"Why are you hugging me?" Her arms wrapped around his waist on their own volition. She was tired, hungry, and annoyed at how yesterday's arrest had gone down.

"Because I'm glad you're not seriously hurt." He gazed down at her, a small smile playing on his lips. "Other than your massively bruised ego, of course."

She harrumphed, and reluctantly stepped out of his embrace.

How many works do you have on AO3? 184 (lots and lots of oneshots)

What’s your total word count on AO3? 685,746

What fandoms do you write for? ER, Law and Order SVU, and The Resident are my main fandoms! But I've also written for New Amsterdam, Glee, 9-1-1, and The Princess Diaries movies.

Top five fics by kudos? It's Always Better When We're Together, What Are You Doing New Year's Eve, These Things Between Us, The Only One I Run To, A Sweet Surprise

Do you respond to comments? Yes, I try my best to respond to all comments I get. If I’ve ever forgotten to answer anyone, I apologize. I love comments and answering them!

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I love happy endings mostly, but I would probably say While I Was Watching, You Did a Slow Dissolve because of the uncertainty Olivia still ends up facing with how to get over hers and Elliot's almost kiss.

What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? There's a lot of them after 180+ fics, but I would definitely say the end of It's Always Better When We're Together since Olivia is with Elliot romantically and realizes she wouldn't want her life any other way. Or the ending of I Promise You I Will Learn From My Mistakes when Coburn reconciles with her daughter once and for all and they commit to a new beginning as a family.

Do you get hate on fics? It's very rare, but someone once bookmarked It's Always Better When We're Together and left a rude comment, and someone trolled one of my other EO fics. If you're going to leave a rude bookmark comment, at least do it privately. I was worried about writing a couple of ER fics where I wrote Abby as childfree, but nothing came of that.

Do you write smut? I do not.

Craziest crossover? I don't really write crossovers, and the ones I did write were just kind of tame, like characters in one universe bonding with characters in another over common life stories. (Check out Common Threads or It Feels Normal if you're curious.)

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Thankfully no!

Have you ever had a fic translated? No, but I have had some commenters leave me comments in other languages that I put through Google Translate, and that's always a nice treat.

Have you ever co-written a fic? Yes, only once.

All-time favorite ship? Mark/Elizabeth from ER. My first OTP and I still hold them close!

What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I have so many ideas that I have gone through and abandoned, mostly oneshots. But I do keep meaning to write the last chapter of A Very Sharpwin Christmas and just never get around to it.

What are your writing strengths? Writing emotional conversations, writing family relationships

What are your writing weaknesses? Feeling insecure about my stats, not thinking the plot through, getting too caught up in details sometimes

Thoughts on dialogue in another language? No comment.

1. Were you named after anyone?

Yes; my great grandmother, my great aunt, my grandmother, my mother, and my great grandmother���s sister. My writing pseudonym is also an ode to three of those women and my other great grandmother.

2. When was the last time you cried?

A few days ago, standing outside the house my grandparents built. It’s very loved now and it shows and that made me cry happy tears.

3. Do you have kids?

No, and I never will. I have 3 nieces and a nephew that I love completely.

4. Do you use sarcasm?

Only to reiterate a point when someone is being ridiculous. Mostly, my work requires me to be earnest and straightforward.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Their demeanour; if they seem kind, warm, welcoming or the opposite.

6. What’s your eye colour?

Light blue

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

I like both. My preference changes depending on the time of year, usually.

8. Any special talents?

I can make a lot of strange noises with my mouth and I have a wicked memory. I can recite all 50 states in alphabetical order, even though I’m Canadian and have never needed to know them all.

9. Where were you born?

Southern Ontario, Canada

10. What are your hobbies?

Right now I’m really into reading and being outside - hiking, swimming, camping, tending to my vegetable garden, driving. In colder months, I like to write, play music, watch shows, etc.

11. Have any pets?

Yes: 4 cats, 2 rabbits, and 1 foster rabbit who is currently living on the farm again.

12. What sports do you/have you played?

I was a ballerina for many years. I also really liked riding horses for a time and cross country running. Everything else was a fleeting interest - I’m not into team sports and I break easily.

13. How tall are you?

5 ft 8.5 in., which translates to about 175 cm.

14. Favourite subject in school?

I loved anything with words in elementary school. The Writer’s Craft was my favourite course in high school. In college, I really enjoyed The Art and Structure of Film.

15. Dream job?

You know that spot in the opening credits of shows where it says “Created By”? I want my name to go there. Or in that long list of Executive Producers. Or just anywhere in the collection of people who work in the writer’s room. Script Supervisor would also make me happy. Anything where I’m getting to write with other people, telling stories, and making enough money to have a quality of life that involves adventure and travel. I love being on set, too, but those hours…

Fic prompt: blue Gatorade

rey watches poe run off the field, his hair sweaty after being shoved under his football helmet for the better part of two hours. she can’t stop the grin that forms on her face when he scans the bleachers and sees her, a matching smile transforming his face. 

she waves shyly, not expecting him to come over right away - after all, he’s just made the championship winning play and his teammates are all jostling to congratulate him. 

but poe ignores them and runs straight for her, discarding his helmet somewhere along the way. 

“hey,” he grins, breathless, stopping on the bleacher right below rey’s. she looks down at him, startled by his sudden presence and does the only thing she can think to do. 

she dumps her half-full blue gatorade on his head. 

rey’s hands come up to cover her mouth and poe splutters, shaking his soaked curls in a passable imitation of bb after being caught in a rainstorm. 

“wha-?” he starts, only for rey to cut him off.

“i’m sorry!! it’s just - in movies, when a team wins, they dump - gatorade on the -” she trails off, narrowing her eyes at poe’s gasping laughter. 

she crosses her arms across her chest - embarrassed - and poe reaches up to grab one of her hands. “sunshine, the team usually dumps gatorade on the coach’s head,” he’ grinning, drops of blue liquid rolling down his cheeks. 

“oh,” rey mumbles. 

poe jumps up one bleacher step and presses a quick kiss to her lips. he tastes like blue gatorade and home.
