for those barchies wondering why bugheads/varchies are happier with an open ending...

the reason is because of a cast relationship that's literally the best outcome. i think bughead/varchie were always gonna get the same ending whether it was both endgame or an open ending, as in key moments roberto will always revert back to that core four best friends endgame and barchie just doesn't fit into that as well

could barchie have been endgame? absolutely, but putting them together with more than one season remaining ended that. the best thing barchie had going for itself was the unknown. once people saw them together they lost all hype, and they were boring as hell let's be honest

barchie managed to lose a race they were the only runner in. they fell over, busted their knee and had to be carried away on a stretcher by barchiedaily in shame, that's how much roberto didn't rate them

bugheads/varchies know they got the best of riverdale, the better story, and the show ends with people wanting them, not barchie. and an open ending doesn't take away from that, it only adds to it. that's why they're happier.

The obsession with the wedding is so weird to me. We have the synopsis til 7x11 where betty is still involved with Archie and Reggie. (must be true love!) but then 1 or 2 eps later, they should be engaged? They don't want anything for their ship, no development, just the engagement xD it's also weird to me how betty being confident has to with Archie? Bc a girl can't have confidence if a guy doesn't love her? No one hates betty more than ba stans

Oh, the amount of hate the BA stans have for Betty is unmatched. She is a prize to them. A trophy for princely Archie, and she should give up anything she wants to mold to his desires. No idea where they got wedding, but probably the same place they got rain kiss and porch scene. Slowburns and barchiedaily's wants taken as fact.

That's why BA here is irritating, but easy to discount. Betty in BA isn't Betty. Betty as we know her ended when any sort of BA started. She swallows any personality traits, wants and likes she has, and exists only to be "worthy" of Archie. It makes it easy to throw any BA and any seasons like this in the trash where they belong.

In case you don't know there is another romantic BA car scene in 720. Barchiedaily reposted Devon the set dec story where the jalopy is ready for filming and said she hope it's a BA scene and he said to "Just wait" confirming that BA are still together, madly in love, happy and endgame in 720

You guys are so easy to please. Someone gives you a totally non committal answer to the most mundane thing and you get hyped. You're lucky I'm not working on the show because I'd mess with you soooo hard.

Why does this writer keep giving spoilers for the entire season? Isn’t that weird? For a show with lagging viewership you’d think they would want to keep fans guessing or in the dark a little bit instead of continually alienating their largest fan base and basically begging them to tune out for the season.

I feel like I'm missing something here because he didn't say anything? Really do not want to get into the middle of this, I have had more than enough of "fans" yelling at me and telling me to k*ll myself this weekend, but since I have way too many asks about this, if you want my honest interpretation he was asked a question with a lot of parts to it and basically responded with a shrug.
