Appreciation post for the cat I call Bandit, they aren’t even mine but usually comes meow at my patio door late at night for rubs and meat. They’re kinda become a staple in my life and act more dog than cat sometimes.

Either way, I’ve never loved being robbed of food more.

Bella goes into her crate whenever she sleeps and whenever we leave the house. I just got back from dropping off Elijah at school. I went to the pantry to look for the bread. It’s not there. Oh yes, I left it on the counter. But I don’t see it. I take another step and there it is. Darn CAT got into it!!! It was Bandit. The cat who prefers to eat all the human food instead of his cat food. Ugh!! I can’t win. If it’s not one animal, it’s the other. The doll is a prosthetic mom, a substitute maternal figure, that came about very naturally... When we had a show in Germany, I decided the show needed the doll's animism, so we hid one in the gallery. But the cat started to lose its mind--it was so attached to this substitute. It sits here alone at night, so the cat must have a relationship with it.
