Basically I'm Gay means everything to me.

I've identified as bisexual since I was 12 years old, I've been following dnp since I was barely 13 years old. When they say queer people flock together, they mean it. Especially when you're a queer kid who actively hates themselves for being queer, you look for comfort and support in older queer people. Watching dnp was that comfort for me for years. They helped me feel less wrong and weird for being queer.

They were the first queer couple I saw who were 5/6 years into their relationship and still happy. They made me feel safe to be queer and to one day fine someone who brings me that form of comfort. They made me think being queer wasn't something to be ashamed of.

When Dan came out, talking about his own experience with being queer and hating himself for it and how he feels, I felt seen. Dan put the words I felt at 12, 13, 14 into a youtube video where he came out and spoke proudly about himself and his own sexuality. Dans coming out video genuinely change me as a person. Even now I watch it in awe.

Dan's video also made me make this blog, idk if the url or title gives it away. But this blog helped me make friends, meet people I love, and change me. I met my partner via this blog, because of Dan's coming out video. This video changed my life in the same way it changed Dan's.
