Oh My Gulay! Artist Café in Baguio
One of the most talked-about restaurants in Baguio is OH MY GULAY. It is a unique garden restaurant along the busy Session Road, which you wouldn’t even recognize that there’s an oasis at the penthouse located in the old building of La Azotea. To get there you have to take the old style wooden staircase leading to the fifth floor of penthouse.
As soon as you get there, you’ll probably understand why people are raving about this place not only because they offer different kinds of healthy vegetarian food in their menu, but also the rustic ambiance of the restaurant.

Talking about the quaint ambiance of OH MY GULAY, artist Victor Oteyza is one of the pioneers in Philippine Modern Art in 1950’s. The restaurant also features an art exhibits and some local performers. One of the know artists who perform here is Mr. Joey Ayala.

A small wooden bridge is seen upon entering OH MY GULAY!

A koi pond and the wooden bridge is the centerpiece of this oasis with its high-ceiling art space.

As you can see, there are a lot of tropical plants and foliage indoor plants around the place making it very visually appealing to the eyes.

Igorot figures are displayed as the part of VOCAS

These art masterpieces are made by indigenous people behind the Victor Oteyza Community. The VOCAS (Victor Oteyza Community Art Spaces) was founded by Mr. Eric De Guia in memorial of the artist Victor Oteyza. They even preserve those artistic treasures of Cordillera and Northern Luzon.

Vegan foods are being prepared for the customers.
Now, let’s talk about their food, oh yes! (The best part of the tour), mainly the reason why we go here is because of trying their healthy vegetarian foods.

Tandang Sora Parmigiana (P155) – Breaded eggplant over whole wheat bread, special red sauce, pesto and cheese.
And for our desserts...

Super Sosy (P70) – Peach stuffed crepe enhanced with luscious sweetened cream and peach flavored syrup, enriched with milk chocolate drizzles.
For the beverage you should try their special dayap iced Tea (sorry, if I wasn't able to take photos of our drinks because they served it late).

Dinning-in with this kind of view is what I also like about in this quaint place, aside from the cozy ambiance and their great food. I could feel the cold breeze of Baguio even on a sunny afternoon while enjoying our food.

I find their service a little bit slow for me, maybe because of how they manage to cook and prepare good quality vegetarian foods for the customers. As our food arrived in our table, it was served hot and you know that they are made of fresh ingredients. Every meal that we ordered tastes satisfyingly good! And I couldn’t agree more that this is one of the best dining experiences around Baguio with its artistic concept and ambiance.
If you want the best healthy food with an awesome view, try to visit this place.
OMG! is owned by the film director Mr. Eric de Guia.
