The kindness and support you show others, even people you've never met, makes you far more attractive than any of those anons will ever be. I don't even need to meet you to know you're a beautiful person, Bandit. Your blog has been something of a safe space for me ever since I discovered it and I thank you for that. Keep on rocking, girl! ☺️
Oh gosh this is by far the sweetest message I can remember receiving. I’m honestly touched. Thank you so much.
I’m glad that you consider my blog a safe space for you. This is me announcing that everyone is welcome and protected in banditland! (That’s a horrible name. I’ll come up with something better.)

Gold Rush
I agree with the explanations above, however, I think that the overall aesthetics and nostalgia of both Folklore and Evermore as a whole tell us that her wishes really are to live a simple life (Imagery of woods and the line she says in the Folklore documentary about being surprised by the simplicity of the lives of The Lake Poets and how she wants to do the same), but she doesn't dare to -more of this later-.
Therefore, Gold Rush, in my opinion, is really about how she rushed to choose the Madison Square (The Lucky One), the fancy cars, the money, the perfect girlfriend/lover (not only physically, but also in accordance to some subjective metric of Taylor), only to find out that her lover is not perfect (like Betty does when she finds out James has lived up to Betty's worst standards), and his/her love is not genuine because he/she is only looking for material things as well. This realization brings Taylor to do an entire reconsideration of her life and the meaning of it, which bring her to the conclusion that nothing of what she has materially or emotionally is reflective of her own essence. Sure, she wrote songs wholeheartedly, but what came after, deception (Cowboy Like Me), the Gold Rush (the obsessive search for wealth), the thirst for fame, etc, led her astray to where she became a bandit (Cowboy Like Me). When she notices that she is now a bandit, she begins to feel disgust for herself and thus desires to commit suicide (This is Me Trying). But she doesn't. She can't commit suicide for the same reason that she doesn't dare to go live like The Lake Poets, there is a huge number of people counting on her (her fans, her team, her mom). Now, because she didn't commit suicide (This is Me Trying) she has to deal with the reality that she is so far apart from her truest self. Thus, looking back on her life, she decides she doesn't like a Gold Rush, mainly because of where that ended her, and blinded her because she didn't want to believe her lover was after the same things as her (money and fame), which she must have sensed because of where she found him/her (Banditland), but ignored anyways. The bond was made, problems in the relationship began, and finally, the love "faded into the gray of my day old tea", because she built this person up in her mind (we see this in Willow when she expresses that she wants to be led by her lover and her lover's manipulations, in Tolerate it when she says she uses her best colors for the other's portrait) but the person fell short to the point of just tolerating the relationship, I imagine because of all the benefits dating a superstar might include.
As a side note, and to conclude with my post, I don't think the pursuit of fame and wealth are inherently bad. They come from ambition, which in itself is a fire 🔥 that powers progress in civilization and individuals 🌇🕴, but when it is felt in excess, it starts to destroy everything around it, which is what Taylor regrets. Her pursuit of only one element, namely fire (material success 🏆💪, fame, etc.) to the exclusion of the the other, namely water (calmness, tranquility, long-term vision, patience) is what she shows us in her songs throughout all albums. It's not that those things don't matter, but that they aren't the only things that matter, she tells in Folklore and Evermore alongside the Poets metaphor.
The end.
Not that you mention gold rush and greed, can it also match up with “never wanted love just a fancy car”?
it sure can!! it's interesting tho because in cowboy like me she also posits herself as a person who cares more about money/fame/success than true love, someone who uses other people to get ahead, someone who seems almost proud of the heists she's pulled off at the expense of somebody else but also, in classic swiftian manner, knows one day it will come to bite her in the ass ("and i know i'll pay for it" which reminds me of "maybe i got mine but you'll all get yours" from lwymmd) but also , and this stings, it reminds me of the lucky one and how she wonders if she'll make it out alive because she did choose madison square over the rose garden (so many thoughts about this all the time) she did realize some bigger dreams of hers but at what cost???? at what cost??? she doesn't like a gold rush but she chased it anyway and now all her daydreams of having a normal life and a normal love, the daily peace of loving plainly etc etc are just daydreams

What can be done to move away from CCP? via /r/China
What can be done to move away from CCP?
Just some random thoughts, dont have to go with all of them or agree with all of them.
USA should create an escalation path for CCP, Ideally with allies.
The following should happen yesterday regardless of anything at all:
- Remove confucktious institutes from the free world
- Force Chinese companies to have the same audits and transparency as all other countries or delist them from stock market
- Remove ccp propaganda media ability to lie to the rest of the world by either labelling them as literally liars or making it difficult for them to operate outside of China- THink about ways to block or band Chinese apps such as TikTok, WeChat, Baidu, Zoom etc from the free world.
- Destroy those stupid fucking man made islands in the south China sea and tell ccp to fuck off
- Enable Taiwan its official global independence
If HK Bill is enacted or human rights/freedom abuses continue, unfair trade practices, organ harvesting etc then the following should occur:
Create a move home to USA fund for businesses ($5Tn) (This should only be available if businesses can be fully free from CCP China within 24 months)
Create a move to anywhere but ccp banditland ($1Tn) (This should only be available if businesses can be fully free from CCP China within 24 months)
2020 - Sanctions for government members individually2020 - HK Starts the process of becoming just another CCP shithole, loses special status2020 - All existing suspended tariffs resume2020 - All existing tariffs and restrictions applied to mainland is applied to HK2020 - All other imports without a tariff should receive one, even if nominal like 1% for critical imports, this will give a clear message to global businesses
2021 - Increase all non critical tariffs by 12% (1% per month cumulative)2022 - Increase all non critical tariffs by 24% (2% per month cumulative)
2023 - Increase all non critical tariffs by 48% (4% per month cumulative)
2024 - Increase all non critical tariffs by 96% (8% per month cumulative)2024 - Increase all critical import tariffs by 24% (2% per month cumulative)
2025 - Increase all non critical tariffs by 192% (16% per month cumulative)2025 - Increase all critical import tariffs by 48% (4% per month cumulative)
Do it over time so that everyone knows what they need to do. Do it fast enough to build momentum, BOIL THE FAT CCP FROGS and the greedy as fuck corporations who moved the jobs and production there etc...

Let me break it down for those that don't know. Box lacrosse is hella similar to hockey. Just imagine a smaller net, faceoffs that actually matter, and a shot clock.
Now. The Bandits are Actually Good. They made the last four NLL Cup finals, winning the championship the last two seasons. They also have the best crowd in the league and games are streamed on ESPN+. Oh and we're coached by the greatest lacrosse player of all time, John Tavares. Yes. He's the hockey JT's uncle.
Join us in Banditland.
It really is. I'm begging more Sabres fans to get into the Bandits. Enjoy success and happiness. The games are similar I promise!

Welcome to Banditland! The Buffalo Bandits Experience
When you think of Buffalo sports teams – and their fans – you likely picture the famed Bills Mafia, the legion of Sabres fans, and possibly even the loyal followers of those Buffalo Baseball Bisons (stampede!). It’s true we “live and die” by our sports teams here, but flying so raucously under the “major sports” radar are the Buffalo Bandits.
The Bandits are yet another professional sports team in our city, representing the National Lacrosse League.
Lacrosse you say? My novice assessment of the sport has it as a cross between hockey and basketball in terms of rules, but in terms of fun and entertainment value, I’d put it as better than attending an NHL, NFL and NBA game combined.
Seeing a Bandits game in person is some serious fun. Here’s what you’re guaranteed to enjoy when you attend a game:
• Music! The entire game is accompanied by upbeat and exciting tunes.
• Play-by-play. This combines the TV experience with live game action. The PA announcer calls the game and maybe even eggs on the crowd in attendance. “What’s he got? NOTHING!”
• 20+ combined goals per game. It’s no rare occurrence for games to end with both teams scoring in the teens. Sure beats those “defensive battles.”
• Crazed fans. It’s a sea of orange jerseys, orange faces, orange hats. Maybe even orange hair. The fans are die-hard, and they show it. They also have their own set of chants and taunts for the opponents. B – O – X. B – O – X. TO THE BOX, TO THE BOX, TO THE BOX, BOX, BOX! WOOOOO!
Add to this a history of winning and success (yep, the Bandits hold many league records and multiple championships), an occasional on-field fight, and a few cold ones and you’ve got a recipe for a great night out.
I’m a bit ashamed to admit, despite living here my whole life, and at various points being a season ticket holder of each of the Bills, Sabres and Bisons – that until 2018, I had never been to a Bandits game.
I was missing out all these years. Don’t you do the same. Get there. Get nuts. Go Bandits!

Luckily Klaus is in banditland so I don't have to figure it out rn, but he and Flynn sort of have this indirect and awkward relationship. And I have no idea what it's like. They don't like each other, but they don't really know anything about each other either. When body switching was happening and they were in each others bodies, they must've talked though. He dislikes her but Klaus would try to he civil because it's Natalie's daughter. He'd answer her questions, which I'm sure Flynn had lots of. And with her being Natalies daughter, I think he'd feel like he'd have some obligation to look out for, especially after discovering her dad was kinda a bad dad after Natalie's death. And I'm sure Flynn blames Klaus for her crappy childhood, which is understandable but not entirely fair. Idk. I think, with what would be taken away from bod swap, they'd still dislike each other. But Klaus will be begrudgingly protective of her overall. And I'm thinking Flynn could...slowly warm up to him. Idk, they're on my mind on a lot, and I love my vampires.
