Happy Independence Day! It's been a great 4th in Newport, California hanging out on Balboa Island! I figured out the Trolley system which is fun and money saving for this Single mom. So we spent time at the Mariner Park. I'm so glad my girls got the guts to ride the Iconic @balboaferriswheel which was built in the 80's. Seen parts of the awesome boat parade from the top and the amazing view! Walked the pier so we could do the famous @rubysdiner roof Top for lunch. Girls did the Arcade and some shopping. I'm so thankful for the Freedom to make my own choices. Thankful for those who forgive. Grateful that my hard work is paying off even if I don't see it everyday. More importantly today... Knowing I live in a country that allows females to make choice for their own good. The Balboa Fun Zone ferris wheel has been standing since 1936 (a special year 🚢). Its been moved once...maybe twice. And amidst COVID-19, it still stands as colorful and as welcoming as before all this took place. It's a reminder to me that a crisis like this can't keep a good wheel down. Spin on in the silver linings of our hearts, fabled ferris wheel. Also, hot dogs are...a staple of American...and German...heritage. And this restaurant's flag waves strong in this Fun Zone favored tradition. So, fight on fighter! Philippians 4:8.
