Here's a simple sugar cookie dough recipe that can be used to make decorated cookies or just cookies to snack on.
I love to use this when making all different shapes during the holidays as well as just making them as snacks.
Recipe:
8 oz Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
Chill for at least half an hour, knead the dough once it’s near room temperature. This will give you smooth cookies and an even bake.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Baking time may vary on your oven.
The amount of cookies vary in size and thickness.
This recipe can make anywhere from 2 dozen to 5 dozen.

My first attempt at making conchas, a Mexican sweet bread. The frosting on top, a thick paste which is rolled out and cut, is supposed to be shaped like seashells, hence the bread's name. But I don't have a seashell-shaped cookie cutter, so I just made thin lines in the paste with a knife. And yes, I'm aware they came out looking nothing like seashells, but they're still delicious (I'm eating one right now). :) Conchas For the Conchas: 3 t. yeast 1/2 cup warm water 1/2 cup warm milk 1/2 cup sugar 1 t. salt 1 egg 1/3 cup butter, softened 3 1/2 cups flour For the Paste: 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup shortening 1/2 cup flour 1/4 t. vanilla extract 1/4 t. almond extract Food coloring (optional) In a mixing bowl, combine the yeast and water. Add the milk and sugar and mix well. Add the salt, egg, and butter and mix well. Add 2 cups of flour, stir to combine, then add and stir in the rest until all the flour is incorporated. Once the dough comes together and holds its shape, place it in a greased bowl, turning a few times to coat. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for about an hour and a half, or until it’s doubled in size. While the dough rises, make the paste. Cream the sugar and shortening together. Add the flour and mix to combine. Add the vanilla and almond extracts and mix until everything comes together. If desired, add food coloring. Wrap the paste in plastic wrap and set aside. Once the dough has risen, remove it from the bowl and shape into whatever-sized discs you like. Place them on a cookie sheet and let them rise for 40 minutes. Meanwhile, roll out the paste, use a knife to cut it into seashell shapes/ Place the shapes on the buns and let them rise another 40 minutes. On the 4th day before Christmas my oven didn't bake, instead we are deep frying some hot chocolate beignets. These little doughnut like treats were inspired by the ones they offer at the Disneyland resort during the holiday season. I gave mine a twist and decided to make them extra chocolatey by adding cocoa powder and hot chocolate to the dough. The ones at the park are the traditional treat sprinkled with hot cocoa and served with hot chocolate sauce and whipped cream. | Recipe | 2 1/4 tsp Yeast 3 Tbsp Water (100º - 110º) 3/4 Cup Milk (add hot chocolate) 1/4 Cup Sugar 1 tsp Salt 1/4 Cup Butter 1 Egg (I accidentally left this out, gives a more dense beignet) 3 Cups Flour 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder Combine ingredients, allow dough to proof for an hour or until double in size. Deep fry in oil until they expand, 2 - 3 minutes.

Happy Mothers Day! This cake pop recipe is inspired by the cake pops offered at the Disneyland Resort. They are usually offered during valentines day but I thought these would also be cute for mothers day or fathers day or even if you want to gift edible flowers instead of real ones. You can always use black candy melts and make them for Halloween :D | Recipe | 6 oz Butter 2 Cups Sugar 3 Eggs 2 Cups Flour 3/4 Cup Cocoa Powder 1 tsp Baking Soda 3/4 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1 1/2 Cup Milk 2 tsp Vanilla Extract Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. I baked mine in a 1/4 sheet pan. • Chocolate Buttercream 6 oz Butter 4 Cups Powdered Sugar 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder Pinch Salt 1/3 Cup Heavy Cream // Milk 2 tsp Vanilla Extract • Sour Belt candy • Red and Green candy melts for decorating • Lollipop sticks or paper straws • This recipe made about 2 dozen 2 inch roses

I'm sharing a different vanilla cake recipe (it’s my go to) in this video and I’m also using different food gels. It’s a six layered pastel rainbow cake with a tricolor ombré frosting. I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you for six years of support! ♡ First Upload • https://youtu.be/Mk1JrqCCJ3Q | Recipe | • Vanilla Cake 6 oz Butter 3 Eggs 2 1/2 Cup Flour 2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 1/4 Cup Milk Bake at 350º for about 20 - 25 minutes • Vanilla Buttercream 6 oz Butter 6 - 8 Cups Powdered Sugar 1/4 Cup Milk or Heavy Whipping Cream 2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract (can be substituted with other flavors) I used Americolor food gel to dye my batter and buttercream and a Wilton 2D tip for decorating the rosettes.

On the 5th day before Christmas my oven baked for me these Twice Upon a Cupcake from Walt Disney World! There’s a few steps to this cupcake but cutting it open was so satisfying and worth the time. A little cheat you can do is make two batches of vanilla cake batter, take 1 cup of the batter for the funfetti cones and a cup and a half for the red velvet, just add a 1/4 cup of cocoa powder and red food dye. You can also use the light bulb candies for decoration but I decided to pipe mine on so I dyed some frosting blue, yellow, red. | Recipes | • Vanilla Cake Batter 6 oz Butter 3 Eggs 2 1/2 Cup Flour 2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 1/4 Cup Milk • Red Velvet 2 2/3 Cups Flour 2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder 1 tsp Baking Soda 1/2 tsp Salt 4 oz Butter 1 1/2 Cup Sugar 2 Eggs 1 Cup Vegetable Oil 1 tsp Vinegar 2 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 Cup Buttermilk 1 tsp Red Food Gel • Buttercream 8 oz Butter 6 - 8 Cups Powdered Sugar 1/4 Cup Heavy Cream 2 tsp Vanilla Extract Bake at 350º baking times will vary on each component. 20 - 25 minutes for most.

On the 10th day before Christmas my oven didn't bake, instead we made some marshmallow wands! These are inspired by the treats offered at the Disneyland resort during the holiday season. These are so simple and fun to make and are delicious with the soft ganache. These are also best when chilled in the freezer for 5 - 10 minutes before enjoying them. 14 oz Bag Caramel Squares 11.5 oz Bag Milk Chocolate Chips 12 oz Bag Marshmallows 9 oz / 60 count Box Mini Candy Canes 6" Lollipop Sticks 1/4 Cup Heavy Cream (for chocolate chips) You can always just use chocolate melting wafers instead of the ganache, I don't recommend candy melts due to that not being real chocolate.
