Oh I have a LOT. If you’re as insane about this ship as I am, you’ve probably read all of them but I’m still going to list them down anyway. So, in no particular order:

Whiny Little Pitch by petersgwen - this fic literally made me scream multiple times. everything by this author is chef’s kiss btw. Sports au like no other + exes to lovers

Apartment 305 by waddled - a literal serotonin boost monster of a fic that i’m sure most already know about . i love percy and annabeth’s relationship here, and their characterization. It’s got college romance, olympic athlete Percy, and pipabeth bffism at its finest.

Five Times Percy Jackson Cheated at School by lammermoorian - man this one I reread a lot. I just love it so much. Academic!Percy, domestic percabeth, and just a whole lot of charm

Honesty and Promise Me by Darkmagyk, lammermoorian - never thought I would enjoy punk!annabeth until this fic. it has unexpected pregnancy but it’s so well done! fwb to lovers!

For Real This Time by captainjackson, timelesslords - anything written by this pair is a must-read, but this is one of their best! roman!percy and divorced annabeth! the premise is so interesting and the setting even more so.

Murkiest Intentions by inkncoffee - i feel like this fic shows my age, but when i tell you it’s a classic! jurassic world au (it sounds crazy but it’s so good) i’ve been rereading this since high school and it still holds up

Would it really kill you (if we kissed) by greenconverses - i mean, who hasn’t read this and all the author’s works? but it’s a classic in the fandom and it’s a classic for a reason

The Old Guard au by ananbeth, blackjacktheboss - this series is so well-written with such a solid worldbuilding you have to binge it this instant go

Love me, won’t you by ananbeth, blackjacktheboss - modern romeo and juliet with greece as a backdrop? sign me tf up

the sun stands by petersgwen- if you want pain this is it this fic is pain in fanfiction form

That crosses the white sea by husborth - another well-written masterpiece with percabeth in college

Voice on the radio by PastyPirate - another fandom classic! this one has me giggling kicking my feet everytime i reread it. soulmate au! musician!percy! and friendship bracelets!

The Heart is a Muscle by thebackupkid - I feel like this one is so underrated, but it’s so good and so interesting and distinct! it’s got magic and adventure and fantasy! the worldbuilding again is so good!

Impossible Year by bananannabeth - another pain in fiction form. but this time it has a breakup trope, which destroys me so much I always need years before i want to reread this again. but it’s a masterpiece and you should experience it at least once in your life!!

Game, Set, Match by ananbeth, blackjacktheboss - if there’s a classic percabeth sports au, it’s this. and it has fwb too and it’s just too iconic

Stucco Hearts by ananbeth, writergirl8 - another fandom classic, but this time it’s a soulmate au! this is so so interesting and one of my favorite soulmate aus ever. the worldbuilding is so interesting. another case of it’s a classic for a reason!

Puck It by bipercabeth, jasonmclean - hockey au + friends w benefits. again, another fandom classic. unfortunately i think this was discontinued by the authors but it’s still too good not to read!

Broken glass, no reflection by ananbeth, flyingcrowbar - another (potentially) discontinued fic that I still think about now. it’s a pacific rim au and it’s so. goddamn. good. read it now !!

kiss me once cause you know i had a good night by herecomesthepun - this one is pure comedic fluff and if you need a serotonin boost you have to read it. workplace romance with a twist !

slow motion double vision in a rose blush by herecomesthepun - ooh this one is a high school fwb secret relationship au with a punk percy and a student council president annabeth so basically it’s a classic

and they were roommates by bipercabeth - friends to lovers + college percabeth like no other. another fandom classic

Never Shall We Die by captainjackson, timelesslords - this pirate au series is INSANE it’s crazy good the worldbuilding is amazing it makes me feral actually

Wreck my plan, that’s my man by seaweedbraens - everything by this author is so good they’re a fandom icon but this one in particular i think about daily (tho it’s ongoing)

How to Seduce an Earl by sinfulindulgence - this is hella spicy but it’s also so addicting? i blame bridgerton (this author does so much stuff w this vibe that u should check out too! i liked Revenge of the Duchess as well)

Night at the Museum by lammermoorian - it’s so niche and crazy and camp but also angsty and fluffy and you need to read it right this second ! i LOVE this one

faster than a hairpin trigger by medeaa - this one is the quintessential percabeth fwb college au TO ME. unfortunately it’s (potentially) discontinued, but it’s still one of my favorites.

watch me fall at your feet by maydayparade8123 - this is a really well-written friends to lovers fic that realt explored how confusing it is to fall in love with your best friend like,, it’s a classic but also it’s so real !! this author is a fandom icon but i think they deleted / orphaned their accounts on ff.net and ao3

hi!! SO random but I don't know other PJO blogs and I have hunted through AO3 to no avail — I'm looking for a Post-Tartarus Percabeth fic that I can only remember bits of. Percy and Annabeth start off together but are not coping well... there are some mature things (censoring in case you post) they do to cope unhealthily, eventually Annabeth breaks up with Percy, he once runs into her and someone she's dating while he's with Estelle, there's a big focus on therapy... any bells? tysm!

looking for a percabeth fic i was obsessed with in high school:

It was a mortal au where percy and annabeth were both at college in nyc, and it starts with annabeth on a run but she doesn't see a car coming and percy pulls her out of the way, saving her life. they had never met before that, and annabeth goes back to her apartment (she lives with piper and rachel (i think?) and rachel says percy was in her orientation group and helps annabeth find out what his major is. im pretty sure annabeth was turning in a paper super late and thats why she was running to begin with, and percy helps her find a shortcut and then they part ways.

annabeth then waits around where the marine biology classes are in hopes she'll run into him and she does, and they start to hang out after that.

i dont really remember the rest other than the last chapters are when they go on a beach trip with all their friends (the seven) and after some angst they finally admit their feelings for each other. i think they shared a bed in the cabin they stayed in as well, but i could be wrong.

if anyone recognizes this fic and remembers what it was called, PLEASE LET ME KNOW

Mortals: Your dad is the king of the sea?

Percy: I mean, yeah, kind of.

Mortals: (oh my gosh, little mermaid little mermaid) So, did you give up a life in your father’s kingdom so that you could be with Annabeth?

Percy: I— Yeah, I guess technically I did. I mean, it was more complicated than that, and it had more to do with immortality? but—

Mortals: (holy shit, little mermaid little mermaid littlemermaid) And was your relationship like forbidden?

Percy: Look, I know how this looks, but—

Mortals: . . .

Percy: Just, don’t tell my sister. She’s already obsessed with Moana. I would never live this down.

With the addition of:

Percy: When I saw her the first time I thought she was a princess.

Annabeth: *scoffing* You were delirious the first time you saw me.

Mortals: wat?

Annabeth: We found him half-dead on the edge of camp. I had to nurse him back to health.

Mortals: *envisioning Percy as a merman washing onto the shores of Annabeth’s summer camp because they still do not fully understand that Percy was not actually born half-fish*

Annabeth: It’s not like you were saying much of anything.

Percy: I couldn’t have answered those questions even if I wanted to and you know it.

Mortals: *misinterpreting everything* (oh my gosh he IS the little mermaid. An evil sea witch stole his voice and stranded him there to die from a broken heart and improper pudding consumption)

Bookstore

So I was reading THIS super cute fanfic by @bananannabeth​ and I kinda got inspired to try and come up with my own bookstore!AU (Because honestly I have a serious AU problem.)  But yeah, this came out short and sweet and I liked it!

Wandering through the aisles, Annabeth absentmindedly let her hand trace over the spines of a few books. She knew exactly where she was going. It was finally out. She had been waiting for the next book in her favorite series for over a year now. Sadly the author wasn’t the fastest writer, but none of that mattered any more. She had a fresh new book she could enjoy.

Walking to where she knew the new book would be displayed, she quickly scooped up a copy, eagerly looking at the cover of it and admiring the art. She could practically see her hands shaking with excitement.

She had been chatting with Piper late last night because she couldn’t sleep. While you may not have guessed it just by looking at her, she was a bit of a nerd for this particular series for sure.If her blog was anything to judge her by, at least. 

Normally she would have spent a little more time browsing the new books or andom aisles, but she couldn’t wait to read it.

Heading straight to the registers, she was practically bouncing in place as she set the book down on the counter.

“It finally came, eh? You’re later than I thought I’d see you.” The blonde man teased her, making her look away defiantly. 

“Shut up, Jason. I got held up in traffic.” She said while handing him her rewards card. Sure, maybe she spent a little too much time in this bookstore if she knew the cashier by name, and enough to casually joke with him. But sue her, she liked books.

Jason just laughed. “Let me know how it is. Oh, you get a free drink now, you’ve earned enough points.” he offered, handing her the second receipt that had printed. 

Taking it, Annabeth paused, looking at her book, It would be a rather long drive home… 

Turning around, she quickly made her way back across the bookstore towards where the little built in cafe was. 

Standing in line behind another girl, Annabeth let her eyes wander over the menu. Sure she had been there a few times before, but she usually just would stop by on her way home somewhere instead.

Eventually it was her turn and she approached the little counter. Still staring at the menu, she paused. “I’ll take uh… a medium… pumpkin spice latte.” She decided on finally, the white girl in her winning over as she handed him her coupon.

Her eyes lowered to the barista and and she paused, swallowing hard for a moment. He was cute. 

Sure she had seen him around before, but something about him was just working today. His slightly disheveled hair that had the faintest dusting of coffee grounds in it, the sleeves of his work uniform rolled up to his elbows as he leaned at the counter, and the smirk he wore that seemed slightly uncomfortable for some reason. 

“Sure. Annabeth, right?” The boy asked.

Nodding, Annabeth tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. He knew her name? Taking a deep breath, she reeled herself in. She was here to buy a book, not flirt with the cute barista. Her eyes may have wandered down to where a name wa- should be. Frowning slightly, she was mildly disappointed he didn’t seem to be wearing one. She really should know his name if she came in so often. 

“I said, you can take a seat if you like. I’ll bring it out to you.” Annabeth’s eyes widened as she realized he repeated himself. 

“Oh! Yeah, of course. Sorry.” She stammered, making her way over to one of the large comfy chairs near tables. Once she saw him turn around and start working on her drink, she dropped her head into her hands. 

Could she just like not be socially awkward for five minutes around a cute guy? She could practically hear Piper already laughing at her. Flirting was so much easier in the stories she read and the fanfiction she wrote. Lifting her head up, she glanced over to see him staring at her with an amused smile. Flushing red, she quickly opened her new book and busied herself with reading the intro as if she hadn’t just been freaking out. 

It had taken her a few passes to actually get the words to sink into her head, but soon enough she was getting lost in the world of her story.

Eventually she heard someone approaching, and reluctantly she lowered the book to see the barista approaching with her drink. “Here you go.”

Setting down the book, Annabeth took it and flashed him a smile. “Thank you.”

“I uh..” He paused, as he rubbed the back of his neck, clearly uncomfortable. “Lance… is interesting. I’m really wondering if he gets the sword.”

Annabeth paused as it dawned on her that she was talking about her series. But that was way back in the first book.

“You’re reading this series too?” She asked, doing her best to reign in her fangirl. She didn’t need to scare off a potential new friend because she way too excited. 

He glanced away, that blush creeping up his neck as she saw it turn his tanned skin rosey. 

“I’m trying it. Yeah. I kinda noticed you always reading it when you come in and I got curious. Jason told me which one it was…” He mumbled. “Sorry… that’s weird. I just uh… I’ll go.”

He muttered as he turned to head back.

It had taken a few moments for Annabeth to stop reeling from the fact that the cute guy she had been crushing on had actually been checking her out. “No, wait!” She said suddenly, making him flinch before he turned back around. 

“I’m glad you’re enjoying the series. It’s my favorite. If you ever have any questions or anything… uh feel free to ask me. I’m usually in here so… just. Yeah.”

Annabeth said, really wishing she knew how to end statements stronger when talking to a cute boy. She started to weigh the pros and cons of asking Piper for help, while also dealing with what would be endless teasing.

He nodded to her. “I will. Thanks. Enjoy.” He said after a moment before heading back to the counter. 

Annabeth may have stayed a little longer than normal that day, and may or may not have caught him glancing over at her a few times. She may or may not have been caught glancing over at him too. 

The next time she came into the store, she would admit she was a little disappointed not to see him at the counter. At least until she saw him on break at one of the nearby tables, reading the first book in the series. Welling up all the courage Piper had given her, she had managed to successfully fumble through an awkward request to sit next to him while she read. 

If their conversation had shifted from the series to each other at some point, Annabeth wasn’t exactly complaining. Nor did she complain when she entered his phone number into her phone when she was leaving the store later that day either.

fic rec! 34K Percabeth one-shot. Aka not for mobile reading. You don’t want to cry on the train anyway.

Summary: Scared of being too codependent and hurting in ways she doesn't want Percy to see, Annabeth makes the painful decision to take a break – a choice which impacts Percy, all of their friends and herself in ways she never imagined.

Comments: I...have too much to say about this fic, maybe. I actually read it a bit, before I started HoH in my reread (so, mid last week?), but it wasn’t something I couldn’t read and not share. And it’s also very much encouraged me to start up my own recovery PJO fic (*stares at the 2.5K and growing monster). 

This fic covers the year that Percy and Annabeth aren’t a couple. It’s all Annabeth’s point of you, but I got enough hints to piece together my own version of Percy’s events, and Annabeth’s choice isn’t without it’s consequences. 

The breakup, which is gentle, they don’t hate each other, ripples through the group. Not everyone understands. Some people take sides. And Percy and Annabeth start to operate in different spheres. Annabeth gets camp, Percy gets NYC. They both hate it and need it.

There’s a ton of small moments in here that broke me. Annabeth going off the deep end at the anniversary of the Fall, and brokenly reaching out to Nico to apologize for the fact he had to do it alone. Sally inviting Annabeth to dinner, not at the apartment but for a girl’s night out. Percy, to some extent, holding onto a lot of anger at Annabeth for her choice but still abiding by it. The two of them buying gifts for one another, and then just holding on to them.

This fic starts with a crash and ends with a crash, and it’s the space between it that really does yawn like a whole year that sucks you into the story. You feel every worry, from Annabeth, from Piper, from Grover, and you can’t help but sigh in relief when the year is over.
