author's note: theo they could never make me hate you
If you'd like to know more about how I plan to handle cancer as a subject (and a list of the tags I'll be using), click here.
Transcript under the cut.
On their pre-dinner tour of the house and the grounds, Frederick told her that the room under the eaves had once belonged to his father. He had spoken of the King with unmistakable pride and warmth, and the obvious affection in his voice had made Emily sick with anxiety. He idolized his father; how would he cope with news of the divorce?
All that worry, wasted. The King had less than a year to live; all else was moot.
EMILY | ...Frederick? FREDERICK | ... EMILY | Do you, um...do you want to talk about it? FREDERICK | No. EMILY | ... EMILY | I can't imagine what you're feeling right now, but I'm here to listen if you— FREDERICK | I SAID I DIDN'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT! EMILY | ... FREDERICK | ... EMILY | ... FREDERICK | I shouldn't have yelled. EMILY | ...it's okay. FREDERICK | No, it's not. I'm sorry. [ exhales unsteadily ] ...I'm going for a walk. EMILY | Oh...do you want me to come with? FREDERICK | No. FREDERICK | I need to be alone. FREDERICK | ...
Standing there with the house at his back, Freddy reached for his phone the way his father used to reach for a pack of cigarettes. It wasn't a considered action; it wasn't something he thought about at all. He was seeking comfort, seeking contact. He opened his recent text conversations and tapped the phone icon to begin a call.
[ shower running ] [ phone ringing ] THEO | Shit! Shit, shit, shit— [ phone ringing ] THEO | Hello? ...yeah, I just got out of the shower. What's up? THEO | ...is everything okay? You sound...upset. THEO | Sure, I can talk...what's going on, Freddy?

'Irish actor Andrew Scott stars as Baron in the new action comedy film “Back in Action,” which premiered on Netflix.
Seth Gordon directed the movie from a screenplay that he co-wrote with Brendan O’Brien.
The synopsis is: 15 years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family, elite spies Emily (Cameron Diaz) and Matt (Jamie Foxx) find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown.
Scott on playing Baron and working with Cameron Diaz
On playing Baron and working with Cameron Diaz, Scott remarked, “Baron was fun to play. We play a bit with our perceptions of how he seems to be versus how he is.”
“Like a lot of humans, he has a huge, decades-long crush on Cameron, who is the most delightful and generous of people to work with in reality. I think audiences are going to be just delighted to see her back on screen,” Scott elaborated.
Scott on making an action comedy movie
On doing an action comedy film, Scott said, “It was great fun to be asked to be a small part of all the action and film in one of my favorite places in the world, London’s iconic Tate Modern.”
“This is the perfect movie for families to watch together and I was happy to be asked to be a part of it,” Scott admitted.
Seth Gordon on casting Andrew Scott as Baron
Director Seth Gordon discussed casting Andrew Scott as Baron.
“I love everything I’ve seen Andrew in,” Gordon said. “At the time, he had just completed filming ‘Ripley’ for Netflix, but I knew him as the hot priest on ‘Fleabag’ and some other great things, and I wanted badly to have a guy who’s our antagonist be menacing and a little bit dangerous, but very smart.”
“I needed someone who could do all that and have it feel different than it usually does,” Gordon said.
“Gordon is a guy who isn’t concerned about putting anyone at ease, but there’s no mustache-twirling. He brought a fun little blend of awkwardness and comedy that I don’t feel we’ve seen before,” Gordon elaborated...'
#Andrew Scott#Baron#Back In Action#Seth Gordon#Ripley#Netflix#Hot Priest#Fleabag#The last quote doesn't make sense and I'm guessing should start with Baron not Gordon...

you know what i’m here for 😭😩 ⛲️🚗
[Ask Game]
Oh, yes! Your favourite scene 😌💖
The fountain’s base was nowhere near deep enough for the water to be of any real threat. But there was enough water for it to come as a shock. So much so that Adrien’s response was delayed. For a beat he lay in the water, before slowly sitting up to figure out what had just happened. His clothes were soaked and his dripping hair clung around his face. When he turned to where the other kids had been, he saw that all of them were running clear of the area. Evidently none of them wanted to be caught up in the situation and potentially blamed for what had happened. It was understandable, as the next thing Adrien knew he was being hauled out of the water by his arm. “What are you doing?” Gabriel hissed as he harshly pulled Adrien from the shallow water. Adrien stumbled onto his feet. His sodden clothes started to drip onto the gravel beneath him. “I-I was…” he stammered out, but it was all he could manage. Nathalie quickly appeared behind Gabriel, looking markedly concerned. “Is he okay?” For a moment Gabriel said nothing. He only stared down at Adrien, his eyes fierce and a disdainful curl on his lips. Then he started to drag Adrien along by the arm. “He’s fine,” Gabriel clipped. “Give us a moment, Nathalie.” With his arm locked into his father’s iron grip, Adrien had no choice but to follow. He was pulled to the edge of the park and through a gate that led to a side road. “An embarrassment,” Gabriel muttered under his breath as he dragged Adrien along the footpath. “After all that, you just had to embarrass me.” “I-I’m sorry,” Adrien whimpered. “It was an accident.” Gabriel came to an abrupt stop then. With a rough movement, he let go of Adrien’s arm and turned away to where a car was parked. Adrien recognised the black sedan easily as the one they’d arrived in. His heart sank at the thought that he was now being taken home, but there was also a small relief. His soaked clothing felt absolutely freezing on him now. It left him shivering uncontrollably despite the afternoon’s warm sun. Adrien stood where his father had left him on the pavement. He watched, trembling on the spot as Gabriel unlocked the car. But instead of going for the back seat as expected, he walked to the rear of the vehicle and opened the trunk. Gabriel’s glare then turned on Adrien. “Get in,” he commanded. Adrien could only look at his father in alarm. “B-But that’s-!” “Get,” Gabriel spat as he grabbed Adrien and dragged him towards the car, “in.”
Citrus and Lavender, Ch. 35
I really had no idea how iconic this scene would become (for you and @wackus-bonkus-maximus anyway 😂)
This scene takes place as a sort of flashback-dream sequence. It follows Adrien and Gabriel's relationship reaching a critically dire point for Adrien, so in his unconscious state a lot of old memories are resurfacing.
Gabriel was a bad parent and awful person long before the events of this fic. It's unfortunately something Adrien has grown up with and therefore had to adapt to. Adrien assumes the blame - even for things that were not in any way his fault! - because that's a behaviour his parents encouraged in him. Gabriel is just more upfront and physical about it in his actions.
These scenes are also starting to layer more hints at how brittle and detached their father-son relationship is. It's incredibly one-sided. Adrien loves and looks up to his father - even if he finds the man terrifying - because Adrien loves his parents. Meanwhile Gabriel sees Adrien as a prop or tool at best, while at worst he views his son as a nuisance and a parasite.
It's a little canon divergent, since we do know that Gabriel does at least care about Adrien to certain extent in the show. He just cares about Emilie more.
In this fic, that difference is even wider. In C&L, Emilie is Gabriel's whole world and reason of being. He doesn't want to share her with anyone, even "their child".
Sadly, its because of this that there is nothing Adrien can do to really build a somewhat normal relationship with his father. Any 'misbehaviour' that Adrien does, accidental or not, is something that Gabriel will always view as a personal attack. Really, since he could never stop Emilie from doting on Adrien according to her whims, Gabriel doesn't stop himself from punishing Adrien on a whim either. And since Gabriel doesn't want to share a space with the other person vying for Emilie's affection, he tends to favour punishments that force Adrien out of sight.
#gabriel being the world's worst everything#is a common trend in my fics#the fountain is also a staple now#lava and wackus loved it so much i'll have to keep bringing foutnains back for their enjoyment#redundant-lava#ask selkie#ask game#fic: citrus and lavender

*Post may update over time.
"...You all have been called here with a purpose to end everything, end to an immortality. You remained alive and dead for a while, haven't you?..."
This post is a detailed information shout my FNAF AU - Immortal Remains!
It's completely centered around remnant and ghost concept along with immorality. All actions occur in FNAF 6 pizzeria, where Henry Emily reunited people directly related to the events in the pizzerias in order to finally put an end to everything.
He couldn't just burn everything down right as everyone came, because that wouldn't fix the problems left at Freddy's. So, with all characters back, they go on different missions together, "forgetting" about grievances for the sake of a common goal.
Every character of course have their own goals and secrets they hide from each other. Even the most honest looking people hide many skeletons in their closets..
All main characters have some relation to remnant in some way.
Like William, Elizabeth and Evan being souls(ghosts if you please), and Henry and Michael immortalised by remnant.
More about the plot:
Michael found Elizabeth at sister location and recognised her quickly, so they got out from Circus Baby's pizza together. After they've reached the surface Michael found a way to free Elizabeth by destroying Circus Baby. Remnant spilled and Elizabeth was finally free in a form of a soul. Michael kept in touch with Henry, so after Mike decided to work with Emily.
Henry at this time decided to check the old Afton house for his own purposes. In the house he found Evan, left alone with nightmares. Emily took the poor child with her, and they began to live together in Henry's house. They have become close, and Evan already considers Henry part of his family.
William was locked in a safe room for 30 years and had no contact with his family. As soon as his body was transferred to the horror attraction, he woke up. As Springtrap, he lost part of his memory, but all this time he was thinking about the past, trying to remember it. When it was clear that a living animatronic was wandering around the attraction, they tried to close it, and by coincidence, William was able to get out. Being on the loose, he was found by Henry and brought into the building.
Henry needed to be brought together in such a way that everyone had the opportunity to help with Emily's goals. For this, Henry even burned Springtrap body so that he would be freed and take the form of a soul.
After the reunion, main objective for characters is to clean up after all the events in Freddy's. Free the restless souls, fix anomalies and other things characters will do together - even if they may have conflicts with each other along the way.
And here is lineup of Aftons icons!
(Still working of full character references)
This au is still in progress, and this is one of my first FNAF projects I want to continue for a long time. I will be happy to receive feedback and any suggestions you may have!
Thank you for attention!!

Stardew Valley mod rec compilation
this is a regular question asked on the discord so I wanted to put together my own constant pack to link.
These are NOT all mods I use. These are the mods I’m **completely confident **in recommending together, that definitely work well, combine well and won’t create any cognitive dissonance.
(Note that I’m not listing any prerequisites. Whichever mod you’re installing, you obviously need to install its prerequisites too)
(Most of these are on Nexus, but not all. MARGO is on GitHub, for example. Search on Nexus first, then duckduckgo or google it if it’s not there)
Utility if-you’re-modding: (mods that maybe won’t improve your game per se and you don’t want to install Just Them if you’re picking and choosing, but if you’re already using other mods, you want to look at these)
Advanced Save Backup (obvious function is obvious, don’t let mod fuckups permanently ruin your save)
Generic Mod Config Menu (absolutely mandatory if you’re installing like… >1 other mod)
CJB Cheats Menu + CJB Item Spawner (the more mods you have the more likely you’ll need this to recover after glitches. There are vanilla bugs you might want this to help you with too)
Jump Over (or noclip, in case you get stuck somewhere)
Mod Update Menu (fully optional, but might be nice)
Quality of Life (mods that I’m completely confident work well together and will improve your game withough particularly changing it. You do want to meddle in config for many of these though. Increase complexity at your own pace)
Action Sitting
After Midnight Speed Buff
Easy Coal
Balanced Quarry
Better Artisan Good Icons
Better Beehouses
Better Chests
Better Ranching (turn off “prevent failed harvesting” in config, add Fix Animal Tool Animations for that functionality instead)
Bigger Backpack
Collapse on Farm Fix
Destroyable Bushes
Gift Rejection
Grass Growth
Horse Overhaul - Immersive Scarecrows
Immersive Sprinklers
Lucky Rabbit’s Foot
Mail Services Mod
MARGO - Tweex, Tools and Ponds modules
Remember Birthdays
Robin Work Hours
Expanded Big Shed
Sturdier Saplings
Time Speed
Zoom Level
Friendship QoL: (I’m putting these into a separate category because they specifically make one thing easier and might be unbalanced together - but if you want lots of custom NPCs they might be necessary as a breath of air)
Part of the Community
Passive Friendship
Friend of a Friend
Visual (This is specifically the combination I use, that I know for a fact works well and looks good together. These are mods that don’t alter any mechanics or add any content and mostly don’t impact balance, they’re purely to make the game look better)
Custom Menu Background
Better Water
Cuter Coops and Better Barns or Coop and Barn Facelift
Darker Vanilla Crops
Darker Vanilla Forage
Dynamic Night Time
Dynamic Reflections
Happy Fish Jump
Iridium Sprinkler Desaturated or Burnished Bronze Iridium Sprinkler
Less Ugly Spouse Rooms
Medieval Buildings
Simple Foliage
Skell’s Flowery Tools
Starry Night Interface (deleted from Nexus)
Vintage Interface (and this if you’re using Bigger Backpack)
Vibrant Pastoral Recolor
Way Back Pelican Town
Wind Effects
Yri’s Modular Flowers
Eemie’s Dark Wood and Gold Craftables - Scarecrow and Rarecrow Recolors - Climates of Ferngill
Swimsuit Selection
Spritemaster, and you can turn off the smoothing just for faster rendering everywhere with no visual changes
Dialogue + NPCs (Thoroughly vetted - exclusively the mods that don’t create any contradictory lore, fit fully with vanilla, and might make you feel like vanilla was always intended to be this way)
Dusty Overhaul
Community Wednesdays and Community Center Reimagined
David the Hamster
Demetrius Visits Farm Cave Redux
Diverse Stardew Valley
the ethnic wedding outfit collection (Emily Ukrainian Wedding Dress and others with the same naming scheme, entering “wedding” into search is a good way to find these)
Haley Reads Magazines (plug of my own mod)
Immersive Spouses
Jean and Jorts
Social Haley
Unlikely Friends
Immersive Sandy
Make the game more fun (This is a fairly diverse category - these are the mods that will substantially alter the game and give it a decidedly non-vanilla feel and balance, but that I’m willing to vouch for as fun, non-conflicting, non-glitchy and not making your life harder. Some of them are smaller than others)
Walk to Desert Redux
Archery + Archery starter pack
Artista
Cape Stardew
Cat gifts
Deep Woods
Farmhouse visits
Festival of the Mundane
Hot Spring Farm Cave (or another farm cave mod)
If It Fits I Sits
Improved Cindersap Forest (plug of my own mod)
Like a Duck to Water
Lost in the Mountains (or another custom farm map mod) (plug of my own mod)
MARGO - Combat, Professions and Taxes modules
Stardew Druid
Swim Mod
Wren’s Expanded Greenhouse (or another greenhouse mod)
Animals Need Water
Even More Secret Woods
NPC Adventures (and content packs for it)
Map Editor Extended
Free Love pack (This is for the people who think SV is nice in allowing the player to date multiple people, but unnecessarily restrictive in allowing them to only marry one of them. I’m putting other romance/marriage/parenthood mods in this category also) necessary: (these are the mods you need to make a multi-spouse household function smoothly, period. Need extensive configuring, usually, so pay attention when you install them)
Bed Tweaks
Custom Spouse Patio Redux (this one can glitch, but Map Editor Extended has fixed it for me fine every time)
Custom Spouse Rooms
Free Love
Wedding Tweaks optional: (these are the mods that can substantially improve your personal life if you’re into them, but Free Love functions fine without them)
Platonic Partners and Friendships
Bachelors and Bachelorettes stay friends
Fourteen Heart Events for All
Gender Neutrality Mod
Not In Here By Yourself (plug of my own mod)
Hugs and Kisses
Multiple Spouse Dialogs (+Tia’s and Liliet’s packs for it) (plug of my own mod uwu)
Planned Parenthood
Swimsuit Selection
Unique Children
Unique Children Talk - T’s Spouse Room
#video games#stardew valley#im sorry not everything is linked i did everything and then tumblr somehow???? lost it???? i cant. i just cant do it all over again

One Piece Live Action Episode 7 The Girl with the Sawfish Tattoo
Oda's backstory for his characters has now harmed me emotionally, mentally, and physically (I swear, I got a high fever after this episode and I just recovered, days after I watched the episode) in three different mediums.
Nojiko and Nami's younger counterparts, Belle-mere really knew how to make me happy looking at their found little family that I forgot what was about to happen next.
Was a little upset Genzo didn't have much screen time. Like I understand they want to focus on BelleMere and Nami and Nojiko, but Genzo was a father to them. I wished they included the story bit about BelleMere being a troublemaker and why did they REMOVE THE PIN WHEEL AFTER NAMI WAS GROWN UP?
And this. When I read and watched this the first time, I was angry at her for not lying. Now that I'm a bit older, I'm still angry but I understand now.
I really can't add how much I love Belle Mere.
This was the scene I was anticipating for. I saw someone said that Oda loved Emily's performance for this scene and wastruly happy with it. So I had high expectations and she nailed it.
She captured Nami perfectly this entire episode. The entire season really.
However, I didn't like that Luffy had to hear Nami's backstory.
Luffy in the original never heard it. He left for a walk. And him knowing it just removes the original intention of why Luffy never heard any of his crew's back story. He's usually asleep or is never present.
Anyway, Luffy never set out to help his crew because he heard their situation and he has to do something about it. Rather, he chooses to help for one reason, they're his friend and that's all that matters.
And frankly, I love that more.
Truly happy to see Zoro and Sanji have a hate-flirt relationship.
I know they were cleaning Sanji up a little but thank you for keeping him as a little flirt to everyone.
Like seriously, he hasn't known Sanji, so yes I understand why he's cautious, but him commenting on everything that Sanji says was so petty. He was unconscious, and suddenly his captain, whom he just sworn his life to, brought on another guy, I may be worried too but he paid too close of attention to him.
This was unexpected. Luffy and Sanji were bonding over their similar experiences. Then here comes Garp and Zeff, bonding and talking about the next generation. Garp refuses to let Luffy lead his own life while Zeff entrusts his dream to Sanji.
This may be the first time in the live-action someone compares Luffy to Gold Roger. In the anime, I think it'd be in Drum Island when Kureha compares him to Roger. Or did she? I can't recall clearly. Or was she just talking about the D in both their names.
We don't talk about this. We WILL NEVER SPEAK OF IT
And ending the episode with this iconic scene was brilliant.

It’s interesting to see how long fashion can last beyond it’s presentation. It’s not uncommon to see styles or trends come back around but another aspect of it within media is how integral it can be to the show’s image. When you think of a character, you think of how they dress too. Good costume design can bring a full image together or reflect a new side of someone. Games can implement skins, armor, and character customization to express new sides of a character or allow players to create looks that directly reflect the outfit’s origins. Today though I want to talk about 2 shows, One Piece Live Action and Buffy. I'd like to ruminate about some of the outfits I loved and how the outfits added to the shows unique and iconic imagery not by being just stylish but relevant to characterization of these already iconic characters.
My favorite two outfits from the One Piece Live Action were Nami and Luffy’s Baratie outfits. I feel like Nami’s was both poppy and cute, a Pink top and Orange pleated skirt, in the realm of party wear whereas some of her other outfits were more obviously for comfort on the sea or in combat. The way Emily Rudd wore it was also very confident which I feel is important for the character. Part of what I think makes Nami’s strength and so great is her own confidence and will, where she will confidently take the action she believes. Likewise Luffy’s outfit is a bit more of a modern casual version of his usual outfit but still works for his character. Luffy’s usual clothes are supposed to be ones he happened to have found, where as these feel like some he perhaps got before leaving Syrup Village as they’re much cleaner. The style of them though is still super fun, almost childish, and just similar enough to his usual that you don’t feel a difference in his presentation. Iñaki Godoy has a really energetic and in some ways naïve play of Luffy and so the outfit and the it fits that makes it feel like something Luffy would wear with blue jean overalls and a bright red hooded t-shirt.
For One Piece it’s not too hard to figure out how it can be so distinctly styled. Oda’s art and designs are fairly unique. If you see Luffy’s outfit off of Luffy, it’s still recognizably his outfit. But what was kind of unexpected within the show was that even in other outfits they always felt like something he’d wear. Most of the costumes were adapted from Oda’s Color Walk 1 and 2 but costume designer Diana Cilliers has mentioned that there were costume changes made for function and to better fit the cast in ways. But it’s fun to know that it wasn’t just actors and set designers trying to recognize Oda’s vision for the world but also the costume designers trying to bring more of his work directly into the production.
I think this is a good vision for the show to go by too. Taking the both iconic characters and Oda’s sense of design for them and making it integral to the iconography of live action’s production, recognizing that the clothing and fashion of the world is just as important, is wonderful.
Now you may be wondering how I am transition to Buffy in this or how I even relate these two together. Actually I had seen Buffy a lot when I was younger, my mom and Aunt watched it quite a lot. From time to time they also like to rewatch old shows while doing chores and stuff just as background noise. At the time OPLA came out, my mom happened to be rewatching Buffy and something about how stylish Buffy was stuck with me the same way I was noticing OPLA was really stylish. Thats about how they ended up being compared in my case but something I noticed actually was how both felt like they tried to authentically represent and evolve the characters outfits.
In One Piece where the outfits are more involved with the characters and clothing functionality, Buffy’s feels more about the way it grounds the fantasy of the world in Sunnydale and it’s time. Buffy has returned to the fashion zeitgeist as Y2K fashion has made a some back in many places. Which makes sense with the way the show has a pretty iconic sense of fashion. Buffy and Willow both have the most distinct styles in the show an that definitely left a note on the fashion culture at the time. Within Buffy it’s pretty interesting to note that not all the outfits were bought or pieced from everyday fashion, some were specifically designed and made for the show. A lot of the ones that were bought were also sourced from around LA and it’s surrounding cities, the closest thing to Sunnydale there probably is. In one interview for Paper Magazine Cynthia Bergstrom mentions the brands Ver Wang which was located in Beverly Hills, Mark Wong Nark who had a store on Sunset Blvd and Cynthia Rowley out by the coast and south of LA and Huntington Beach.
Just as much as the show set trends in style, leaving ever iconic looks for characters, it also captured a lot of the actual clothes of the time. Willow’s clothing evolution is probably the one most people recognize across the series. Going from varied, almost hand me down fashion, to an almost casual punk or alternative style. From there it kind of naturally matures into outfits that feel more mature overall. One of my favorites though is from the episode where she meets Tara during a Wicca Group meeting. The episode is HUSH, a well known episode for being one of the more terrifying ones based on the idea of silence and terrors that lurk in that and take advantage of that. Willow’s outfit that I like has probably one of my favorite balances to match her personality and budding interest in this dark power in her. It has this cute cropped pink sweater and jean-patchworked Maxi skirt. It feels like it’s somewhere between the sweet and kind Willow and then the alternative grungy-naturalistic aesthetics of magic. In a lot of interviews it sounds like Willow was one of the easiest to style for and it shows quiet well. Willow always has a developing style all the time but it’s a very natural and understandable one and I love being able to see that.
The other outfit in this show I absolutely LOVE is from another legendary episode, Band Candy. Joyce, Buffy’s mom, and Giles, Buffy’s Mentor, essentially get their brains turned to teen-age from the chocolate sold from the school. Technically all adults who eat the chocolate get affected but we’re focusing on these two because Joyce looks great. Stacy’s mom? NO! Buffy’s mom. She and Giles go on a trek through the chaos that ripples through the town. Giles being the british-punk warlock he is steals a coat she wants from a shop window by tossing a trash can through it. Now when I say Joyce looks great in this episode I mean it’s undeniably one of the best outfits in the series. With suede (?) knee-high boots, a short formfitting skirt and the layered, ankle length jackets, one of which topped with an almost fur like feather collar, on top of a nice pastel V-neck shirt, is one of the most cohesive and timeless outfits seen in the run of the show. Giles’s outfit also fits this episodes' event change where he rolls his t-shirt sleeves up with a plaid shirt tied around his waist and plain jeans. It’s really simple but echos the general look of the younger punk scene Giles likely was a part of in his youth.
What I feel makes Joyce’s outfit stand out as iconic though is how it showcases something that actually people saw in a recent tiktok trend. People were swapping clothes with their parents and it made a lot of their parents look a lot younger. In many ways it showcased how style trends not just across time but across age can be irrelevant because of how the fashion itself is worn. A newer style and a certain level of trends can really affect the way a person’s age can present themself. When Joyce wears this outfit along with her acting younger it feels cohesive. The way she wears it and how it looks together, just like with Nami, Luffy or Willow, plays into the relevant parts of the character. She is teenage brained from a story standpoint but from a visual standpoint it helps to actually showcase that difference by evolving her outfit. Yet it still feels like her, not just because we see her in it but because of what we see in Joyce’s character in the rest of the series. She enjoys art, she jokes with Buffy and her friends a lot, and in being Buffy’s mom has raised her to be confident and fight for herself, even if she hadn’t always known Buffy was the Slayer. There is a deeper character that may not dress the way she does in Band Candy all the time, but has an origin and side to herself that would dress like that.
So when I say Fashion is always relevant, it’s not just a statement on how relevant it can be to a time. Most of what makes it so relevant in storytelling is the character and how believable it can be to see that outfit or costuming applied to said character. In live action series this can add a really thoughtful layer and be used to develop subtle, or overt, storytelling points. So when you find your next favorite show, see how much your impression and idea of the characters comes from how they dress. It might surprise you to see just how much it can change with a few outfit differences.
Anyways I’m no style expert, I just wanted to talk about some cool feelings I had over the fashion in these shows. Above is the full body picture I drew as a nice little doodle of the outfits I talked about here (You can also see part of it in the header for this post). Hope you like it. Here are all my sources and interviews I read to write this up:

- They somehow made it cater for both the old and longtime fans and young and newbie fans good job (for the most part)
- I don’t have a rating since it’s a stand alone movie so I’m just gonna go cry in the corner until season 6 or more ladynoir

in relation to the anonymous hate towards Beth, I think it's a whole, Beth was known for her suicide attempt, twd has many strong female characters and is what is considered "normal". So seeing this "weak" character I think annoyed the audience, personally I think Beth was such a human character because we saw her development on screen, unlike Michonne for example who was already rude from her first appearance. I don't know if Hershel was "judged" for going off drinking and leaving his daughters alone and being "weak" (which to me is also a human action, crying and grieving for your lost loved ones). I feel like male characters are "forgiven" for being human but in this case Beth is punished. 🤷♂️
Xoxo
For non-Spanish speakers, here's the translation of the Spanish part:
Moving on to another topic, in the comic Lori dies when the governor attacks the prison. Do you know the reason why on TV they made the decision to kill her in childbirth? And make Beth Judith the primary caretaker in the process? I honestly think they wanted to give her screen time.
As for Daryl's leaks, I prefer to believe that in those photos in which the actress appears dressed as a nun and Daryl delirious, Daryl is seeing Beth, I have no proof but no doubt either. Daryl is known for his hallucinations.
And finally, did you see Emily's Instagram stories?
I agree with what you said about her not being a strong character at the first, and since the audience is used to strong characters, they got a little annoyed. I can see that. But I think that was Gimple's point. A lot of people really would be puddles of goo if the zombie apocalypse truly happened. He wanted to show someone who started out weak but then became very strong. It's the ultimate character arc to go from a place of weakness to a place of strength.
In terms of Lori, they were always remixing things in the show as compared to the comics. The only thing they did 100% the same way was Glenn's death. And that's because it was so iconic. But other than that, they almost never did things the same way because they didn't want the show to be too predictable. They wanted to make it their own, and I'm glad that's the case.
As for Beth, I talked about this a few days ago (HERE). About how from the very beginning Gimple didn't simply make her the babysitter because he didn't know what else to do with her. He did it to foreshadow a future arc that had to do with children, especially kidnapped children, and babies. So, I believe he had major plans for Beth's arc, even back then.
I love the idea of Daryl being delirious in those pics and seeing Beth! I could see that, and it would be super interesting, wouldn't it?
I see most of Emily's stories, but you'd have to be more specific about which one. She posts a lot. 😉
Thanks for all your thoughts, Nonny. Xoxo! ☔️💕

Outside on my balcony in the cold by Dallas standards breeze rustling through the trees carrying the smoke from the first full cigarette smoked in ages by this point buying a pack every 4-6 months and then once every month or so I smoke half of one and get nauseous beyond my baseline to continue but at least today a combination of empty enough stomach and half an ambien which generally kicks in only 1/8 times but this one did. Anyways how fun the smoke looked hanging thick and silver white in the air being buffeted by these very erratic fall winds. A Shiner (the one good texas beer) One cigarette then a stove-lit joint. Anna Meredith's Savages and Nicolas Jaar's Sirens on repeat the first few hours of this last November Sunday. Two iconic albums to me In 2016 like truly virtuosic raging mourning living songwriting / performances imho...Emily and Charlotte are out here with me adventurousness and kittingcatness undeterred by cold or wet or wind. Emily got halfway down the stairs which she doesn't usually do my little explorer she came back when I called her though she and Charlie are back inside by now guess it's cozy time. I really hope I can keep this apartment and keep the cats. My car's already totaled. time's running out ina million ways on a million things but that's most everyone's story. Hopefully figure something out. I fucked my back up again but now that i can walk without active pain I need to figure out where movement/action is for Palestine around here. The Fall Guy (2024) Cast, Release Date, Trailer
"Slated for a March 1, 2024 release by Universal Pictures, 'The Fall Guy' is a fresh take on the 1980s television series, now reimagined as an action comedy film under the direction of David Leitch with Drew Pearce's screenplay. The film brings together Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, telling the story of Colt, a stuntman whose best days seem behind him. He's thrown into a twisty scenario on a movie set, doubling for an A-list star he once stood in for. The plot thickens when the star disappears, prompting Colt to unravel the mystery, especially as the film's future is at stake and his ex-girlfriend is in the director's chair." 'The Fall Guy': Release Date, Cast, Plot
Riding high from his Oscar-winning performance as Cliff Booth in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," Brad Pitt joined forces with David Leitch for the action-comedy "Bullet Train." Similarly, Ryan Gosling, after turning heads with his portrayal of Ken in Greta Gerwig's "Barbie," is already a favorite for Best Supporting Actor this year. Now, Gosling is set to collaborate with Leitch in "The Fall Guy," an action-packed romantic comedy inspired by the 1980s series featuring Lee Majors. This film promises to blend high-octane action with comedic beats, capitalizing on the rich potential of its Hollywood stuntman narrative and the high-caliber talent involved.
The Fall Guy (2024) Cast
Ryan Gosling steps into the shoes of Colt Seavers, a seasoned stuntman, in "The Fall Guy," evoking his memorable role as The Driver in "Drive." Known for blending humor with charm, Gosling's comedic timing, as showcased in "Barbie" and "The Nice Guys," is anticipated to shine once more. Emily Blunt, fresh from her role in "Oppenheimer," portrays Jody Moreno, Colt's ex and a former stuntwoman turned director. Aaron Taylor-Johnson reunites with Leitch post "Bullet Train," embodying the missing star Tom Ryder. The ensemble includes Stephanie Hsu, Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham, and Teresa Palmer, with industry icon Lee Majors rumored for a cameo. The film has Gosling embracing stunt work, heightening the authenticity of his portrayal.
The Fall Guy (2024) Production
The development of a film adaptation of the 1980s series "The Fall Guy" has seen significant evolution over the years. Initially reported by the Los Angeles Times in July 2010, DreamWorks Pictures set the project in motion with producers Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald. Martin Campbell was in discussion to direct. The film's distribution was to be managed by DreamWorks through Walt Disney Studios' Touchstone Pictures label for certain regions, with Mister Smith Entertainment handling other territories. By September 2013, the production shifted with Dwayne Johnson in negotiations for the lead role and McG considered for the directorial role. Fast forward to September 2020, a new development surfaced with Ryan Gosling, director David Leitch, and writer Drew Pearce working on an "unnamed stuntman film" under Universal Pictures. It was in May 2022 when it was officially announced that this project was indeed the film adaptation of "The Fall Guy." This new rendition is backed by Universal with Leitch's 87North Productions and Entertainment 360, with production being led by Leitch, Kelly McCormick, Gosling, and Guymon Casady. Pearce serves as an executive producer along with Geoff Shaevitz and the original series creator, Glen A. Larson. Furthermore, the production received financial support from the Australian Government and the New South Wales state authorities, with contributions of A$30 million and A$14.5 million respectively. This investment by Australia was anticipated to significantly benefit the local economy, providing over 1,000 jobs for Australian cast and crew members, as well as involvement for more than 3,015 Australian film extras. Casting The casting for "The Fall Guy" film adaptation saw the addition of several notable actors over time. In September 2022, Emily Blunt was confirmed to join the cast. Around the same time, Ryan Gosling and his family moved to Australia to commence the filming process. A month later, in October 2022, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Stephanie Hsu were announced as part of the ensemble, with Taylor-Johnson having previously collaborated with director David Leitch on the movie "Bullet Train" (2022). The cast expanded further in November 2022, with Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham, and Teresa Palmer coming onboard. Filming Filming for "The Fall Guy" took place primarily in Sydney, Australia, with principal photography kicking off in October 2022. The production was set up at the Disney Studios Australia located in Moore Park, Sydney. The media captured scenes of night shoots at the Goulburn Street parking lot, where Ryan Gosling was spotted with long hair and a beard. A notable filming event included the temporary closure of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in January 2023 to accommodate scenes featuring Gosling. Filming concluded on March 2, 2023. Music The film's musical aspects were also given significant attention. Dominic Lewis was responsible for composing the score of "The Fall Guy." Additionally, country music artist Blake Shelton contributed to the soundtrack by covering "Unknown Stuntman," which was the theme song of the original series performed by Lee Majors.
What Is 'The Fall Guy' About?
"The Fall Guy" film adaptation centers on Colt Seavers, a stuntman currently without work, who receives an unexpected call from his former girlfriend, now making her directorial debut with a high-budget Hollywood film. He's brought on board to perform stunts for an up-and-coming, yet insufferable, action movie star. But when the star mysteriously disappears, Colt is thrust into a mission to locate and rescue him from the gritty depths of Hollywood, all while aiming to reignite an old romance, ensure the movie's completion, and cement his status as the top stuntman in the business. This narrative deviates from the original television series, where Lee Majors' Colt Seavers not only performed stunts but also led a double life as a bounty hunter, encountering a new adventure each week. Known for its spectacular stunts, action-packed scenes tailored to its budget, and a humorously self-aware tone, the series was a hallmark of its era. The upcoming movie intends to strike a different chord, with director David Leitch blending action with comedy in a fresh, engaging storyline that draws from his extensive experience in the stunt world.

New York City Fashion Diary: A Sneak Peek Into Local Style Icons' Wardrobes
Grasie is a multi-hyphenated creator of a writer and director as well as an actor as well as a photographer and visual artist. Her blog, aptly called Egg Canvas, features style and lifestyle posts that span from street to dapper. She is able to keep summer fashions current with a short boxy polka dot on brown linen dresses as well as well-fitted with shell and wood embossed jackets.
youtube
Cher Horowitz of "Clueless" Cher Horwitz is an Beverly Hills teenager who lives in a mansion along with her housekeepers. She's always informed about the happenings at her school, Bronson Alcott. She uses her social status to assist others in her vicinity. She even arranges a romantic relationship with two teachers to change her grade. Her outfit is a reflection of her personality, with the mix of incredibly juvenile outfits (strap tops over tees and dresses with bows that are under the bust) in addition to more mature pieces for older women (like jackets, suits and twinsets). Costume designers from the film mix this up by mixing very young and trendy styles together, like in the yellow plaid Dolce & Gabbana style that's been updated for this year's '90s style resurgence. Alicia Silverstone recently reprised her role as Cher for a Rakuten commercial that ran in the Super Bowl. The commercial is a remake of her iconic yellow plaid Dolce and Gabbana outfit, plus the other outfits she wore in the film. Holly Golightly, from "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Holly is a lively young girl who shares the same place as the story's narrator. Holly is able to sustain herself by dating rich men and getting cash from them. However, she doesn't give this information out to the Narrator. Audrey Hepburn's character is famous for her black dress that is adorned with an strand of pearls. When Paul visits her apartment, Holly tries to establish her own identity in the room by performing actions that are traditionally that are associated with men: she drinks alcohol, smokes a cigarette and wants to stay on his bed. The model also sports a casual jean outfit with the white kerchief tucked around her head and ballet slippers in black. She completes her look with a pair long black gloves, as well as kitten heels. Her most essential accessory but, it's her lavender earplugs, which she comically removes and then replaces in order to hear what her visitor is saying. Emily Cooper from "Sex and the City" Emily (Lily Collins) makes the move to Paris for work and the chance to make a new start. While her American confidence and determination led to her landing a job as a marketing manager dealing with French cultural norms proves to be a difficult task. She makes numerous mistakes due to her lack of French skills, for instance a embarrassing error in communication during a dinner, where she accidentally caught Camille loving Gabriel. Emily Like Carrie Bradshaw, is a woman who is balancing work, relationships, and emotions on a high-speed rollercoaster in this Golden Globe nominated series by Darren Star. The show may not be located in New York but it pays tribute to the city's first location by filming scenes at famous landmarks. Patricia Field, who designed the costumes for SATC is also responsible for Emily's glitzy Parisian look. Emily is similar to Carrie. She makes friends with older sophisticated women like Sylvie Grateau, Mathieu and Sylvie, and she has a relationship with a wealthy, sexy man. There is only one difference: Emily is a young woman and utilizes social media to document her experiences. Carrie is from "Sex and the City". Carrie Bradshaw is not one to hold back her opinions which is evident in her outfits. She wears what she wants without hesitation and mixes vintage kitschy with contemporary fashion. She mixes expensive designers like Oscar de la Renta and smaller brands. She also loves to pair floral dresses with pink trenchcoats, and striped sweatshirts. It's been four years since the last season of "Sex and the City" however, when the show will return with a new 10-episode series in the summer of 2012, viewers will find that Carrie and her co-stars are getting older (and possibly wiser) but still funny, sexy and smart. The new series will feature familiar faces like Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon. Kristina Davis, Willie Garson, and Kristina Davis, who was the first cast member, are also returning. Candice Bergen will also return in her role as Enid Frick Carrie's Vogue editor. Watch the YouTube video

So I watched season 6 of Gilmore Girls live and stopped watching as much not because of what happened, but what I knew was going to happen. I rage quit at the end of the season because I was right and didn't touch the show for several years.
Luke and Lorelai's home redecorating/dog storylines in early season six were intensely boring to me. I don't really watch for the mother/daughter aspects (I find Lorelai and Rory's relationship to actually be fairly toxic and codependent) but without Rory drifting into Stars Hollow every now and then Lorelai seems cut off from the larger community in a certain way. I wasn't enthralled by Rory basically becoming a high society automaton either. However, I think I could have stomached it if not for the rumors that started circulating a few episodes into the season.
I think if ASP were left to her own devices Lorelai and Christopher would have been endgame: during interviews, she was talking about how gorgeous and charming he was and how he and Lorelai would make the perfect couple but Luke and Lorelai was something she was going to put off as long as possible. She admitted back in season 5 that she wouldn't put Luke and Lorelai together unless she could secure Sutcliffe for guest appearances to make trouble. Combine this with her many elitist statements to the effect of she can't understand how people in small towns or the suburbs live the way that they do (they did not start last week) and it's pretty obvious why she prefers him. I knew she'd absolutely make a mess out of it once she brought Christopher back, and once that was announced as well as the ridiculous soap opera plot of Luke's secret daughter it was clear we were headed for disaster.
However, the last episode I watched all the way through was the USO cosplay episode, "We've Got Magic To Do."
Rory has become an adept party planner and Richard is horrified, despite this being a far more reliable career trajectory than journalism. He goes to Mitchum in the bathroom and berates Mitchum for "crushing" Rory's dreams while Mitchum says he gave Rory a honest critique. It's not like Rory is responsible for her own actions or anything (Mitchum certainly did not tell her she should go out and steal a boat, after all) because everything is Mitchum's fault. That's convenient.
Meanwhile, Emily mysteriously goes and berates Logan's mother for being a gold-digging trailer park whore and insists to her that Logan and Rory are FOREVER and no one is going to get in the way of their idyllic relationship. This makes absolutely no sense. Mitchum and Shira are Richard and Emily's social superiors. They were excited about Logan and Rory's relationship because it would allow them to move up in the world. Emily is not devastated that Rory quit Yale: she wanted to mold her into being the ideal society wife and marry Logan. Why on Earth is she alienating Shira in this way, who will only push harder against her? After all, Rory was on the way to doing what both Shira and Emily wanted, which was to excel at being a corporate wife and not working. Why did Shira need dressing down and wouldn't Emily be wise enough not to risk this kind of confrontation? Wouldn't this actually speed up Logan and Rory's imminent breakup?
They split up about three weeks later, by the way. Way to go, Emily.
But hey, it's ICONIC because Rory is the heroine and the Huntzbergers are the villains who upset her and ASP gets to write a speech about how Shira is trash because she used to be poor. I can see why she was excited about that, especially since season six clearly wanted to push Rory and Lorelai into the rich kids sandbox while their more down to earth love interests are rejected for having more plebeian values. I honestly don't know how Jess escaped all of this with his dignity intact (Luke certainly didn't) but if ASP had stuck around I'm guessing she would have messed that up, too.
Anyway. That little speech of Emily's to Shira isn't something to praise. It's illogical, out of character, and seems to be largely put into place to reflect the writer's biases

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Review: Bustin Has Never Felt So Good
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire swoops into the franchise with the thunderous claps of supernatural comedy and heartfelt moments that its predecessors are known for. Directed by Gil Kenan and co-written with Jason Reitman, this sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife manages to maintain the delicate balance of nostalgic reverence and fresh innovation. In this iteration, we see a harmonious blend of the original Ghostbusters cast and the vibrant new generation taking on an otherworldly threat in a bustling New York City setting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hjlyknlTaw Two years have elapsed since the events of Afterlife, and the narrative takes an ambitious leap. The Spengler family, along with their quirky companion Gary Grooberson (played with effortless charm by Paul Rudd), relocate to New York City, reinvigorating the iconic firehouse with new life and ambitions. The storyline excels in weaving the warm essence of familial ties with the expansive lore of the Ghostbusters universe. It's not just about zapping ghosts anymore; it's about legacy, friendship, and the continual fight between good and eerie evil. The addition of Kumail Nanjiani as Nadeem Razmaadi brings a delightful freshness to the cast. Nanjiani infuses his role with a charismatic vulnerability and timely humor that beautifully contrasts the stoic dedication of Mckenna Grace's Phoebe Spengler. This dynamic adds a rich layer to the ensemble, further enhancing the chemistry among the team members. Grace continues to shine in the role as well, taking the reigns of the franchise once again. She more than proves that she's one of the most talented actors working today as Phoebe. It's only a matter of time before Grace wins her very first Oscar and I can't wait for that day to come. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson slip back into their roles with such ease that it feels like no time has passed at all. Their characters act as the bridge between past and present, offering wisdom, wit, and the occasional eye-roll-worthy dad joke. It's a pleasure to see them on screen, guiding the new generation and, at times, being wonderfully outsmarted by them. The plot of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is as chilling as it is exhilarating. An ancient artifact unleashes a formidable adversary, aiming to create a second Ice Age. The film cleverly navigates its narrative through thrilling action sequences, punctuated by genuinely hilarious moments. The script is sharp, littered with Easter eggs for the dedicated fans, and accessible humor for newcomers. However, where Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire truly excels is in its heart. It never loses sight of the emotional core that made Ghostbusters: Afterlife so compelling. The intergenerational bonds, the struggle for acceptance, and the discovery of self-worth are themes expertly threaded throughout the ghost-chasing escapades. This emotional depth is where the film earns its stripes, proving that even amidst the most laugh-out-loud sequences, there's room for a tear or two. The visual effects are a spectacular highlight, blending the familiar proton-pack streams with new, innovative spectral manifestations. The visually stunning spectral army is a formidable antagonist force. The icy grip of the Frozen Empire is felt visually and narratively. It creates for a unique aesthetic for the film that stands out in the franchise. Where the film slightly falters is in its pacing. At times, the narrative seems to rush through pivotal scenes, sacrificing potential character development for spectacle. The action sequences are thrilling and exciting. But a more measured approach could have given depth to the newer characters, like Emily Alyn Lind and James Acaster. Their potential feels slightly underexplored, a minor blemish in an otherwise captivating film. The climax of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a whirlwind of emotions and special effects. It brings together all the elements that make the film such a joyous experience. It manages to close the chapter on a high note while leaving the door ajar for future adventures. This ending encapsulates the film's spirit — a blend of farewell and promise, encapsulating the eternal cycle of legacy and innovation. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of the franchise. It honors its past while fearlessly charging into the future, equipped with a proton pack full of laughs, scares, and heart. This film is not just a successful sequel; it's a loving homage to the series and a bold step forward. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a newcomer, there's something in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire for everyone to enjoy. It's a supernatural comedy that doesn't just aim to entertain but to remind us of the power of legacy, and a good ghost story. Read the full article
