OFMD Random Commentary (Ep 2)
Ah yes the epítome of France: good bread
Why do I think BB will end up being either really shy or a huge himbo?
The crew's side-eye to Stede being earnestly into the story is marvelous
Oohhhh~~ the ghost of Badminton has come to haunt you, ohh~~
I love the way the scriber/quarter-master(?) was just like "oh ok then", fucking drops the journal on the ground, leaves
(it did hurt to see a book fall into sand tho)
Im gonna start calling Jim and his buddy the Sensible Duo. It fits them.
Let them check the gunpowder if they want to, it's their vacation
I hope the ghost of Badminton doesn't become annoying at some point, im enjoying him so far
Roach gave the prisoners a pee break, omg. He's already doing better than many companies out there
I should not find grown men playing with gunpowder as endearing as this show makes it seem
...whats a harpsichord?
Ohhh who are the newbies? I'm liking the all-black leather aesthetic of the main one
"Yer not ghosts, are ye?" I honestly love Buttons, he asks the right questions
Their cell is so pathetic-looking... They could probably break it...
Oluwande, Oluwande, Oluwande - he's important and he's one of the few sensible ones, I won't forget his name again
He's getting therapy! Good for him
Yeahhhhh leaving your family in the dead of night without a warning to lead a life of piracy and danger was probably not the best choice you could've gone for, ngl
(Assuming that's what happened)
((which yeah that's probably what happened, but i like doubting stuff))
"He's right, of course. Idiot." Idk why but that delivery killed me
You go Stede! I believe in you!
"I saw nothing! It's important you know how much I didn't see!" Hehe, that one was funny too
Diversions like this aren't done anymore. A shame really
"Sorry. You do. :/" I appreciate that hostage, he's been fairly civil thus far
I can't believe they actually pulled it off. Omg, they're almost competent :')
Izzy Hands is a great pirate name
Yayyy they kept the nice hostage!
"He's gonna get you all killed." Why does no one believe in Stede? Look what he just did! He recaptured his hostage! Without (too much) violence! He great
Aw, so Oluwande is in love. Nice
Yesss be a Gentleman Pirate!
Please tell me the scriber doesn't die... I liked his actor's deliveries...
Yessss finally meeting Black Beard!!
Conclusion of this episode? Gentleman Pirate does have a very nice ring to it, but I am afraid Stede's pirate life really won't last.
Very excited to finally get to see BB and Stede interact next ep!

Okay, now that I’ve had some time to digest this week and finally form thoughts and words on my experience, feelings and opinions, let’s dive in.
First let me start with this, I am 32 years old. I have been a @taylorswift fan since i was in high school. I can tell you exactly where i was the first time i heard Tim McGraw, gym class, during a badminton tournament, but that’s besides the point.
I am the youngest of three kids, and while we never financially struggled, we didn’t have extra funds for things like concerts, and i never asked because i didn’t want to be disappointed.
Up until this year, i have never been financially able to go to a TS tour. Because living in south central PA, it’s not just concert tickets; it’s gas to get to Philadelphia, tolls on the turnpike, a hotel room, food and everything else that comes with traveling out of town. So one concert easily turns into $1,500.
This year, i was finally in a position to afford a weekend concert, and, shockingly, was chosen for presale. To say that i was excited, is an understatement. However at 10am on Tuesday, my excitement quickly turned to distain. I sat in the queue for over 4 hours. Was kicked out multiple times, couldn’t find any of the Philadelphia shows, and when the shows finally did load, couldn’t get passed the first quarter of the queue line, was ready to give up. And when i finally did get in, I discovered nothing was left. See, i needed 3 tickets. One for me, and two for my best friends and fellow swifties.
None of us were able to get tickets. The experience literally sent me through the stages of grief. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. What was the most upsetting to me, was seeing over 6,000 for the Philly shows tickets being resold on stub hub, some for over $10,000.
The cancellation of general sale was like a sucker punch to the stomach. The math didn’t add up. How were 2.5 million tickets already sold? And how many presale codes were sent? (Spoiler alert, 1.5 million codes were sent). And how did ticket master not change their predictions based on the fact that Taylor had just broken every album release, streaming, and billboard chart record?
Now, let me be clear. I don’t hold anything against Taylor. This was 100% a Ticketmaster issue. Presale codes should have been required in or order to enter the queue, and presale should have happened in waves to ensure the site could handle the waves of fans/scalpers trying to buy tickets.
Taylor’s response to the ordeal broke my heart. You could tell she was pissed at Ticketmaster, upset for the fans that weren’t able to get tickets, and humbled by the 2.5 million tickets. But artists shouldn’t have to make a statement in regards to another companies responsibilities. The pressure and frustrations/anger she was receiving from her fan base was uncalled for, and felt very 2016.
Ticketmasters response was an absolute joke. They blamed the mass amount of Taylor’s fans, bragged about records, and made excuses for the way things were handled. As someone who works in sales/customer service, i don’t care what happened, i care about the measures that are being taken to fix the system that failed, and how Ticketmaster plans to ensure that this won’t happen again. None of that was mentioned in their statement.
So now, where does that leave us? still, ticketless, but i trust Taylor, i believe that she truly cares about her fans and i honestly think that she was the one that cancelled general sale because she didn’t want general sale to happen without the appropriate changes being made to the system. Am i right? Who knows. But that thought brings me a little bit of hope.
So now, we wait. And hopefully when ticket sales do resume, I’ll be able to secure 3.
Love,
Laura - A Swiftie.

Intramurals 2024
So far, i think this was one of my favorite school event when it comes to this year. We had so much great, and memorable things we did. And i gotta say, it was kind of peaceful.
Intrams started on the third of october 2024. I forgot that it was on that day and woke up pretty late, but i ran towards the parade of ours and slipped right in. We also had two teams, the Golden Flames (which i was in), and the Lightning Jamz (which where my best friend liam was in). After the parade had finished, we finally arrived to our destination with a mall right on the side of it. I was actually pretty excited of our basketball game, but i had to wait for a few hours for our game. At first, we had the introduction of the 2 teams, the Golden Flames and the Lightning Jamz. After the introduction, and the loud cheers, we headed to our expected seats and watched the rest of the performance. Right when Mr. And Mrs. Intrams had started, we actuallt didnt have any interest to watch the performance, but instead we played some chess with my classmates. We really played for like an hour and never stopped, going on consistently through each round. Asides from chess, I also brought some pokemon cards and earned dozens of money. I felt like a wandering trader walking around and selling some stuff. But then, after the Mr. And Mrs. Intrams ended, they kind of broke us and made them sit for another hour, except for me, since i had an upcoming basketball game. I couldnt resist laughing at my team cause they looked so exhausted while sitting. But then my game has started, and finally stepped on the center of the basketball court and was ready to play. But things weren't done greatly as my play went on unexpectedly. I barely got the ball. Its because, they couldnt pick me in the first five since we were grouped with the high school, and they barely pick me because I never really get the ball myself (because I pass it to Franz). After the 4th quarter had passed, we won, but I never got my play in the first game. I played some other sport, badminton and lost by devon, i hate day 1.

Badminton Indonesia GAGAL TOTAL

𝗦𝗶𝘅-𝗮-𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲   Right now, football grips much of the world, with many understandably captivated by a competition to find the best professional team on the planet, but other sports are widely followed and the amateur game hosts contests every bit as important to those involved.   So it was on 26 November, when the Synergy team won the DNV MCC Mariners Cup, adding to its success in 2018 and 2019, the two previous occasions when this tournament has been held.     A total of 24 teams from the maritime world took part, at the Singapore Badminton Hall, and just as for the World Cup there were group and then knockout stages.   Synergy Marine Group topped its group, and then came through a quarter-final, a semi-final and an equally challenging final. It was a tremendous event, with some great matches.   No individual player has yet scored a hat trick in the Qatar competition, and while, with three wins in a row, Synergy might proudly claim that here, the far greater reward is getting together with other companies and having a fun contest with them in this fine sport.   Many congratulations to all who took part, and sincere thanks to the sponsors and organisers of a terrific gathering.   The Synergy team, pictured here, are Umesh Iyengar, Gokul Gangadharan, Rajeev Pratap Singh, Shirish Sharma, Debashish Ghoshroy, and Ajay Chaudhary.
