I was trawling around Chinese wholesale sites when what should I come across but the factory that gave the Celestial Ponies their signature stripes! (Dongguan Qiaotou Huihong Plastic Electronics Factory.)

Alas, I was unable to get any prototypes. The listing was not for the ponies themselves but for the process that makes them stripey, which I think is called water transfer printing. In other words, you provide them with objects (like ponies in this case) and they apply a water transfer. The video is from the listing.

Crimped Rainbow Hair! People are wondering if they are completely new ponies (the white one on the right is definitely new) or if some are old ponies with new hair (some of the ponies look like Moonstone and Firefly!) What do you think?

The London Toy Fair 2025 has revealed new upcoming Basic Fun ponies! There is a new Stranger Things pony and what appears to be four 80s themed ponies, one being Moonstone in Gusty's pose. I speculate that the other ones are Firefly, Starshine, and Skydancer (with both Starshine and Skydancer being in Heart Throb's pose). They have crimped hair and appear to come with a scrunchy and legwarmers. :)
