It’s your fault that you waited this long to pick out a present for Jungkook.

Work has been so hectic with your back-to-back promotions (the most recent one having you camp out for a game show) that Jungkook’s birthday had just kind of flitted at the edge of your mind, his presence always assuring you that you could turn off your brain whenever you’re with him.

When you’re with your husband, you don’t have to worry if you left the stove on or if you kept the water running. You don’t have to look both ways when you’re crossing the street and neither do you have to double-check if you put your car on park. As soon as you strip yourself from your work clothes, Jungkook takes over as the only functioning brain for you both — so much so, you forget that it’s already your husband’s birthday tomorrow.

“Ugh, your iPad must be so old already, huh?” you snicker, narrowing your eyes at the device that Jungkook’s mindlessly doodling on. He furrows his brows at that, chuckling at your expression that seems hellbent on gaslighting him into thinking that it really is old.

“You just got me this last month.”

“I did?” you sputter, eyes widening slightly until you remember that you did just gift it to him randomly. You recover from your surprise quickly, clearing your throat. “Ah, you must be on your iPad then because your desktop’s gotten slow now.”

Jungkook fully stops what he’s doing this time, a budding smirk growing on his face. He doesn’t know exactly what you’re playing at but he thinks it has something to do with him being an appreciative househusband (is that what you were getting at?), slipping his mind likewise that it’s literally his birthday tomorrow.

“Baby, you upgraded my setup for our anniversary, remember?”

“I knew that,” you purse your lips, the defensive scoff leaving you convincing him for now. God knows how shitty of an actress you could be when the cameras aren’t pointed on you and you’re facing Jungkook of all people, but with his brain doing the heavy lifting for the both of you at the moment, it hasn’t sunk in him yet that you’re looking for a specific answer — a specific gift.

You already have two cakes and atleast you’ve got that part covered for your husband’s birthday, your indecisiveness letting it peek through that you’re attempting to overcompensate for your forgetfulness. The first one was just the same exact ice cream cake that Jungkook asked for earlier and the second one’s a little more expensive and a little less over-the-counter; a little more of you trying to make up for the possibility that you can’t brainstorm of a gift within the day.

It’s only half an hour until midnight and yet even if you already called absent for work the next day, you still can’t be placated without holding something, anything to present Jungkook for his birthday.

“I don’t think I can hold out until 12,” Jungkook yawns, already tucking his face against your neck. He pretends to snore obnoxiously but he doesn’t even know if he was only kidding around at this point, the need to succumb to the covers overtaking him than meeting another year of his life on the dot.

“What are you so sleepy for?” you hum, combing your hand through his hair. He visibly shudders at your touch and you feel comforted enough just by giving Jungkook extra attention, momentarily releasing your stress from racking your brain alone.

“Crochet,” he mumbles, pressing one chaste kiss to your collarbone before rubbing his head against you. You’re practically cradling him in your arms at this point and he doesn’t mind one bit, even if you inch him closer and closer to his side of the bed to tuck him in. “Was crocheting hats for Miso all morning when you were gone.”

“She hates hats,” you snort, stroking his hair gently.

“She can suck it up. I’m literally allergic to her but she’s been with us for years,” he huffs, readjusting his position on the bed whilst cuddling up to you. “Besides, I made it for the three of us so we can wear it when we take pictures with the cake.”

You’ve never been more awed.

Your brain has been scrambled for the past week yet this is the surest it’s ever been when you think to yourself that Jungkook is unbelievably real and in your grasp, painstakingly endearing and lovable.

“You’re so-…” you clear your throat, the sudden wave of emotion catching you off-guard. You look down on Jungkook but he’s already passed out, the light snoring almost making you laugh if not for your sudden burst of motivation to go to the bathroom.

It’s a sudden urge in your brain that just appears, only willing to be quelled if you just opened the drawer and took out the box of pregnancy tests that remained untouched since your purchase last week.

It’s a sudden stillness in your heart that comes out when you don’t even hold your breath to look at the results, the word pregnant as clear as the two solid lines that stare back at you.

It’s a sudden purpose that builds in your entire being when you practically jump out of the shower and look for an empty jewelry case in your vanity, fingers shaky as you encase the positive test with resoluteness.

It’s midnight when you shake Jungkook awake so hard that he genuinely thinks there’s an earthquake, arms sleepily jolting to cover his head and nape. He blinks away the sleepiness until he settles on your face, a smile immediately gracing his visage.

“Another one?” he chuckles, taking the case from you. “You already gave me a bracelet two weeks ago.”

You have no words when you shake your head, the words that are just dying to be squealed out remaining on your throat. Your husband looks at you in mischief, eyebrows playfully furrowed until he opens up the case.

Jungkook doesn’t know how to react point-blank but he knows the incredible warmth that spreads around him, eyes immediately watering when he looks up at you.

“Happy birthday,” you whisper, bottom lip already trembling. “You’re gonna be a dad.”

The start of the trip with Morga was not working out. Tad can’t walk so far on such different terrain, but they had to get going. Muriel was considering carrying her, but didn’t feel like he knew her enough to ask — until Morga played wingwoman and straight up told Muriel to carry her.

Tad felt horrible about the situation but Muriel assured her, “It’s fine…”

The whole trip, she was very gentle and patient with him, but she struggled with holding back from touching him. She wanted to put her hand on his, rub his back, comb his hair, and she sometimes couldn’t stop herself. Muriel would flinch back, but one day, he let her in. They had to work together.

Post-route, the two agreed to live with each other. She would cook tasty meals and he would clean as always. It was hard at first, but only because Muriel was just getting used to doing the things Asra would do for her. She couldn't lift jugs, chop wood, or go on long patrols, but she found ways to get by.

Some things she could use magic for. A quick dusting, levitation for high up shelves, etc. She also has a knack for crocheting and sewing so Muriel now has a nice drawer full of fitted homemade clothing.

One investment they made was a big futon they could roll out in front of the fireplace for extra chilly winters. Tad LIVES on that thing and Muriel can't blame her... Well, if you can't beat em, join em.

Inanna was standoffish at first but luckily Tad loves to baby animals, and a big scary wolf was no exception. Their naps sync up. 🥺

Due to her condition, Tad’s brain can sometimes be a little empty. Her memory and processing declined and she has trouble with basic tasks. It’s a soft spot for her, so Muriel is just as patient with her as she is with him. He waits as long as he needs for her to finish her thoughts. He reciprocates her actions back to her. He pets her head, holds her hands, and rests his head on her.

which character(s) turned out differently from what you had planned? how so?

Olive has turned out really differently than what I had planned! I had her playing Dougie and DeMarco off against each other initially, a bit of a spitfire, someone that was rough and tumble. I just couldn't do it! I needed her tough at first then her exterior softened by love and friendship. She deserves it 🥺

if your character(s) had their own new years resolutions, what would those be?

Olive's would be to take care of herself more and try live more in the moment. Jean’s would be to pick up a hobby other than cocktail making, such as crocheting, painting etc.

Oh Auntie Janet will be the first to know and the first person to bring gifts even before the girls were born. And yes r definitely makes their clothes! Like I imagine that even while she's in labour and literally laying down on the hospital bed, she's still knitting or stitching up clothes for them, meanwhile Hobie's like: that's my girl, pushing out babies and making clothes at the same time. But inside he's panicking bc the babies are coming! And R's like: this is fine 🙂

I think we’ve touched on it before - The missus and Harry visiting her nana in a care home with baby D for the first time 🥺 seeing her in the lounge with other residents and just being so surprised and emotional seeing her great grand baby 🥺

it's been a while rhythm!! how is everyhting??

i have yet to read some of your latest works, but life has been a little bit hard lately and i found myself missing our dearest pack 🥺 unfortunately i don't have time rn to re read my fav one shots, but this week it's being kind of a parenthesis and i can breathe a little 一some needed rest before i dive in university life again.

i've seen what other anons said about the girls gang (wereroomies, i mean) hanging out together and supporting each other. even with their hobbies, and i keep finding confort on pretty because i feel like i have so much in common with her. those asks helped me a lot because university is a lonely period, at least at the beginning and in my experience, so reading about how they enjoy their time together made me realise i have to appreciate those little moments i have with my friends (who aren't studying the same degree as me, unfortunately i don't see them as much as i would like to).

these months have made me more mature, but in a good way. i have been carrying a very heavy load for years and little by little i'm noticing how it weighs me less and less, so i'm very happy rn. i'm in that kind of mood when i want to spread that happiness with everyone (so if you're reading this, known that you're amazing and loved and you deserve so much more that you think you do ♡).

yes! i like to think pretty does crochet as a hobby, she just seems like she would, for some reason??? so yes hahah. i want to include it on an actual instalment at some point. it's cool that you picked it up too, though! it's really fun imo. putting a nice playlist or some video essay on youtube while you crochet is a good way to de-stress mewhehe.

i think my fave songs from the album so far are megaverse and social path (kor ver). all of them are good, but those two have me in a chokehold for sure.

as for your question...... here's the thing. werewolves live in packs for a reason, right? so, their pack was probably the biggest support they had in moments like those. i suppose they would've tried to lean on their friends, or to try and step back for a moment to put things into perspective. engaging in activities outside of school was probably a good outlet as well (like going on wolf runs, or going for a walk), just things they could do to remind themselves that there was life outside uni, and that ultimately it wasn't a race, they were there to learn, so as long as they learnt a bit, they could take their time.

i feel like Chris particularly would've struggled a lot, considering he was living alone alone during his first and second year. i can see him making the extra effort to meet with changbin and jisung weekly (or every two weeks) to avoid lone wolf syndrome.

hello tis i 🎸 anon reporting back with a post date/hang out update

I was soooooooooooo nervous driving there it was crazy. I ended up missing the turn to his road and had to go on a ten minute detour so I got to calm myself down a little more but then I was trying to get to his house and then I PASSED IT and had to turn around and ended up texting him to have him stand outside so I wouldn't pass it again. And so he hopped in my car and I was kinda sad cause I wanted to see the chickens they have lmao but we started driving to the cat cafe and we were just talking about literally anything and I can't believe I was so nervous about being in the car with him, it went completely fine! But he was so excited for the cat cafe and the coffee it was actually kind of adorable. We got there and he paid for my coffee 🥺 and to visit the cats even tho I tried to pay for that 🥺 and he wanted to take home every single cat 🥺 and then we went to dinner and I tried sushi for the first time and it was actually good! I had a hell of a time with the chopsticks though, he finished eating way before me. 😂 and he paid for our food 🥺 and he was always opening the door for me 🥺 and we drove back to his house (AND I MISSED THE TURN FOR HIS HOUSE AGAIN) and I like formally met his dad instead of just a quick hi at the concert a few weeks ago and I got to pet one of their chickens and his dad gave me a dozen eggs 😂😂 and I pet most of their cats. And I got another hug when I left. And as I was driving home he texted saying he hoped I had a good time and I told him I did and that I hoped he did too. And then I ended up telling him we'd have to do it again and he said he was down for it. And he just snapchatted me a little while ago again saying he had a good day today 🥺 also im crocheting him a mini version of his guitar

Baby knits 🥺🥺

No, I'm not pregnant. Look at this blog.. come on people.. you know I'm single. BUT MY BROTHER ISN'T SO I'VE BECOME AN AUNT IN THESE RECENT MONTHS AND THEREFORE: BABY KNITS!! 🥳🥳🥳

A little puppy sweater 🥺🥺I loved the knitting, hated the embroidery...

And a little cardigan with two crocheted hearts 🥰 This was supposed to have an embroidered bee but... read the previous paragraph 😶 The greys are nearly similar, one is just a wee shader lighter than the other and currently I'm knitting, this time in woolly yarn and not cotton, a little sweater-cardi set too.

This was the first time I've ever knit anything in a raglan style and I need to make some stuff for myself in this style too. This other set I'm working on will have a round yoke which is also something I've never knit before but I want to try out. And what's a better way to try out knitting styles than making wee tiny clothes? 🥺

*note: these have a long tail cast on and the very basic cast off style, which are usually how I make most of my garments. BUT I've been trying to improve myself and try different things so this set I'm working on I'm using the Italian cast-on and cast-off instead, will be trying two different methods for the cast-on too and seeing which one I like best

1) before he discovered crochet as a hobby, Richie used to knit - one of the first things he ever did was a pair of mittens for Kirsty, which have since been passed on to baby Victoria.

2) The twins where worried about how Eeyore and Darling and Binx would get along the animals all love each and it’s the cutest thing. 🥺

3) Richie - & Charles - with Finn’s help, got a suite in one of Finn’s family’s hotel to use for winter break while Kirsty was in New York so the twins wouldn’t be separated while she was in tNutcracker. (Once Richard gifts Kirsty the apartment, they stay there instead.)

4) Ft. James - whenever James got sick in winter but Kirsty was mostly fine, she and Richie would work together to make him and Luke a care package of pre-pepped soups and other meals.
