Why is Khaptad Called a Piece of Heaven in Nepal?
Days before March or September, you will start seeing photos and articles on Nepali news sites about Khaptad National Park. That’s because the months of March to May and September to November are the perfect time to go trekking this untouched beauty in far-West Nepal.
Khaptad, as described by many people, is a ‘piece of heaven’ in Nepal. And it’s easy to see why. Here are a few reasons why Khaptad should be included in your bucket list:
 Various vegetations
Khaptad National Park has a land area of 225sq km. Because it is located in the central part of the four districts, the park features all kinds of vegetation, creating a unique ecosystem. Visitors enjoy exploring different types of forests; from subtropical to temperate forests and encountering various animals in the wild. This area is home to dusk deer, wild boar, Himalayan Yellow-throated marten, Himalayan black bear, porcupine, leopard, as well as butterflies, moths, and insects.
Home to plenty of religious sites
Some trekkers also go to Khaptad as an act of religious devotion. They go to Khaptad Baba, which is also known as Late Swami Sachchidananda. This pilgrimage site is one of the most famous at Tribeni. According to Nepali news, thousands of pilgrims come here on the full moon each August to honor Khaptad Baba.
Aside from Khaptad Baba, another popular site to visit is Sailesowri. Here, you will also see the temples dedicated to Ganesh and Masto.
Features the alluring views of the Himalayas
Who would get tired of looking at the snow-capped Himalayan mountain ranges? Those who take time to traverse its trails are rewarded by its incomparable beauty. If you are interested in nature photography, then you should not miss Badimalika. It is among the best spots to capture the alluring views of the mountain ranges.
 Fun and festive fairs
The locals host a huge fair every 10th day of June. It is the time of the year for them to meet their relatives and eat ‘ten bulks’ of vegetables. They also prepare lots of sweet and savoury food to share. They likewise go out to congratulate and wish tourists good luck throughout the day.
