Baguio : The "Coolest" Place in the Philippines.
Baguio, elevating 1,500m above sea level, at an elevation this high, you will definitely feel the breeze gliding on your skin making your shiver.
Many of us has been to Baguio for at least one point in our lives, and for me, I mean, my 10-year-old me, it was my first time.
After knowing that we will go to Baguio for summer, I was excited, because all of the things I have hear about this place was, “sobrang lamig dito, parang ayoko na umuwi”. So the little me cant wait to find out what’s really there, if its really “malamig” or its just a placebo effect that if you are in baguio you’re the one of the coolest person in the country, literally.
So, the time has come and it’s the day that we go the city, I woke up at 2 am, bags already packed, heck I even slept with my clothes that I will wear for tomorrow beside my bed. I was really excited, to come and see the beautiful views of mines view, the elegant, and the classy “The Mansion”, and of course the popular night market at the Harrison Road just shy of Session Road. It is a place where both kids and adults will be happy whatever the city offer. The rental bikes you can rent with your family and friends, the swans on the pond, and the horses that you can ride. For me, the moment I stepped out of the bus it was the horses that greeted me a welcome to their beloved city, I was so happy, probably because that was my first time seeing an actual horse in flesh. Happy and excited, the little me was running out of joy at the park yelling, but of course only in my mind “sa Wakas naka rating na din ako sa baguio”. After an hour of exploring and appreciating the beauty of the city we finally went to our transient and that’s when it all sunk in, “damn, Ill literally be in this city for a week, that’s so cool”. Little me was so excited thinking what are the many things that my family and I will do for tomorrow, lying down on my bed, thinking, just thinking, until my eyes unconsciously closed, and I fell asleep. The next time I opened my eyes, its morning my family and relatives were already packing and getting ready for the first day of our tour, after I saw them, I quickly stood up and took a bath, even though it’s so cold as a Pinoy-cultured kid, I. have. To. Take. A. Bath
Our first stop, Minesview Park, this place is unreal, the views on the Observation deck is breath-taking, while looking at the superb view I ate a delicacy called “sundot kulangot” in Tagalog, it literally means picking a booger from the inside of your nose. Ew, but as much as it sounds disgusting the taste of this food was so sweet and yummy, I really enjoyed eating the sweet candy while looking at the sweetest view in the whole city.
I won’t be telling the whole tour in detail because it would take days for me to express it, like, 1 day for a day in Baguio? That would be insane!
There I also a day where we visited The Mansion, and since its only a walking-distance from our transient, you guessed it, we walked, inside the vicinity, a lot of people walking, some are towards the mansion, and some away, and in the middle of them, is a body of water and is probably a man-made river this sets a cool ambiance to the place that helps The Mansion be more elegant and dreamy.
Last day was different, I mean commonly last day is the day where you so called “sulit” your time because those are the very last minutes of your tour, but us, we just stayed in our transient, rested, but for me, it was sort of experiencing to actually live in baguio, because of course the locals don’t tour everyday so this final day for us was like, how does it feel to be a baguio local-resident? Is it more relaxing than living in the suburbs of manila? So, in our last day we lived like locals and stayed in our house, watching tv, chilling near the chimney, and me, as a “videogame-addict” I went outside with my dad and looked for a computer shop nearby. And we found one, so I rented 1 hour to play, and this was one of the times that I said to myself “gusto ko tumira dito”. To experience living in a place much more cooler than manila is different, like everything is different. The air is so much fresher and cooler. But sadly, we had to leave the city and go back to reality.
For me, that tour was very fun and memorable, I mean its my first time right? First for me is always the most memorable. And although I love Baguio so much, I just cant forget the place where I lived and grew up, yes other places might be cooler, and more beautiful, the place where we grew up always has a special place in our hearts, and that’s the reason it’s called “HOME” there’s nothing like it, as much as Baguio is relaxing, the feeling of resting in your own home is unbeatable, that’s when you feel that you are really resting.
I won’t forget Baguio, it still probably one of my favourite places that I visited. But as much as I love home, I can’t wait to go back, and I will go back to… Baguio: The “Coolest Place in the Philippines.

The City of Pine🌲
EP 2 🎬
My family thought of travelling from Pangasinan to Baguio to rest while we were on our way home (Calamba). while we were on Kennon road, my sister shared her creepy moments that she experienced herself on the road we were traveling. As we got closer to our destination, I became more excited because I hadn't gone to Baguio since I was 7 years old. Baguio City, often known as the "City of Pines," is a fantastic spot to visit at night. As you go around the city, the city changes into a spectacular show of lights, and the air grows colder.
When we arrived, we immediately ate dinner and catches up with old friends. After we ate, we went for a walk down Session Road, and as we continued walking, I could feel the chill of Baguio City on my cheeks. Baguio is also known for its lively night market, which sells a broad variety of unique souvenirs. Hundreds of stores, commonly known as "ukay-ukay," can be found at the Baguio Night Market. There are several goods you can buy at Baguio Night Market, which never fails to draw shoppers and tourists. Bags, footwear, apparel, jewelry, kitchenware, and digital accessories are all available.
hungry? No problem, after spending hours shopping at the Baguio Night Market, your stomach will growl and you will be hungry. There are plenty of food booths in this area, so don't be worried. They offer burgers, barbeques, cool beverages, mami & lugaw, and Korean street foods, which I enjoy. After all that walking, you deserve some nice meal. After eating and shopping at the night market, we rested and enjoyed the remaining hours before we go home. Visiting the Baguio night market is more than simply buying and dining; it's an all-around sensory experience. 6 hours is ample time to enjoy the entire nighttime shopping experience while relishing the cool mountain the breeze. therefore, seeing this location is a must during your trip to Baguio. I swear I'll return to this Baguio Night Market for a good find and nightlife. After our night trip, the Baguio Night Market became one of my favorite tourist sites in the Philippines' summer capital. Overall, having a beautiful nightlife in Baguio City was a tremendous experience for me. I've had a nice night walking tour, and my eyes are loaded with many different kinds of things.

Trip to Bolinao, Pangasinan
We were asked to choose between Baguio and Bolinao. Without searching where Bolinao, Pangasinan is, we answered, "Let's go to Bolinao.". We've never been there. The only place we frequent in Pangasinan is Our Lady of Manaoag.
We attended mass at Our Lady of Manaoag and then went to Bolinao. I checked the Waze App and was shocked to see that we still had to drive for 4 hours before we arrived at our hotel. Okay, so we chose Bolinao because we thought it was closer than Baguio. The jokes on us, it was way way farther.
But since we are here already, let's get going.
On our way, we passed by Doña Nora to have lunch. There was no other customer but us. They ordered and we waited for more than 30 minutes before our orders arrived. Take note, we are the only customers at that time. But, the food is worth the wait. We ordered a bit too much, but it's a good thing that we can have it for takeaway.
After a very long drive, we arrived at our hotel, Casa Almarenzo.
Casa Almarenzo. Cutie swan towels making a heart.
We just changed and went out again.
Our first stop was Enchanted Cave.
Enchanted Cave, Bolinao, Pangasinan
We arrived a little bit before 4 p.m. The Enchanted Cave closes at 5 p.m. We were not able to tour around the property and went directly to the cave. The cave was a mixture of salt water and fresh water. How is it possible? I don't know either. Before you enter, you will be given a life jacket and a hard hat. Life jacket, since the depth of water inside the cave is unpredictable. The hard hat is needed while you are entering the cave, especially if you are tall. It will really protect your head. The steps of the stairs are narrow and wet, so make sure to look where you are stepping. Remember, the hard hat will protect your head. You will surely bump your head once or twice. The water is cold and refreshing. But if there are too many people, I don't think the water would still be refreshing at all. haha!
On our way out, we bought some refreshments. The stalls close at 5 p.m. as well.
Our next stop, Patar, Beach.
Patar Beach
We paid an entrance fee for this as well. You can rent a cottage or tables once you enter. I think the cottages can be rented for the whole day. You can bring a packed lunch, and you can cook also.
Patar Beach (sunset)
This beach is known for it's beautiful sunset. You can watch the sun as it goes down while listening to the laughter and chatter of people around you. It is very relaxing.
Patar Beach (timelapse)
We went home after that and had a good rest.
Day 2 at Bolinao
I am so happy to witness the sunrise on our second day here in Bolinao.
Sunrise in Bolinao
I don't know how many photos and videos of sunsets and sunrises I have on my phone, but it is always so beautiful to watch. I will definitely wake up early just to witness this beauty.
It was low tide, so we decided to take a walk. We found different sea creatures we hadn't seen before.
Casa Almarenzo, Bolinao, Pangasinan
Please make sure that you are wearing your aqua shoes or slippers if you decide to take a walk on the beach. There are sea urchins, and you may not notice them at first. Better safe than sorry.
For Day 2, we only have one place to go to since the travel from Bolinao to Manila is almost 7 hours.
We went to this beautiful waterfall.
There were three waterfalls but we chose this one.
You can rent a balsa, a boat made of kawayan, and the locals will accompany you to the falls. The water is so cold. Super cold. But it is magnificent. If only we could stay here a bit longer.
Our stay in Bolinao is very short. You may opt to stay here for 3 days and 2 nights. So that your long drive will be worth it. But overall, we don't regret coming to this place. It is very far from the city but it is definitely very relaxing.
Will I go back again? Of course, I will. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

2023 recap
studies: did not make much progress with my thesis. in april i got accepted to a post-disaster heritage restoration workshop in bosnia-herzegovina but turned it down despite a scholarship offer. applied to a youth heritage conference in saudi arabia but didn't get it.
home: in june, my best friend jerome moved in with me. i now have all the furniture that i think i need and i am happy with the way my place looks. i inherited a few things from my dad, some from prisa who when i was sad took me to their abandoned ancestral house in san juan and told me to pick out anything i want.
finances: i did okay. spent too much upon getting home from marinduque. also spent too much on transportation but i've been taking the commute and walking and walking and walking a lot lately. invested a good chunk of my money in a family friend's business - it feels right to be less liquid since the depleted amount in my bank accounts motivates me to be less thrifty.
advocacy: started volunteering as a docent at the ateneo art gallery in july. gave a lot of tours and helped out at various exhibitions from july to september, although there were less opportunities when the school year started due to the surplus of interns. i volunteered at an archival effort on the labor movement.
health: if memory serves, i didn't get sick this year. mental health took a deep dive in september courtesy of all the grief. somewhat better now. physically i have never been stronger.
work: led a successful project in marinduque from january to june. briefly dipped my toes in tech from july to september. gave a cultural mapping training in naga in august. pretty much made the de-facto head of my ngo (aside from training & development head and corporate treasurer, haha). interviewed a ton of people while assembling my team for upcoming projects. acquired contract for san pedro last month and currently working on the project proposal.
reading: neglected reading in q2 and q3 of the year. crammed a lot in q4 to make it to the 50-book mark. been reading a lot of manga lately - reread of nana and just hours earlier finished dance dance danseur. standouts this year: tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow by gabriella zevin; the sympathizer by viet thanh nguyen; raise high the roofbeam, carpenters and seymour: an introduction and nine stories both by salinger. wish i read more non-fiction.
travel: spent a week in zambales in february. work in marinduque from february to june. work in naga in august. mindanao backpacking trip in september. two days in fukuoka in october. heading up to baguio for new years' with my family.
relationships: broke up with [redacted1] in january. started dating [redacted2] in april, dumped him in july. started dating [redacted3] in august, dumped him in october. two hook-ups along the way. none of these will leave a scratch save for my relationship with [redacted1].
family: my father died in september, cutting my mindanao trip in half. he converted to islam, apparently, and i had to go home immediately. saw my family from that side for the first time in a decade. i missed them. my uncle, my mom's brother, died three weeks later. on good terms with my brother now (after all that tragedy it was inevitable). should make more effort to spend time with my family. i love them and no one else understands all the shit that makes me who i am.
hobbies: took art classes in january but dropped it. should pick that back up again. started bouldering in june. around the same time i also started cooking more. picked up the piano again in september. yoga and pilates in october. i feel like the latter suits me and my needs better, so decided to focus on that. started making video games again this december.
music: a lot of kanye. didn't like the new bad bunny album that much. my love mine all mine by mitski has been stuck on repeat. had the recording of hadestown on repeat when i first started dating P. listened to a lot of rachmaninoff, liszt.
friendships: grateful that i have become much closer to prisa and miyuki this year. living with jerome has mostly been easy. didn't feel all that connected to jorou this year, but he knew exactly what to do during that first wave of grief. i love hya and kat and joel too.

NEW YEAR IN BONTOC SAGADA 2023
Do you know this place? This is one of the places in baguio we went to celebrate the new year.We stayed in Sagada for three days to see the beauty of this place.First we went to where we were going to stay. The first thing we went to was the cherry blossom in Atok Benguet we were able to see different types of plants and flowers and we also took beautiful photos after this, we hired a two tourist guide who will take care of us to visit the various sights here. The next day, early in the morning, we left to go hiking, it took us almost an hour more to climb Sagada Mountain after that, we took a little break to change our clothes because it was so cold there it reached 23 celsius, next we went with our tourist guide was caving which was a lot of fun because of the joy and fear of walking the big rocks while we were entering the cave, the tourist showed us the importance of the place there, we learned a lot and got to know more about the different types of rocks after that, the tourist showed us the importance of the place there, we learned a lot and got to know more about the different types of rocks after the exhausting tour of that place, after that we went to the hangin coffin to see why the coffin was hanging on the big stones, we felt fear but it became clear to us why the history is like this because of the stories of our accompanying tourist guide we went home to celebrate the new year with each other. When January 1 came, we went to the hill where Apo Whang Ood lives to sign his tattoo and to see him. Unfortunately, it rained heavily and we were going up the hill and suddenly the police stopped us to let us know that we could be stranded at the height due to the landslide, so we decided not to continue and return only on the chin to our safety after all we were happy because of our unwind up here and we had a lot of experience that's why we were full of smiles while going home

How Did It All Start?
We both work in the government.
In the same agency.
In the same Bureau.
In the same project.
She, however, is in Baguio, while I am in Cebu.
We both started our career and stint in the agency in 2018. We were Job Order (JO) workers then. And we got our regular positions all at the same time in 2021. I am an IT Officer. She is an Engineer.
But discovering all these information just came in late, as we've known each other as acquaintances since time immemorial. Perhaps we've known each other by name, but for all those events that happened involving us, we never came into hi-hello terms.
We were, in other words, strangers but colleagues.
Then, October 2022 happened. The Global Blockchain Summit in Bataan happened.
As Luzon focals, they were asked to attend the event. I, as someone coming from the Visayas, was not originally invited but our boss in the region insisted that I should come with him, as a matter of sitting down and planning with an organization that is in charge for an event that we would be co-hosting the month that followed.
During that time, I was really alone, or felt really alone. Although thanks to Japs, from the Central Office, who was mingling with me when vacant, but most of the time, as one of the organizers, he had to leave to fulfill his duties.
As the only one coming from VisMin, I felt really isolated. My boss was also together with his fellow regional directors near the stage of the venue, so I was left (and had to be left) behind.
During the Governor's Night held at The Bunker in Balanga, I was calmly sitting in one of the tables when a group of strong independent women approached my table and, to their surprise that it was me, greeted me, "Sir Mango! Ikaw pala yan!"
Really felt they saw a celebrity that came into form. Just kidding.
We had a lot of chitchats, introductions of each other, but one person really caught my attention.
She was simple, silent, unbothered. When I saw her, I felt that I already knew her. There I confirmed her name, which I've been reading unconsciously during our meetings.
She is Strawberry.
One of our conversations was, "Meron nang flight Cebu-Baguio, kanina lang."
Indeed, this fresh news came earlier that day, where PAL will already service flights between Mactan Cebu International Airport and Loakan Airport.
I didn't think of it at first, but was that a sign for the universe to connect us? Really, on that very same night where we first conversed was that very same day where a Cebu-Baguio flight was birthed?
Further, I was eavesdropping the table's conversation and it seemed they were talking about engineering. She then said to one of her colleagues, that her ex took the same engineering major.
Aha. Ex. I have a chance.
Later that evening, when everyone seemed to be bored, the group decided to find a bar where we could sip some drinks. This is the first time we walked together, although in a group.
We found ourselves coming back to the hotel as all stores and bars seemed close, but one thing was for sure, I couldn't take my eyes off her. I wasn't feeling anything romantically, really, but my sight would always be on her especially when she was left walking behind.
This was the very first time I handed her Mango Balls from Cebu.
Another day passed and one afternoon we were given a free trip to Las Casas Filipinas De Acuzar. It was very romantic, and okay, scary at the same time.
Together with my boss and another boss from Zamboanga, we were given a free tour with a tour guide, and to be honest, I didn't like the fact that we were separated as groups. I just wanted to catch a glimpse of her.
Was she my crush already? I wasn't really sure.
But she really caught my attention.
Moreso when the last dinner with the Mayor/Vice-Mayor happened in the same venue of The Bunker, we were seated beside each other. (Side note: I came to the venue earlier and I was really waiting for their group to arrive and I'd been transferring table to table just to catch them). And I would notice she would always tap me to ask some questions or converse over some matters.
Her taps, touches, perhaps triggered my love language: physical touch.
The day that followed was quite painful. Because I wanted to see her and bid goodbye, wow feeling close, but our schedule just didn't match.
I left Bataan/Luzon with quite a heavy heart, wanting to meet her again. Although my feelings at the time were uncertain, my urge to seeing her just came in more intense the days following.

I am still on vacation high ✨
We all had an amazing time in Baguio. This is the first time, after the pandemic, that we got to go as a family on a vacation. The kids are grown up, they are up for exploring and adventures. They are so game about everything. We laughed in the car while being all silly, and Gab was doing all his funny antics. What surprised me the most was Bailey. She talked us into walking around town, shopping with us on night markets and eating from food stalls. She's really shy, but I got to know about her (the teenager version) while we were on this trip.
I can't wait for our next travel adventure. I think we just started a yearly tradition. I want us to travel more because at my kids' age, they already know how to appreciate everything when they visit a new town. I know for a fact that it they will remember this until they grow old, and we'll reminisce and tell stories about this someday; that's how I was with my parents. They used to take me everywhere. Being the youngest, they would always drag me along on their work trips and road trips. I remember this one time, my dad took me to GenSan, Mindanao . . . just because. He took me to Zamboanga, so I could explore while he's working. He would always let the local pastor's youth and family to tour me around the town. I remember my mom and dad will just ask me to skip school so we coule go to Subic, and stay there overnight. Subic was their favorite place to go. I remember going to Laguna on weekends. I remember going on roadtrips to Quezon. I remember the long drive going to Nueva Ecija to Nueva Vizcaya. I remember the beautiful beachin' at Zambales and La Union. I remember going to dinner and dessert in Tagaytay. I remember going to Baguio, and staying at one of the best hotels that I stayed in. I remember going to Batangas, and up staying in one of the most exclusive resorts. I remember always staying in first class hotels and eating at beautiful restaurants. I remember the first class plane rides and vip treatments at airports. I remember when I had to study abroad. I remember the long layovers in Japan and Taiwan, exploring the airport for 9 to 11 hours. I remember our stay in Seattle, Portland, and the long drive to Canyonville, Oregon. I remember going to San Diego to visit the Grand Canyon. I remember us staying in LA to be a part of this amazing church. I remember the San Francisco bridge. I remember the drive to Canada, the snow in Whistler, and the ferry ride to British Columbia. I remember our stay in Arizona. Myyy what wonderful adventures. There was no social media back then ... all was just stored up in my core memory.
I want that for my kids. I want them to remember. I want them to experience everything, just as much as I did.
But here we are, we started in Baguio. And it was pretty awesome already!
Can't wait for more family adventures ♥️

Hist 1 College Field Trip
{Finally opened my tumblr and decided to post my life anecdotes written from 2015. This particular one has been on queue since Jun 1st, 2016 4:32:02am. Though it is unfinished, i found myself smiling while looking back to this memories written here in my old tumblr account 😌}
There’s this course given in UP Baguio in which the whole class (well supposedly) would go to an educational field trip. Well, we did anyway. But not the whole class though.
The sun shines at its brightest (next to isabela of course) in Ilocos. The trip consisted of a lot of walks and wanderings and we did not even think of opening up a single umbrella nor did we even try putting up sunblock. Because we, ourselves did not expect we’d join the trip. I can say it is the weather that’s considered to be the number one enemy whenever people go out of Baguio. But just as what I have said earlier, it was the best field trip I have ever been to.
And I had the best company.
Posted it late due to school works. The trip went well, as it was planned to be. It lasted two days and a night. April 9-10, 2016.
We had breakfast at a local restaurant in Laoag City. Aside from what’s in the plate, we were also served with some kind of soup. I could not remember its name though.
Then we headed to our first (or second) stop.
Sta. Monica Church
Some story telling
Sobrang init bes.
The tour guide said this palce’s where Imee Marcos, daughter of the late president Ferdinand Marcos, got married. He said they had to spend millions of pesos just to repair and recondition this beautiful church.
Presenting the good company
The reception area. They must have had a huge number of guests huh.
It’s also the same place where Fernando Poe Jr. shoot for his movie Ang Panday.
We ended up our wanderig around Sta. Monica church in some museum- Museo de Laoag. It was not alllowed to take pictures inside btw.

if you're planning to travel with me, keep in mind that i strictly follow time. i am a walking clock and i want everything organized. yes, i am also a walking organizer. i planned everything accordingly, every minute and every hour. if i said that we need to start our tour at 7am, i am serious. i am not a morning person but if i said that we need to be there early, then i'll follow. if this certain place is included in our itinerary, then we need to go there no matter what. i was so pissed off with one of my friends on our tour in Baguio. it's not easy to make an itinerary on the spot. yeah i've been to Baguio for like 10times but it's not that easy. it's pissing me off when someone is not so responsible with the time. i calculate all my actions but i guarantee that you will have the best time with me. so anyways i'm not that strict lol

Went to Baguio with old and new friends. Made the Vulcan greeting at SM Baguio. Visited Burnham Park. Toured the Night Market. Next day I went to Teacher's Camp. Crashed a Church wedding. Walked to Wright Park. Climbed the stairs to the Mansion. Took a crappy photo of the city. Then walked around Session Road. So how did you spend your holidays? #baguio #holidays #thenewnormal #lifebefore50 (at Baguio City) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXtMrrUhZnn3-ysIMp0cBwdRuYi1suKZ8elwvU0/?utm_medium=tumblr

Dream
by Marinel Agcaoli
There are two people who love each other purely it is Christian and Marga. Because of their love it also caused a lot of pain in their lives especially Christian.
Christian and Marga live next door in a place called Emerald Street. Christian has an admiration for his neighbor Marga she is smart, hardworking, beautiful, kind especially to her family, so that many man wants to court him. Christian always goes to Marga's house to ask for fruit and for Marga to notice him. Christian doesn't know that Marga also likes him for being a very kind person, hardworking, also loving to his family that they both share. Many months have passed many have also changed in their place as well as their feelings towards each other.
"Maybe this is the right time for me to take a step Christian said."
One day Christian saw Marga shopping at a store near them and Christian approached her to ask her a question and to ask for Marga's cellphone number so that they could talk wherever they were. Christian soon admitted that they were looking at the girl, Marga was so shocked that she suddenly cried and run away to go home. Christian did not understand why Marga suddenly left. Christian didn't know that the girl was also looking at him. A few days later the two decided to meet so that they could talk properly, so that it would be clear to them how they felt about each other. Christian didn't stop to say in front of marga that he loves it and at the same time Marga said "I love you too Christian!” From that moment they confessed and they became really overjoyed that the two felt because of their love. This lasted for two years and their tenderness never faded especially for Christian.
Until one day, Marga suddenly became ill for almost two weeks and Christian missed Marga so much that he could hardly see her. She can't go to Marga's house because Marga's parents don't know that she already has a boyfriend and especially because they don't have the same religion and Marga's father will be very angry when they find out. For almost two weeks of Marga's illness, you can see the collapse of her body. Until Marga's parents decided to take her to the doctor. They went to a private hospital near their place. A doctor immediately saw Marga and the doctor requested that Marga be given a laboratory test to diagnose her illness. After that, the doctor was seriously surprised by the results of Marga's check -up. "I'm sorry to announce that your daughter Marga has stage 3 cancer says the doctor". Marga's parents were shocked and Marga herself collapsed when she heard what the doctor said to them. "It's not true! I can't have this disease! No! Papa, mama ask us for a second test to be sure ..." Marga said.
The day came when Marga's parents were waiting to know the finals as a result of their second opinion in their second check-up for her illness. The Doctor came in and holding the result."I'm sorry to let you know that the final result was correct when you first visited the previous hospital." The doctor said.
"No! Why?! I don't want to die yet! I still have many dreams in life, they can't take them from me right away, no.!!! "Marga said. Marga's parents are crying a lot because Marga is their only child like Marga, her parents also have many dreams with her. On the day that Marga found out the final result of her illness, Marga decided to see Christian, after all, she had somewhat recovered from her illness and she was also quite strong. Marga called Christian, Christian immediately contacted him because he was so excited to see Marga. The next day they met in a park and when Christian saw Marga he immediately run towards him and he hugged her tightly because he missed Marga so much.
"How are you? Your body is too thin, what happened to you my love?" said Christian.
"It's nothing, my love, I got sick, so this is the result of my body collapsing suddenly. But now I'm regaining my strength because is healed for you, my love." Marga said. Marga decided to have a vacation in a cold place like Baguio and also to celebrate their upcoming anniversary. It was here that Marga decided to give Marga's beautiful gift to Christian, the most careful of the women, her virginity. The day came for the two of them on their anniversary, they toured and toured various tourist spots in Baguio, in the evening they went to a hotel where they stayed to rest. Marga prepared special candles and roses around and when Christian entered he was surprised to see Marga lying on the bed and naked. After that happy event especially for Christian because Christian knows how important a woman's virginity is so he was happy that his beloved Marga gave it to him even though he didn't ask for it.
Then that happy event happened especially to Christian because Christian knew how important a woman's virginity was so he was happy that his beloved Marga gave it to him even though he didn't ask for it. The sun came up when Christian woke up and Marga was not beside him and he saw a letter on the side of the bed and he read it.
"My dear Christian. Forgive me but I can't last this relationship. Forgive me. I don't want to hurt you but I have to do it so that you won't be hurt more when the time comes." After praying and reading Marga's letter to Christian, Christian's world suddenly collapsed with what was happening.
A month later, Marga noticed that she didn’t had yet a period after Christian had something with them, so Marga was scared and immediately bought a pregnancy test to make sure. It was immediately used to know the result and here it is a positive test. Marga was surprised when she saw the result and immediately went to her doctor. When she consulted her doctor she became angry and told Marga how she would be treated for her illness if she was carrying a child in her womb. Marga informed her parents and her own parents were shocked and angry as well. First of all Marga's parents did not know that she had a boyfriend. But Marga's parents did nothing because Marga was already pregnant with her child and would be their Grandson. Marga decided not to treat and take care of and make the child in her womb healthy even if it would cost her life. Because she wants to grow up and give birth to Christian's child even though her boyfriend doesn't know what's going on with Marga. Because Marga doesn't want to hurt Christian so much! Because it will break his heart to see the person you love so much than your life.
The month has passed since Marga will soon give birth to her son Christian. Marga is very weak because of her illness and it is also difficult for her to carry the child in her womb. The day came when the child was born and this is a very strong child he named it heaven because his face was an angel who descended from heaven. A few days later Christian was walking in a mall and he saw a friend of his and Marga, it was Dave. "How are you Christian? Dave said." I'm okay Christian said. "When Dave saw Christian he greeted him about Marga and him and here Christian found out that Marga had given birth which Christian was immediately surprised. Christian was surprised and thought that maybe when they separated, she immediately had a new boyfriend because he had a baby right away. Christain was angry when she heard about Marga she was very hurt. He went to Marga's house furious because of what he found out. But he didn't see Marga because it was still in the hospital the only one he caught there was his sister Rose. Here he learned the truth so much that he almost burst into tears at what he had learned. Here he finds out why Marga left him because he has cancer and he also finds out that Marga’s born child is their child. "Why didn't he say I shouldn't be with him and I take good care of him" Christian said while he was crying. '' The next day Christian immediately went to Marga to talk properly because they didn't meet after their anniversary in Baguio. In a room where Marga was confined, he entered and saw his beloved Marga. Christian was very saddened by what he saw because Marga had changed so much in his body and in his appearance. He approached her and greeted Marga. christain said "Love .. ?? How are you? why did you let fight alone ?. Marga cried and was very excited to see Christian." Love ... Forgive me if I didn't tell you everything. I don't want to hurt you because it will break my heart more my dear Christian "said Marga. After Marga and Christian were able to talk. Marga showed their beautiful baby Heaven. Christian was very happy to see their daughter and Christian promised that he would take care of them both so that he would wake up and he would make up for the months and hours he had not been with Marga. a few days later Christian kat Marga's recovery was so overwhelming that she really cared and took care of it as well as baby heaven who was a super sane child. The day came when Marga requested to buy her favorite stitch qwek qwek and she immediately bought it outside. When Christian went up to Marga's room, there were doctors running to Marga's room, Christian immediately ran to see what had happened. Marga's parents immediately heard screams and cries. Christian who seemed to be crying inside the room. he saw Marga covered with a white blanket and Christian cried and hugged Marga. "Love !!!! this is what you bought huhuhuhu !!! I just bought it for a while why did you leave me right away my love ..... !!!!!! said christian. After Christian cried it promised Heaven will be taken care of as well as he loves Marga and he will fill her with love. After they woke up Christian woke up to the fact that it was just a dream and he seemed stunned because it seemed to be true but on the other hand It was just a dream. A few days later, Christian decided to wander outside and get some fresh air. While Christian was driving, a woman suddenly appeared on the road and hit him. He immediately get out of the car to find out the condition of a woman and it is surprised because on the other hand the woman he dreamed of is facing him now and that is where my story about Christian and Marga ends.

Before you marry someone
... see him angry, know how he is sad. May quote na ganyan akong nabasa dati but more than anything, I suggest you travel together. Not the type where you do staycations or join travel tours ha? Like, really travel and plan it end-to-end. You'll learn a lot about a person when you travel. You'll know:
1. How they prioritize things. Do they put most budget for food or is it lodging? Do they want to visit the most famous restaurants or are they in it for the experience and culture?
2. How they plan. Are they detail oriented or do they have space for spontaneity? Are they strict with regards to time up to the minute or do they plan out where to go depending on the mood?
3. How they deal with changes or mishaps. Do they panic? Do they get irritable? Do they handle it with a laugh?
4. How they treat strangers and service crew. Are they the type to max out every possible penny out of the service fee? Do they get impatient when someone gets their orders wrong? Do they entertain the taxi or tricycle drivers' story?
5. How they make decisions. Do they consider you before deciding on something or do they make it for you?
Even before J & I became official, we used to take photo walks and mini travels as friends. The day we became official, we travelled from Manila to Zambales and had LOTS of mishaps - it was busy hour at Cubao, there was a long line of loud men, we had different work hours, we don't know who would do what. But, for some weird reason, I was kept calm because he would always assure me that everything is fine. He brings out the candidness in me, without putting us in trouble. The same happened when we travelled to Baguio as we ran out of bus tickets to go home, but still we breezed through it together. Then, we had the 5-day Tuguegarao - Buscalan - Sagada birthday trip where we travelled by plane and by land (bus, jeep, topload) yet, time and time again, we were able to sort everything together.
Now, we are travelling again and we have started packing even though its on Friday. We already have a routine of who's who - he takes care of the camera equipment and heavy items (towels, sleeping bags) while I make sure we have the essentials (first aid kit, toiletries). To add, we even have Fofo's stuff to figure out now (litter box, food).
Maybe it's because we are different in our smallest quirks but we think the same in terms of the important things - food doesn't need to be expensive, as we prefer tasting the "culture" thus market place and turo-turo; lodging needs to be comfortable but never extravagant; there's a general plan but if things don't go according to it, we wing it and make the best fun out of anything.
This post is not very organized but I guess you get my point. Travelling allows you to see how your partner prioritizes things, plans ahead and decides. You see how they are uncomfortable, sweaty, tired and you get to know if you are all okay with that.

I love the feeling of traveling alone in Baguio City; the cold and scenery there calm me. Walking at night felt a little dangerous, I had to be extra careful but the thrill woke me. Touring at parks, staying under the tree, and unconsciously staring at the people there-- felt like I'm human after all and I'm free... After staying there for four days I dream of living there with my own family, building a business, and living a happy life.
It was unfortunate that my boyfriend wasn't able to join me on this journey. But thankfully I've experienced solitude in this amazing cold season of Baguio City. I will definitely visit again in August next year but with my S.O this time.
Sometimes in life, all you need is a me-time. Solitude at its best.
