It's so interesting watching shadowbringer cutscenes again and knowing what I know now, just how much Emet-Selch talks to you/your soul/whoever tf you are bc I still have to play endwalker. It's not "I will bring back MY breathen", it's "I will bring back OUR brethern"

And like yes the argument could easily be made that the OUR is the Ascians in general, but do you really think he wouldn't continue to try and reach out to YOU? Even at the end, try and find the words that will make it click for you? This dramatic bitch is intentional with everything he does, I'm almost certain he's knowingly talking to our soul throughout various points of the story.

Another thing I love about the Dawntrail MSQ is that after it is finished and our WoL picks up the world fusion key, they pocket it and nobody is objecting to it. Like, they KNOW that is the safest place it will ever be.
