I feel like this credit thing is being overblown or maybe taken out of context bc when a3 went on ebs space symphony and they performed songs written by jinyoung and baro they were credited every time at the bottom of the screen so?? i mean i wouldn't put it past wm to be petty about something like this but i think this whole thing is a bit of a stretch and probably more coincidence/circumstance than anything (altho i'm open to being proved wrong lol)

also adding on bc i was just watching their performances at bof 2021 when they performed what's happening and baby goodnight both jinyoung and baro were credited there too so im not entirely sure what the idea behind only crediting them sometimes would be ?

Exactly, that's what I meant when I was saying WM can't just take Jinyoung's credits away, and the EBS and BOF performances are perfect examples of that-- when they have to give song credits, of course they have to give them to Jinyoung and/or Baro. Like, legally they have too lol.

I think the difference is that in the MMTG ep OMG appeared on, they weren't performing those songs-- they were just talking about them and showing old music show clips. I bet if they actually performed it live, then they would have (possibly would have had to) give song credits. But since they were just talking about it generally, it wasn't necessary.

And that is where I think WM's callousness can sometimes come into play? lol Like you said, I don't think we should put in past WM that if they don't have to mention Bayoung, they aren't going to. Just the fact they weren't even shown in past vids/photos as OT5 for their 10th anniversary lol, WM has made it very clear that they will NOT be showing or referencing them in anyway they can help it.

But this is also where I think people are blowing it out of proportion, too? Because like I said in the other ask anon sent and what @quicktothebatjalopy and I were discussing in the replies, this is not only what we have come to expect with WM, but also just how things are done with companies in Korea in general. When a member leaves (with rare exceptions of course) it's like they never existed. That's just how it's done. So Jinyoung's not gonna be any exception to that, and I doubt he really GAF anyways.

Hi love~ How are you? I hope the new year has been treating you good! I’m not sure if you’ve already answered this but what do you think of Jinyoung still having B1A4 in his IG bio? And the fact that he still follows the members? I recently went down a rabbit hole of 2nd gen K-pop groups and rediscovered my love and longing for the old B1A4. It makes me so sad that so many people are forgetting these groups who us “old” K-pop fans treasured and adored.

eh idk, I don't really think much of it tbh. At this point, he's kept it in his bio now for the past 3 and a half years since he left so I'm sure he's going to keep it in there. This, and the fact that he still follows the members, I have mentioned before is because I think he really has no other option. Unfollowing or taking B1A4 out of his profile will make it clear that he left B1A4 when this whole time he has been saying the opposite-- despite what the rest of his actions may show.

Ugh I know, all of my favorite groups were from 2/2.5 gen so I get it. What I miss the most is that I liked how groups from that era lacked a certain polish that made them seem more genuine in their desire to just do the best they could without expecting global domination or hundreds of millions of youtube views. I miss the quirkiness of it, I guess.

if i had to guess i would say cube, except for the fact that gfriend and seventeen (as the current main moneymakers of source and pledis) are the pinnacle of unproblematic faves/gp sweethearts like...they don't say jack shit their reps are truly flawless and i feel like thats a selling point, albeit not the biggest. seventeen and gfriend are like...so unproblematic its actually crazy, like i'd say loona is super unproblematic and they've never said or done anything like that but they don't have that international branding of being unproblematic...does that make sense? probably not.

all that to say, i think cube has too many scandals for bh to want to acquire (bh ain't looking for any problems, no ty).

on the other hand, cube has amazing trainees locked in their dungeons (lee joohyun, female middle school jungkook please watch her dance vids omg, comes to mind) that could kill if they were managed by big hit/jointly manages btwn bh and cube.

the main selling point of svt/pledis and gf/source is that they've achieved so much success already with their own respective agencies. like, bighit is not trying to start any passion projects here, lmao. they want to capitalize on existing success and help them experience prolonged success, which i respect tbh.

i also dont think they'll acquire cube bc the only group that fits bh's buying profile thus far is idle (see above), but i dont think they're enough to be a selling point nor do i think their sound aligns like bh/pledis/source does so far.

starship, fnc, and wm, with mx/wjsn/everglow, aoa/cherry bullet/sf9/nflying, b1a4/omg/onf are all about the right size for bh to acquire but im not sure they will for various reasons:

mx is gaining in the west! they would allow bh to maintain a stronghold in the abroad/give bts a break/open a new revenue stream for bh

but the wonho "scandal" :(

wjsn fits the profile in terms of talent but they're not doing well enough on their own

stable fanbase though, might be worth investing in and attempting to grow

same for everglow actually

i think overall starship would fit bh but the main complications are:

1. partnership btwn yueha and starship, all chinese members of ss groups are yueha artists, idk how contracts would work but it seems tough

2. ss has been super successful on produce (all of their new groups have at least one pd winner (or might have one joining soon)) which is tough with the scandal. bh likes clean slates is my impression

3. ss is planning to debut a new bg, which could be a good thing except they'll most likely have a fresh concept (source: hyeongjun's face and perm and general demeanor) which might conflict with txt. bh is also long overdue for a gg which leads into the next point:

4. ss probably doesnt have female trainees to offer bc they just debuted everglow

5. sistar was such a big iconic group idk if ss would feel some typa way about being acquired tbh

nflying would def diversify bh's portfolio, i believe that day6 has been charting a little better as of late but nflying is pretty much the best moneymaking band otherwise (and bh cant acquire jyp so)

cb...isnt really doing well imo, so bh wouldn't necessarily gain from a money perspective

i think omg would be a really good acquisition for bh actually! like they just need money and to nail down their dual concept thing

idk much about onf but they seem to be a different concept than txt so they wouldn't clash much

b1a4 is basically gone but their composers would be even more legendary with money

similar to prev. comment about sistar and aoa, i dont think dsp (kara), woolim (infinite), or jellyfish (vixx) would go for a merger for the same reason.

i could see mbk (t-ara) thinking the same, esp with their pdx success but they're messy bitches so anything's possible lmao

i think bh stands a good chance at acquiring fantiago (weki meki, astro) though, for p obvious reasons. wm and astro haven't been as popular as svt and gfriend though, so they would be a bit of a project for bh.

companies i want bh to acquire:

blockberry (loona), so long as bh only provides money, connections, and funny variety content and doesn't touch their concept. bh would also give them more rapping i think, which i support. loona has proven international success so i think it could happen

8d creative (onlyoneof) this would never happen but i need to get these boys some better exposure and more money. pls all of the blurry girls who didnt make loona are trainees here so bh could source their new gg. oof's concept doesn't conflict with txt's either!

i decided that in spite of the above i want bh to acquire starship and yueha. give these kids ur money. bring uniq back. yueha would also help them establish a foothold in china, which they dont currently have

My Fangirl Life

I think being a fangirl was one of my talent hahaha because I have been able to withstand anything. I have been a self proclaimed ACTIVE fangirl since 2009 it has been over a decade so I though maybe I can list all the artist that I have supported throughout the years (I am a fan of a lot but I will only list those artist that I have an active participation to): 1. AJ Perez (PH : 2009) - as far as I can remember he is the one whom I really thought of liking, because of his handsome face and acting who will not like him. So imagine my reaction when I heard he passed away, I am clearly shocked as when I woke up my cousins told me about it with the phrase 'di ba siya yung gusto mo'. After that I remember following all the news and even her gf then on any updates. I wanted to visit his funeral that time but I can't coz my parents won't allow me. Fun fact : I never stopped following AJ's twitter until now. 2. Melai and Jason Francisco (PH : 2009) - They are the reason I was hooked with Pinoy Big Brother before. Their uncanny lovestory made my heart giddy back then. I remember creating a PEX (Pinoy Exchange) account just to chat with my fellow fans, even though I am just in high school. 3. Ivan Dorschner and Fritzie Bercede (PH : 2010) - Just like MelAson, this hype was caused by PBB as I am already in PEX looking for this threads are easy already. I made a lot of things for them and I even sew their couple name (VanZie) 4. Mario Maurer and Baifern Pimchanok (TH : 2010) - As I can say the first foreign act I put as my profile picture. I am already unto KDrama that time but they just passed by. This love team made me feel happiness. They reason why I knew them because my 4th year High School adviser made us watch Crazy Little Thing Called love and just like that I was hooked. Even time have passed I still love and follow them on their sns. And that one time they visited Manila I waited for hours just so I can see them upclose (I am in the barricade). Especially now they will be back together made me happier and excited. 5. Jhake Vargas and Bea Binene (PH : 2011) - One of the most unforgettable artist for me. As I always say , I may not be able to stay but they always have a special part in my heart. Because of them FIRST TIME in my life I am not treated just a fan but also a friend. The feeling for the first time the artist knows ypu in person and never forget you. I am thankful for them as this was the time I was full on fangirl. I learn to go out because of tapings and mallshows. I learn how to organize events as I was an active part of the fanbase. I also knew the local stations here how they operate a show and treat artist. These two brought happiness toy freshman years and I am grateful for them, I am always here watching them grow and I was happy and proud. 6. Demi Lovato (US : 2011) - This was the time I was so into the Disney shows and this girl caught my attention because of her vocal prowess and her chemistry with Sterling Knight made me swoon. Because of her I experienced my first ever concert. My active days with her was short but I never stop looking forward to her works and continue to listen to her songs. 7. Ella Cruz (PH : 2012) - Liking her came as a surprise, to be honest at first I was just curious to see her because of Aryana (drama) that I enjoyed. So I tag along with my friends and met her after that when she welcomed us with open arms. We decided we should support her as she is an amazing actress and a humble person. I am proud to say that I saw her when she was still a teenager and saw her grow into this wonderful woman she is today. Until now I am still part of Ellamazing and do not regret every second of it. Because her and her family didn't just treat us as fans but also as a friend and family. She even is very supportive of my K(everything) addiction. What more can I ask for an artist, right? 8. Girls Generation (KR : 2012) - After the constant push of my friend to watch their performances and even reality show, I finally gave in to the trap. I think I made a decision after I watched Hush Hush by Taeyeon. I said this group has talent and they are very new to me. My active days for them might be a brief moment but they are still a very dear to my heart and still follow their releases. I even made effort to see Sooyoung (my bias) when I visited Korea last year. They are still I can proudly say, my best girl group. 9. Henry (KR : 2013) - This is the first guy I called ny husband, because I was into support ships or girls this is a step up. Because of the bubble of SM Family, I got to know Super Junior but instead of liking the principal members this guy caught my attention. Because he can speak so many language, can play different instruments, can sing and dance at the same time, a composer, a cook, an actor, a comedian and a sweetheart. I have never seen a guy like that before that is why I was head over heels for him. Right now, I still follow his activities and even watched his vlogs. I may just be a quiet supporter but I still cherish this man. I can and will never forget. 10. BTS (KR : 2014) - It is already very visible that I really like BTS. I joined a lot of fanclub activities even hosted and volunteer on events. More over out of all of the artist I liked they are the longest I have been very active to, for foreign artist. But this is the group I am the most dedicated to. And to be honest, I already gave myself the ultimatum that they will be the last artist I will support like this, and will not add anymore because when the time comes I already want to focus on myself.
