#i actually have a hc about this#so in s1e11 one of the old ppl mentions the 'creme de imperium' which is supposedly Really Good .#i like to imagine that imperium has limited trade with the outside world#they save all the best for their trading the empress#and the highest ranks of imperium#so average citizens get the most Basic things while noblefolk - who are more privy to imperium info and more loyal - get better stuff
