So I don't know much more specific things to ask, but what are some of the most prominent headcanons you have about Rejuv characters?

Hi—thank you so much for the ask! It’s nice to meet you. Sorry it took a while for me to answer it.  I have come to the devastating realization that I am, in fact, boring, and do not have many headcanons of my own. So, I decided to include the few I could think of in addition to a few random theories with little to no context or explanation. May go into detail in some of these in the future if anyone’s interested~! I would love to hear your headcanons and theories too! :)

Headcanons:

All of the member of A-Team (Aevis, Aevia, etc.) have prominent Sanpaku eyes

Erin’s voice has a lower register than Melia’s (based on that one comment she made about Melia’s voice being annoying lol)

Ren and Aelita have feelings for each other but won’t act on them until Team Xen is no longer a threat. I mean this is p much confirmed on Ren’s end (thanks Nastasia!)

Amber has a crush on PLAYER!

Kenneth eventually developed a bit of a drinking problem (relatable). Alexa, play Talia by King Princess

Tho they aren’t technically related, Jenner passed his love for death metal onto Melia

PLAYER inherits skills from A-Team. Like piano playing! (confirmed in an old version, rip)

Mini Theories:

(Some are move obvious than others. Some may conflict. This is just for fun pls don’t come for me)

Geara’s Giratina is Griselda (say that five times fast lol). And this is the same Giratina we explored Darchlight Caves with. Also she’s Spacea and Tiempa’s sister, but is somehow trapped in her Giratina form. What the hell (pun intended) was in that chalice???

Crescent’s father is Vitus. Not sure how this would work since he technically can’t reproduce (according to what Vitus said in the past). But it would explain why Crescent’s fate is wrapped up in Melia and Erin’s

PLAYER is Missing.EXE from the Paragon encrypted files. Which means they’re supposed to be the embodiment of Zygarde. OR Madame X is Missing.EXE

Vitus’s soul has (somehow) latched on to Maria’s (using the crystal thingy she was trapped in maybe?) and he uses the power of the Archetype to move between different bodies. Password: unbound soul and all of that. All to achieve immortality

Nim is Nymiera! (not a huge leap at this point lol). But a version corrupted by Storm-9 / Rift Matter. She is constantly being drained by something… but what exactly?

I think there’s a chance that Maria actually was an only child, but used the Archetype to wish for siblings. This then altered the memory of Vitus or something. Idk there’s a good chance this is not the case. But like, seriously, how many “Archetypes" are there? How would you “split” an Archetype? Crack it like a wish bone??? Is it split evenly??? Would love some clarity on this

The “past” Aevium isn’t actually the past—it’s someone’s MEMORY (or perhaps, the Core’s memory?) of the past. And therefore, sort of an illusion. That’s how the time crystals worked in Alamissa, at least. Erin also hinted at one point (I think this is still in the latest version? But correct me if I’m wrong) that the “past” Aevium may not necessarily be what it seems. Or, the past is a different dimension or world

In order for the Paragon world to survive, the Renegade world must be destroyed. This is renegade!PLAYER’s motive. (“With life, there is also death. With death, there is also life.” “I gain nothing. They gain everything.” “The light within the belly of Ouroboros shall never cease, lest the flames be doused by the will of the suffering.”)

In the “corrupted future” Blacksteeple Castle event where Melia dies and her power is awakened, she successfully transforms a “wilting” world into a “blooming” world using the power of the Archetype. On that vein, Madame X’s goal is to turn the current world into a wilting world to save the world she comes from. That’s why Madame X bemoaned that “this is was an outcome… I prayed to never see”

The SS Oceana is a vessel between worlds and part of the Interceptor program’s (and therefore Variya’s) design. I mean it FUSED ITSELF WITH THE SEABED ma’am that is not normal. Also the pillars and stuff. I’ve written a longer post on this that’s coming soon~!

Melia is the manifestation of a wish made by Maria—a wish so strong she somehow transported half of her Archetype’s energy to her. Or there’s maybe a scenario where Maria knew Melanie and wished Melanie was… different? Or something? Lol. Possible also an Interceptor. Like PLAYER, she remembers people after they were deleted. Core motif and whatnot.

Who do you feel is the most interesting antagonist in Rejuv?

HI AXEL!!!

Most interesting rejuv antagonist, huh? Okay, this one is admittedly a tough question, because they're all intriguing in their own ways. Yes, even the silly ones like Team Anti-Assist (seriously, I really want to know why this organisation is even a thing. What did the Help Centres even do to them that made them this way??)

Madame X and Team Xen are the first antagonists encountered in the game. Their goals seemed straightforward at first, but as we progress through the plot it starts to get into ambiguous territory. Why do they fight for oblivion? Clearly each Team Xen admin has their own reasons for joining, most of them being for survival or for the sake of their loved ones (exception being Geara who most likely joined because of Vitus' influence), but if they knew that Team Xen is working towards oblivion why would they keep going? Sure there's the whole Soul Crystals thing which keeps them compliant, but by then they'd have realised there's no point staying loyal to Team Xen. Especially in Neved's case, which I'm not sure if he's that delusional to hope that his daughter would be spared from the oncoming oblivion if he remained loyal to Madame X's cause or he's also given up and decided he's past the point of redemption so might as well play the role of a villain until the bitter end.

Also, speaking of Madame X. She's the main antagonist, but she doesn't seem be wholly evil if ch12 is any indication. Her goals have something to do with breaking free from karma's cycles, but why? Who exactly is she? Why did she think that oblivion is the answer to what she wants? What connection does she have to Vitus? Too many questions, so little answers...

Vitus is also interesting one, and one we all love to hate with the sheer amount of shitty things he's done and how he's basically the root behind some of the game's most prominent antagonists (i.e. Geara, Angie, Melanie in the Bad Timeline arc, Angelus, Alice in ch14 and .karma files, and maybe even Madame X herself if her appearance in the prologue cursing him out and her Yveltal is any indication). But if you really look at it, isn't he just doing what he's made to do? He's the Yveltal host, a literal sentient exe file made for the purpose of destruction as part of the cycle of life and death. The only problem is that he's gone way out of control and destroyed more than he should most likely due to Zygarde's disappearance, not to mention his obsessive fixation with Arceus and the Archetype. For what purpose does he seek the long-dead god? Does he want to become the next Arceus, or is he trying to revive Arceus in a vain attempt to salvage this world and return it to "paradise"? Is that why he and Nymiera had a falling out in the distant past? Again, a lot of mysteries...

...okay, I've gone on a ramble here so. tl;dr, I find them all equally interesting.

2020 "Goodbye Things" _ Aku mulai mencabut satu persatu list target di dinding kamar yang setahun lalu menjadi penghias dinding. Sekarang itu kosong, polos hanya sebuah karton hitam. Lalu aku memulai dengan membereskan rumah yang sepertinya dia terabaikan beberapa waktu terakhir. Di ruang tamu, ada sekitar 5 box kertas bekas dam buku lama yang berhasil ku singkirkan. Sekarang ruang tamu terlihat lebih lapang dan rapih. Di dalam kamar, aku berhasil mengeluarkan beberapa helai baju, wadah kosong sisa bedak dan parfum, yang sebelumnya selalu kusimpan tanpa tau kapan akan kugunakan atau ku kreasikan. Kemudian aku ke dapur, ku buang sisa-sisa bumbu yang sudah lama, ku masak sisa sayur pepaya dan makan hasil masakanku sendiri. Butuh nyali besar dan tekad yang kuat untuk mulai membuang atau menyingkirkan semua itu. Pasalnya aku adalah orang yang suka menyimpan barang, menyimpan kenangan, memikirkan nilai materi dari barang, mengenang hostoris dari barang, takut kalau nanti masih mau digunakan, mempunyai rencana mengkreasikan barang bekas meskipun tak kunjung jadi apapun, yang pada akhirnya rasa sayang pada hal-hal itu membuat semakin sesak dipikiran dan dipandangan mata. Sudah sebulan lalu saya tuntas membaca buku "Goodbye things milik fumio sasaki" tapi, tiap kali akan menyingkirkan atau sekedar membereskan rasanya masih berat dan sayang, dan itu membuat semakin sesak. Maka pagi tadi, aku berhasil menyingkirkannya, dalam prosesnya aku harus memikirkan dengan lama, tapi setelahnya aku bisa tersenyum bahagia. Iya, hal itu berlaku untuk pikiran dan hati. Selain membuang barang secara fisik, aku mengambil waktu sejenak untuk menarik nafas panjang, menikmati udara pagi, tersenyum ikhlas, merelakan segala prasangka yang bersarang di pikiran, lalu berani menyampaikan sesuatu "Jangan membuatku galau lagi" Untukmu yang mungkin saat ini sedang penat, sesak, namun masih belum menemukan alasannya. Sepertinya kamu perlu menengok ruangan kamarmu, meja kerjamu, isi lemarimu, bahkan pikiran dan hatimu. Urusan Jodoh itu adalah hal Magic. Tangan Tuhan langsung yang menggerakkannya. Kita gak pernah bisa milih kapan waktu yang tepat buat menemui jodoh kita, tapi yang bisa kita lakukan adalah menyiapkan diri sebaik-baiknya dengan ILMU dan ADAB agar kapanpun waktunya hal magic itu datang tidak akan ada kata "belum siap karena mendadak, kek ujian aja 😅" karena kita sudah siap. _ Begitupun soal KEMATIAN, ini adalah hal paling magic yang pasti ditemui semua makhluk Nya. Kalau jodoh masih ada istilah "Kalau tak berjodoh di dunia maka akan berjodoh di akhirat". Tapi perihal KEMATIAN semua akan terjadi di Dunia dan kitapun gak akan bisa milih kapan pastinya ia datang.
