I imaged this ages ago, it's Sh2-22 region, but I didn't capture much nebulosity. So its just been sitting on my drive for a few months, being another one of my failed projects. But I was playing around in photoshop and thought I'd see if I could glamorise it a bit by adding some star effects. It scrubbed up alright and was fun playing around with old crappy data. Image description: Entire image filled with small stars. All golden. Stars are so dense there is no empty blackness of space in the background. #astrochick #stars #photography #astrophotography #astro #backyardastrophotography https://www.instagram.com/p/ClqHU5FJdbL/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The pillars of creation (Hubble Sho palette) Large structures of interstellar gas and dust some 7000 light years away. The pillars of creation get this name from the fact they are forming new stars whilst the same time being eroded by the light of nearby massive stars. One day this lovely structure will no longer exist.... Or perhaps it may already be gone for we are only seeing this as it was nearly 7000 years ago. If they are destroyed, then by some calculations we wouldnt see until 1000 years from now, but of course there is a dispute between astronomers on this matter. Who knows? Thats what i love with this is the mystery and the complexity of our cosmos and the imagination and experimentation combined with mathematical calculations including the nature of light. This is but a mere attempt i worked towards in my backyard at bortle 7(severe) light pollution using the SHO hubble palette to bring this to life. Full resolution and technical details can be found on the link under my bio For now and always thanks for looking and always keep your head up to the stars! 🎶🎸🎶 #astrophotography #deepspace #nightsky #natgeospace #spacedust #stardust #pixinsight #cosmos #texas #followyourstars #universe #backyardastrophotography #night_photography #astronomy #universetoday #amateurastrophotographyezine #imagination #pillarsofcreation #spaceisawesome #spacedotcom #stars #depthofield #spacestuff #narrowbandimaging #nightlife #cosmicarena #nebulae #newmilkyway #starstuff #astrodon @amateurastrophotographyezine https://www.instagram.com/p/BqxghZ4AYt4/?igshid=1kuzirftsz3e6

I used an astronomy app I'll list a better bunch of screenshots in my stories. It is augmented and does VR and gives you notifications etc of big events such as meteor showers, when the space station flies overhead and more. Comets, solstices, etc. An eclipse, or blood red moon, the latter being pretty common, more than you think. I was kinda surprised but at the same time, not really. #astronomy #backyardastrophotography #backyardastronomer #backyardastronomy #googler #googlefi #teampixel #googlefi #pixel3axl #googlepixel #googlepixel3axl #googlepixel3axlphotography #pixel3axlphotography #merica🇺🇸 #cdmx🇲🇽 #americanphotographer #americanphotographers #mexicanphotographers #mexicanphotographer #californiatransplants #californiaphotographer #californiaphotographers #utahphotographer #utahphotographers (at Ogden, Utah) https://www.instagram.com/p/CD97iwmhbTs/?igshid=1nkii1irmacfw

M 56 is a globular star cluster located approximately 33,000 light years away and above the plane of the Milky Way. Comprised of hundreds of thousands of suns this cluster has been approximately dated to be over 13 billion years old. This image is a result of approximately 160 separate exposures with a total exposure time of around 20 minutes. #M56 #GlobularCluster #AstroPhotography #ZWO #Celestron #BackyardAstrophotography #clayhausphotography https://www.instagram.com/p/CDRrx9MBS_Q/?igshid=at4ir5amu70r

I was too lazy to get my tripod and this is my astrophotography. Lol I was trying to shoot Jupiter and another planet. I'll upload more about that. #astrophotography #astronomy #backyardastronomy #backyardastrophotography #backyardastronomer #sonyphotography #sonyalpha6000 #sonyalpha #sonya6000 #210mmphotography #210mmlens #a6000 #alpha6000 #sony #mexicanphotographers #mexicanphotographer #americanphotographer #americanphotographers #utahphotographer #utahphotographers #californiatransplants #californiaphotographer #californiaphotographers #googler #googlefi #merica🇺🇸 #cdmx🇲🇽 #military #veterans #thinblueline (at Ogden, Utah) https://www.instagram.com/p/CD962vch4sN/?igshid=8044ks1gbuok

Elephants trunk in bicolor (IC 1396/vdb 142) This is an emission nebula about 2400 light years away. Located in the constellation cepheus, it is comprised of dense interstellar gas and dust with a large structure of ionized dust and a diffuse nebula. The elephants trunk nebula is thought to be a massive star forming region with young stars less than 100k years old! The pressure from the light, gas, dust and star formation is theorized to host a current generation of protostars. Thought i would work a new rendition of the elephants trunk here as i am learning and experimenting with narrowband color palettes. Its one of my favorite star forming regions on my list and i just felt like after looking at the first rendition that it deserved some attention. I decided to see what i could cook up with a bicolor style using the hydrogen alpha and Oxygen III present in the nebula. Equipment and software: Gso rc6, stellardrive heq5, self modified zwo off axis guider, zwo asi1600mm with 8 position electronic filter wheel using astrodon filters 3nm oiii, and 5nm halpha.
