It's time to address the elephant in the room.

A lot of people have asked over the years; "You like Holli, but you don't like the movie she's from. What about Thumbelina? What do you think about her movie?"

And the truth is... while I definitely like Thumbelina better than Cool World... I'm not a big fan of that one either.

It's fine. I'm pretty neutral on 95% of it. But I also think it's an extremely difficult fairytale to make an hour and a half long movie out of, so what Don Bluth did manage to do with it, I think is pretty impressive.

HOWEVER... there is ONE THING in that movie that will forever have a place in my heart. It's a moment, and a song, that will make me cry within 30 seconds;

When Cornelius comes back and Lina realizes he's alive.

I can't NOT tear up at that, it's impossible, it can't be done. It also helps that I absolutely LOVE the song "Let Me Be Your Wings".

A lot of people compare that song to "A Whole New World" from Aladdin and it's not hard to see why; Boy takes sheltered girl away from her home to show her the big, amazing and slightly scary world outside, promising her adventure and love.

And flying of course. Flying is definitely a key ingredient in both.

However, I 100% prefer LMBYW to AWNW. Why? Well, for one I just simply like the music better, so there's some basic bias there. But I also personally think that LMBYW sounds like wedding vows. You could argue that AWNW could be wedding vows too, but there's something about LMBYW that sounds more romantic to me.

The lyrics sound like a vow to protect and love the other.

Let me be your wings

Let me lift you up high above

Everything we're dreaming of will soon be ours

Anything that you desire, anything at all

Every day I'll take you higher

And I'll never let you fall

THIS is a promise of not just love and adventure, but also protection:

If you choose to love and trust me, I will never let you down and I'll do everything in my power to give you anything you want. AWNW is a promise of love and adventure, but not protection. Not in the same way at least.

This is not my attempt at convincing anyone to prefer one song over the other, I'm just explaining why I prefer this one and why the movie Thumbelina will forever have a place in my heart because of that song. Without it... I would probably have forgotten this movie years ago.

I also really do like the Danish translation of it.

Okay so I’ve been keeping quiet lately due to personal reasons but I’m just really compelled to make a post rn. I see many people on here saying the same thing: Why is Disney not doing an Arabic version of AWNW with Zayn on it?

Not to negate the significance of the Spanish and Russian versions ofc, but isn’t the Arabic version the first thing on everyone’s mind for this movie?

Zayn knows Arabic, he’s learned to read the Quran (don’t know if he’s said but believe me I can vouch), he knows how to read Arabic and how to use the correct pronunciations so uh,, where is it?

I know Disney has made Aladdin ethnically ambiguous (yeah thanks) but to me Aladdin is of Arabic origin. Aladdin is just the Western way of saying Allah-uddin (imo) and we all know Jasmine is Yasmin.

Dunno where I’m going with this post but I guess I’m just mad that they’re not utilizing the full range of such a multi-talented and amazing vocalist like Zayn.

Beginning July 17, the gay bachelor is bringing you a WHOLE NEW WORLD!

This will be random game play with 21 Main Characters (and who knows what it may develop into) within 8 different locations in the Sim World, focusing on one family in each world as follows:

Willow Creek ~ The Goths (of course)

Oasis Springs ~ The Landgraabs (including Johnny Zest)

Windenburg ~ The Vilareals

San Myshuno ~ The Fengs (as brother and sister, not spouses…)

Forgotten Hollow ~ The Vatores

Brindleton Bay ~ The Heckings & Rosie

Del Sol Valley ~ Judith Ward (and her two children by artificial insemination!)

Sulani ~ Kai Kahale (I borrowed from @anotherplumbob)

Each family will have one post per day per week, in random order.

All premades, other than the main families have been deleted from the game, as well as all houses and other locations! As the game progresses, I will add new homes and locales as needed. And as the game generates NPCs and Townies, I will edit them to make them playable more attractive.

I hope you enjoy, and I think this will give me something new to indulge in while I mourn the loss of the Boedell’s

I feel like I’m the only person who disliked Twisted Tale: A Whole New World because of undeveloped plot points & the ending.

(Go the Distance was weirdly similar, but less so. Though it’s weird that the Aladdin one went way darker than the Hercules one, since the latter has a more melodramatic tone)

It wasn't exactly easy for Luda to meet the new girls in the project, now where she wasn't in her group anymore. She knew there were new girls added to the group, but nothing too specific. That is, except for the one or other rare occasion, where she did have some time to stop by. And to her surprise, she found a familiar face was added to the group—the girl she'd seen taking a photo of the casting note for the new concept.

“Choi Yena, right?” she approached the girl, smiling as usual. She'd also found out that she was the one person who'd commented on her live stream a couple of times, which admittedly, made her a little curious as well. Though today there was something else she had in mind.

“Hello! I'm Lee Luda,” she said, deciding not to ask anything in the direction of 'do you remember me?', not wanting to make things awkward. “Say... do you happen to know what 'OP' means in a game?” she asked. She'd scrolled through twitter earlier, following a tag that rated idols' eyes, noses and lips and somehow ending up in a different tag, that must have something to do with gaming. She may know nothing about the game (or language used), but she'd been able to figure out it was a game after some research done. But in the end there were many words she'd never heard of and if she was to be honest, she got pretty confused pretty fast. Her skills didn't really reach much further than easy, idle games.
