do you think market sellers in medieval europe were huddled around on breaks listening to one guy say every day that the latest song the bard played for everyone last week was all about feudalism, really, when you get down to it, and then everyone else was like "you aren't exactly wrong, bartholomew, like I see what you're saying, but I feel like that's a little simplistic? we all live under feudalism so of course the art we make will implicitly have something to say about it, but there are more things in the world than just feudalism" and then bartholomew would ignore them and start talking about how he wishes he were a pre-feudal shepherd because life was simpler then and the world hadn't been screwed up by feudal states yet

Post BG3 story Miriam stays in the city after being banished from the underdark. Astarion remains by her side as they transition back to life before the tadpole.

Miriam forms a small mercenary group, though the word mercenary might not be the best description. A ragtag group of misfits doing small jobs around the city and the sword coast. Astarion follows along wherever Miriam goes, he remains right at her side.

Played around in character creation to make her little group of misfits.

Essence | She/Her | Tiefling | Ranger

Personality wise she reminds me a lot of Ty Lee from ALAB. She is cheerful, always positive, and a little bit of a dork, but that doesn't diminish her skills as a ranger.

Sam aka Sammy | He/Him | Hafling | Rogue/Artificer

Uncle of the group. He is a skilled bomb maker / metalworker / rogue. He can get into anything whether it's by lock pick or blowing a hole in the side of a wall. Common Miriam line "Piss me off and i'll have to send in the hafling, and you don't want to deal with the hafling."

Striker | She/Her | Dragonborn | Monk

Specializing in hand to hand combat, Striker will get shit done. Not necessarily into murder, more about subduing her target for interrogation, flexibility and speed is her prime. She is a sweety, mother of the group. I imager her like that one shop keeper in worm's crossing that's overly peppy because i love her.

Sapphrina (Rina) | She/Her | Drow | Sorcerer

Also banished from the underdark, Sapphrina found her home in baldur's gate. She is a sorcerer, yet her magic is not fully attuned, which sometimes leave the room ablaze, or shrouded with fog. She is working on it. Very smart, has a lot of trivia knowledge, probably a bit autistic.

Bartholomew | He/Him | Human | Bard

Oh your traditional bard, playing music and singing his song to the masses, except with a bit of a darker side. Secretly a trained assassin, he uses his wit and charm to get into royal parties and sneak away when no one is looking, only to find his target where they least expect it.

anyway that's the Miriam crew,, they are very gay and silly and i love them to pieces. i hope to write more about them and astarion and create my own little universe

Running Age of Ashes on PF2e. I've run a few one shots for our group before but this is my first foray into something long term as a DM. Here our highlights from book 1 so far.

Lucy, PC, the dumb catfolk sorcerer. Runs into danger headfirst and doesn't care who is behind her.

Tarren, PC, beastkin Fighter who is afraid of being the front liner.

NAB, PC, the android gunslinger who doubles as the ride for his companion.

Vixey, PC, the sprite investigator, who usually rides in NAB's backpack with her corgi mount (bc she's afraid the corgi will die.)

Hendrix, PC, the halfling bard who plays the kazoo.

They saved the Bumblebrasher goblins bc Lucy loves Warbal. Found Alak. Nicknamed him the Useless One (bc all the rolls for him were garbage). Cleared the first level of the basement of the citadel. Argued on whether or not they should dig out the stairs that collapsed.

Arm wrestled a half orc in a tavern to get the bar owner to talk to them. Made the half orc cry after soundly kicking his ass.

The half orc's name is Bartholomew who is a forge worker bc that's what his mom wants, but really he dreams of being an artiat. He has been adopted by Lucy.

Traveled over to the mausoleum and Hendrix is now half in love with Morna, and it has been made canon that she's just Morticia Addams.

Think that Voz is Hawt and just Misunderstood.

Let's go? Can't wait to see what happens next. And Lucy is demanding more info about Bartholomew, someone I made up in the fly so here's to my first campaign regular.

1. oh damn I have multiple favorites! I think ones that I enjoy the most (at the moment) are them

they are basically a (in the 2000s) newbie punk band formed by two friends who are like brothers to each other. they bonded over both having not so great families (not like tragic-backstory awful but yknow. the average traditional family)

yeah I still can't figure out what their band name would be. yeah since 2020. sorry. such is life.

while they're not the ones I've wrote the most about, as in not much at all, I just really like them :)

Y’all need to know about my off-the-rails multiplayer BG3 party. We play on Wednesdays with a full 4-person party. We’ve got:

Barca, dwarf cleric of Helm- de facto leader, “straight man”, only one to wear clothes at camp. Calls cloud of daggers “the meat grinder”. Will not heal you! Played by D., programmer who has never made it past the gauntlet of Shar

Wraith-a-los, Dragonborn warlock- nice guy! Friendly! Male but unintentionally has the feminine body type so he wears a bikini. Eldrich blasts his way through every problem. Played by K., guy whose wife is having a baby any day now. He’s beat the game on his own.

Amos, half-Drow wild magic barbarian- Not very bright! The only one who didn’t strike out at the tiefling party. Got railed by Gale while everyone else watched. Has caused an FPK. Almost always butt naked. Played by me.

Bartholomew, halfling warlock- CHAOS. Was a bard, then a soldier, now a warlock. Always going “I’ve got this!” and then committing friendly fire. Frequently used as an improvised weapon. Exclusively throws spears and salami. Played by T., a motorcycle sales guy with three cats.

Some notable moments so far:

Amos got the bite night scene with Astarion while butt naked

Bartholomew asks to be thrown by yelling “uppies!!”

I was the only one who had ever been to moonrise towers before the big battle (!?)

Wraith-a-los got Lae’zel killed

We got smited (smote?) by a god

Everyone is naked at camp except for Barca who keeps trying to get us to put our pants on

We dye our armor to match each other

There are a lot more voiced Tav lines when you don’t have companions!
