyâre just a little malnourished.â
Alexia looked up, her eyes meeting Y/nâs. There was a moment of silence, and Y/nâs heart pounded in her chest. The uncertainty of Alexiaâs response loomed large in the quiet room.
"I mean, it's okay if you don't want them here, I'll take them to the shelter tomorrow or find a friend that can take them in." Y/n said when Alexia looked up at her.
âIâm not going to lie,â Alexia said slowly, âI didnât expect this. But⊠they need us. And I can see how much you care about them. I wouldn't mind having some company with us.â
With those words, Y/n's eyes lit up and a big smile came onto her face. She all but threw herself onto her partner. "Thank you so much Ale." Y/n pressed kisses onto Alexia's cheek and forehead in gratitude as Alexia wrapped her arms around the girl.
Over the next few weeks, Y/n and Alexia settled into their new routine. The puppies, whom they had named Ollie and Remi, quickly became a beloved part of their lives. Ollie, with his playful antics and endless energy, was always on the move, while Remi, smaller and more reserved, preferred to cuddle up close.
They had now become a family of 4. Alexia & Y/n would take them out on walks in the evening after Alexia finished training and even have them eat dinner at the foot of the dining table when they ate. Y/n and Alexia adapted their schedules to accommodate the needs of their new furry family members.

A Basket Full of Fall
Word count: 1.2k
Pairing: Toto Wolff x wife!reader, ft. jack
Summary: Toto and Jack surprise Y/n with an extravagant boo basket filled with autumnal treats and heartfelt touches
______________________________________________________________
Y/n sat comfortably on the couch, a throw blanket draped over her legs as the soft light of the autumn sun filtered through the windows. Her tea was still warm in her hands, and she was scrolling absentmindedly through her phone, reminiscing about the boo baskets she had fallen in love with last year. It had become something of a joke between her and Totoâhow she had shown him TikTok after TikTok of couples exchanging adorable, cozy, fall-themed gift baskets.
She had teased Toto at the time, jokingly asking, "So, whereâs my boo basket, hmm?" He had just smirked, pulling her close, and promised that maybe one day sheâd get a surprise. But Y/n knew her husband wasnât the type to jump on trendy gift ideas, so she hadnât pushed it further. Little did she know, Toto had remembered every detail she mentioned.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Toto and Jack were busy at work, their task much bigger than the average boo basket. What started as a simple idea had spiraled into something much grander. The giant basket theyâd chosen was practically overflowing, and Jack was already planning what to tell Y/n once she saw it.
âPapa, what about these fluffy socks? Should we put them in the front?â Jack asked, holding up a pair of soft orange socks with little pumpkin faces embroidered on them.
Toto crouched down, examining the basket. âI think thatâs a good idea, Jack. Sheâll see them right away.â
Carefully, Jack placed the socks right on top, making sure they peeked out over the rest of the items. The basket was already brimming with a mix of cozy fall essentials and thoughtful gifts. There was a cinnamon-scented candle in a beautiful glass jar, a soft knitted blanket in a warm rust color, and a variety of pumpkin spice-flavored snacksâeverything from chocolates to cookies.
Toto had also picked up some more personal items for Y/n. He knew how much she loved curling up with a good book on chilly afternoons, so he added a new novel from one of her favorite authors. There was also a set of bath bombs scented with lavender and chamomile, perfect for the relaxing baths he knew she adored after long days.
âDo you think we have enough chocolate in here, Jack?â Toto asked, eyeing the assortment of treats.
Jack giggled. âThereâs never enough chocolate, Papa.â
Toto smiled and shook his head, placing another small box of chocolates into the basket. He then reached for the special pumpkin centerpiece they had boughtâan intricately carved ceramic pumpkin that glowed when you placed a small candle inside. It would be the perfect touch for their living room, adding to the cozy atmosphere Y/n loved so much during the fall.
Jack tugged at his fatherâs sleeve. âDonât forget the card, Papa!â
Toto smiled softly. âOf course, how could I forget?â
He pulled out a small, carefully folded card from his pocket, the cover decorated with autumn leaves and pumpkins. Inside, he had written a heartfelt note:
To my love, Y/n. Last year, you showed me all those TikToks, and I pretended not to understand why they were important. But I knew how much these little things make you happy. So this is for youâyour very own boo basket, from Jack and me, to the best mama and wife we could ever ask for. I love you.
Satisfied with the card, he slipped it into the basket, tucking it beside the candle.
"All done, Jack," Toto said, standing back to admire their handiwork. The basket looked massive, filled with all the warm, comforting items that made fall so special. He was sure Y/n would be surprisedâmaybe even speechless.
Jack was practically vibrating with excitement. "Can we show her now, Papa?"
Toto chuckled, ruffling his sonâs hair. "Yes, letâs surprise her."
Together, they carefully lifted the basket, with Toto handling most of the weight while Jack guided them through the house. As they approached the living room, Jack darted ahead, his excitement barely contained.
âMama! Close your eyes!â Jack called out, bounding toward Y/n, who looked up from her phone with a puzzled smile.
âWhat are you up to?â she asked, raising an eyebrow.
âJust close them!â Jack insisted, and Y/n couldnât help but laugh as she set her tea aside and covered her eyes with her hands.
âAlright, eyes closed!â she said, indulging him.
Toto followed quietly behind, the basket in his arms, his heart racing with anticipation. He knew Y/n would love it, but seeing her reaction was what he was most excited about.
He set the basket down in front of her and glanced at Jack. "Okay, Jack. Tell her she can open them."
Jack practically jumped. âMama, open your eyes!â
Y/n slowly uncovered her eyes, and the moment she saw what was in front of her, she froze. Her mouth fell open in shock. There, sitting before her, was the most extravagant, oversized boo basket she had ever seen. It was almost comically large, brimming with every fall-themed item she could have imaginedâand more. The beautiful autumn colors of the blankets and candles, the smell of cinnamon, and the sight of the chocolate treats filled her senses all at once.
"Toto⊠Jack⊠what is all this?" she asked, her voice soft, her hands going to her mouth in disbelief.
Jack, beaming with pride, clapped his hands. "Itâs a boo basket! For you!"
Toto stood behind Jack, his eyes soft with love and a small, proud smile on his lips. "You kept showing me those TikToks last year, and I figured it was time to make one for youâour way."
Y/n's heart swelled as she took in every detail. The thoughtful gifts, the little touches that she knew had Totoâs and Jackâs fingerprints all over them. She reached for the card and read Toto's note, her eyes misting as she smiled.
âYou twoâŠâ she whispered, overcome with emotion. âThis is⊠this is the sweetest thing anyoneâs ever done for me.â
Jack jumped into her arms. "Do you like it, Mama?"
âI love it,â Y/n said, pulling Jack into a tight hug before reaching out for Totoâs hand, pulling him close as well. She wrapped her arms around both of them, feeling a warmth that had nothing to do with the basket itself. It was the love and care behind itâthe way Toto remembered every little thing, the way Jack had helped with so much excitement.
Toto kissed her forehead softly, his hand resting on her back. "You deserve it, my love. Every bit of it."
Y/n, smiling through happy tears, looked back at the basket. âWell, I guess this officially makes you the king of boo baskets,â she teased, playfully nudging Toto.
He chuckled. âIâll take that title.â
As they settled back onto the couch, Y/n surrounded by her new autumn treasures, Jack crawled into her lap, holding one of the stuffed pumpkins.
âI canât believe you remembered all those TikToks,â she said, leaning against Toto as he wrapped his arm around her.
Toto smirked, his voice low and teasing. âHow could I forget? You showed me at least fifty of them.â
Y/n laughed, resting her head on his shoulder. âWell, it was worth it. This is perfect.â

Why does this scream second chance romance?
reqs are open!
at first sight
hayato suo; 6,284 words; fluff, slight angst, fem!reader, no "y/n", passing mentions of divorce, childhood friends to lovers, hurt/comfort (a little), the slowest of burns, suo is a simp, introspection, more plot than not
summary: and isnât it strange, that a person doesnât have to be dead to serve a haunting, how there only need be absence and sorrow and the utterly world-ending ache of what used to be?
a/n: this was not supposed to be this long or this self-indulgent but welp.
He sees you sometimes in his dreams, in the spaces right before he falls asleep â that sweet, weightless, liminal space where anything and everything is possible, even probable. He sees the shape of your laughter, feels the weight of your breath, can almost taste the sugarplum sweetness of your smile. Heâd lose himself, then, in the firefly lights of your eyes.
On those nights, he wakes up with a scream curdling up the back of his throat like soured milk.
Because no matter how hard he tries to hold onto the good memories, the ones bathed in the precious, pale gold of summer sun, truth always slips through like a sharp, silver knife. Cold. Ruthless. Unrelenting.
ââ so, I know we donât know each other very well but⊠youâve done so much for our shop and my grandma is so grateful and⊠it always makes me so happy to see you come by ââ
The girl in front of him is pretty, in the delicate, unassuming way that all young girls might be called pretty. She is dark, pin-straight hair and thin-rimmed glasses. Suo can tell that sheâs put on a sparkly sheen of lip-gloss just for this occasion. Her cheeks are tinted sunset pink; thereâs a letter in her hands.
âThank you,â he says, dipping his head, his hand linked behind his back, his expression schooled into one of polite affectation, the most gentle rejection. He listens to her run herself out, babbling on about visits and admiration and the shape of him outside the shop window, how her heart would skip a beat. He finds himself, wistfully, thinking about the shape of you â when you were small enough to wiggle under the fence in his backyard, dirt caked under your nails, your hair always chopped short, one of your front teeth missing as you tossed pebbles at his windows.
âIâm⊠sorry,â he says, finally, when the girl presses the letter into the center of his chest, bowing low enough for her long silky hair to cover her face. He slowly folds his fingers over the letter, giving her hand a squeeze as he presses it back towards her.
âB-butâŠâ she looks up; there are tears in her eyes, âwhyâŠ?â
âI suppose,â he says, voice light and conversational, almost as if he were remarking on the weather, âIâm just not the dating type.â
The girl mumbles something before sniffling and wiping at her eyes. She is, Suo admits, not a very pretty crier. But then again, he thinks, most people arenât. She nods again, as if to herself, clutching her unopened letter to her chest before dropping into another deep bow and dashing off. Suo can hear the clipped echoes of her sobs as she races down the near empty streets, and he sighs.
He turns on his heels and makes his slow way back to his own house, the place small and empty, but clean. The single wooden shelf is lined with books, alphabetized. His futon is folded neatly in his closet. He goes through the motions of making tea, pouring the boiling water over the dried leaves, watching them unfurl. He breathes in deep and thinks of you â
You were the one who first taught him how to brew tea, your small hands not yet big enough to hold a teapot proper, but whatever youâd lacked in skill, you made up for in determination. Heâd always admired that about you, the sheer recklessness of your nature that bled, somehow, into courage in his young mind.
âCareful! Itâs hotâŠâ heâd warned, reaching out to catch your wrist, but too late, the water had already spilled a little and you wince, but you donât let go, your arms quaking as you set the scalding teapot down, biting down on your lips to keep from crying out.
âI know itâs hot! But you gotta use hot water if you wanna make good tea!â
And there, through the misty haze of steam rising from the pair of cups, sitting across the table from you, Suo thinks youâre the most beautiful creature in the entire world.
He loses you, he reflects, the same way he loses most things in his life â accidentally and to the well-tempered beat of fate from which no one can escape. One minute you were right there in front of him and the next, wellâŠ
âMovingâŠ?â he says the word as if heâd never heard it before. You sigh, nodding, staring listlessly into empty space, your knees curled up and pressed into your chest, your chin propped on your crossed arms.
Suo blinks, âBut⊠where are you moving to?â
You shrug, âTokyo, I think,â you say the word with a soft resignation only found in those who have seen and lost, seen and lost again. Suo thinks he understands; looking back, heâs not sure he did just then.
âBecause of⊠your dadâs work?â
âYeah. He says that if his company does well there, weâd be âset for lifeâ â whatever that means,â you say, picking at a bit of invisible lint on your sleeves.
âBut⊠what about your mom? And the teashop?â
You purse your lips, mulling over your words as if youâve got a sour cherry pit caught beneath your tongue.
âShe says⊠she canât leave it. So⊠sheâs staying here.â
âOh,â Suo says, sitting back against his bedroom wall. Even back then, he was smart enough to understand the implications.
You nod.
Judging by the look on your face, so are you.
âSo⊠whenâŠâ he canât really make out the words; thereâs something stuck in his throat that feels oddly like an entire handful of sand.
âEnd of the month,â you say, finally looking up at him to catch his eyes. And there, he sees the insurmountable sadness, the longing heâd sometimes catch a glimpse of in the slanted summer light. As if youâre waiting for him to do something, to say something. He could never figure out what exactly it was youâd wanted him to do. To say.
Stay.
Heâd later realize.
Please.
Heâd repeat the words to himself in the encroaching dark, lying on his futon, watching the light cast on his walls go from white to gray to gold, and slowly, sinking into cool, hollow blackness.
Donât go.
He mouths the words until he can almost taste the shape of them on his tongue. He swallows around them like a fistful of sand, flips onto his side, and tries to go to sleep.
You appear before him like a daydream, a near mirage in the summer heat. One second, heâs laughing with Nirei at something Sakuraâs said, and the next, heâs standing stock still, staring at the end of the street where heâs sure heâd just seen you â
You look older now, but then so does he, and your hair is longer, but the shape of your laughter, the light of your eyes â he wouldnât miss those anywhere. Not then, not now, not ever. Even after all these years.
âSuo-sanâŠ?â Nirei peers up into his face, tugging on his sleeve.
âHm? Oh sorry â I just thought ââ he glances back at the end of the street. Just a large van and a few young workers, hauling things out from the back.
âOh, thereâs a new teahouse opening in town! That must be them, moving in!â Nirei says, cheerful and oblivious as always.
âWhatâs a teahouse do, anyway?â Sakura asks, picking at his ear and flicking something off the end of his pinky.
âUhm⊠make tea?â Nirei offers.
âYeah, but donât we all know how to make â where the hellâs he goinâ?â
Suo takes off down the street, whipping passed their usual haunts, the taiyaki shop, the okonomiyaki stand, Pothos cafe, to the corner of the street, just where the sidewalk threatens to curve into some more residential place â
âOi!â Sakura calls after him but he doesnât listen.
There â that sound. Sugarplum and silver bells.
The space is undone, the door propped open with a wooden crate, the young men with the moving company tutting as they grunt and step around Suo to carry more boxes into the space, setting them down along the walls.
ââ thereâs good, oh no â not that one â that one goes⊠oh hereâs good! Thanks!â
You.
He sees you like something from his wildest daydreams, the shape of you in smoke and stardust â the light twisting and twining around you as if it knows, treating you differently than it might all the other people and objects in the room, focusing around you to paint you in richer tones, in brighter lights and deeper shadows. The air seems to gather around you like a held breath.
And for a moment, Suo himself forgets quite completely that he himself might need to breathe as well.
You turn your eyes on him and the world seems to shift focus like a camera lens shifting zoom. Everything blurs, sound slows, drags, distorts. The room around you fades until itâs nothing more than a suggestion of shapes and space.
Suo sucks in a breath.
âSorry â weâre not quite open yâŠâ
Your voice trails off, and vaguely, Suo thinks that you sound different than you did before. But thereâs still the same lovely cadence to your words, the rounded edges, the crispness of your diction, the sheer weight of your conviction in the things you say and how you might will them into truth.
âItâs⊠been a while,â he says. His own voice is weak, wavering, dry and scratchy and sounding nothing like himself but he sees the moment you recognize him, wholly and completely.
âH-Hayato-kun!â
âOi, Suo â whoâre you ââ Sakura rams a shoulder into him at this exact moment, Nirei pattering close behind, trying to hold him back. Sakura blinks at you, his head flicking between you and Suo as if watching an invisible tennis match. And then, some understand seeps into the depths of his eyes and his cheeks go a ruddy shade of pink.
âUh â sorry, I didnât â who ââ he looks bewildered and awkward all at once.
âWeâre Suo-sanâs friends â from Boufuurin!â Nirei cuts in, finally succeeding in tugging Sakura to one side and peering around the rather narrow door frame. He bows slightly before jumping half a meter in the air as a mover clears his throat loudly behind the group of boys now clogging the door way.
You jerk out of your reverie and point the mover towards an empty corner before making your way over, your steps steady. It takes everything in Suoâs being not to move, to neither shift forward, to press into your personal space just to make sure youâre really real, or to turn tail and run till he doesnât have the breath to keep running any more.
He canât tell which heâd prefer more, but he knows that neither is the best option right now.
So, he forces himself to stand still, to wait for you to come to him.
And you do, drifting over in a cloud of light linen and a flower patterned apron.
âHi! Long time no see!â
Suo registers faintly that though your hair is longer, but your bangs are still choppy, and the ends of your hair badly cut, as if youâd gotten annoyed one day and tried to do it with kitchen scissors. He bites back a smile at the image. But there are other subtle changes too â the round babyfat on your cheeks slimming out to a sweet, heart-shaped face, the hugeness of your eyes, almost alien-like in your child years, now balanced out by the depths of your features. Your lips are small and plush as an overripe plum â that, at least, hasnât changed in the slightest.
âYeah⊠what⊠are you doing here?â he asks, still struck dumb by the sight of you here, in Makochi.
You raise an eyebrow and Suo almost feels the motion like a gut-punch, the familiarity of it overriding your older features until he canât really tell if heâs living in the present or if heâs been suddenly and unwillingly shunted into the past.
You scoff, âOpening a teahouse, duh!â
Nirei laughs and Sakura lets out a snicker that kicks Suo out of his stupor. He clears his throat, having the decency to at least look abashed.
âSorry, yes â that much is obvious. Is there⊠anything we can do to help?â he tries to ground himself in the established notions of aiding the citizens of Makochi. At least here, he knows what he has to do. His voice evens out, his smile returns.
You regard him with that same, questioning look before casting your eyes around the room.
âSure! Plenty to do if you guys have the time ââ and then you start pointing to the various tasks they might help with.
Nirei and Sakura jump to, already used to the pattern, with Suo trailing behind them, moving slower than usual, his limbs feeling heavy, as if theyâre full of lead. It takes them the better part of the afternoon to help you set up most of the bigger pieces of furniture. And somehow, by the time theyâre done, a good chunk of the freshman class is there, chattering and laughing, lounging at the newly built tables.
âAlright! Who wants some tea? Fresh and on the house â consider it payment for a job well-done!â you clap your hands, grinning as the boys all cheer.
Suo keeps quiet, sitting at a corner table with Sakura beside him, Nirei across. It isnât until Sakura digs his elbow rather painfully into Suoâs ribs that he turns his face towards them, hitching a smile to his face.
âHm?â
âWhatâs with you?â Sakura asks, never one to mince words. Across from them, Nirei nibbles on his lips as if debating on whether or not to add on to Sakuraâs line of questioning
âWhat do you mean?â Suo asks, folding his hands carefully on the table. Heâs not fooling anyone; he knows, but that doesnât mean he shouldnât at least try.
Finally, impulse wins out and Nirei blurts out â
âYouâve been staring at that girl all afternoon and â and Iâve never seen you look at anyone like that before. And youâre the one that gets the most confessions out of anyone in our year, so it figures that if this girl c-can capture your attention like this, she must be someone really special.â
He finishes slightly out of breath, before ducking behind his little notebook, even though heâs holding it upside-down.
Suo lets out a helpless laugh.
âI didnât know you were keeping track of how many confessions all of us got â that statistic seems irrelevant to our fighting abilities, no?â
âQuit tryna change the subject,â Sakura cuts in, loudly.
Suo sighs, nodding, âI was getting there. We ââ he cuts off, clearing his throat as he feels his entire body catch on the edge of the confession.
He takes a deep breath and starts again, this time, pressing a slight smile between his lips, taking on a tone as if telling a story about someone else.
âWe were neighbors growing up.â
Nirei blinks, âIs⊠that it?â
Suoâs smile goes a bit stiff and plastic, âMore or less.â
âLiar,â Sakura folds his arms, frowning as he stares Suo down. His cheeks are still pink, but thereâs a determined glint behind his eyes that never bodes well.
âAh⊠well,â Suo weighs his options, but then lilts his head and shrugs, âyou caught me â we were a bit more than just neighbors⊠more like childhood friends.â
Sakura narrows his eyes but doesnât push. Suo looks down at his hands, laced carefully on the wooden table before he speaks again.
âWe⊠spent a lot of time together and⊠her mother owned a teashop like this one.â
âOh! A family business!â Nirei says.
Suo opens his mouth to correct him but your voice cuts him off.
âYou still have them!â
A finger slips along the long tassels of his earring and Suo nearly jerks away, casting his eyes up to find you, a familiar teapot in your now steady hands, your eyes somehow bright and dark at the same time as you look down at him.
âOh⊠yes, I ââ again, he feels his throat catch, âof course I did. You were the one who made them for me.â
You let out a light laugh, setting a few teacups down at their table and prepping their tea.
âYou didnât have to â Iâm surprised they held up after all these years. You know I bought the red beads at the craft store right?â
âYeah, you⊠you used your New Years money. I rememberâŠâ
âAnd you helped me pick out the tassels from the lady who sells lucky knots at the market!â you say all this as if it werenât one of his most precious memories, as if he hadnât gone to great lengths to make sure the earrings you gave him (one of the only things youâd ever given them, other than perhaps a broken heart) never came to any harm.
Across from him, he can see Nirei putting the pieces together. Next to him, Sakura seems stunned still by the same revelation.
âIf Iâd know youâd like them so much, I wouldâve made you a few more pairs. At least that way, you can try to match them with your clothes,â you grin, leaning down to seep their tea. Suo watches as the hot water washes over the dried leaves, rehydrating them till they each unfurl into their own shape. A deep, floral fragrance fills the air and he feels his stomach both twist and settle in the same motion.
âJasmine green,â he says.
âMhm. Your favorite. Itâs a little basic but I love it too.â You shoot him a surreptitious wink. Then, you pause, âAh â but it might not be your favorite anymore, I guess ââ
âIt still is,â Suo says before you can second guess yourself.
The smile that re-alights your face is nearly blinding in itâs brilliance.
âAnyway, Iâll leave the water here for you guys, yeah?â you set the teapot down next to Suoâs elbow, flash them all one more smile before twirling around and going to serve the next table.
It isnât until much after dark that everyone leaves and Suo, having made up some vague excuse to linger, finally has you to himself. You hum as you flit from table to table, wiping them down and pushing in the chairs. Suo watches you for a solid minute before moving to help.
âThanks,â you say, as he helps you push in the last chair and you wipe a forearm across your forehead with a long breath, âphew! Ma really made it look easy back in the day, but this is hard work! And weâre not even officially opened yet!â
âWeâll come by to help whenever we can,â Suo says, the response automatic.
You nod, folding the tablecloth neatly into a square and setting it on the counter.
The silence thickens around you, swirling and charged. Suo grasps for something to say, anything to say. He wishes youâd do something â turn on a light, hum another song, say something strange and outlandish, punch him, perhaps.
You do none of those things. Instead, you wipe your hands on your apron and turn to look at him, your eyes huge in the darkness.
âIâve missed you.â
It nearly knocks him from his feet. The quiet force of your words, the raw-edged honesty behind them. The way your voice doesnât waver. The way you say them not like an accusation but an admittance. He thinks he really wouldâve preferred if you punched him instead.
âYeah,â he says, feeling breathless, heat cresting up his chest, and suddenly, heâs thankful for the darkness within the not-yet-opened teashop.
âIâve missed you too.â
He feels hollowed out by the confession, as if just speaking the words had carved him clean, so clean that the words echo through him, reverberating through his bones till he feels it down to his marrow. He hadnât known that missing a person could feel like this, or that the word could mean so much until heâd said it out loud.
Missing. The lack thereof. A nothing where there used to be something.
It is a wrongness in the matrix, a hole, an abnormality.
Itâs as if heâd been sleeping on the mattress from the Princess and the Pea ever since the day youâd left, a subtle incorrectness that permeated every single moment of every day, so obvious in itâs presence that it had folded back into itself and become something.
That the lack of you was a presence in and of itself, a living ghost that had loomed over him, slinked behind his shadow, hovered over his shoulder until â
He reaches out to touch you, fingers skimming against the skin of your cheek.
You lean into his touch, the motion slight but he catches it almost immediately, and the force of it is the catalyst that propels him forward. He tugs you into his chest and holds you there, burying his face in your hair.
âI â Iâve missed youâŠâ he says again, and you nod, fingers crumpling in his school uniform as you press your forehead into his chest.
âY-youâre so much taller than before â itâs not fair,â you say, your voice muffled by his shirt. He laughs, ruffling your hair for a second before his fingers so soft and heâs running them through from root to end.
âIf I had a sister, Iâd tell her to keep her hair long, so I could braid it,â heâd once told you when the two of you were barely in elementary school. Youâd tugged at the ends of your chopped short hair and frowned.
âUgh â I could never grow my hair out long. Itâll just get in the way!â
âItâs longer,â he says now, tugging at the ends even as he takes half a step away, releasing you from his embrace. You glance down at the uneven bits, crinkling your nose in distaste.
âI â I tried to grow it out but⊠I kept getting annoyed.â
âYeah, I thought so but⊠Iâve always liked your hair short.â
âYou have?â
âYeah ââ
Iâve always loved everything about you.
He swallows, âShort hair⊠just fits you.â
You stare up at him for a second longer before nodding, your eyes flickering away.
âYeah. Guess it does, huh.â
Something clunks in Suoâs chest.
You turn away and he has to physically beat down the panic rising in his chest.
âW-where do you live now? Iâll walk you back. Itâs not safe to walk around alone in the dark,â the words tumble from him like a bag of spilled marbles, scattering across the hardwood floors.
You turn back to regard him with a curious look.
âI â I live above the teahouse. SoâŠâ you shoot him a lopsided grin, a finger pointed up towards the ceiling of the teahouse.
âOh. Right.â Suo blinks, watching you watching him before he notices the flight of stairs behind the open door in the back of the room.
âYou wanna walk me to the stairs?â you ask, grin slanting sideways till its positively devilish and Suo feels a shiver kiss itâs way up his spine.
âI mean, itâs dangerous to walk alone in the dark, right?â you tease, before turning and slinking towards the back room door. Suo hesitates for a second before he sighs, shaking his head and following behind you.
He pauses at the foot of the stairs just as you pause on the step right above him. You twist around to face him, and the sudden closeness catches his breath in his lungs. Like this, he can feel the heat of your skin, can smell the shampoo in your hair â the same one youâd used when the pair of you were still kids, apple blossom and aloe.
You cock your head, your faces now on a level, your eyes searching his.
Itâs so dark, but even in this lack of light, he can make out every single feature of your face.
âI think I can make it up the stairs by myself,â you say, your voice barely more than a whisper, conspiratorial and low.
Suo lets out a small laugh, nodding, âGood. It wouldnât be right for a gentleman to leave a lady feeling unsafe at this time of night.â
Your head slowly cocks the other way; heâd almost forgotten that habit of yours, like a sparrow listening for the rustle of leaves or the first breath of autumn wind.
âSince whenâve you been a gentleman?â you ask, still in that soft, whisper-voice, the kind of voice that compels the listener to lean closer, to tip forward until theyâre falling into something they donât even have the name for â
âAnd⊠more importantly, since when have I ever been a lady?â
He kisses you then. Or perhaps, you kiss him first. It doesnât matter â or perhaps it does, or it will. But not now, not in the soft, nebulous darkness that surrounds you, not when your fingers are curling into his hair and his palms are settling at your waist.
And there are no fireworks, but there is light â electricity coursing through his body and yours, neurons firing and firing and firing. A cataclysm of yes and more and finally.
The first time you break apart, Suo is breathless; the second time, he feels punch drunk; by the third, heâs determined that this must be what itâs like to be thoroughly inebriated. His head is spinning, his face is hot, he has to remind himself of where his hands might be â oh, there â one in your hair and the other pressing you to him so hard heâs certain itâll leave a mark.
The thought pleases him more than it should. Or perhaps it pleases him just as much as it should and always will.
âH-HayatoâŠ"
âMm â stay â pleaseâŠâ his voice is nearly broken as he drops his had into your shoulder; he takes a shaky breath, âdonât go.â
You let yourself be held, the pair of you propped awkwardly on the first few steps of the stairs, your fingers threading through his hair.
âIâm not going anywhere⊠this is my house now.â
Suo nods, vaguely aware that there are questions he wants to ask you â howâs your mother? Whereâs your father? How are you here, alone, opening this teashop by yourself? Living here, by yourself?
But he will get to those later, tomorrow maybe. Right now, he forces his head up and regards you with hazy, blown-out eyes and kiss-slick lips.
âIf I sleep on the floor, can I ââ
You laugh, running a thumb along his cheek.
âWeâve shared a bed before and nothingâs happened. You donât have to sleep on the floor â bedâs big enough for the both of us.â
Suo presses his lips for a second before shaking his head.
âItâs not that. I just⊠donât think I could trust myself.â
Thereâs a hoarse, ragged edge to his voice that has you chewing on the inside of your cheek. He glances up the stairs and offers you a weak smile. You consider him for a second more before nodding.
âYeah, câmon. Iâll show you where the futons are.â
Upstairs, your bedroom is silver and alien with moonlight. It seems too bright, too sharp. But you step into it and suddenly, everything is alright again. You both wash up in silence, and you dig up an ancient band t-shirt from somewhere in your closet. He wonders how long youâd been here already â how many days and night heâd spent mere minutes from you.
He lays down in the futon after you slip beneath your sheets. He watches the shape of you as you shift this way and that.
Finally, you say, âNight, Hayato.â
âSweet dreams,â he says.
And he falls asleep counting the sound of your breaths against the rhythm of his own, thundering heartbeats.
âY-you what?!â
Sakuraâs face is tomato red and Nirei looks just about ready to go into anaphylactic shock. Across the classroom, Kiryuu, whoâs obviously been listening in, catches Suoâs eye and gives him a cheeky thumbs up.
Suo smiles, cheery and unabashed.
âI slept over.â
âB-b-but â you â I â she just ââ Nirei seems to be fighting against some invisible force inside himself even as Sakura continues to gape.
Suo chuckles, nodding.
âYeah, she moved here last week â itâs a total coincidence that we met up again. She had no idea that I was even here.â
He thinks back to the quiet moments of the morning, of waking up to find you sitting up in bed, staring out the window, your hair mussed and a little frizzy. He remembers the way the morning light had dappled the soft of your skin, how youâd smiled and asked him how he slept.
âWell. Better than Iâve slept inâŠâ he clears his throat, suddenly self conscious of the gravel there. And here, in the unforgiving light of day, the night before seems miraculous and distant. Had he really held you in the dark like that? Kissed you till youâd said his name like something of a prayer?
Had he really held your hand all the way up the stairs?
You catch his eyes and smile, and like this, looking up at you as the rising sun halos itself around your shape, Suo wonders if he still might be dreaming. Because surely, surely â heaven couldnât have been so close as this.
âSo, what do you want for breakfast?â you ask, swinging your legs out of bed, your pale feet pattering against the fresh tatami floors. Suo is momentarily stunned by the sight of your bare legs, the large shirt you wore to bed now somehow terribly short and insufficient as it brushes by the middle of your thighs.
He swallows and forces himself to look away, to shake his head and focus on the words youâd said.
âWhatever you want to make,â he says, by way of an answer.
You hum as you cook, putting a bowl of rice in the microwave and putting on a pot of water to boil. The kitchen here is smaller than the one up front, in the main body of the teahouse, but it feels more homely, every surface effused with a sort of lived-in quality â clean, but rounded at the edges as if worn down by the love of days and weeks and months.
âHow longâŠâ he tries his voice again, only to find it wanting. He lets his words trail off and hopes that you understand.
âHm? How long have I been here? Just a week. It was weird â my mom had bought this place a while back, and started the renovations, but Iâd never had time to visit.â
âAnd whereâŠâ again, his voice trails off, his palms pressing flat to the thin counter, his eyes tracking the shape of you as you flitter through the small kitchen like a bird or maybe just a trick of the light.
âSheâs not here,â you say, your movements slowing as you take the boiling water from the stovetop and pour it over some rough tealeaves, letting them seep for a few minutes before straining them out and tossing them into the trash.
âSheâs⊠in Tokyo, finalizing the divorce with Pa.â
âOh.â
His mind makes several inferences at once, even as he watches you soak the rice in the steaming hot tea and split the ochazuke into two bowls.
âI thought theyâd⊠already done that,â he admit, nodding his thanks as you hand him a bowl and offer him a container of store-bought furikake. He takes it and shakes some over his bowl before handing it back.
âYeah. Most people did.â You donât offer up anything more and the both of you eat in silence. He polishes off the entire bowl and feels the heat settle in his stomach like a gap being filled.
âSo⊠will she come after⊠everything is settled?â he choses his words carefully, peering up at you over the empty dishes. You slurp noisily at your own breakfast before licking your lips.
âYeah, but who knows how long thatâll take? Might be weeks, might be â years, or somethingâŠâ you drag the back of a hand across your lips and reaches over to pluck the empty bowl from his hands, dropping everything into the sink to soak.
âCâmon, donât you have school or something to get ready for?â
âSo⊠sheâs here to stay?â Nirei asks, his eyes a bit overbright as Suo relays a version of the story, skirting tactfully around the more tender parts.
âYeah, as far as I know. I promised weâd come by after school today to help her set up some more â you donât mind, do you?â
âNope! Not at all!â Nirei beams, but Sakuraâs eyes are narrowed. Suo turns his gaze on Sakura and tilts his head with a questioning smile.
Sakuraâs cheeks redden, âItâs just â ah, whatever â never mind!â
And no amount of prodding or teasing could tantalize him into saying more.
Time passes by strangely after that â at times slugging by slow as molasses, at others jumping forward in great leaps and bounds. Suo spends nearly every waking moment when heâs not at school or on patrols with you, sometimes simply sitting in the corner of the teahouse, flipping through a book, watching as you served your growing roster of regular customers, at times helping you catalogue new shipments of tea and organizing them by type, brew time, and temperature.
Sometimes, when the light catches you in just the right way, Suo finds himself arrested by the sight, and itâs times like these when heâd tug you forward, a finger under your chin, his lips gentle on yours till he can taste the tang of your smile.
âI heard youâre quite the ladyâs man,â you say, casually one day, brewing a test batch of a new varietal of white tea.
âOh? And where might you have heard such a thing?â Suo grins, pillowing his chin on the heel of his hand, watching you as he always does.
âJust the bakerâs granddaughter â she goes the prep school I do, you know the one in the next neighborhood over?â
âAh⊠that.â
Your grin goes lopsided as you carefully blow on the top of your teacup and take a dainty sip.
âYou got your hair cut,â he says, smiling as he rakes his eye over the cut of your bob, tickling just beneath your earlobe. You go slightly cross-eyed as you tug a strand down over your forehead before blowing it away again.
âYeah. Figured it was about time I got a proper haircut.â
âI liked it the way it was before.â
âYou did?â
âSure I did. Iâve always loved everything about you.â
Between you, a single column of steam rises in a slow, lazy spiral from the surface of your half-drunk cup. And like this, Suo thinks youâre still the most beautiful creature heâs ever, ever seen.
Your blush is quick and brilliant. Your eyes cut away; you push your hair behind your ears.
âDonât changed the subject â so whatâs this she said about you not really being one for dating, hm?â
Suo shrugs, âIâm not.â
You quirk an eyebrow.
âThenâŠâ you blink at him, cheeks flushing darker and darker, âwhat do you call this?â
Suo fixes you with a steady look, and now, his voice doesnât waver when he speaks to you, because he knows that heâd never let the certainty of you slip away from him again. This time, he knows the words to say â knows without the shadow of a doubt his truth, and yours, too.
âI donât know what Iâd call it but⊠I know that Iâve never really believed in dating.â
You lick your lips, setting the cup down with a soft clack.
âThen what do you believe in?â
Suo doesnât miss a beat.
âI suppose⊠Iâve always just believed in soulmates.â
Your mouth falls open ever so slightly. Suo smiles as he reaches forward to tug the strand of hair free from behind your ear just to run his thumb over the smooth, silken ends.
âAnd, Iâve always, always believed in love at first sight.â

Hi! Could I request an Anakin X reader where Anakin sees that reader hasnât been sleeping and he tries to help?
anakin x gn!reader
wc: 0.8k
cw: none! fluff, spooning
comment: sorry this took a while to finish! hopefully it's kinda what you had in mind!
Rolling over, your eyes focus on the moonlight streaming through the window. You havenât been sleeping well, or at all for the past week. You were so tired but your body refused to let you sleep. Your nights all seemed to drag on forever and no matter how hard you focused or how long you shut your eyes, nothing was happening.Â
You shove the covers off of yourself, lying here was useless and you had already been trying for hours. Checking the clock, you find it's only 2am. The rest of the jedi would be tucked up and well asleep by now. Placing your feet on the hard ground, you stand up, grabbing your Jedi cloak and wrapping it around yourself. You slowly pad over to the door, slipping on your boots and unlocking it. You head down the silent halls in search of a balcony door. Seeing that all are shut you find a large window with a bench against it.Â
You nestle yourself against one of the pillars the window sits between, wrapping your cloak around your knees. You watch the skyline of Coruscant as the hundreds of speeders and other transports pass by. The lights of the skyscrapers illuminate the sky, night never feels dark on the city planet.Â
You are so focused on the view out the window, that you donât sense the presence of another appearing behind you. You also jump out of your skin as the person speaks your name in a hushed voice. âWhen was the last time you slept?âÂ
You turn around to be met with the face of Anakin Skywalker. Like you he was wearing what you assumed were the clothes he slept in. His soft sweatpants sit perfectly on his hips and his shirt clings to his muscular form in all the right places. He looks at you softly, waiting for you to reply.
âI was asleep beforeâ you lie through your teeth. Truth be told, you admired Anakin a lot. Although he was the CEO of thinking before he acted, you had grown close to the chosen one.
âDonât lie, it's not the Jedi wayâ he teases, causing you to glare at him. âI heard you open and close your door, and I'm pretty sure I also heard it yesterday, and the day before, and the day bef-â He counts on his fingers before looking at you accusingly. You think before answering honestly.
âI just havenât been sleeping well the past week, that's allâ you respond, trying to sound like it doesnât bother you much. Anakin raises an eyebrow at you, âhave you been sleeping at all?â His blue eyes burn into your own.
The shadows cast from the walls bathe him half in darkness, half in the light from the city outside. His features suddenly seem a lot sharper than they look in the daylight, and the dark robe he wears doesnât help. You shrug at his question. âSo that's a yes then?â His rhetorical question makes you look back outside at the speeders traveling past.Â
âCome onâ he says before he grabs your hand, making you turn around before he pulls you to your feet. âAnakin, where are we going?â you question as he drags you down the hall. He pushes open a door, leading you to discover that he has brought you to his room. Looking around, you notice that it is very him. His clothes hung half-hazardly over a chair, and a pile of books in the middle of the floor. A blueprint and selection of tools accompany the books.
He shrugs off his own cloak, before pulling yours off your shoulders and hanging it up beside your. âAnakin what-â you are cut off by him leading you to his bed and gently pushing you down onto the soft covers. âIâm trying to help youâ He replies as if you have any clue what that means. He lifts the covers for you, ushering you under them. You comply still confused. He moves around to the other side of the bed, climbing in himself.
Before you can fathom what he is talking about you feel his arms pull you towards his chest, rolling you over so your back is to him. If you werenât shocked at the movement you might have realised that he was so, so warm and his arms wrapped around you felt right.Â
âWhy?â is all you question him. He speaks softly and you can feel his breath against your neck, âto helpâ he repeats his previous statement. âNow shut your eyes.â You donât know why you follow his instructions, but you seal your eyes closed, feeling the rhythmic movement of his chest against your back.Â
Slowly but surely, you feel yourself getting tired and your mind begins to slip into unconsciousness. You could feel Anakin also begin to fall asleep behind you, his head tucked against your neck. Eventually you fall into a deep slumber, your first in too long, against the unexplainable cure for your insomnia - Anakin Skywalker
sorry for any grammar errors!

Shy Boy(M)
Pairing: collegestudentJihoon x college studentreader
Warnings: SMUT! Cursing, oral, blowjob, spanking(light), hickies, spitting, penetration MINORS DO NOT INTERACT AT ALL
A/N: smut with no plot, itâs why I wanted to write this, also the reader is a bit of a bimbo since I love a bimboxshyboy dynamic đ«¶
Y/n was used to being the center of attention. She could walk into a room and immediately her good looks and bubbly personality made people like her. She could make friends easily in class and around campus. While also having guys gawk at her and even chase her down to get her number.
She couldnât deny that she liked the attention, there was however, one that would actively try to avoid her, Lee Jihoon. Jihoon and her met back in freshman year of college, having only a class together but the shy man avoided talking to her after their first meeting.
She was stunning and he could never seem to get the words out to properly talk to her, any time he did, he would stumble and embarrass himself, something y/n actually found to be cute. From then on, he would avoid interacting with her, only ever admiring her from afar to avoid another embarrassing moment, but luck was not going to be on his side.
âGuys! Come look!â Mingyu signaled all the guys to look outside the window. All of them gathered to see that the neighboring apartment complex was having a pool party, with many sporting revealing bathing suits. Jihoon rolled his eyes as he thought something more interesting would be going on, heading back to his room to study.
âLooks like y/n is sporting a very tiny and tight bikini!â Chan said out loud, knowing whoâs attention he was trying to get. âWhat?â Jihoon ran back to the window where the guys laughed at how fast he ran back.
Although the view wasnât all that great, he could see y/n laying down on one of the lounge chairs, wearing a very bright pink bikini and a beach skirt. Her skin was beautifully tanned, her skin glistening as the sun hit her skin, his eyes wandered from her pretty face to her beautiful full figure.
Jihoons mind soon began to wander off about y/n. He had always admired how she styled herself, using mini skirts or tight denim pants that hugged her hips and thick legs. Her tops would consist of tight shirts that really showed off her upper body, specifically her boobs, which even Jihoon couldnât help but to look from time to time. He would often smacking himself mentally every time to get rid of any impure thoughts he had
âSheâs coming!â Chan yelled out, snapping Jihoon out of his thoughts as the others ran away from the window. âWhoâs coming?â Jihoon asked but none of them replied as there was a knock at the door and Chan couldnât help but to push Jihoon to answer it.
Confused, Jihoon opened the door but was quickly frozen in shock to see y/n right in front of him. âJihoon! Hi!â She gave him a warm smile and instantly hugged him. âAh, yeah hiâ it took him a second to realize he needed to hug her back. âW-what are you? How are- whatâs up?â He was a mess. He couldnât form a sentence to talk to her. The others getting second hand embarrassment just looking at the scene play out. This earned a small laugh from y/n. âIâm good, listen, the girls and I are having a pool party, weâd love it if you and your friends would join?â she bit her lip, hoping he would accept.
âMe? I mean us?â He stumbled with his words again and y/n laughed, giving him a playful hit on the shoulder, âYes silly, weâll see you in a bit?â She confirmed with him with her big doe eyes that melted Jihoon's heart.
âWe would love to go, weâll see you in a bitâ Mingyu appeared next to Jihoon and confirmed with her. She was so happy again that she hugged Jihoon and made her way back.
âReal smooth Jihoonâ Seungcheol laughed and the others looked at Jihoon with looks of embarrassment. âShut up, i donât know why I freeze up this much when she talks to meâ he knew why.
âI mean sheâs hot,I get it, but damn watching you talk to her is like looking at a deer in headlightsâ Chan pointed out and the others agreed.
âHappens to the best of us, anyways guys we got invited to the pool party so letâs go!â Mingyu patted Jihoon back and signaled the guys to get ready to head over. âYouâre coming too,â he said as he dragged Jihoon.
âWait what?â
âShe invited you and everyone else personally, you donât wanna disappoint her now do you?â He asked and Jihoon shook his head but he was already dreading it as this meant that he was most likely going to embarrass himself again.
The boys headed over to the pool party, with all of them sporting their sculpted upper bodies and swim trunks, meanwhile Jihoon in particular chose to wear an oversized t-shirt with his swim trunks. The party was small, with the girls at the apartment complex all gathered around the pool, or swimming alongside other guys they invited.
âIâm so glad you could make it!â Jihoon looked to find y/n behind him, fuck,he didnât expect to talk to her this soon. âT-thanks for inviting usâ he chuckled and nodded.
âCan I offer you something to drink?â She asked
âOh I um- donât drink, um do you have soda?â He asked, worried she would think he was lame for not drinking, this was college after all. âSure, why donât you sit here, Iâll be right backâ she pointed at her lounge chair that sported a pink beach towel.
âTalking to y/n? Howâs that going?â Mingyu passed by Jihoon.
âI-I donât know what to say to herâ
âLook, just keep it casual, donât think too hardâ he patted his back and left as soon as he saw y/n come back with sodas in her hand.
âHere you goâ she handed him the cold can and sat next to him, almost too close. He thanked her and just looked out at the pool trying to figure out what to do or say.
âSo, howâs your classes going?â She asked hoping it would make this less awkward. âOh good, Iâm- itâs going wellâ he managed to reply back. âWhat about you?â He took a gulp of his soda. âFine, I am kinda struggling in my literature class though.â She had leaned closer to him, the distance closing between their bodies. âI heard from your friends that you passed literature last year with flying colors, would it be too much to ask you to tutor me?â She pushed herself forward to him, her boobs poking his shoulder, making him choke on his soda.
Y/n quickly pat his back to make sure he was okay. âIâm f-fineâ he assured her and took a deep breath. âI can help you, I mean tutor youâ he accepted. âOh thank you, thank you, thank you!â She hugged him tightly making him blush.
âY/nâ she looked over to see a guy had come up to talk to her but she rolled her eyes as he came closer. âWhat do you want?â Her response was so cold, Jihoon had never seen this from her. âOoof whatâs with the look babe? I tried calling you the other day but you changed your number or something?â The guy asked her.
â I told you I didnât want to go out with youâ
âCome on baby-â
âI told you to leave me alone, Iâm not going out with you and donât call me babyâ she was stern with him.
âI think you are being unreasonable here y/n, come onâshe struggled as the guy took her arm to pull her away,
âHey!â Jihoon stood up and pushed the guy away. â She didnât want to be bothered, I suggest you leave her aloneâ he took y/n behind him as he warned the guy. âWho the fuck are you? Hm?â He pushed Jihoon, making the other people around the party pause and look at the altercation unfolding.
âHeâs my friend!â Y/n yelled at him.
âA friend? Yeah right, are you just trying to fuck her too?, everyone knows sheâs a slut-â the guy was cut off as Jihoon immediately threw a punch at him, a fight between them ensued. âJihoon!â Y/n yelled as she was worried he would get hurt. Jihoon managed to punch the guy in the face again, causing him to fall back and pull Jihoon in with him by his shirt. âOh my god someone help him!â Y/n yelled and Jihoons friends dove right in to break up the fight, with Mingyu taking Jihoon out the pool and Seungcheol pulling the other guy out and basically throwing him out the party. Y/n quickly went to Jihoon to see if he was badly beaten.
âOh my god Jihoon, ur bleedingâ she pointed out as she saw the cut on his cheek. Jihoon was a bit embarrassed that she had seen the whole fight âIâm fine, itâs okayâ he tried to calm her worries. âNo, come on inside to clean that upâ she pulled him and brought him back to her apartment. âIâm fine reallyâ he kept trying to tell her but she insisted on helping him out and getting her first aid kit. âOh I should bring you a towel and a clean shirtâ she ran to her room to look for the items but only came back with a towel. âSorry, I only have a towel, all my shirts arenât exactly going to fit youâ she sheepishly laughs making him chuckle. âBut if you want you can take your shirt off, and Iâll wash it and dry it quicklyâ she offered and quickly he turned red. âI um-um I donât think-â he found himself stuttering and y/n smiled, âitâll be quick, hereâ she pulled the shirt off of him and was pleasantly surprised by how built he was, making her blush.
She quickly ran off to throw his shirt in the wash for him and quickly came back to Jihoon who was sitting on a chair and waiting for her. âLetâs see that cutâ she took the first aid kit and sat in front of him as she moved his wet black wavy hair away from his face and cleaned the cut with alcohol. the sting caused him to flinch âsorry...thank you by the wayâ she continued. âIt was nice of you to defend meâ she added. âHe was being a jerk to you , I couldnât allow thayâ he tried not to look at her directly.
âWell there aren't a lot of guys out there that would do what you did, so it means a lot to meâ she smiled at him as she put a bandaid on his cheek. Jihoon looked at her, he couldnât help but smile back at her. She was beautiful and sweet, of course he wasnât going to let some jerk disrespect her. No matter the reputation others gave her, Jihoon didnât believe them nor did he care for them. Y/n was sweet and caring since the first day he met her and his feelings never changed.
âYou know I was always worried you didnât like meâ she laughed, Jihoons eyes widened at her comment.
âI figured since youâve been avoiding me since freshman yearâŠ.â
âNo! Oh my god no! I just- you see-â again he stumbled on his words and sighed in defeat. âYou are great and I really like you, I justâŠI am a mess when it comes to you, I canât ever seem to find the right wordsâ he admitted. Y/n smiled and leaned in closer to him, âI donât think words are all that necessaryâ she leaned in to kiss him.
Jihoon could die a happy man, the girl he had a crush on kissed him. He was in shock by her action but gave into the kiss too. Y/n wrapped her arms around his neck as she pulled him in closer as she made out with him, making Jihoon wrap his arms around her exposed waist as he was the first to deepen the kiss and slide his tongue and taste her, earning some sweet moans from her. It didnât take long for the make out session to heat up as she pulled back and pulled Jihoon out of the chair and onto the couch, pushing him down as she kneeled down in front of him and started pulling his shorts down. Holy shit, is this really happening, his mind raced as he let her discard his shorts to the ground, and pulled the briefs slowly to reveal his hardening dick.
âGod,even your dick is prettyâ she licked her lips as she saw how perfect it was. It was girthy with some weight on it with a nice hard vein on the side that made her instantly go in and lick it slowly from the shaft to the tip, making Jihoon shudder in pleasure. âOh my godâ he let out as she took the tip of his dick and swirled her tongue around it at first then taking the tip in her mouth and slowly sucked in it, looking up at him with a look of pure bliss. Jihoon was trying hard not to cum right then and there, he would die of embarrassment if he did.
Y/n spat at the tip, rubbing her spit up and down the shaft as she giggled at him âfeels good?â she is just teasing now he thought but still nodded at her question. âGoodâ she took her free hand and undid her bikini top, letting it fall off her body, showing off her big supple boobs. âFuckâ he could barely let out the word as he saw her, making her smile mischievously. âI barely did anything and I already got you so riled up hunâ she took her boobs and placed Jihoons wet cock in between them, using her hands to squeeze her boobs together more as she rubbed them up and down on him. He groaned in pleasure as he closed his eyes, feeling the waves of pleasure, His dick spilled with precum with every passing second she was rubbing on him.
Y/n loved the look of pleasure that Jihoon had, she was proud she made him feel so good. She wanted to completely ravage this man, and wanted him all for herself. Seeing how he was leaking for her, she leaned down while still rubbing her boobs against his dick, she used her mouth to take in the tip, sucking him off as she continued. âY/N~â Jihoon was struggling to keep himself together for her but he was slowly losing. She moaned, sending vibrations, making Jihoon break.
He pushed her head down further onto his dick, making her hold onto his thighs as she took him deeper into her mouth, practically making her gag on his length. Jihoon motioned his hips faster into her mouth, feeling a familiar sensation creeping up. With a final thrust into her mouth, Jihoon let out another deep groan as he came into her mouth, y/n pulled back as she took his cum in her mouth and gasped for air. After a moment of his release, Jihoon realized what he did. âIâm so sorryâ he quickly apologized but y/n just giggled and licked her lips, âitâs okay, you are so tastyâ.
Jihoon laughed alongside her, coming off the couch and joining her on the floor, which was adorned with a pink fluffy rug. Meeting her lips again, he stated the mix of her smeared gloss and his cum on her, and he wanted to pleasure her just as much as she did for him .
Taking a pillow from the couch and setting it for her to lay her head, he kissed her lips once more before moving kisses down her body leaving a trail down her neck and onto her chest and giving them his full attention. Flicking one of her nipples with his tongue and pinching the other with his hand, making her mewel in pleasure for him. âSo fucking beautifulâ he said to her as he licked her nipple again with his tongue before taking it into his mouth and swirling his tongue around it.
Y/n felt herself getting wet, the bottom half of her bikini was now soaked, she wanted more of him, more of his touch. Almost as if he could read her mind, Jihoon slipped his free hand down her bikini and felt her slick folds making her arch her back for him as she let out another whimper. âYouâre so wet and Iâve barely started,â Jihoon teased her back, making her laugh. He only rubbed her wet folds with his fingers slowly, wanting to tease her and make her beg for him while he continued to suck on her tits and leave his marks on her, wanting her to be his. âJihoon please~â she whined as she moved her hips against his finger wanting more friction. He could watch her beg like this with her hazy eyes that had no thoughts behind them, just pleasure.
Trailing his kisses further her body, as he made his way down her legs, he pulled his soaked hand away and licked his fingers in front of her, making her bite her lip at the sight. Fuck heâs so hot, she always thought he was cute but she also felt sexually attracted to him, with his shy demeanor and intellect, she just naturally found him attractive, but in this moment she couldnât help but to see how hot he really was. The shy guy she knew who always wore glasses that took up a good portion of his face was nowhere in sight right now. His eyes werenât shy, they were filled with pure desire for her, his hair wet and messy from the pool incident and his body was rock solid. âFuck!â She yelled out as she came back from her thoughts, feeling Jihoon lick the slit of her folds before spreading them and spitting right on her clit, before going in and fully sucking on it. Her hands immediately went to his head as tugged on the wet locks as he ate her out.
As Jihoon licked every inch of her wet cunt, tasting every bit of her spilling essence , not wasting a drop of it, he felt himself getting hard again but he didnât want to touch himself until he had fully pleasured her. He pulled her by her thighs and made her cross her legs around him, he could care less if he suffocated. Feeling his tongue literally going in and out of her and exploring the rest of her wet core, she felt the sensation she wanted coming closer and closer. âB-baby~â her breath was shaky as she felt him hum against her clit sending shocks of pleasure âfuck yes!â She yelled out as he gripped his hair tightly and rode his face as she let her orgasm flush over her body. âS-so goodâ she let out as she came down from her high and looked at the man come up, smothered in her juices.
She didnât think it was possible but the sight of him soaked in her, out of breath and hair a mess from pleasuring her, turned her on again. Getting up, she took his hand and guided him back to the couch letting him sit back again and straddled him, having both her arms on either side of him, leaning her body toward him as she let her soaked cunt glide on his hard cock, both of them filling the small apartment with their moans. Jihoon loved the way she grinded on him, seeing her face full of pleasure, wrapping his arms around her thick waist and leaned to capture one of her breasts in his mouth and sucked on it, alternating to the other every chance he got as she continued to grind against him.
âJihoon~fuck meâ she begged him, feeling like she needed more. Jihoon nodded and sat up, lining himself up to her pussy but in his haze realized,
âcondoms, I can go get one at-â
âN-no baby, I want it now. Do me raw, Iâm clean and Iâm on the pillâ she assured him, whining at him.
With her consent he nodded and stoked his dick, sliding it up towards her. She gasped at how thick he was and was already filling her before it was fully in. Jihoon was able to push himself inside full, giving her a moment to adjust to him, which didnât take too long as she began to whine for him to move. âFuck you feel so goodâ he said as he began to move his hips to a steady pace, watching her hickie covered boobs bounced for him and her eyes fixed on him.
âSoo fucking goodâ he pushed herself down hard when he pushed up to feel him go deeper into her. âFuck fuck fuck! Fuck me!â She couldnât help herself, she wanted this man to fuck her silly. Jihoon grabbed onto her waist and took full control, snapping his hips fast and hard, the sound of her ass meeting his hips filling the room alongside her loud moans. âYes yes yes! Right thereâ she held onto his shoulders, nails digging into his skin. âFuck right thereâ Jihoon was able to push her down enough where she felt his dick hit just the right spot. Y/n clenched around him making him feel closer to his edge. âKeep clenching like that and Iâll end up cummingâ he spanked her ass which drove her wild. âCum in me baby, fill me upâ she was practically demanding him at this point. âCum with meâ he sped up his pace feeling himself getting closer but wanted her to reach her high again. âJihoon!â She let out as she felt him pound deeper into her than before, bringing her to her climax. âFuckâ she let out as she felt her body be filled with Jihoons cum as he came only moments after her.
Both of them caught their breaths as they felt their climaxes die down, Jihoon tried to move to remove himself but y/n stopped him. âStay with me like thisâ she asked him, leaning in to kiss him again, this time Jihoon cupped her face gently as they made out softly.
âI like a man of few wordsâ she smiled at him, making him chuckle.

đ with the sweetest boy himself, the bu boy, macklin
i loved writing this, i love him, & yes, he is the sweetest boy ugh
and i haven't seen a single mack fic on here like đ why we sleeping on mack?? anyways, this is fluffy to the maxxxx
Stepping into his dorm, you took off your beanie as he worked to unzip the zipper of your large puffer. You grinned, placing a soft kiss on his lips as he smiled in return.
You loved days like this: grabbing coffee from the cafe downtown, shaking off snow and laughing at how ridiculous the two of you looked, comparing yourselves to dogs after a bath, and coming back to his dorm as he removed your articles of clothing without you ever asking because that was just the boy he was. He was your perfect boy.
You moved to sit atop his bed, opening his laptop, and scrolling through Netflix to find a movie to watch before you had to head back to your own dorm and brave the cold sheets of snow outside. He shrugged off his winter coat as you eyed his new shirt that you hadnât seen him put on this morning before leaving to grab coffee.
âMack?â you asked as he laid in the spot next to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and pulling you into the comfortable curve of his body.
He hummed in response, paying more attention to the movie on the screen rather than the curious yet amused tone in your voice.Â
âWhen did you get that shirt?â you laughed as he looked down at his top as if he had forgotten he even put it on in the first place. The shirt in question? A white tee with the words âI love my girlfriend,â except the âloveâ was replaced with a big red heart. And the back? A picture of you two on the ice during family skate at BU, smiling brightly at the cameraman (thank you, Lane Hutson).
âOh,â he huffed out a laugh, a tinge of pink settling on his cheeks. âCase got it for me for Christmas.â
âAnd Iâm just now hearing about this?â You rolled onto your stomach, your chin resting on his chest.
Even after a year of dating, you still made Macklin nervous. You kept him on his toes, never knowing how you'd react or if he scared you away or if he would lose you by doing one thing over another. He was very subconscious in that way. If he lost you, he wouldnât know what heâd do. You were his whole entire life, and while many say itâs unhealthy to rely on a person that much, Macklin didnât care. He was head over heels for the girl sitting beside him, and maybe thatâs why he wore the shirt, to show people that you were his, that he was very much in love, and that he was very much taken.
âI-â he nervously stammered.
You laughed, shaking your head. âIâm messing with you, Celly.â You shrugged. âI think itâs hot.â
He rolled his eyes. âThere is no way you think this is hot.â
Moving closer, you watched as his eyes wavered down to your lips and quickly back to your gaze. A small smirk danced on your lips as you mirrored his movements, glancing back and forth between his eyes and his lips. âI donât know. Telling everyone you love me with a picture of us on your back? It kinda makes me feel special, you know?â
âAny other ways I can make you feel special?â he smirked.
You gasped, smacking him in the shoulder as he let out an amused chuckle. âYou are so gross, Mack!â
âI didnât even say anything!â he replied, drawing you closer to his body until you were resting on top of him.
âYou implied it.â
âMhm,â he chuckled. He gazed at you intently, admiring his girl as you looked away, feeling exposed. His hand lightly held your chin, moving your head to look back at him. âYouâre the prettiest girl ever.â he whispered, holding your waist as your hands steadied yourself on his chest. He ran his thumb up and down the exposed skin on your hip.
âI hate you,â you said softly, trying to hide the light shade of blush that was increasingly spreading across your cheeks.
âEmbrace it, baby,â he remarked, dragging one of his hands up your back and leaning your body down to his chest, your arms falling to either side of his head as he closed the small distance between the two of you, brushing his lips against yours before fully capturing them in a tender kiss.
Your bodies pressed together as if you were trying to melt into each other, lost in the intoxicating sensation of being so close, so connected. Your breaths were mingled, hot and ragged as you somehow pulled him closer, kissing him with so much desperation you were unsure where this fervent fire came from.
Maybe it really was the shirt.
Your lips parted reluctantly, and with a soft, breathless laugh, you traced the contours of his skin, marveling at the way his features felt as if they were made for you and only you to enjoy. They were made for you to kiss and to admire, to love. With a soft sigh, you leaned down, resting your head on his chest as his arms encircled your small frame, holding you close as if he never wanted to let go.Â
âI should wear this shirt more often, huh?â
âOh, shut up.â

Truths
Joel miller x younger f!reader
Summary I You babysitting Sarah is the norm. When you do so tonight it's so Joel can finally let his hair down and go drinking with Tommy- he's waited eleven months for it after all. You're already expecting a very drunk Joel to return home, and you're exactly right, but what you don't expect is the drunken confession that comes with it... Chapter warnings/content I age gap. Drunk Joel Miller, Joel being good at feelings for once because alcohol helps. Drunken confessions of love. Joel complimenting reader. So much flufffffffff gahhh! No outbreak, no use of y/n. A/N I Another of many cute drabbles that my brain decided to conjure up. I really hope you enjoy Joel being a sappy, in touch with his feelings guy when drunk.
Main materlist
Youâve baby sat for Joel since precious Sarah came into this world. As much as you know Joel would love to be a stay-at-home dad he canât afford to be and so after taking two weeks off he looked for help and there you were. Youâve lived opposite Joel for years, heâs ten years your senior and has always helped your mom with the odd jobs that have needed doing round the house. This is your way to give back. More than happy to help him.
When he asked you last week if you minded watching her so he could have a couple beers with Tommy of course you said yes, who would you be to deny the man of that. Youâve been telling him for months that he deserves a night off. Heâs the most selfless person on the planet he deserves to let his hair down and have a few hours off from parenting. His job is demanding and as much as Sarah is the best-behaved baby sheâs still hard work.
He's waited a whole eleven months to go out, finally feeling ready enough to leave her on an evening and go let himself get jolly with his brother. You told him to get as drunk as he wanted, that youâd stay in the spare room, so Sarah had someone close at hand that was able if needed in the night. He was so appreciative of that.
With Joel and Sarah everything is so easy, you love helping out, getting to watch Sarah grow into the little girl she is becoming. Watching Joel be the best dad to her.
Itâs around twelve that Joel makes it back, you had just stared to turn everything off and lock everything ready to go to bed when you hear the taxi outside.
âIâm backkkâ he sings as he enters the house dropping his keys when he goes to lock the door from the inside.
You meet him at the door as he struggles to pick them up. âHere Iâll get them, go sit downâ you laugh stroking a hand along his arm as he smiles up at you.
âOkay, thanks for always being so wonderful to me nâmy fâmly.â
You canât help but laugh at the way he slurs his words.
With the door locked and porch light now off you walk back to the lounge and find him slumped on the loveseat.
âGood night?â you question to his drunk sleepy frame.
âSuch a good night, darlinâ thank you. I honestly canât thank you enough for allowinâ me tâgo. Howâs my angel doinâ she get to sleep okay?â
âOut like a light, she had a bath then I read her a book and sheâs had some warm milk. She fell asleep on my chest and didnât even wake when I picked her up to put her to bed. Plus she hasnât woke up since, Iâve been in to check on her twice sheâs absolutely dead to the world, talking in her sleep and all, wonder where she gets that fromâ you jest.
He rolls his eyes with a scoff âone time, that was one fuckinâ time you heard me say some shit in my sleep when I was nappinâ and I ainât never lived it down.â
âNo, and you wonât ever, I mean your daughter canât even talk properly yet and sheâs fucking trying to string sentences together when sheâs fast asleep, I say thereâs no hope⊠sheâs gonna be just like her daddy. Just like she is in every other damn way.â
âWell fuckinâ good luck tâher, why would anyone wana take after me.â
âExcuse me Joel Miller but we will have none of this negative talk thank you very much, I happen to think youâre amazing! And I canât help but admire the way you are with Sarah. Honestly, I hope she does grow up to be just like you that will be so much fun!â
âYouâre so beautiful, got such a way with words and know exactly how to make people feel better. Youâre one in a million. Me and Sarah are more than just lucky to have you around. Thank youâ he then bends to take off his boots.
You feel more than lucky to have them around too. Youâre your happiest when youâre in their company. Spending time with them. Going on outings with them. If Tommy and Joel wana take Sarah out somewhere they always ask you to tag along especially now Tommy brings Maria. Maybe people think that Joel and you are in a relationship, that Sarah is yours. She definitely looks like she could be with her blonde hair and blue eyes that match your own. âWell Iâm lucky to have you two too.â You reply with a big smile.
He chuckles as he struggles with his laces, and you watch the way his calloused fingers canât get a grip on the knots, so you move to take them off for him as he looks up at you âyou two too, thatâs a tongue twister, you two too, you two tooâ
âYouâre so stupid sometimes Joel Millerâ you chuckle as you untie the laces.
âMânotâ he pouts.
âYou are, but I wouldnât change youâ you giggle having now taken off his boots and are moving them to their rightful place.
He laughs again as you make your way back to come and sit next to him. âahhh, I like you darlinââ he sings letting his head fall back.
âWell I like you too, guess you ainât too bad are yahâ you giggle.
âNo I-â he sighs sitting back up to look at you âI mean I really really like you; I want you to be mine.â
Did he really just say that?
âWh- sorry what?â
âI want you tâbe mine, foreverâ
âJoel youâre drunkâ you chuckle.
âYes, but I want you, I always want you every damn minute of every day. I canât fuckinâ fault you baby youâre absolutely amazinâ at everythinâ you do, treat my daughter like sheâs your own. Man I wana fuckinâ worship the ground you walk on for the rest of my life; I just canât get over how amazinâ you are. And Iâve fallen in love with you.â
Fuck. Is this really happening?
âJoelâ you stutter, âI donât, I really donât know what to say. I just, this is a lotâ you move away from him slightly so youâre able to look him in the eye.
âI know you donât believe me but sâtrue.â He mumbles as he leans toward you.
âJoel what are you doin?â
âCan I kiss you?â
âWhat?â
Youâre surprised more so than anything that heâs actually asking permission. Heâs pissed but still being a gentleman. Thatâs more than youâve ever experienced before, but thatâs how Joel has always been. Going above and beyond for the girls who mean so much to him in life. He respects women the way they should be respected.
âI wana kiss you so bad.â
âI donât know if thatâs a good idea Joel.â
âPlease lemme kiss you, vâwanted to for so long. Just been too much of a pussy tâever ask you.â
He leans forward more losing his balance, so you place your hands to his chest to push him back up âWoah, okay big guy listen, Iâll stay over tonight as planned just in case you or Sarah need me, but nothingâs happening, Iâll let it happen if you still feel the same way in the morning, okay? Now go to bed you need to start sleeping this off.â
As much as you want to believe what heâs saying you donât know how much is the whiskey talking and the last thing you want is to embarrass yourself OR him.
He pouts but nods before standing from his seat and walking to the stairs staggering as he treks up. âIâve already put you a glass of water on your bed side table, drink it pleaseâ you add.
He turns back to smile at you as you move to place his shoes by the front door. âSuch a good girlâ he utters as he staggers his way up.
It sends tingles through your whole body. âSuch a good girlâ replays in your mind over and over as you find yourself eventually in bed falling asleep too.
â
When he wakes up, he wakes to the smell of coffee and that hasnât happened in a long ass time. Plus heâs got a banging headache, but his heart is also going one hundred miles an hour.
Thatâs when it dawns on him- shit he told you the truth. He had a lot to drink, enough to make a fool of himself but not enough to forget and yeah, he did mean exactly what he said to you, and he will tell you that. He sits up in bed familiarising himself with his surroundings, the room still spinning slightly, he looks to his bedside table and finds the glass of water he downed last night refilled and some painkillers there waiting for him.
He smiles knowing that means youâve snook your way into his room during the night to ensure heâs looked after. He quickly takes the tablets and downs the whole glass completely parched from last nightâs shenanigans. His body shakes slightly but not from the effects of the alcohol, heâs nervous to face you.
After eventually dressing himself, he walks down the stairs watching you sat at the table feeding Sarah her porridge. Neither of them have noticed him and so he stands and watches for a minute before interrupting the bonding moment.
âIs that yummy?â
She shrieks in reply "yah!"
âMmm yeah it looks sooo yummy, youâre such a pretty girl huh you want some more?â
âMo!â
âYeah, some more good girl youâre so smart!â You praise as you place another spoonful into her mouth. Sheâs always been quick at everything sheâs already walking and sheâs saying some words. Sheâs the smartest little girl and youâre so proud of her.
âShe gets that from me.â He adds startling you. You jump in your seat.
âJesus, you made me jumpâ you chuckle.
Sarah giggles at the sight of you jumping.
âDada!â She calls.
âHey babygirl, is that nice?â
She nods smacking her porridge covered chops together.
âHow you feeling?â You quiz observing the way he squints at the light.
After pouring himself a coffee he comes to seat himself in the chair next to you. âLike absolute utter s. h. i. tâ
âI bet, you were pretty out of it, said some crazy stuff last night.â
âI did?â
âYou donât remember?â
Of course he does but he likes this game âenlighten me.â
âOh no, I wouldnât want to embarrass you, you said some things, there was this one point where I actually kinda started to believe you, but I knew it was all the drink talking. I wonât embarrass you by bringing it back up.â
âDarlin.â It comes out almost like a stern warning, shutting up your rambling instantly.
âYeah?â You reply softly.
âI know exactly what I said last night.â
âOh, you do?â You drop Sarahâs spoon into the bowl as you stare at him.
âYes, I do, and I meant everythinâ that I said. Absolutely every word.â
âSeriously?â
âMâdeadly serious, I wouldnât joke about somethinâ as important as this.â
You smile, âwell thatâs really good to knowâ and then you turn back to his daughter giving her another mouthful when she squeaks in annoyance of having to wait.
He sits on the seat next to you and admires your connection with his daughter. The way she reacts to you and just how natural you are with her. Your motherly instincts kick in instantly with Sarah and sheâs not even blood. Heâs been mesmerised by the way you handle Sarah since sheâs been born, even back when Sarahâs mom was still around.
âOh messy girl!â You coo when she puts her hand into her bowl and splashes it around.
âI got a planâ he grumbles as he places a hand to the small of your back sending goosebumps up and down your body.
âWhatâs that?â You quiz not taking your eyes off Sarah as you give her another mouthful.
âYou and me Friday night, mâgonna take you out. Iâll get Tommy tâwatch Sarah.â
You gasp at the feeling of him rubbing your back with so much care and in the fact that heâs going out of his way to take you out.
âWeâll go to that Italian you love. What do yâthink?â
You turn to look at him with a smile. âIâd love that so much. Thank you, Joel.â
âMy pleasure girl, just wana treat you the way you deserve and prove to you I want this and will always be in it one hundred percent as long as thatâs what you want too.â
âItâs what I want.â You reply without hesitation, and he chuckles.
âGood.â He leans in placing a kiss at your temple and you close your eyes to savour the feeling of his lips on your skin for a few seconds before he pulls back away. When he does you both stare at Sarah who is looking back at you both with the biggest grin on her face. Showing off her few teeth.
You could get used to this being your life day in day out. Youâve already wished it were for months. And it seems it might actually happen now Joel has been truthful, youâve hoped this would happen for a long time, have loved Joel for much longer than you care to admit, but it seems heâs felt the same and like you had just been too afraid to say something.
Bring on Friday night.

Flowers pt 1
Pairing: HowlxFemalePresenting!reader
Featuring: Howl Pendragon
Genre: Fluff, Established Relationship, Proposal, Mentions of Marriage
Summary: It's Y/N's Birthday so Howl and Markl surprise her!!
Reader's Pronouns: She/Her
Warnings: One suggestive part but it's not SUPER suggestive but very subtle.
I sat in the warm, cozy living room and idly read one of my favorite books, Pride and Prejudice. It had been my birthday today and I had been eagerly waiting for Markl to get home. He had been out with his new friends from Porthaven, so I had been left to myself in the castle. I had been feeling a bit lonely lately, and this book made me feel a little better.
With Markl and Howl constantly going out, I have to do things to keep myself busy. Like trying out new recipes, reading the latest books, or maybe even walking around the town and talking to the people.
But sooner or later, the words consumed me on the pages. I looked up from the comforting book and saw that it was getting late, and I hadn't eaten yet. I then got up and started to make some dinner, feeling a little guilty about taking my eyes off the book for even a second. I started to feel isolated and alone again, but cooking dinner gave me something to focus on other than my thoughts.Â
Not long after, I heard the door open. I turned the stove off and looked behind me to see that it was my lover Howl with a bouquet of roses in his hands. "I'm home," he yelled and went into the kitchen.
"Happy birthday, my love," he said, holding out the beautiful roses. âThe roses were a light pink with a hint of blue. They were the perfect birthday gift.Â
I gratefully took the bouquet and admired them. "They're absolutely beautiful," I said, "but you didn't have to get me flowers."Â
"I know," he replied, "but I couldn't resist."
These are truly beautiful Howl," I said, kissing him on the cheek. I put the flowers in a vase and continued to cook dinner. Soon, he came and helped me cook.
After a filling dinner with Howl, I started to clean up the cooking mess that we had made.Â
Howl then got up from the table behind me, then hugged me from behind. I felt his arms snake around my waist, and I could smell the sweet scent of his breath on my neck. "I have something to show you," he said.
Howl turned me around so that I was facing him, then smiled and took my hand. He took me to the front door, then he switched the house door into our favorite placeâthe garden with a little cottage in the middle.
He opened the door slowly, and the sweet smell of flowers hit me. I looked to the outside and gasped. âRose petals were headed towards two elegantly-dressed chairs, with another red rose in the center of the table. It felt surreal and dreamlike, like I was seeing this place for the first time. It was beautiful and magical, like nothing I had ever seen before.Â
The moonlight shone perfectly through the gaps in the clouds, illuminating the tablecloth with a soft, white light. The fields of daisies and sunflowers surrounding it were bathed in the orange hues of the setting sun. Having Howl by my side all felt like a dream come true. But every day with him felt like a dream come true.
He took my hand once more, then walked us to the table. We stopped in front of a chair and he let go of my hand, then he pulled out the chair for me. âThank you Howl." I said as I sat down.
As he sat down in the other chair, Markl and his other friends came from behind the hill with a beautiful cake, which they then presented to me. âHow did you guys know it was my birthday?â I exclaimed, surprised, and touched. âTheir thoughtfulness and generosity touched me.   Â
âHappy birthday, Y/N!â Markl said as he lit the candles. They began to sing a heartwarming birthday song to me, and I savored the moment by blowing out the candles with a smile on my face. The cake was delicious, the roses were amazing, and the company was warm and welcoming. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday.Â
âY/N, what did you wish for?â Markl exclaimed, drawing out the name. He seemed genuinely excited to hear the answer, with a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eye.Â
"If I say it out loud, then it won't come true." I smiled.
Howl then cleared his throat and stood up. I looked towards him and he started to take something out of his back pocket.
I gasped once more as a hand went over my chest as he then got down on one knee. The atmosphere was instantly transformed into something magical and peaceful.Â
It was a delicate platinum ring with a heart-shaped diamond mounted in the center of the band. My eyes teared up with happiness as I saw the ring for the first time. I couldn't contain my feelings and started to cry.
"Since you were there for me through all of my ups and downs, I have always loved you. I can't imagine going a day without you by my side. Will you marry me?" He professed.
I got up from my chair and held him as tight as I could, never wanting this incredible, magical moment to end. âI was in awe of how lucky I was to have him in my life, and how much I loved him. âOf course Iâll marry you Howl!â
I could tell that he was extremely excited and nervous about this, and I was too. He hugged me back tightly, then he pulled away and put the ring onto my finger. It was the most sentimental and emotional moment of my life, and I'm happy that I could share it with the one person who had been there for me every step of the way.Â
