Ceylon. Sri Lanka. 1953
A Time Patrol movie Buddhist monk, Sri-Lanka, 1953 Ceylon, as I “knew” of it (didn’t go there), or Sri Lanka as it is now called is one of the rare countries of the Indian sub-continent to have stayed mainly Buddhist. India is mostly Hindu; Pakistan and Bangladesh are Moslem countries. While “my Lord” Buddha was born on the Indian subcontinent, somewhere in Nepal, Buddhism flourished mostly in…

Cryptid of the Day: Bandar-log
Description: In 1824, Henry Piddington relates how “workers” on his coffee plantation captured two monkey-people near an unknown Indian village. They had long limbs & covered in red hair, like an orangutan, but seemed to be able to communicate in their own language.

🦧🐒 Though created for laughs, the kidnapping of Mowgli by the monkeys in Disney’s “The Jungle Book” has some dark ties to the original “Jungle Book” story by Rudyard Kipling. In the words of Kipling, this describes Mowgli’s kidnapping:
“The monkeys followed Baloo and Bagheera and Mowgli through the jungle very quietly till it was time for the midday nap. Mowgli fell asleep between the panther and the bear, resolving to have nothing to have no more with the Moneky-Folk.
The next thing Mowgli remembered was feeling hands on his legs and arms, and then a swash of branches in his face. Soon he was staring down through the swaying boughs as Baloo woke the jungle with his deep cries and Bagheera bounded up the trunk with every tooth bared. The monkeys howled with triumph and scuffled away to the upper branches where Bagheera dared not follow.
Two of the strongest monkeys caught Mowgli under the arms and swung off with him through the treetops. Sick and giddy as Mowgli was, he could not help enjoying the Wild rush, though the glimpses of the earth far down below frightened him. So, bounding and crashing and whooping and yelling, the monkeys swept along the tree roads with Mowgli their prisoner.” 🌴🐒🐵

From the same post with a bunch of ocs without information
Row and Book
Formally, I only showed Row, but from the moment of his creation I had a girl as his mate… And yes, both characters were created for the universe of the book (well, or a series of three books) “The Gray House” by Mariam Petrosyan.
Row was created sometime in 2022 when I read the story for the first time, and Book was created in the summer of 2023 while I was rereading Gray House in the hospital.
By the way, the events of the Gray House take place in a boarding school for teenage children with disabilities (although sometimes completely healthy children were sent there). And the students here use nicknames instead of names, so Roe and Book are nicknames.
The Gray House is divided into female and male buildings, the residents of which began to contact only towards… the middle of the third act. And the residents of the men's building are also divided into "packs", each living in their own dorm room.
And Row from the pack of Rats. Which are known for their behavior between punks and clowns, they cannot be trusted with sharp objects and in the common dining room there is not a day when one of the Rats does not try to open himself with a fork. It's just for show though. They are very noisy.
Row is also noisy (that's actually why he got his nickname, another version is Gwalt, which is essentially the same thing in my language), despite the fact that he is mute. He lost the ability to speak after an unsuccessful operation. He is also the reason why the entire pack knows sign language, although Row gestures so quickly and vigorously that even they do not always understand him.
Also, despite the fact that he is unable to speak, Row is a member of the Bandar-Logs, a group of the most restless and talkative boys from different dorms, usually the news of the Gray House is transmitted through them. And yes, Row still manages to convey information sometimes.
Row collects self-tapping screws, removing them from everywhere and collecting them in a jar. He is literally ready to fight for this jar. He loves self-tapping screws so much that he wears one in his ear as an earring.
Row has been at Gray House since he was 10 years old and he's "currently" 16, he's rude and can easily end a "conversation" by giving the middle finger and walking away. But despite this, he meets the Book, his absolute opposite.
Book herself came to the Gray House at the age of 11 and she is “currently” 15 years old. She got her nickname for the huge collection of books in the entire House, so many of them that they stand in stacks next to her bed in the women's dormitory, forming a “wall”, a folding screen behind which she can hide from others. Some of the books she brought with her from the moment she arrived at the House, some were overdue and not returned from the library, some came from nowhere at all. And the girl herself didn’t even read half of it.
She wears a homemade “amulet” made from a button around her neck, in her words, for a better connection with society. She is nearsighted and can't see anything without glasses.
I learned sign language in a month, almost immediately after I met Row. Despite the general background of mental instability, they have a rather sweet relationship. The girl often reads out loud to the guy.

Someone asked what cryptids were likely misidentified humans, and I have two examples. The Maricoxi, a tool wielding group encountered by Percy Fawcett in South America, and the Bandar-Log, an Indian tribe that were called monkey people by locals, but who could speak.

The Legend of the Jungle
· In the story, the jungle that will be seen in the story will take place in Ninjago, and will not be a canonical jungle as seen in the series. The Ninjago jungle is one of the most sacred and enormous in the world, it has numerous origin stories, but the most famous one told is about how the animals that first set foot in this jungle are elephants. Local villages say that elephants were the animals that spread the jungle by creating numerous mountains with their footprints, creating rivers with their tusks, and increasing the growth of trees with their tromps. That is, why elephants are sacred in the jungle and all animals show them respect, they do not talk much, but their actions say a lot, also, they travel a lot through the jungle, that is why they are not seen much in the same place.
· The first animals that arrived in this jungle lived together in peace and established the "Laws of the Jungle" and this applied to each animal that lived in the jungle, the same jungle even gave all animals the gift of speech and other languages to that they could coexist better with each other, even, if they wanted, animals could communicate with humans. Not many animals decided to use the gift of speech, but even without speaking, animals could understand each other.
· Elephants are the ones who protect the jungle, every living being in the jungle shows them respect by bowing before them, and they are the only ones who understand the jungle best, they know when the jungle is in danger or when an animal shows itself to be a threat to the entire jungle and its inhabitants. But there are herds that govern their parts of the jungle, each animal maintains its territory, that is part of the Law of the Jungle, and there are seasons in which sometimes hunting is prohibited and the animals coexist in peace, breaking these laws means exile on the Eastern side of the jungle, a dark and dry place full of numerous valleys and ruins, several of which were from human civilizations, and where almost no sunlight is enough and many animals do not go there due to scarcity of food and water.
· The eastern side of the jungle is mainly inhabited by scavengers, carnivores that had broken some of the laws, or other animals that did not adapt to living in their herds or parts of the jungle. It is also inhabited by a herd of apes that is mixed by several species, and they call themselves the Bandar-Logs, this herd is led by the ape who proclaims himself "Ape King", this ape is called Chen, and he does not like following the laws of the jungle, he makes his command steal whatever he wants and bothers whoever he wants, sometimes his henchmen enter the territory of humans to steal various of their belongings and use them as decorations. There are no definitive leaders in that territory, all the animals that arrive there must kill, fight or steal to survive on their own. But also, that place is known as "The Lawless Territory", and many are prohibited from going there.
· On the edge of the Ninjago jungle is the Man Village, or Jamanakai Village as the humans named it, this village has existed for a long time and continues to thrive in modern years, although it is not as expandable as other villages, it still has humble characteristics, but not at all run down, this village marks the beginning at the entrance to the Ninjago jungle for humans living on the continent. Its inhabitants are in charge of taking proper care of the jungle, since from its beginnings the first men to arrive there affirmed that the jungle was a sacred place that should not be destroyed or changed by other human activities.
· The Jamanakai Village is a quite famous tourist place thanks to its excursions in the jungle, tourists get on vans and the guides explain each story about the jungle, very few animals are seen since humans have no idea about the existence of the Jungle Laws. The inhabitants of the village are quite vigilant in some places in the jungle to avoid hunting, which is prohibited. Although the village is not modernized, it has a road that leads directly to the city, which is where tourists come from and travel to the Jamanakai village to visit the jungle and its inhabitants.
· The town is not that big, but it has a school, a hospital, a small police station and a tower that is the control center that can contact the city. The people are only made up of farmers, shepherds, explorers, tourist guides, fishermen, artisans, teachers, doctors, bricklayers, merchants, hunters, police and mechanics. The guides, and some inhabitants of the town, teach the tourists about their traditions and festivals that they celebrate in the town, and how they highly value the jungle, since they mention that it is very special for them and the animals that live in it he, but they do mention that despite being a beautiful place it can also be a dangerous place, since if they venture into the jungle without the right guide, they may run a great risk of not being able to return alive.
· The village only has certain seasons to receive tourist visits, as the village is small, they must have a certain control to be able to receive the tourists who arrive from the city. This made the daily lives of the villagers easier.
· The jungle has several laws, but there are only three laws that are very important and sacred for the jungle, and these prevent conflicts between men and animals, which are: 1) "Do not come into contact with humans or their animals and territories", this law serves to ensure that wild animals do not bother humans, in addition to protecting animals from humans who want to follow them into the jungle. 2) "Do not destroy crops or kill you livestock human", this serves so that humans do not feel threatened by the jungle animals and also prevents them from hunting them. 3) "Never kill humans for sport", this also applies to the law of not hunting for sport for animals that hunt their prey, this last law is important, since if an animal breaks it, it can bring many dangers to the environment jungle and start a war with humans. If an animal kills or hurts a human out of legitimate defense, it will be judged by the jungle who will determine if its action was the best or not. Breaking one of these laws means immediate expulsion to the East side of the jungle.
· But one afternoon, the great black lion Omega, (who is the Oni leader of the Ninjago series), decided to break the third sacred law of the jungle; "Do not kill humans for sport." Omega attacked a group of explorers traveling through the jungle, Omega entered human territory and hunted the group while killing them one by one before they could reach Jamanakai Village. Among the group was a couple with a baby, the man tried to defend his wife and child from the ferocious black lion, he managed to hurt Omega by burning the left side of his face completely, but that made Omega angrier and he murdered without compassion, the mother tried to flee, but she had no time left when she heard the lion approaching her. The mother hid her one-year-old baby among the roots and molasses of a nearby tree, Omega he reached the mother and killed her without mercy, he tried to find the baby that the woman had but he never found it and he continued hunting the rest of the humans who were still trying to flee. The jungle had protected the little human cub.
· But that same day, the two lion brothers Kai and Nya, who belonged to one of the prides that governs the northern territory of the jungle, were walking and exploring the area. When they saw the massacre that Omega caused, they felt as if the jungle itself was leading them to the little human cub hidden among the molasses and the roots of the tree. Seeing him, Kai could see something special in him, and if the jungle protected him it must be for a reason. Kai decided to take him to his pack so he could convince Wu, his leader, to keep the little human.
· Kai managed to get Wu to reunited the entire pack and be able to decide the fate of the little human cub. Many of the lions were surprised to see the little human. Many disagreed since humans did not belong in the jungle, but upon learning of what Omega did and how he killed the other humans had understandings for the little human baby. Wu, observing the little baby, also saw something special in him, he even felt like the jungle itself was asking him to accept the little human into its pack. Wu then agreed to let the human cub live in his pack, and Kai and Nya would be in charge of raising him.
· Kai and Nya were once two orphaned cubs, after their parents died in Omega's clutches, this happened during a hunt, Omega stole their prey and then killed them when they tried to challenge him, and all this happened outside of Wu's territory. From then on the entire pride became the enemy of the black lion.
· Kai named the human cub "Lloyd," as he could see that name was engraved on one of the blankets he was wrapped in when he found him in the tree. Lloyd grew up as if he were just another lion, other lionesses who had cubs helped the two brothers in taking care of Lloyd, even other friends of Kai and Nya, who were not lions, helped with raising Lloyd. And while he was growing up, Lloyd used old fabrics left by humans to create a kind of cloth shorts that reached halfway to his knees.
· Kai and Nya never denied Lloyd that he was a human cub, they didn't want to lie to him about his origins, but the funny thing is that Lloyd never liked humans, even though he was one of them, that was because Lloyd grew up away from them and heard dangerous things about them from other animals. Wu taught him all kinds of languages so that he could understand the animals of the jungle, he even taught him the human language, but Lloyd never liked those classes, but he still had to listen to Wu since he was his leader.
· Cole, one of Kai and Nya's friends, is a black gorilla who lives in the area of giant trees with his pack. He regularly visits Kai and Nya to hang out, but now he does it more frequently to visit Lloyd, Cole's home is so high that he had to teach Lloyd from a very young age to climb trees, Lloyd thinks that Cole's home Cole is made of paths built in the air, as many of the branches and trunks are connected and appear to be paths and bridges floating in the air. Cole even taught Lloyd how to swing on the vines in the trees and get the best fruit. Several members of Cole's pack like to play with Lloyd, especially the cubs.
· Cole jokingly admits that maybe he and Lloyd could be distant relatives since they are almost identical. He gladly lets Lloyd climb on his back so they can walk through the trees together. When Lloyd creates human-like tools for himself, he uses them to more easily remove fruits from trees, something Cole enjoys since he has no difficulty reaching some fruits.
· Zane is a white wolf who will soon be the next leader of his pack along with his companion Pixal, Zane's pack is an important ally of Wu's pack, both packs are responsible for bringing balance and peace to their territories and establishing the laws of the jungle. Zane loves playing with Lloyd, together they compete in races and help Lloyd get faster, Pixal even gets along with the human cub, and even treats Lloyd to several moon howls with his pack from time to time. Lloyd even admits that he likes howling like a wolf more than roaring like a lion like his brothers.
· Zane taught Lloyd all types of howls, and how to distinguish them as signals or calls. Zane and Pixal compete with Lloyd in many races, as they help Lloyd prepare for his test with the pack which involves a lot of speed.
· Jay is a peculiar hawk with blue and white feathers who is also Kai and Nya's main source of information from above, he can see everything that happens in the jungle, and he likes to visit human territory, and when he finds a human object, It keeps it in its nest, which is a large hollow trunk that has various fruits, nuts, mice and insects. He always shows Lloyd his collection of human things, sometimes Lloyd is fascinated by him, but he still doesn't like to talk about humans, sometimes he borrows some of Jay's things to create new tools.
· Jay usually plays a lot with Lloyd in the meadows and insists that Lloyd manage to catch him. When Lloyd manages to reach the top of a rock wall, he teaches him how to sharpen his eyesight so that he can see beyond the landscapes. He tends to perch a lot on Lloyd's shoulder, but he tends to be careful with his claws, he talks a lot and tells many of the things he has seen. Kai usually says that Jay, instead of being a hawk, seems to be a cockatoo, since he doesn't stop talking talk, but that doesn't bother Lloyd, he loves spending time with him. He plays with Cole's food sometimes too.
· Lloyd has three best friends, and they are: Kataru, the bear cub, Akita, the lonely white wolf cub, and Brad, the fox. They play a lot of hide-and-seek and races, they also like to climb for fruit, hunt mice and crawl through holes in the jungle. They usually go to bathe in a small lake where many species gather to drink water or to rest. They even play there along with other animals. Kataru even climbs in places where honey is found, and usually brings several pieces so that his friends can also enjoy this juicy delicacy. Akita is the fastest, and usually plays a lot with Lloyd at running or catching, and Akita always ends up being the winner. Brad teaches Lloyd how to hide and camouflage himself in the jungle so he doesn't get caught so easily.
· Sometimes Lloyd visits the famous peacock Dareth with his friends, a bird that loves attention too much and enjoys being seen and praised by humans. He doesn't mind humans taking photos of him, and even poses for them. Lloyd finds it absurd that Dareth is loved by humans just for his poses, but Dareth always says it's because of his beauty and charming feathers. Kai always prays that one day the humans will take Dareth since he can't stand that he is always talking about himself, he admits that he is worse than Jay. Even all the female birds worship Dareth.
· Lloyd knows about elephants, he has never seen them, but he has heard amazing stories about them, he hopes to one day see an elephant, and he knows very well that he must bow to them to show them respect. Wu, apart from being their leader, is also their teacher, as well as that of other young lions who train to join the pride and earn their manes.
· Lloyd has always been a curious child, he has seen man's machines, such as airplanes, helicopters and automobiles, but only from a distance, he considers them to be mutant metal creatures that transport humans to any place, from a hill he can see times how humans live, see how they even make a big bonfire in the middle of the village and celebrate around it. Lloyd doesn't want anything to do with the humans, but he can't help but look at the human village.
· Lloyd creates various tools and tricks to improve his life in the jungle, Wu allowed him to perform his tricks, but did not let him show them to the other animals in the jungle since they would be scared and see it strange. He created his own bed inside the cave where he and his brothers live, but he still likes to sleep curled up with his brothers, especially with Kai, on cold nights he likes to curl up on his back to be closer to his mane.
· Lloyd created a necklace that contains two of his brothers' fangs and two locks of hair from each one, he considers it his most precious treasure. His first weapon was a spear made from a sharpened stick and stone that he regularly used to fish and gather fruit from the treetops. And to imitate the claws of his brothers, he made himself a stone knife that he uses in hunting practices with his brothers.
· He doesn't eat a lot of raw meat, but he does eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, some insects and nuts. Mangos have always been his favorites. Nya usually runs through the grasslands with Lloyd on her back, and Kai does the same, but they always venture into the jungle and jump over the hills. Kai taught Lloyd the art of hunting, he taught him to never hunt for sport. Kai and Nya act like parents to Lloyd, they love him so much that they are almost always by his side. There are nights when the three of them leave their cave and look at the stars, Kai always mentions to Lloyd that the stars are the souls of all living beings, when an animal dies, a new star is born.
· The pack has no problem with Lloyd, they treat him like one of their own, and the pups enjoy playing with him. Lloyd and a group of young lions train together with Wu to pass the pride test, which will be assigned to all of them in order to be official members of the pride and earn their manes, meaning that they can now grow up as proud lions.
· The pride test consists of the young lions hunting their first prey in an agreed area with a time limit, the young ones must bring their prey before the time runs out, if they manage to bring their prey before the when the time is up, they will pass the test and be accepted into the pack and thus earn their manes. Since then, Lloyd trains hard to earn the right to belong to the pack, which is why he always trains with his brothers and friends in order to pass the test.
· The day of the test finally arrived, and it was a day after Lloyd turned his tenth birthday. Lloyd ran so fast to reach the deer he chose as his prey. Not having claws like his brothers, Lloyd used his knife as a weapon. Before time ran out, Lloyd finally managed to reach his prey and bring it to Wu, the pack and his friends celebrated his success by becoming an official member of the pack and earning his mane. Kai and Nya were very proud of their little brother, and Wu was proud of how far Lloyd went living in the jungle, but for some reason he felt that this peace was not going to last long.
· A few days later, a great drought came to the jungle, and it was one of the worst that has been seen in centuries in the jungle, the rivers and some lakes dried up, once that happens, at the foot of the great river it begins the "Water Truce", and the law of the jungle prohibits species from hunting on the banks of the river, and they can only live together in peace until the rains return and begin to fill the rivers and lakes of the jungle.
· When Lloyd and his herd went to drink at the river they saw that all species of animals were gathered there, even the elephants came there, that was the first time Lloyd saw elephants. The next day when they went to the river again, the animals became concerned when they saw that some scavengers had also gathered to drink in the river, and not only that, but Omega, the black lion, had also arrived.
· Omega, despite being known for killing humans, is also feared because he always hunts all the animals in the jungle for sport, he even challenges other carnivores to demonstrate his strength, everyone in the jungle fears him, but Omega knows that he cannot cross some regions because of the packs that rule there, the Wu pack is his main enemy. It is said that Omega was the one who eliminated several members of his own pack for not agreeing with his actions against men, in addition to demonstrating his own strength. The burn marks on the left side of his face show how the man was able to wound him with fire, and they are scars that Omega hates.
· When Omega sees Lloyd for the first time, he realizes that the human cub that lives in Wu's pack is the baby he couldn't kill that day in the jungle when he attacked the group of humans they were exploring. Omega taunts Wu by proclaiming that Lloyd will one day grow up and no longer be a cub, but a man, and mentions that the law forbids men in the jungle. Wu and his command defend Lloyd and Omega threatens that as soon as the rivers flow again in the jungle and the rains return, which is when the truce ends, he will not hesitate to go hunt Lloyd.
· Omega's threat greatly alerted Wu and his pack, they knew that those who tried to protect Lloyd would risk being killed by Omega. When the first rain came after the drought the pack put more pressure on Wu to make a decision, it was then that Kai proposed taking him to Man's Village, Nya refused, of course, she insisted that they could defeat Omega, but Kai convinced he by telling him that Lloyd would be in more danger if he stayed in the jungle, now the village was the only safe place for him.
· Unknowingly, the pack was being watched by one of Omega's spies, Clouse the vulture, who overheard the conversation and did not hesitate to go and tell Omega. When he returned to the east of the jungle he met with the group that Omega had gathered, this was made up of a group of hyenas led by Vex, the Bandar-Longs, who were led by Chen, Pythor the great purple anaconda, and the twin tigers Krux and Acronix, to differentiate them was through the color of their eyes, Krux had dark green eyes and Acronix had grayish blue eyes. There were other scavengers there but they preferred not to be in Omega's group. Several of the group only joined Omega out of fear, more apart from the promise of taking several of the jungle territories.
· When Omega was informed that Lloyd would be sent to the Man Village he ordered his followers to go find the human cub and bring it to him, Omega would not let Lloyd be sent to the village, he would rather kill the pack of Wu than to let his human prey be taken from him.
· Meanwhile, in the life of the Jamanakai Village things do not seem to be going very well, Sorla, head of the village, temporarily banned the entry of several tourists since they are suffering attacks from the ferocious black lion, (that is, Omega), who has been destroying several of their crops, equipment in the jungle and has killed many livestock animals of the inhabitants, when some explorers went to investigate the whereabouts of the lion, several of them managed to survive its attack and returned to the village injureds, Sorla even canceled tours for tourists because he doesn't want to risk them being attacked by the black lion. For now, only the town allows some tourists to walk around the town area and they are no longer allowed to enter the jungle.
· Sorla and other people from the town managed to make contact for help in the city so that they could bring expert hunters so that they could only hunt the black lion, since it has been causing a lot of havoc in the areas where people were exploring parts of the jungle, more seeing how his cattle are being slaughtered by that lion, and after the explorers returned wounded, Sorla knew that he could no longer allow that ferocious lion to continue roaming around the areas of his village.
· A group of expert hunters went to the village, two of those hunters were Ronin, who lives in the city, and the hunter who calls himself Iron Baron, but everyone in the village only calls him Baron, he is a hunter who comes from another country, and upon hearing the news of the great black lion, he did not miss the opportunity to finally hunt one of the animals of the Ninjago jungle. In addition, the town offered a great reward for capturing the lion, whether it was alive or dead.
· Ronin is a solitary hunter, but he was welcomed into the village and appreciated for its hospitality. He is one-eyed, since his left eye was gouged out in a hunt that went wrong, but he still managed to capture the wild animal that attacked him. He usually goes to the town bar a lot, but they always find him preparing his equipment in the cabin where he stays. Many children usually go with him to listen to his hunting stories, and he does not mind the company of the town's little ones.
· Baron on the other hand is quite harsh with everyone, the town only accepts him because he has a great history of successful hunts, but still the authorities keep an eye on him since they know that Baron is also a poacher, since he hunts for sport, and they fear that he will hunt the other animals in the jungle without Sorla's permission. He usually annoys Ronin a lot, and always competes with everyone, he is a quite self-centered and intimidating man, he doesn't mind showing the scars on his face and never lets anyone touch his things, he even brought the collection of animals dissected.
· One of the most important couples lives in the village, the Montgomery couple: Garmadon and Misako, they were born and grew up together in the village, they completed their studies in the city and then again returned to their village to live peacefully. They never managed to have children, but still hope that one day they will be blessed to start a family. They usually help Sorla a lot with the village and tourists, they live a little far from the village in a large country house. Garmadon works as a jungle guide and explorer, he usually takes several tourists in his truck and tells them everything about the jungle, since he grew up hearing all the legends about the Ninjago jungle. Misako is one of the village teachers, and she loves to spend time with all the children, from time to time she goes with her husband and the explorers to explore the jungle, and she loves taking photos of the flora and fauna of the jungle, she even famous thanks to her articles about the Ninjago jungle.
· Garmadon got along well with Ronin, but he doesn't like Baron at all. He guides the hunters where the black lion attacks occur and tells them where he always attacks livestock, he helps Ronin set traps to capture him, normally Ronin only sets non-lethal traps for the lion, he only sets traps so that he is trapped and cannot escaping, on the other hand, Baron, only sets deadly traps, they are even capable of killing a man if they are not careful. Garmadon tried to convince Sorla that Baron was untrustworthy and would only bring trouble, but Sorla was more worried about the black lion than Baron. Furthermore, Sorla confirmed to Garmadon that the local police are keeping a good eye on Baron, since they know his criminal record as a poacher.
· Skylor, Sorla's second-in-command, also lives in the village, as she raised her after being orphaned. She is very close to Garmadon and Misako and always travels to the city to bring resources for the village. She is a very good explorer and when Sorla is not there she is in charge of the town, she usually goes out a lot with three orphaned children who are also in Sorla's care and occasionally Garmadon and Misako, their names are Morro, Harumi and Echo are not siblings, but Their parents died of natural causes, and since the three of them grew up together with Sorla, they are very good friends.
· Morro's parents died when he was young due to smallpox that they both contracted, the smallpox was so strong that they both could not bear it and died, Morro luckily was able to save himself and is now in the care of Sorla and sometimes by the couple Garmadon and Misako, he wants very much to be a hunter, but a hunter like Ronin, someone who does not abuse nature and only hunts when necessary or for protection reasons.
· Harumi lost her father long before she was born due to natural causes and her mother died days after giving birth to her. Since then he grew up under the care of Sorla, Skylor, Garmadon and Misako. She normally works alongside the other women of the village in household chores and chores around the village, she has no intention of leaving the village as it is her home, and she is the best in her class at school.
· Echo lost his mother after he was born and his father raised him ever since, but he died from a terminal illness and was cared for by Sorla and Skylor. He is a fairly shy child, but very hard-working and good. He likes helping out on farms and fishing, and is pretty good at taking care of animals. He wishes to one day go to the city so he can study medicine and become a good doctor for his village.
· When Kai tried to convince Lloyd to go to the man village he refused. Lloyd doesn't want to leave the jungle, he knows that humans are his species, but he doesn't want to leave the home he always knew. Ka tries to convince him that it is for his own good, but Lloyd still refuses to go to the village. But knowing that the rivers would soon fill up and that Omega's threat had everyone in the pack very scared, Lloyd had to make the decision to leave for the good of his pack and his family.
· Kai and Nya offered to personally take Lloyd to the Man's Village, fearing that Omega was sneaking around, they not wanting to leave their little brother alone. Wu approved of this, but before Lloyd left, Wu told him that he will always be a part of his pack and the jungle. Lloyd even got to say a good goodbye to his friends and promised them that he would find a way to visit them once he got to the village.
· Along the way Lloyd insisted that perhaps there is another way to stay in the jungle, but Kai mentioned to him that the topic was not up for discussion, in addition to telling his little brother that a lion like Omega is not something to be taken lightly, during the journey, Kai and Nya told Lloyd about what they knew about Omega, and how he murdered their human parents. Kai also told Lloyd that Omega had murdered his and Nya's parents during a hunt. The three brothers had to take the long way to avoid being chased by Omega, even knowing that this way would take them a few days to reach the village, they knew it was the best option.
· But still, the brothers were chased by Clouse and some members of his species from the air, Omega had devised a plan to capture Lloyd, but for that to work, he must need the help of Chen and his Bandar-Logs. When they stopped to rest by the river, Lloyd was attacked and kidnapped by the Bandar-Logs, seeing that they would take Lloyd to the east side of the jungle, Kai told Nya to go get help while he tried to track down Lloyd and the Bandar-Logs.
· Lloyd was taken to some ruins on top of a hill, that place was the lair of the Bandar-Logs, there Chen kept him as his prisoner while Omega arrived at the place, just at that moment Lloyd saw many scavengers gathered, the anaconda Pyhthor, Clouse and his band of vultures, plus Vex and his hyenas and the twin tigers, Krux and Acronix. Everyone present revealed to Lloyd their hatred for humans, but just then Omega arrived.
· Kai barely arrived at the hills of the ruins where the Bandar-Logs took Lloyd, Nya and her other friends also arrived just in time to support Kai, it was lucky that Jay knew a shorter way to get to the east side of the jungle.
· Omega caused a deep cut to Lloyd on his left arm and before he ended his life, Kai, Nya and the others broke into the ruins, Omega ordered them to attack them, but Cole luckily managed to make several columns were destroyed and the ruins began to collapse before everyone, the frightened scavengers fled the place, as well as the followers of Omega, Pythor was lucky not to be crushed to death. Cole took Lloyd and after disposing of other Bandar-Logs, Lloyd, his brothers and his friends managed to successfully escape from the place.
· This failure caused Omega's anger to grow more, he gathered his followers again, who at first tried to complain about his failure, especially Chen since he blamed Omega for losing his home, but after seeing Omega's anger they remained silent. Omega ordered that they look for more followers like them as he planned to take over the entire jungle, and once that happened, he would let everyone take and eat whatever they wanted, there would no longer be anyone else to implicate the laws of the jungle, and make the Men's Village would disappear forever. Seeing that Omega's promise would benefit all the scavengers, they did not hesitate to follow his orders and gather more followers to their cause.
· After carrying Lloyd to safety and tending to his wounds, Kai knew that he should waste no time and take Lloyd directly to Man's Village. Kai decided that he will be the only one to take Lloyd to town. Kai and Lloyd took the main and fast road that leads to the town, but as soon as they reached a meadow, which was already territory where humans passed, there they found some buffaloes grazing, but they were attacked by some men who seemed hunters, Lloyd hid and Kai managed to flee into the jungle again thanks to the distraction of the buffaloes. Lloyd tried to reunite with his brother but fell into one of the traps Baron, was a hole with very sharp wooden stakes, Lloyd was lucky not to impale himself on one of the wooden stakes, however, he hit his head hard and was knocked unconscious.
· Garmadon, upon seeing that the lion escaped, saw that something activated one of Baron's traps. When he went to check, he saw that there was a boy, apparently 10 years old, and he seemed to be injured, but the most surprising thing was to see how little he was clothes, it didn't seem to be normal clothes, and he only had some kind of shorts made of cloth that were almost in rags, he didn't seem to be one of the children of the village, and he knew them all, he knew that this child was lost, he didn't hesitate get him out of the hole and take him quickly to the hospital, he even scolded Baron for seeing how a little boy fell into his death trap.
· Kai did not leave human territory, and saw from afar how the men took his little brother, however he decided to go in search of Jay so he could obtain more information about Lloyd within the town.
· Lloyd woke up in the hospital, but he was disoriented, he was quite scared when he didn't see his brother and saw that he was not in the jungle. When he looked out the window of his room, he discovered that he was taken to the Man's Village, he had finally arrived, but he felt scared, he didn't know whether to escape from the village now, but if he did that, he knew that it would make the effort of his brothers and friends would be in vain, but still, he wanted to know what happened to Kai. Furthermore, he discovered that his previous wounds were better treated and bandaged with clean bandages.
· Garmadon and Misako were the ones who visited him first, they asked him several questions about whether he was lost or if he had family somewhere, but Lloyd did not answer, the couple thought that he was still affected by the accident, but Lloyd not want to talk to the humans, but I could sense that the couple had no bad intentions, but I still didn't trust them.
· Lloyd spent two days in his hospital room, the doctors did not approach him so as not to scare him, however, if they left him food, Lloyd did not understand the food in the Men's Village, when he tried it he found it delicious, it's something he's never seen before he has seen in the jungle, he knew that if Cole were here he would love human food. When he finished the second day and the new night arrived, he heard Jay's scream from outside, Lloyd went out of the window and skillfully descended from the second floor of the hospital. Lloyd met up with Jay and the blue falcon mentioned that Kai was waiting for him at the jungle entrance.
· Lloyd wasted no time and stealthily managed to leave the town without the humans who were still there noticing. Upon entering the jungle he met Kai there, Lloyd was happy to see his brother again and see that he was okay, Kai was also happy to see his little brother, Kai could see that the humans were taking good care of Lloyd, he saw that they healed his wounds better and gave him more comfortable clothes. Lloyd confirmed to Kai that the village might not be his home, but Kai convinced him that he just needed to get used to it and that maybe one day he would like to live there among his people.
· However, what Lloyd wanted was to not stop seeing his family, Kai mentioned that it would be dangerous for him and the others to approach the village, even more so knowing that there were human hunters and traps. But Kai promised him that they would go visit him and inform him of everything that was happening in the jungle, Kai even mentioned to Lloyd that Nya and Wu, plus his other friends, already knew that he had arrived safely at the village.
· Lloyd and Kai stay together for a while, but as Kai was leaving, Lloyd told him that he was afraid, Kai could only tell him that he had to be brave and adapt to the human village, but he promised him that as soon as Omega's threat If he disappeared, he would visit him more often in the village, and maybe he would run through the jungle again while Lloyd rode on his back, like before. That promise calmed Lloyd down a bit. After Kai left, Lloyd returned to the hospital room where she was staying. Lloyd knew that he had to get used to living like humans did.
· The next day, Lloyd was visited again by the nice Montgomery couple and also by the village chief, Sorla, apparently they wanted to ask him some questions in front of the village council, since Lloyd was not a child of the village, they had to investigate where it came from. Lloyd was taken to a large cabin where the most important people of the Jamanakai Village gathered. When the council met, Sorla began by asking Lloyd if he had any family, obviously he said no, he thought that if he told them that his family were lions they wouldn't believe him, besides, Lloyd didn't want to put his brothers in danger. Then they asked him where he came from, Lloyd could only answer that he came from the jungle, obviously the council was impressed by that, Lloyd also told them his name and that he only came from the jungle, but that was it.
· After asking Lloyd questions, the council and Sorla attempted to investigate cases of missing children. Several of the councilors did not believe that a child as young as 10 could have survived long in the jungle, much less alone. They offered to go to town to investigate whether Lloyd had been reported as a missing child. Now the only thing left to do was see who would take care of Lloyd, so Garmadon and Misako offered to take care of him.
· Garmadon and Misako took Lloyd home, Lloyd obviously looked fearful, but still went with them. The couple could notice that the boy seemed too amazed and afraid of several things, they noticed that he looked very curiously at his car and when they got home, Lloyd began to wander around the place, as if he were studying his new environment like an animal. Misako was the one who showed him his new room and both adults knew that they must help Lloyd a lot so that he could integrate well with the others in the village.
· Garmadon and Misako immediately noticed that Lloyd was not a normal child, they found him sleeping several times on one of the wooden beams in his room and sometimes in the large tree that was outside his house. They also saw him eat some insects and talk to some animals. They saw that he ate a lot of fruit and sometimes raw meat, the couple no longer had any doubt that apparently Lloyd did find himself living for quite some time in the jungle. Lloyd spoke very little with the two of them, but with Misako's help he was able to communicate well little by little.
· Garmadon helped Lloyd explore the village better; Morro, Harumi and Echo soon became curious about him. But it seemed that Morro did not get along with Lloyd at first seeing him as an outsider and a strange wild child who came out of nowhere in the jungle, sometimes Morro would make fun of Lloyd for talking to animals, however, Lloyd managed to impress him by to be the strongest, most skillful and fastest of all the children in the town. Many children were fascinated by Lloyd's incredible tree climbing and tool making skills.
· Lloyd became very close with Harumi, then became close with Echo and Morro, although his relationship with Morro did take time to warm up. Lloyd gradually saw the customs of humans and seemed to be enjoying living in the village and living with the Montgomery couple. The village alike began to treat him kindly, although of course, Lloyd still doesn't talk much about his life in the jungle. But Lloyd still missed his life in the jungle, from the top of the big tree at Garmadon's house and Misako couldn't help but see the view of the jungle, and he wondered if his brothers and friends missed him as much as he missed them.
· Lloyd was always excited to see how Jay appeared in the village and gave him the signal that Kai or Nya were going to visit him, and they always met in the same place, deep in the jungle without any human noticing. Even Cole, Zane, Pixal, Akita, Kataru and Brad came to visit him. But this did not happen often, since Kai mentioned to Lloyd that Omega and his followers began to cause destruction in some territories of the jungle. Kai also mentioned that Wu did everything possible to prevent Omega from taking control of his territory.
· Omega's actions only got worse, Omega continued to destroy the crops, destroyed several of the hunters' traps and continued to murder the village's livestock, killing many animals in the jungle and letting his followers attack several herds to steal their food. One day, Omega had come to Wu to proclaim the human cub, but when Wu confirmed that he was already in the Man Village, Omega continued to pester Wu. Wu knew that Omega sought to cause a war between the other packs and the army he had gathered, Wu knew that this would bring great chaos to the jungle and cause the men to completely overrun it.
· Lloyd wanted to help his brothers with the problem with Omega, but they insisted that he forget about it and focus on living peacefully in the village. Lloyd however knew that he would have no peace if the jungle had no peace either, and he knew from Garmadon that the hunters would not hesitate to invade the jungle even further if Omega continued to attack the humans' livestock. Lloyd had to find a solution and quickly, otherwise the entire jungle and even the village itself would fall into disgrace.

Dominions My Beloved
This is my attempt to share my love for the best grandest strategy game ever made with you Tumblr. Here it is in all its glory, that game your neighborhood autistic tgirl has over 2000 hours in.
Pictured above is my Pretender God
hollowed be her name, engaged in viscous combat with the nation of Bandar Log and their tiger riders.
In this game, you embody a Pretender God of your creation, a worshiped creature that seeks to defeat all other Pretenders and become the one true God or Pantokrator.
All gods worth anything have worshipers, so your Pretender heads a nation inspired by myth and legend. Everything from Zoroastrian inspired bird people, to a satanic twist on the inquisition, to Lovecraft, glamorous elf vikings, and beyond are represented here. One of the two Swedes who makes this game is a mythology professor. In my case, I chose to lord over the Ice Giants of Jotunheim. Fear my flag!
For we are protected by magic grandmas, giant werewolves, and little goblin men riding dogs! All rendered in awesome sprite work.
But back to Blatantly a Phallus, this is his description in game. Every unit, commander, and spell has some kind of description like this.
You may be wondering how an immobile statue even gets into combat with a bunch of tiger riders in an open field. The answer is teleportation magic, which when paired with a unit literally made of rocks like Phallus, creates a lot of trouble for Bandar Log. The downside is sitting in this random field preparing another teleportation ritual for a month (one turn) before she can get back to business.
Winning the fight is the easy part with a rock this hard. She just casted the "drop meteors on them" spell called Gifts From Heaven repeatedly while the tigers hopelessly wailed on her. That's what you're seeing in the first image, meteors landing "danger close" around Blatantly a Phallus. Its of note those 100+ damage numbers are extreme in Dominions. A regular human soldier is lucky to have more than 10 hit points! But that's because this is a war game. Dominions isn't about regular soldiers. Its about destroying each other with dubious magics! Remember those magic grandmas? Well I wasn't kidding. They're necromancer blood mages, and illusionists, who can turn your insides into outsides while they make you believe your teeth have been replaced with caterpillars.
It's a beautiful game, Dominions. This is its 6th iteration, and the same two people have been working on it since 2001. It oozes passion and history in a way I've not seen another game do. All 24 years of Dominions existence it has focused almost entirely on deepening its systems. More magic, more nations, more Pretenders, more choices for the player. It's so huge it can be incredibly daunting to new players. If this sounds like fun, don't let that deter you! There are games for all skill levels.
All of these images are from multiplayer btw. Dropping a statue with a shit eating grin called "Blatantly Not a Phallus" onto your enemy is a lot more fun when its another human being. The community is robust and very friendly.

Mowgli as a wolf
I've always wanted to see more of the wolves from the 1967s Jungle Book.
And so I put it appon myself to draw and make content with the wolves as the main subject. (Kaa is also usually featured there as well lol)
Raksha is a favourite of mine to draw.
However another idea I've taken too is to draw Mowgli as a wolf.
I've also come up with a short synopsis.
The last wish
On the way to the Man village Mowgli and Bagheera find ancient magic in the Bandar log ruins. Mowgli wishes to be a wolf and stay in the jungle. His wish is granted.
And here are some drawings to go with it.

The Jungle Book
I didn’t expect to like this book as much as I did. I mean, I wasn’t expecting anything really. I had seen the Disney movie, yet I wasn’t expecting it to be the same. Disney is known for retelling stories and the original ones tend to be sometimes a little bit darker or full of warnings, quite different from the sugar coded stories that the little mouse brings us. That being said, I can tell you that this is one situation where the story is loosely based on the characters of the book. Remember «I, Robot»? Where we are told different stories by the book about different robots, each at a different time and place; yet in the movie we are shown Sonny’s story…, remember that? Well, this is similar. It turns out Baloo is not as goofy and Kaa is not an antagonist, but an ally. It seems that there is some of the story of the movie based on the three tales of the book, but it is not the same. I am not dissing nor undermining the movie, I just wanted to clarify that it’s a different work. Unlike «Little Women» that remains very similar to the books.
Now, the reading of Kipling’s tales has been wonderful. He creates its own universe and, although it is set in India, it feels universal. I would go to say that what Asimov does for robotics, Kipling does for the fantasy jungle life. He establishes a world where there are laws to follow and one must abide to those laws. This brings a lot of consistency to the book, since there is a frame within which we can move, or the jungle people can move. We can submerge into the jungle as well as our characters and although Kipling doesn’t stop to depict every leaf, rock or flower; you can feel yourself as one of the jungle folks.
This Law is taught by Baloo to Mowgli, because he is in charge of teaching young cubs the rules they must follow and, we are told by the narrator, Mowgli even needs to learn more than the young wolves because he is a man’s cub. How did this man’s cub arrive among the Free People ―the wolves―? How does he survive his life in the jungle? What is his fate? This is all carefully narrated by Kipling within the book. However, the adventures of Mowgli are not the only ones.
The book is divided in seven chapters:
1. Mowgli’s Brothers: we read about Mowgli arriving to the jungle and how he became one of the pack.
2. Kaa’s Hunting: and adventure brought by the Bandar-log ―the Monkey Folk― to Mowgli, starring the python Kaa.
3. Tiger! Tiger!: another Mowgli story featuring Sheere Khan, the tiger.
4. The White Seal: Kotick’s journey, the white Seal’s journey.
5. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi: the story of a mongoose that finds himself domesticated.
6. Toomai of the Elephants: it’s all about the elephants
7. Her Majesty’s servants: a conversation among the animals of a regiment.
Each one of them ended by a poetic song that highlights an important moment in the story and not all of them about our beloved characters from the big screen: Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, Raksha, Kaa, etc. We follow the journey of Kotick, for example, the only white seal ever seen, who travels all the oceans to find a safe place for its people. We root for Rikkit-Tikki-Tavi in his fight with Nag and Nagaina to defend his family. And so on.
What I love the most about the book is that the author is very good at building a pact with the reader. What is plausible in this world. What can we do and what can’t we do. Also, these short stories are full of sentiment despite their length and show a sense of camaraderie and companionship reflected on its characters.
I don’t know if these are fables, but I can’t extract a moral teaching from the texts. Might be that I am not really good at it, but if you can tell me what they teach, I’ll be more than glad to listen. I also don’t believe this are children tales or readings. Starting with the language, with its archaic vocabulary, and ending with some scenes that I wouldn’t read to children. I think you need to have a certain maturity and knowledge or moral compass to differentiate fiction from reality. I don’t know if this ever was children literature or if the values have changed, but I think there are other readings better suited for young children.
Anyway, for me it was a fantastic read and I recommend it, as well as the edition. This is a Harper Design edition with illustrations by MinaLima and it has amazing drawings. It is all very interactive. I give it five stars.

the jungle Tarzan of the apes book
there were two babies,a strange little ape who was saved from a crazy gorilla and a man cub who was adopted by a pack of wolves after a lame tiger offed his parents. They lived two different lives
Mowgli was raised by wolves,a bear, a panther, and a python
Tarzan was raised by gorillas, is friends with elephants and lion cubs
one day during the dry season Mowgli got curious as to where the Elephants were going so he followed them with Bagheera stalking closely behind to make sure nothing happened to his little brother, Hathi and his heard marched along with Mowgli and Bagheera close behind them, then they saw the strangest thing a pale man cub riding atop a baby elephant
"What's the meaning of this Ma Tembo, why is there a man cub on Tantor's back?" The colonel asked looking as the pale man cub got off the calves back and jumped in, "Man Cub? Why that's little Tarzan, Kala's babe, He's great friends with little Tantor and Mabaya." She explained
Tarzan smelled an odd scent, he grabbed Tantor and Mabaya, they trumpeted in displeasure and followed begrudgingly, Tarzan climbed his friend and stood peering out to see a dark ape small like himself with only hair on his head with a big black cat above him watching curiously and with shock, the dark ape stalked forward coming into the water and they stared at each other
for Mowgli had never seen another man cub that wasn't in the man village and never so pale, He pushed the other man cub
and thus they began wrestling and learned each others names
Tarzan let Mowgli know he had a stalker in the trees, they climbed up to Bagheera, who said that he only followed along to look after the man cub
they played and talked till Bagheera, said it was time to go back
every migration time the two met up
Boloo taught the new man cub the laws of the jungle
Tarzan played with the wolf pups, laughed at Shere Khan and Tabaqui, and played with the bandar log
Mowgli played with Nuru and Sheeta, the young gorillas, and learned to read and write.
they also played with the new toys they found
Then they watched the man villagers
Then Mowgli was exlied to the man village where he occasionally got kidnapped by his friend, but was stopped by the villagers.
They weren't fond of Buldeo or some of the village children
Tarzan had to go back to his tribe but he promised to come back and visit
Tarzan wins dum-dum and Mowgli's got 3 girls and a boy after destroying the man village for trying to make his new human parents join his old human parents
