Using any scrap of free time to slowly make my way through your Diego fic and I just have to say that I'm already in love 👌

THIS IS SUCH A COMPLIMENT UGH !!!! Thank you, love!! I'm so glad you're enjoying!

I had SO much fun writing awtlo -- and I definitely tried to give it its own unique tone. Since TUA was a graphic novel/comic before it was a show, I wanted the dialogue to reflect that and be sort of comic book-y, and have a flavor of camp to it while still being grounded in the world of the show and (hopefully?) relatable.

So much love went into it, and I do have a sequel planned and partially written. I'm sort of waiting for the new season to hopefully impart some inspiration but I'm so glad it's been a good read so far! I'd love to know what you thought when you're finished. And THANK YOU for reading!!

not a prequel or a sequel but could write anything about vigilante!reader and diego from awtlo, i'm obsessed with them (but of course i'd never do them justice like you do <3)

Oooh thank you for asking.

First of all, I APOLOGISE for taking so long to update. I've had a pretty tough couple of weeks, but I'm feeling much better.

Thank you so much for your patience and support in awaiting part 2. I just want it to be good and to be worth waiting for.

Second, I have some time to write this week, so I'm hopeful to have it updated this weekend!! 💗💗 Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Third, AWTLO is unique for me... It is the only thing I've written that's quite this lengthy and so to write a part two feels a little daunting because I feel I've set a precedent.

Moreover, it's something I wrote that I'm really HAPPY with. And seeing everyone's kind, genuine, positive response to it has made me so happy! I just worry that any follow up won't be worthy, or won't be the same, or won't be what you as readers deserve. I just want you to love it. So it's taking a little more time than I otherwise would have hoped.

Again, thank you for understanding! It's coming SO SOON.

I just read Alight With The Lights Out...

lord help me. I fucking love me some tim burton batman/catwoman vibes and this is IT.

oh my goddddd. this made my ENTIRE night, you have no idea.

I'm always SO excited when people read that one. I felt immensely proud of it when I posted it, and it has such a soft spot in my heart.

I REALLY wanted a keaton/pfeiffer vibe, so I'm SO glad it read that way. I definitely let the dialogue run away and be a little comic book-y, and tried to play up the tropes of that genre, which was a new experiment for me. So I'm beyond honored that you think it turned out that way!!!

I started a part two for that one (with lots of shit-talk and some smutty fighting), and, admittedly, sort of lost inspiration. Maybe I'll find it again someday and there will be more Kraken & Siren.

Part 2 is still coming, I PROMISE!

I will be completely honest and tell you that the new season of Mando had prompted me to try to finish the story I've been working on since season one. And I really want to try to get that out.

I'm so sorry Awtlo has been delayed, but please don't give up on me! I think between the wedding, two busy weeks at work, and a bad mental week with lots of crying and no sleep, it's been a time. I do feel really bad that anyone who has been waiting to read has suffered because of my piss poor time management.

i totally understand you about worrying that the second part won't live up to the first (i feel that a lot too) but you have nothing to worry about, we're all here patiently waiting for awtlo because we know it's gonna be just as great as the first 💕 (have to say, i re-read this weekend and it still make me go laksjskls *chef's kiss*)

Hi baby I just wanted to say that I read you Diego fic and absolutely loved it! It was the first fic I’ve read for Diego and it was so good. Also, you write Krause really well too I was cackling at all of his lines. I’m behind on reading your other works but I’m free from uni for a while and cannot wait to read and reread everything! oh my gosh-- I LOVE this question. Thank you for reading. Thank you for loving how I wrote Diego.

My favorite moment in the story is their banter. But also, I’m particularly proud of one line-- when the reader confesses to Diego about herself and her power and how she feels, Diego thinks, 

“After all, he too knew the honesty behind words that struggled to come out.“

It just felt right.

And I also loved writing someone who is WAY MORE badass than me. And having her kind of turn Diego on his head.

Oh! Thank you for asking. I'm still working on it. Which is Rachel speak for it's coming, I promise. I've had a very busy couple of months at work and I had to take another licensing exam so I'm a little wiped out this week. But I PROMISE you won't have to wait too long.
