Latest haul!

I went to my local book store yesterday and thought I’d share what I got. I went through the bargain section, of course, so about half of the books on the list came from the bargain section. The others were found just while I was browsing the rest of the store. I could pretty much live at the book store if I had endless money………..

Imagine you're seungmin and its your first time going to a big fancy fashion show on your own and you're so, so nervous that you cant even hide it at the airport while you're posing and then you fly for 12 long hours and you get there and they say Hello Mr. Kim we are most excited to have you at Loewe's Parish Fashion week Show and then they proceed to hand you a jacket made from the same fabric Jim Careys the Grinch skin was made out of and a regular pair of blue jeans and they say we are a 200 year old designer brand- A classic. So you smile and you put your nuclear waste coloured fluffy coat on and you get out of that van.

i passed the theoretical exam for my driver's license today and decided to treat myself by going to the second hand bookshop and i found this lovely copy of salomé illustrated by aubrey beardsley!

also seems like the book was owned by the recitor and director gert westphal before, this sticker was on the inside of the cover. i like the funky little face of his logo :)

Y’know what really makes me want to cry?

The fact that I can’t buy or borrow the books I want because my mother has a lovely habit of checking every book I get for “inappropriate material” now that she isn’t there to “supervise”

Guess what I’m most looking forward to when I’m out of the house?????

Bargain book hunting?

Do you ever go bargain hunting when shopping for books? Where do you bargain shop at? What sort of bargains do you find? My local book store that I like to frequently shop at, it does have a bargain section. I always check out the bargain section when I go there, especially when they have their bargain books on sale where they’re “buy 2 & get the 3rd free”. I can really stretch out my money then…

Fourteenth Doctor forced to go grocery shopping. From a distance sees Martha Jones comparing two bottles of potato chips (or "the queen's crisps" because they're in the UK). Excuses himself to the produce section so he doesn't have to answer for a bunch of stuff. Unfortunately, as he's rounding the corner, he sees Yasmin Khan looking for a good bargain on spinach. Excuses himself to the cleaning supplies section so he doesn't have to answer a bunch of questions about why last week he made Yaz realize she was a lesbian and told her that they couldn't be together because she could never settle down, and then immediately turned into a gay man and retired with his heterosexual bestie. Realizing there's no way out of the store without passing one or both of them, he simply tries to blend in with all the brooms and hopes the moment passes.

💿softerhaze' LiS record store conversion 4t2💿

yet another set i needed for my game - i did not convert everything, just the things i wanted

no polys exceeding 2k. the highest i reckon is the cd mesh with all the cds combined (not pictured but its literally just the separates as one mesh).

the bargain box (first pictured) comes in three sizes; small, medium and large. stuff is repo'd, textures range from like 256px to 1024px. cds had to be 1024px but there's like 5 textures for those, and the furniture is also 1024px. sucks but it is what it is lol

i did major remapping on a lot of the items, most notably the cd box (i wanted higher res cds in the box without altering the size, it's like 1024x512) and the record label header thingy (second pictured) - it used to be a huge 1024px texture, but only one square of the texture changed so i cropped it down to 256px and voila. it has a wide range of genres written on them so u'll never run out!

the shelves are deco shelves but i positioned the height of the cds accurately so they'll slot in perfectly even without slots, no omsp required :D

the cds and cd box are in the audio section, the shelves are in shelves, magazines are in books, the clipboard and the bargain box are in deco/misc

the shelves are recoloured in goat's woods and in some pooklet naturals, master files have a volatile base (swatch included)

i did not convert the vinyls from this set as i already have vinyls in my game that i uploaded the other day here. if ur looking for music posters, i made some here and here. let me know if anything's wonky and most importantly have fun!
