Once you are done with the elemental mech shorts and start season 2, there is one more thing you might want to watch. There is this clip on the official Lego YouTube channel called "Ras at shadow dojo". It is the literal first minute of S2 ep1, so you would neither get spoiled, nor miss anything. And watching it would be worth it for the meme, as this clip has gained a certain infamy among the fandom, more specifically sending almost everyone insane about mid February this year. So if you want to, watch it and be told the story behind it

since you‘re already halfway through season one of dr, i just wanted to inform you of some other ninjago stuff before season 2.

Firstly there are the elemental mech shorts, which are a series of three shorts taking place between seasons 1 and 2. Those are up on youtube, but don‘t look at them yet, the thumbnails contain spoilers for s 1. They are canon to season 2 and explain some stuff in that season, so they are pretty helpful to watch.

Then there is the ninjago and dreamzzz crossover special, which is not canon and not that well written, but a little goof to watch if you want. It‘s 22 minutes, so the length of an episode and also up on youtube. while it isn‘t canon to ninjago, it might be canon to dreamzzz, so if you want to liveblog that series at some point in the future, best to wait with the special till then.

Thanks! I think a few other people mentioned the Dreamzzz special. I don't really have any plans to watch the series, so I've already added it to my schedule. I'll most likely end up watching it either the same day or the day or the day before the shorts (need to add those in).

since the three episodes of season 3 are each about 45 minutes, are you gonna watch them each in one or each split in two parts?

also since season 3 is so short there is no hidden sentence with the episodes‘ first letters, there is however one with the full first words

I will be breaking up the episodes. There would be no way for me to finish a single 45 minute episode with the way I'm liveblogging now. I'm not pulling another Embrace Your Destiny 7 hour liveblog. 😨 I don't think I'd even have the energy to do that again.

The first episode I'm only going to be able to do 10 to 15 minutes tomorrow. That's really all my time will allow, but the rest will be in in half.

I think I remember seeing that somewhere, but honestly I could be mistaking it for a Marvel movie poster bc I swear it looks just like 1.

Couldn't find if you answered this yet, but since dragons rising season 2 part 2 leaked way ahead of schedule, are you going to watch it sometime after lmk season 5 and thus probably before the official release, or are you going to watch it when it officially releases sometime in early October?

I'm going to hold off watching NDR until it's officially released in October. I've managed to avoid all spoilers for it so far, so I think I'll be good until then.

just a quick heads up for when lmk season 5 releases and you watch it: we recently got a trailer along with confirmation that the animation has gone from flying bark to wildbrain, so there are gonna be some slight changes in animation style.

these are the rest of the sets, closeups of all the knights except axl, Monstrux in his spider-platform-hologram form, one of the generic infectobyters, a corrupted squirebot(cyberbyter), specifically Dennis(differentiated by the arm cannon), one of the little spiders Monstrux used to spread his infection, an example of one of the Merlok powers(crossbow of Merlok) and some of the character bios from one of the magazines

also Robin (and presumably Ava) would have gotten older, with Robin being pretty close to an official knight now. The power Hammer of Merlok would have been named after his weapon in the set

lastly Monstrux‘ digital form actually had a render, used here in a commercial for the Merlok 2.0 app.

Oooooooooo There's so much to absorb here.

i know it‘s too late for the current poll, but for the one after the next series you watch, might i suggest the lego hidden side miniseries(a bunch of 4 minute episodes on youtube + one 45 minute halloween special, night of the harbinger) and/or lego friends the next chapter?

if you need another suggestion for the next series poll after dragons rising and you haven‘t seen it yet, might i suggest She-ra and the princesses of power? it is a really good show and has a really endearing story. It also has swords, magic and a communist unicorn
