hi👋 Tasha hope you’re having a good day or night anygays soo I was reading one of your posts about how Athena’s mother hugged her with her wings and nobody else has done that since she got out of Zeus and how she misses it and it gave me a one shot idea for post god games that I want to share with you btw in this Apollo is older than Athena

Apollo huffs out a sigh coloured with disappointment and frustration as he returns to his infirmary to find Athena still awake despite the fact he has already told her twenty separate times just today to get some sleep. At Least he thought to himself so tiredly that you would think he was the one to be struck by their father’s lightning multiple times and not his younger sister who seems determined to only make her injuries worse she hasn’t tried to get out of bed again. He takes a few graceful strides till he reaches the bed Athena is on.

“What’s wrong little owl, why aren’t you sleeping?” He asks gently and presses his hand against her forehead to make sure that her fever hasn’t returned once again. Athena’s eyes dart away from him and she doesn’t answer the question. Apollo waits for a couple of seconds and when Athena still hasn’t answered he warps a wing around her carefully and starts to ask again but then Apollo stops short at the realisation that Athena was leaning into the touch and just how relaxed she has become and he just can’t help the way his lips tug up into a soft smile.

“Athena is it alright if I hug you” Apollo questions fondness clear in his tone and his sister’s face turns an impressively bright shade of gold and she nods clearly to embarrass answer any other way Apollo sits down beside Athena and warps both his arms and wings around her and begins to hum a lullaby and in seconds she’s fast asleep. Apollo grins softly in triumph glad that Athena is finally asleep and suddenly realises that if he tries to slip away he might wake her not wanting to risk it he resigns himself to stay here for a few more hours.
