Salary Workers Get Silly in Kachou Baka Ichidai Key Visual

  A new key visual shows the cast in full foolish mode for Kachou Baka Ichidai ("The Life and Times of an Idiot Section Chief"), an upcoming live-action TV drama based on the office comedy manga by Eiji Nonaka (Cromartie High School) about a young and eager but thoroughly nonsensical man who becomes the manager of home appliance company.

    Originally serialized from 1996 - 2000 in Kodansha's Mister Magazine, the story of Kachou Baka Ichidai follows Kazuhiko Yagami, a truly foolish young man who has somehow managed to be promoted to the position of product development section chief for Matsushiba Electric Appliances. Yagami's impenetrable foolishness causes his co-workers and business rivals no end of grief.

    The live-action Kachou Baka Ichidai TV drama is directed by Kentarô Moriya, Hiroki Murakami, and Keisuke Kondou and it stars Matsuya Onoe, Ryo Kimura, Mariya Nagao, Shunya Itabashi, Isao Takeno, Hikosaburo Bando, and Sadanji Ichikawa. The series will broadcast for 11 episodes on BS12 on Mondays at 7:00pm JST beginning on January 12, 2020, and on Hikari TV on Saturdays beginning on January 04, 2020.
