Africando is my favourite Salsa band, maybe because I’m a biased African but they are essentially made of Senegalese singers mainly, with musicians from New York. This song is the Salsa version of one of my favourite Rai songs ever, ‘Aïcha’, by Algerian singer Khaled, which I’ve already shared on this blog.

It is sung in French, but they do have songs in Spanish, Wolof, Yoruba, etc. C’est un extrait de l’album ‘Baloba!’ sorti en 1998, et j’aime beaucoup.

This impressive Ginkgo Tree sits nestled between the walls of the Gu Guanyin Buddhist Temple in the Zhongnan Mountains in China. Every autumn, this 1,400-year-old-tree converts its green leaves into vibrant, bright yellow ones leaving a blanket of the golden heap on the temple’s grounds attracting drawing tourists from nearby surrounding areas. Sadly, this tree is only one of a few left.
