I'm tired and starting a new project tomorrow so I don't have time to figure out how to arrange proper words about it, but here's a bullet point list of awesome things about today!

Went to Half Price Books to FINALLY sell my stuff, found an entire cart of $3 romances that had JUST been put on clearance today, most of which look brand new. Picked up one on my TBR that my library doesn't have, one on my wishlist, and one from an author I haven't tried but whom a book blogger with similar tastes loves (and I really liked the first chapter I read).

Then came home & watched...

Another episode of Geek Girl (I'm halfway through and am so full of thoughts!! but for now: I didn't actually know this was a book series until the end of episode 1, but the show so far is ADORABLE)

The Babysitters Club movie from 1995 that I've seen once but didn't remember, and OMG PERFECT CASTING. Instant childhood happy place despite not having read one of the books in over 20 years.

My first episode of Walker: Independence (it only took me 21 months to get here) and it's ridiculous and laughable and I love it/can't wait for more.

And back to Netflix shows based on British teen fiction, I am HYPED for the arrival next month of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, a book series I have read and loved and am very excited about seeing translated to the screen.

Remind me that sometime soon I need to make a post about everything else I'm excited to watch, because I'm finally watching quality things again and it's amazing. But for now, bed.

7. what animal do you look forward to seeing when you visit an aquarium? I am absolutely terrified of the ocean but ocean creatures are some of my favorites, so I'd say jellyfish, octopus, sea turtles, and any/all sharks.

11. anything from your childhood that you've held onto? Other than my social anxiety? I think my dad has my childhood stuffed animals and my baby blanket in storage somewhere, but moving around a lot doesn't allow for many keepsakes.

17. an anxious compulsion you do everyday? I am a very very anxious person, but most of my compulsive tendencies really only show up when I'm out in public, so right now I'm golden lol

I think there’s definitely a generational gap here, because I’m thirty-two and I’d personally consider the BSC to be hugely famous. I grew up with the books, watched re-runs of the short-lived Nickelodeon series and have seen the 1995 movie many times, so of course I was going to watch the reboot as soon as it came out! I imagine the books aren’t nearly as popular now as they used to be. The last one came out in 2000, I think? I was twelve at that point. Damn. Now I feel ancient.
