I'll be answering this since some of the others (Four, Three, Puzzles, SMG1) are too embarassed to answer! Alright, so, SMG4 and SMG3 are currently pining over eachother, Axol and Melony are dating, Puzzles has a crush on Mario and i think Mario likes him back, SMG1 and Bob like eachother, Saiko and Tari are dating, and so are Meggy and Desti.

Considering that I've finally got a chance to saw Beetlejuice's Sequel after re-watching the First One, I'd always had in mind of drawing an SMG4 Spoof of Beetlejuice featuring the Titular Mr. Puzzles as Beetlejuice as well as including one of my Favorite SMG4 Ships that are Canon, Melony & Axol as The Maitlands.

While drawing this, I'd also thought why not make the Outfits from the Movie be a mixture between both from the Original and the SMG4 Characters' Outfits into One Fusion Fashion.

I know that Axol is canonically dead and that either SMG4/SMG3 or Mario/Meggy (or any other Partner "Swap") could've easily been the Maitlands due to the Current Arc of the Show but honestly, given as to how that I've strongly missed Axol & Melony so much (even though Melony is still around), I've just wanted to include them in for this Beetlejuice Parody Poster Drawing just because I've wanted to do a Silly Little Combination between One of My Favorite Shows/Parodies & Tim Burton Movies in One since Halloween is still gonna come up Next Month. 😜

And before anyone dares to ask, Yes, this is indeed "Inspired" by the Puzzlevision series. 😌

The other weird thing about axolony is that Axol sort of… treats Melony like a child that needs to be protected. The “Yeah but she has the innocence of a 5 year old” line. Him freaking out over her hanging out with Bob and trying to make sure she doesn’t hear swear words? And like seeing him have to move past that and see Melony with more respect would’ve been interesting, but he died before anything went anywhere. She’s an accomplished person Axol she’s done espionage before she was part of the anti-cast and did villainy with 3 like she’s a sweetheart but she’s not some naive innocent child.

weird!! Like yeah the tragedy of it is intriguing but. That’s it. They didn’t really have chemistry we’re just sort of. Told that they love each other.

The bit in revelations where Melony glimpses the afterlife and sees him again is really good though. But I feel like it’s forgotten. She chose living on with her friends over giving in and being with him in the afterlife. That should’ve been the start of her realizing she needs to move on, but she hasn’t! And I know grief takes time to work through but like!!

Anyway I think the fact that she’s friends with Bob is underutilized. Let her hang with Bob and Boopkins that would be a fun group dynamic I think. Would also be fun to see her interact with Saiko more.

That “mentally a 5 year old” line always rubbed me the wrong way. I didn’t want to bring it up on the last post bc I thought it was a little bit dramatic to call the ship bad bc of that line but it’s definitely something to consider.

But you’re right, it’s not just that line. Axol consistently treats Melony like a helpless toddler when she’s extremely capable. I get that it’s probably meant to be funny or cute or whatever but it just feels like the writers were trying to do loads of different things with their dynamic at once but ultimately ended up contracting themselves.

Idk if you know people like this but to me, Axol strikes me as the type of guy to fall in love with any pretty girl who is nice to him. But he does way too much and gets friendzoned pretty much every time. Then when he’s rejected, he accepts it and finds another girl to be infatuated with for a week.

I would love to have seen Melony’s character development outside of her relationship with Axol but alas, SMG4 writers don’t pay attention to the characters that aren’t SMG3, 4 and Meggy now 😔 2024 was honestly not a great year for SMG4. I’m hoping they’ll fix all of this in 2025 and make something more akin to 2023 (best year imo) but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Swagmaster and sonic is such a underrated and underutilized dynamic I think. They're literally canonically married yet no one talks about it other than like surface level stuff and trivia knowledge.

Like yeah sonic doesn't like swag back but like at the end scene of if mario was in the sonic movie 2, he at least shows some interest as he cares about what swag thinks of him now he's sanic. Or maybe he's just interested in the diamond or whatever the ring is made of and is pretending to like swag because of that (and also swag would probably kill him if he said no because the dudes part of the military)

Swag is also one of my favourite minor characters which is why I want this dynamic to be explored more. We need more Swag screen time in general but also with others characters other than Chris (and Karen in that one episode).

I also think it's super funny though that the only canonical ship other than axolony is a fucking crackship of all things.

Hello there! I'm SMG4, but you probably already know that. Well, you know our adventures? Well, how do i say this... It was all acting. Yeah, that's right! And for those wondering, yes, that means some of our friends such as Axol or Desti are still alive. (Yay!) Well, i don't really have that much to say, so i guess i'll be off- Hm? Oh you also want me to tell... Blog rules..? Okay then, Meggy, i'll do it.

First off, MxM shippers DNI, as admin @hearts4mizu/Snowy headcanons them as siblings.

Character Bingo; Meggy or Axol from "SMG4"?

Meggy - I know she's a semi-controversial character but I think she's alright. She was one of my least favorite characters at the time of the Anime Arc (I didn't hate her I just didn't care for her) so she did bog down the Anime Arc for me but I'm cool with her now. She's got good dynamics with the other characters (I liked the mentor/sibling relationship she had with Axol before he died) and drawing her brings me some comfort for some reason

I'm not caught up with SMG4 at all (stopped sometime after the Lawsuit Arc before I got preoccupied with things) but I did hear she ended up getting more arcs centering around her one of which involved her being psychologically tortured by her idol so I do feel bad for her.

Also maybe a bit of an unpopular opinion but I'm not a big fan of Leggy. The gimmick itself seems fine but everyone hyped it up way too much and now have the audacity to complain about her appearing too many times (this is most apparent in the subreddit). The creators noticed the popularity and decided to take advantage of it, what were you expecting

But anyway she's pretty cool, she's my third favorite female character after Saiko and Tari and I also liked watching Sunset Paradise <|:)

Axol - I wish there was a "they got done dirty by canon" box because I'd be coloring that box so red that it wouldn't be readable anymore. He was really good at his introduction and I liked his role in the Anime Arc as well as his interactions with other characters. Also to clarify I don't have a crush on him, it's more like he has the traits of people that I can see myself going for in a relationship

He started going downhill for me once Melony came in because at that point his entire character got reduced into being her love interest even though he was around for two years longer than she had and she had just spawned into existence about a month or two ago. Melony Felony was incredibly hard to sit through (Bob carried it so hard) and the ship ruined the Genesis Arc for me. Him dying was sad but at the very least I knew that I would never have to deal with Axolony (in canon) again. I'm aware this is an unpopular opinion so I'll try not to complain about it too much unless if someone prompts me again

The Ax0l forms were cool though a bit scary, specifically one of the early ones where his eye was fully exposed. Absolute nightmare fuel, I'm not sure who was responsible for the character design but they knocked it out of the park
