The sounds of non-stop Insomnian traffic became more and more distant the further you go into the upper-class districts… or the slums. The rich chauffeured to their destinations and the poorest unable to pay for even the bus. Thankfully, his wandering and this park were a fair distance from where it was too quiet for Vespers liking.
‘Knows he’s safe’, Logical, if the kid was thinking that straight then he should be fine. Of course, keeping him safe was their main job now- one of the things they attempted to be good at… but maybe they should have asked for a closer pick up or someone else to join; someone that made him more comfortable since they didn’t feel like much help. The anxiety he mentioned hadn’t seemed to subside – still tense…
Letting the breeze through dry leaves fill the silence, they… weren’t sure what to do, to think… thinking was, at times, the problem; Vesper could over-think things, wouldn’t ever admit to being slightly paranoid themselves… Yet for right now though, the kids unease was pulling at something else inside and stealing their focus.
Shifting on the bench, “Do… y-ou want someone else?” trying not to sound too awkward, knowing they weren’t the best company. They didn’t get time for an answer, quickly looking past, light catching their eye; the familiar shaped headlights of a higher end sedan lit up the bench briefly. Royal colours dark as ever on the car pulling into the parking lot.
Sitting up straighter with a sigh, easing off; barely noticing having leaned into Noctis space to glare at the vehicle until the Marshal stepped out. Giving his shoulder one last squeeze, arm sliding off as they stood up; back to the rules, at least it was someone he knew that came, “…guess you’re free of me.”
Clearing the area with a brief scan before the Immortal quickly ushered the Prince into the backseat without a word. But the shoulder slump and sigh he gave first getting out, hadn’t escape the Glaives notice- the man trying to keep his relief discreet at being reunited safely.
Waiting until the door was shut before demanding a debrief- the Marshal wanted everything. There wasn’t much to share; giving the approximate location of the illegal bar and suspicions on what was being served. The information sent on to where ever it was needed. The kids motivations were his to explain, or not, and Vesper could really only take Noctis word for how he was feeling… and he didn’t need any additional speculation- or questions.
vespersilvanus:
Dragging their eyes from pedestrian, following the kids gaze to the empty lot opposite their meandering. The post at the entrance was slightly warped, bending the red and white signs wording but shiny black car with darker windows had yet to appear. Settling into the seat more with a sigh, breath cloud barely visible under the light, “Shouldn’t be…”
They had no idea who was coming but there was a pretty good chance the Captain had left soon as the search was called off… which made sense; the Marshal was more likely than that hot head junior shield, he- Glancing to their side, kid was unmistakably agitated despite the ‘tired’ comment; vocal tones, body posture, movement- all things read without thought but they had been paying attention, they were over thinking. Was it them? Recon had a reputation… and them within… wouldn’t be a surprise if he’d heard the gossip and rumors: they’d heard a few while shadowing the royals in public.
It… bothered them, quite a bit… confusingly, that the kid was on edge. That he seemed… Most of tonight had been troubling and it wasn’t due to a middle of the night search party. Taking a breath only to pause, not entirely sure what to say; this wasn’t their business- not their problem…
“That drink… if it’s the one I’m thinkin of…” surprised at voiced words; the rough start quickly evening out. Talking wasn’t their strongest skill, let alone holding a conversation yet only a portion of that could be blamed on past injury. They were just awkward and ill equipped at socializing
“Cn make negative feelns more intense… but the opposite is true too…” a little more accent slipping in and out as they went. Most of the translations were eluding them tonight; there were better ways to explain the custom- some they hadn’t learned but for what they did understand… sounded ridiculous in lucian.
Communing with spirits didn’t seem pertinent and though ironically an alcohol, being consumed to heal the soul also didn’t feel like the right words. Either way, this or with drinks in general it was better not to dwell in the bad.
“Might feel a bit off but…” There wasn’t a way to undo a choice once the action is done, and they doubted there was going to be much of a surprise in whatever consequences were expected from this so- “…how… uh, what usually helps?” He should try to focus on the good.
Noctis nodded, finding some comfort in Vesper’s words. Now that his location was known, every effort would no doubt be made to return him home as quickly as possible. They would be there soon. He was just grateful he wasn’t alone. If Vesper hadn’t been there, he would probably be pacing right now, jumping at even the smallest and most innocent of sounds.
He thought that Cor would probably be the one to pick him up. Not only would he want details from Vesper, but he’d want to personally ensure his safety. Normally Noctis would find the man’s concern suffocating, but right now, he’d take it without complaints. Cor was somebody he’d always felt safe around. The man was practically family.
A drink that made positive and negative emotions stronger – it was a dangerous thing indeed. For Noctis, it seemed to be triggering his insecurity and paranoia. For someone like him, a certain degree of paranoia was, not only unavoidable but encouraged. He needed to be ready for anything. Even your average person walking down the street could prove themselves a threat and Noctis, in particular needed to be careful. He was a target, after all. He was a way to get to the King.
Right now, the paranoia was skyrocketing, no doubt because of the drink. Every noise was making him tense. The shadows of inanimate objects were starting to look malicious. He let out a heavy sigh and closed his eyes for a moment in an attempt to block everything out.
“I dunno. You being here helps though…not being alone. I know I’m safe even if I don’t feel it right now.”

KP- I'm crying omg, Ignis almost fighting the stranger in his bed 😂 I imagine Noctis is adamant that he's too comfy to leave and says he has nowhere to go anyways because SOME asshole named GLADIO kicked him out. Ignis softens a tiny bit but is still reluctant to let Noct stay, tho he looks harmless enough he supposes, just too sassy for his own good. Cue awkward bed sharing maybe? ;) Bonus: Ignis stretching out before bed and noct pretends to be asleep but he's watching like ?! DAMN! I'M GAY!
I’m sorry this has taken so long, but at last it’s time for a side-Ignoct catch up post!! These two are almost as bad as Promptio when it comes to being totally obvious-slash-oblivious about their mutual crushing. So I hope you enjoy this post featuring flexible Iggy and Noct’s Big Gay Awakening :3
(idk where this gif is from but it’s too appropriate not to use...?????)
Noct appreciates the view under the cut! v v v
[The night of the Grand Prix in Altissia]
- Noctis has never been in love. He’s had flings, sure, mostly when he was in school and none of them serious. Nothing that lasted longer than a single semester. Before that, it was mostly him avoiding the people who only saw him for his name and his father’s money. At twenty, he’s already pretty sure things like love and dating just...aren’t for him.
- Which is why he doesn’t get Gladio. Like, at all. Flying both of them across the continent just to watch Prompto skate? Noct doesn’t think he could ever feel that strongly about someone else. He really, really doesn’t get it.
- So when Gladio tells him after the competition not to wait up, Noct rolls his eyes and makes his way to their hotel all alone. He takes the scenic route, admiring the city streets lit up at night and ordering a gelato from a vendor. But even the area near the canal is filled with couples enjoying the romantic atmosphere. Noct sighs, tosses his empty cup in a trash bin, and continues on his way.
- If he’s expecting Gladio back at all, it certainly isn’t an hour later and with Prompto attached to his hip. They burst into the room in a flurry of laughter and kisses, almost ignoring Noct’s presence until he clears his throat from the other bed.
- “Oh. Hey, Noct. Uh, this is Prompto -”
- “Nice to meet you!” The blonde smiles, waves, but looks a little embarrassed as he puts a half-inch distance between him and Gladio.
- Noct rolls his eyes again. He’s doing that a lot recently. “Yeah, hi. Are you guys gonna...need the room?”
- Gladio’s mouth twitches. He looks at Prompto, back to Noct, down at his feet. Next to him, the blonde flushes as he reaches into his coat pocket. “Um. You can have the key to my hotel room if you -”
- Noct is already moving. He says nothing as he snatches the card key out of Prompto’s fingers and starts down the hall toward the elevators. Behind him, the sound of the door closing follows him all the way to the lobby.
- Luckily for him, Prompto’s hotel is only a block away - a five-star kinda place called the Leville. The room is on the tenth floor, and invitingly empty with one large bed in the center. The skater’s bags are against the far wall - he seems to travel with enough stuff for two people, at least - and there’s a spa-style tub in the bathroom. Noct considers it for a moment before his exhaustion gets the better of him and he collapses on the bed without even getting undressed.
- He’s asleep when the door opens. A figure enters quietly, stops in the doorway to watch him. He doesn’t notice when the figure approaches, or even when a gentle hand reaches out to touch his shoulder. In fact, he doesn’t wake up until that same hand shakes him hard enough to knock him nearly off the edge of the mattress and onto the floor.
- Noct bolts up. There’s a man standing over him - a stunningly beautiful man, his groggy mind supplies - looking about as confused as he is and somehow even angrier. Before Noct can stop himself the words are tumbling out of his mouth. “Who the fuck’re you?!”
- Silence. That probably wasn’t the wisest choice of words if the other man’s harsh green glare is any indication, but it’s too late to take them back now. Noct waits, tense with nerves, until at last the silence is broken by the most elegant Tenebraen accent he’s ever heard. “Is that how you usually greet someone whose bed you’ve sequestered?”
- It takes a moment before the words sink in. By then, Noct has already started babbling about how Gladio kicked him out and Prompto gave him the key and he doesn’t know who this guy thinks he is but this is his room now and --
- The man cuts him off with a sigh. “I should have suspected those two. What did you say your name was?”
- “Nocti -- Noct. Just Noct.”
- Gods, this man has spectacular eyebrows. “Well, just Noct. I suppose kicking you out now would only make me as bad as them. You can stay, but forgive me for asking for the use of my bed?” Noct blushes. He actually fucking blushes at the thought of his beautiful man falling asleep next to him, this stranger who hasn’t even bothered to give his name. It isn’t until he slides over to make room that he realizes the man is gesturing to the chair in the corner. Oh. Oh.
- He’s certainly slept in less comfortable positions, but he can’t help feeling all of this is Gladio’s fault. If it weren’t for him and his stupid crush, Noct thinks, he would still be back home in his own room, with his own bed and his video games. He wouldn’t be curled up in a worn armchair with a thin blanket tucked around his shoulders, simultaneously trying to fall back asleep and keep watching the show across the room. He thinks the man must be a skater like Prompto because damn he’s flexible - stretching on the floor at the foot of the bed, one leg straight out behind him and the other in front, his body pressed flat against it as his fingers curl around his heel. Then a smooth transition into a side split, his sleep pants leaving little to the imagination when he twists and arcs his back. Noctis wonders if the man knows how good he looks. If perhaps he’s doing this on purpose to torture him, as if Gladio and Prompto hadn’t done enough. Either way, it isn’t fair - and it makes his cramped position in the chair even less comfortable (although perhaps trying to hide his boner in the bed would have been worse)
- He swears he’s never going to forgive Gladio for any of this.
[The next morning]
- Ignis finds his guest still sleeping when he gets out of the shower in the morning. While he dresses, he finds himself studying the young man curled up under his sheet in the chair. He appears to be no older than Prompto, around nineteen or twenty. Attractive (he tries to ignore that). A student, perhaps? Although he claimed the night before to be an acquaintance of Gladio’s, he certainly doesn’t strike Ignis as having the build of a hockey player. He does, however, seem like someone who has secrets.
- If there’s one thing Ignis hates, it’s not knowing something.
- He slips out of the room as quietly as he can, but the mystery continues to eat at him all morning. Even after he checks out at the front desk (hoping Noct will find his way home before he’s carted off with the linens), Ignis can’t seem to reign in his thoughts. Why, for example, wouldn’t Noct give him his full name? What was it he was hiding? And why had he looked so disappointed when he’d been kicked out of the bed? Ignis chalks his curiosity up to the strangeness of the whole situation, and tries his best not to mention the young man in front of Prompto once they arrive at the airport.
[Several days later:]
- “Oh, hey! Gladio says he can make it after all!” Prompto’s looking at his phone again, for at least the dozenth time since Ignis first told him to put it away and concentrate. At this point, he can only give up trying and plop down next to the blonde on the mat.
- “Wonderful. As if you weren’t already distracted enough this evening.”
- Prompto smiles and pats his knee. “He’s bringing you coffee to make up for it.”
- “Well, I suppose that’s something.”
- What Prompto fails to mention is that Gladio isn’t coming alone. He’s dragged his friend with him again, and the moment Noct walks through the door carrying a bag of take-out lattes, Ignis loses the capacity for rational thought. Everything he’s been trying to ignore since Altissia (those deep blue eyes, that perpetual hint of something tugging at the corners of Noct’s mouth, the inexplicable obsession/attraction he’s felt toward the kid) come back in full force. And still Ignis knows next to nothing about him!
- He doesn’t realize he’s been staring until Noct shifts uncomfortably and reaches in the bag to pull out one of the steaming hot coffees. “Nice t’see you again. Gladio said you, uh, like double shots?”
- “Oh. Yes, I do. Thank you. Er - “ Reaching out for the gift, he can’t help but notice the “name” scrawled across the side of the cup in black marker. “‘Specs’?”
- Noct flushes as his eyes somehow grow ever more beautiful. “O-oh. I didn’t…. I mean, you never told me your name, and Gladio said I should...ask you myself….” (Nearby, Gladio is grinning and whispering something in Prompto’s ear until the blonde’s mirth grows to match) “U-um, I hope you don’t hate it. T-the nickname, I mean. It’s ‘cause of your glasses, y’know, and - “
- “Ignis.” He clears his throat when Noct blushes again. “My name is Ignis Scientia. I apologize for my apparent lapse in manners when we met in Altissia.”
- “Yeah, um, me too.” (Gladio and Prompto are, if possible, being more obnoxious than before. Prompto’s actually filming this with his phone while Gladio shoots him the thumbs up from over Ignis’ shoulder). “I’m Noctis. But Noct is fine.” And now Ignis is smiling at him - it’s subtle, more in the way his eyes soften than the barely-visible curve of his lips - but Noct thinks it’s completely unfair how gorgeous he looks when he does it.
- “Thank you for the coffee, Noct.” Ignis takes a sip (is it wrong to be jealous of a plastic cup lid??) and gestures for him to have a seat next to Gladio on the mat. Noctis watches for over an hour in awe, unable to tear his eyes off Ignis while he limbers up, runs Prompto through their basic drills, and eventually demonstrates a new beam technique that shows off both his flawless flexibility and his impressive upper body strength.
- Halfway through, Gladio leans in and with a knowing grin, tells him to pick his jaw up off the floor.

So . . . What's SS!Ignis been up to? Idk when he started hanging out with Noctis in cannon, but does he get conflicting information on the glaives if he starts hanging out with them/Noctis after The Talk because he's heard people's prejudices but the LCs are cool with them? Does he go around asking all kinds of awkward questions to Figure Things Out and Make Up His Own Mind? Does he stumble across more cultural misunderstandings while doing this and everyone just goes "wait, there's more?!" 1/2
serafinastuff said: SS!Ignis cont. "Why must there be more?" Maybe something surrounding food since you mentioned he learned Galahdian recipes? Hmm, I mean, they all grew up as kids on the run in the jungle so they'll probably ready just about anything but that's not too surprising. Similarly, they probably have stashes of food and carry snacks with them always because you never know when your next meal will be (this is getting depressing, sorry) idk they probably also have rules about who eats first in a group 2/2
Me: Iggy is Noct’s current Keeper/buddy right now yes, so he is ... Not Happy when he first learns that Noct is hanging out with the glaives. Especially TITUS, because he’s heard all the rumors. Bu then ... Noctis, despite being young, is a generally good judge of character and when Ignis follows him down there the glaives are ... weird but not exactly terrifying? Sorta? Either before or after The Talk Iggy definitely goes around interrogating the glaives/Titus/Amissa to make up his own mind about them and eventually decides that they are ... strange but tolerable. Good for Noctis, because Noct is lonely and needs All The Pack.
Is probably the one to find out about their proclivity for running around on all fours, since they don’t bother hiding it around Pack and Ignis is Noct’s Pack so he is Pack by extension. Is more than a little exasperated when Noctis picks up The Ways Of Running On All Fours but okay.
Hmmm he might? Not sure what cultural misunderstands would come about over food, but he definitely notices their habits of hiding food stashes and hoarding snacks in both pockets and armiger. But instead of finding it weird he finds the snack thing useful and starts carrying food around for Noctis.
They do have rules on who eats first in the Pack actually! The youngest always eat first because they are smallest and most vulnerable, then the eldest eat next because they are the protectors and need the strength, the middle generations eat last because they are old enough to wait, but too young to need the strength to protect just yet. Amissa also insisted that everyone get regulated portions. Depending on how much food at a give time there was, she would divide it up as best she could so that the youngest got the softest foods, the oldest got the most protein rich/energy rich and the middle still got enough to stay healthy and grow. She’s not sure how well it worked but by the astrals she tried.
This rule has loosened since settling in Little Galahd, but it is still seen in how they serve their tables. Children get served first, their choice of the meat cuts and dishes, then the eldest/the fighting age adults get served next, and then everyone else can come take what they please (Little Galahd is big on buffet style eating, as well as group mealtimes. Often the entire community will casually congregate at random spots eating lunch or dinner together and telling stories in between bites).
Also the glaives eat free in Little Galahd. Doesn’t matter that the glaives are perfectly willing to pay for it, the glaives are the protectors of Little Galahd and so Little Galahd supports them with All The Free Food.

Wrapped in Leather or Lace?
So a No Royalty AU where Noctis and Luna are just a couple of rich kids who are kinda engaged, it’s an arranged marriage though. So, Noct and Luna are sex friends, specifically, they’re into bdsm. They’ve known each other forever and kinda discovered the world of bdsm together, with Noct as the sub and Luna as the dom. (Luna always tops Noct. Always.) They trust each other and are really close, but they’ve always been awkward about the subject of their marriage since neither is really 100% sure about their feelings.
They’ve agreed to date other people just to see if they’ll fall in love with someone else. And they only sleep together when they aren’t seeing anyone. Though they’ve been known to have threesomes and are rather open about their relationship.
Thing is, deep down, Noct is kinda a lot in love with Luna, but he doubts because he’s not sure if he likes her just because she’s a really great dom and no one else he’s been with really meets his expectations, or satisfies him, like she does. Is he just confusing love with lust? He honestly can’t tell... Also, he not sure about her feelings towards him.
Luna might also be a lot in love with Noct, but she’s also unsure. Is it just because she’s known him forever and is comfortable with him? She can be herself around him, and doesn’t have to hide part of herself (her dom side) like she feels she has to with others. But is it love love? Or the kind of love for a close friend or even a brother? And what about his feelings?
For all that bdsm is about communication and trust, these two a failing miraculously at both when it comes to their real feelings. Even to themselves. Oh these poor sweet insecure puppies... Someone help them.
...
Anyway! Here’s a brief snippet of a scene I have in my head! (It’s more of a WIP than anything else right now though) I’d rate it M only because NSFW stuff is implied, but it never gets that far? Also everyone is probably a little OoC since I’ve never written them before...
When Luna appears at his door eyes red and puffy, make up smeared, dressed up in that black dress that makes it very difficult to keep his eyes above her neckline, and an all too familiar black handbag clutched tightly in her arms, he kind of expects to spend the night on the couch being a shoulder to cry on with a pint of ice cream between them.
And it does start off that way, with more furious ranting than crying, but then Luna was never one to dwell on tears. She still eats most of his ice cream though.
“Wait,” He starts, swallowing a spoonful of cold chocolatey goodness, “So he really thought he was gonna be the dom?”
Luna gives a single short nod, smudged cherry red lips pursed into a tight line as stabs her spoon into her own tub.
Noct can only stare incredulously, coz, wow. Just wow.
It’s not like Luna wasn’t up for switching, they used to take turns all the time when they first started out, until Luna accidentally began taking over his scenes half way through and Noct found he really didn’t mind one bit, ultimately giving up altogether. But Alex should have known Luna was a dom!
He knows that when he expressed interest in bdsm, Luna brought him down to Aranea’s club for the lessons they held there on the basics; stuff like rope work and safety precautions. He would know, he’d been helping out that day. Everyone down at the club knew Luna was a dom, and nothing she every said or did indicated otherwise. The guy had even approached him, asking for advice on their past scenes together. Noct had explicitly said she was a great dom!
Yet despite all that, he somehow got it into his head that she was a sub and when they came to do their first scene together he was, apparently, thrown for a loop. Worse, it appears he was only interesting in it if he was the one on top. And it would seem that even the thought of giving up control to a woman was enough to send him running.
“Dude probably has small dick syndrome.”
She snorted around her spoon, “Noctis!”
[Umm, I can’t think how to connect these two bits...so stuff happens...]
She hooked a single finger under his chin, tilting his head to meet her piercing gaze head on, “You want to know?”
He swallowed, eyes drifting over her should to the black bag sitting innocently on the arm of the couch; her own little bag of tricks. She only used it for one thing and right now, it’s sides were bulging, full of promises. Kinky promises. Gods, yeah, he wanted to know, whatever she had planned had to be good if she’s breaking that out.
“Are you sure?” He breathed, uncertain. She’d just broken up with Alex, it just seemed kind of...too soon?
Her eyes softened a little and she released his chin to cup his cheek, thumb gently caressing his skin. He couldn’t help but lean into her touch. “Yes, it’s... I am.” she sighed, continuing suddenly less confident, “But only if you want.”
He felt a surge of affection spread deep in his chest. In that moment he wanted nothing more than to be able to take all her fears and uncertainties away. He turned to nuzzle her hand, pressing his lips against her palm, “Yeah, I want to.”
There was a triumphant swell in his chest as he watched her lips tug up into one of those sweet smiles. It quickly faded because he was suddenly too busy trying to remember to breath as she tugged him down to claim his own lips in a biting kiss.
“I, uh,” He coughed awkwardly, when she released him long enough to take a breath, “I might need a shower first.” In all honesty, it’d been a while and he needed make some preparations.
“Ah, I need a few minutes to get everything ready anyway.” She smirked one of those wicked little smirks of hers and rolled her head around to glance at her bag pointedly. “Is the bedroom alright?”
Noct could help but follow her gaze, sucking on his bottom lip and nodding dumbly. Then had to take a moment to reconsider, “Uh, actually the spare room might be better.” His room was kind of a mess right now.
She giggled, shaking her head in fond exasperation, “Alright, you pretty yourself up then come find me.”
He snorted at the phrasing, “Do I need to dress up for you?”
She hummed for a moment in mock consideration, eyes trailing up and down his body, “Hm, no not tonight. You only need to bring yourself.” And there was that wicked smirk again. His mouth went dry as she leaned in to murmur in his ear, “Let me dress you tonight.”
Shivers ran up and down his spine at the implication and he swallowed, nodding obediently. He could still feel the tingle of heat from her lips against his ear minutes later while he desperately tried to compose himself under the spray of the shower. Gods, they hadn’t even started and he was already coming undone. It really had been too long since he’d gotten laid...
He managed to get his feet under him by the time he was out and toweling his hair dry. Only to have them knocked straight out from under him again as he stepped completely bare into the spare room.
Most people who heard the word “dom” usually thought of black leather. But there was something to be said about the way Luna looked right now, perched elegantly on the edge of the bed wrapped in white lace. Like a Goddess, or ethereal being from another realm. Noct was kneeling at her feet before he could even register himself moving.
Her pleased smile was all the reward he needed in that moment.

Get Your Game On! -- FFXV x The Video Game Store
Oh hey, guess where I work at. Now guess what inspired me to write this headcanon. C: YEAH BUDDY. Have some headcanons about these awesome characters as some... Maybe just as awesome customers!
Noctis Lucis Caelum --
The silent browser.
If you greet him, and he’d awkwardly tell you that he’s just looking around.
Spends all of his time staring at the games in the Playstation section -- VITA included.
You don’t really know what he’s looking for, but he looks confused at everything.
Even when you think he’s lost and confused, he comes up with ten games.
Not sure if he’s getting these games because he’s going to play them all, or just for the sake of having them.
Maybe both, but you’re still confused when he comes back in next week for more games.
Plays a little bit of everything to know about anything.
But recommending games to him is a nightmare because he’s played everything.
He’s a good guy though, so you don’t mind him browsing for hours upon hours.
Prompto Argentum --
Way too excited to be shopping for video games.
But at least the energy makes it fun to work.
Likes to shout out questions from across the store as he’s looking at games, but never directly approaches because he’s looking still.
‘Have you played this one?!’ You have, and so has he. He was just wondering.
Stoked for anything and everything JRPG and anime.
Does the really loud and dramatic gasp that signals you that he’s probably going to buy something.
But usually whenever he opens his wallet, he cries inside because there goes his money.
And yet, he comes back next week and hollers about how good the game he got was.
Comes to all of the late-night launches for his favorite games and takes pictures to promote the store alot.
Has probably waited 12 long years for KH3.
Ignis Scientia --
The last real game he’s played was released, like, a million years ago.
Doesn’t play video games often, but he came in and upgraded his system when someone decided to add his console to their ‘collection.’
Settled with a Playstation because he’s curious about what the interest was.
You don’t see him for another month later after he bought his system, Detroit and Horizon Zero Dawn.
He had to 100% complete both of the games before he trades them in and finds another couple.
Did you know there’s DLC, Iggy? ‘There is?!’ He buys it and plays the crap out of that too.
He only ever gets a couple games at a time, but they’re lengthy guys.
Three months later, and he still hasn’t completed Skyrim.
But then again, can you even really beat that game?
He’s the regular that makes it his mission to bring cookies as a gift for the holidays. For being such a helpful staff.
Gladiolus Amicitia --
Looks like a burly FPS bro, so it’s not surprising that he is one.
Gets all of the Call of Duty and Battlefield games when they come out, like it’s a designer trend.
Yes, they’re both the upgraded editions too.
Plays mostly Grade A titles that happen to be popular around the time, and brags about it alot.
He’s very direct about what he wants, and rarely ever browses for a new game.
Xbox for life. Doesn’t care that everyone else has Playstation because he just borrows Ignis’s system.
Comes in sometimes not for his own games, but simply to find a rare otome or harem anime game.
You squint a bit at Code Realize in your hands, but he says that its for his little sister.
But you caught him in the act when you made a passive comment about how Arsene was your favorite character.
Hey, he’s gotta play something in between the release of his CODs and Battlefields!
Lunafreya Nox Fleuret --
Doesn’t have time to be at home usually for an actual home console, so he’s quite happy with Nintendo Switch.
She gets all of the cute games on her system, and often uses it for little kids to help calm them when healing them.
Doesn’t know what games to get usually, so she has lengthy conversations about what would be a cute one.
Gets more obscure games usually, but that’s because the covers look the cutest.
An absolute fan of Cat Quest, because cats.
She’s always asking about what new games would be nice to keep an eye on, and preorders to make sure she gets them.
Free stuff? You bet your butt you’re giving it to her. The puppy face is too much.
She got Super Smash Bros for her Switch recently, thinking it’d be fun for the kids to play.
But she had to unlock all of the characters on her own, so she played for a week straight.
Don’t ever challenge her to Smash Bros now. She’ll destroy you with Zelda.
Ravus Nox Fleuret --
He’s that poor sucker that gets the older generation consoles from pretty much everyone.
Not that he minds. He’s okay with a casual game here and there.
Browses exclusively in the discount game bin, only to be disgruntled by the million copies of Madden in it.
All about that RPG life where he can be a knight in it.
But he comes back in shock as he tells you the story about that elf Zevran and how he accidentally witnessed an awkward romance scene.
Now he plays these glorified dating sims. For the story and for the handsome men.
He’ll often come to the store on weird occasions -- usually at night -- to ask you about all of his tech support and game walkthrough questions.
He’s technologically handicapped.
Tends to get all of the warranties and game protections on everything he buys.
He’s got nasty game rage and dogs, so he keeps everything protected.
Ardyn Izunia --
A fan of the classics and comes in often with the games he buys online through the web inventory.
Opens it all up to make sure if things are fakes or not, because collector’s gotta collect.
Gets on his high-horse alot about how he has an unsealed collector’s edition of The Witcher III, which you still don’t believe him on.
He comes in with the intent on preordering collector’s editions only for games, and drops so much money on all of it.
How rich is this guy?! It’s probably best that you don’t know.
All of his games are in steelbooks, so he asks often about if you can give him whatever steelbooks you have to keep his games in tact.
Tiny retro game systems? You bet your butt he wants to buy those.
Supposedly can speedrun Super Mario Bros in record time, but again: you still don’t believe him.
Probably the most eccentric person you deal with, and he’s actually really difficult with his insane collector’s demands.
But nevertheless, he definitely keeps things interesting, and gives you stellar reviews.
Cor Leonis --
He doesn’t really come in for the video games, to be honest, but is still a regular for some reason.
Bought Red Dead Redemption 2, and that’s been the only game he’s been playing.
You try to recommend other things, but nope. Only Red Dead.
And Monster Hunter World. He admittedly enjoyed that one too.
But you make most of your sales from him when he buys collectibles.
All about those Dragon Ball and anime statues.
Avoided the POP figures for a long time, but caved when he saw a Sailor Moon POP.
It was too cute. Don’t judge him.
He gets made fun of by the other regular, Loqi, that ‘conveniently’ happens to be shopping the same time as him.
But jokes on Loqi. His Madara statue is worth more than Loqi’s car.

@new-recipe asked: For Prompto, Ignis, and Gladio: How do you think they each first met each other? What were their opinions on each other then?
Gladio and and Ignis probably met around the same time they met Noctis, so they’ve known each other for a while.
I actually don’t think they cared much for each other at first. Ignis seems like he would have been a quiet kid, but when he spoke it was with a smart mouth. Gladio probably would have found him stuck up and annoying. He didn’t like the prince, and he didn’t like the prince’s adviser.
And I think Ignis might have been a little bit jealous of Gladio. Gladio was allowed to be a little more carefree. They both worked for the royal family, but they lead vastly different lives. Even from a young age, every choice Ignis made had to be carefully thought out. It got exhausting, and he found himself wanting some of the freedom Gladio seemed to have.
Of course at one point, when they were in their early teens, they actually had to sit down and talk. At that point they realized hey, this guy isn’t so bad!
Ignis was a lot friendlier than he let on, and Gladio was so easy to be around that Ignis felt himself relax a little for the first time in his life. After that, they were cool.
Poor Prompto probably didn’t leave the best first impression on the other two.
He met Gladio when Noctis convinced him to cut class with him (Gladio was probably cutting class too, but he’s not the prince so he thinks it’s different). Gladio called Ignis to gossip warn him about some small blond boy being a bad influence. They decided they didn’t like him, but they wouldn’t bother him because he was Noctis’s only friend.
It wasn’t until Prompto came over to Noctis’s place for a science project that they realized he wasn’t who they thought he was. Prompto was the only one actually trying to do work. Prompto lectured him about just dropping his bag in the middle of the floor (it was playful, but he meant it). Prompto offered to do the dishes when Ignis cooked, and even offered to help.
Prompto wasn’t a bad influence; he was sweet and wholesome. Ignis felt like he needed to protect him from Noctis. Gladio low-key found himself liking blondie more than the prince.
They were decidedly warmer towards him after they got to know him.
That whole time, Prompto was nervous about the other two more than anything. Ignis and Gladio were tall, attractive, rich, smart... but he was just Prompto. Clumsy, awkward, goofy Prompto. Once they warmed up to him, he relaxed. But man, did it take a while.

Flower Shop AU! Luna and Pet Shelter AU! Noctis~
:D :D :D
Oh my gosh so much cuteness, yes, please
-Luna’s family has owned the flowershop, it’s been around for a few generations. She brings Umbra and Pryna to the shop with her since they’re so perfectly well behaved. Pryna tends to stick by her side and help her by holding things in her mouth and fetching little things. Umbra naps a lot and is also the guard dog lol not that there’s much crime there, but if anyone tries taking an opportunity, Umbra is THERE, STARING INTO THEIR SOUL (ok not really that creepy but i’m sure it feels that way to the people getting caught XD)
-Noct is awkward shy rich bby, old money, heir to a fortune, that sorta thing. When he was a kid, he was feeling grumpy and slipped away from getting picked up after school and went for a walk. Got lost. Friendliest place he saw was an animal shelter. He went in, dad was called, he played with the animals while waiting to get picked up, and somehow even though he was in trouble, the animal shelter came out with a huge donation because of Noct’s big puppy eyes of his own and not wanting any animals he’d played with that day to get euthanized (the shelter may be no-kill but he probably wouldn’t know that, he just knows it’s a thing that happens and makes him sad)
-He ends up visiting that animal shelter a lot and since he’s quiet and stays out of the way and always listens and is willing to help with dirty jobs (and Dad did say it was ok when Noct begged him to so they’d let him help more and why not? it’s good for the boy to learn compassion and responsibility)
-He’s probably a volunteer cause he already has money and he’s doing it for the personal rewards. That animal shelter (and others in the city too, I’m sure, Noct does know there’s more than one ofc) probably does quite well thanks to him, between donations and charity drives that the influence of the Lucis Caelum brings such wealthy people to…
-He meets Luna at one of these events?
-Or perhaps he is running some errands cause something happened with the event coordinator, and he goes to Luna’s flower shop to get flowers for the event. He falls in love with her dogs (and her ofc, but OUTWARDLY just her dogs XD) and she loves what he needs the flowers for, and they make sure it’s only animal-safe flowers they have for it since pets and adoptees will be there, and ofc he invites her to attend and makes sure she knows she has no obligation to donate, he just wants to see her (and her pups) there

Clunk
Ignis looked up from the brief shut-eye he was allowing himself behind his hand. His eyes traveled first to his watch and then up to Noctis. Noctis’s beaming face. He picked up the watch, eyeing it, before pushing it back in question. Noctis slid in across the booth, offering him some of his fries. Ignis picked one up, dragging it through the ketchup and ate it silently in neat, precise bites.
The two of them burst into laughter. Noctis’s a goofy giggle and Ignis a rich chuckle.
“I had explored the idea of taking up some hunts, but you beat me to it.”
“Not really beat...but yeah, Cid put me up to it.”
“Cid? Cid Sophiar? Where is he?” Ignis asked, surprised.
“Around,” Noctis offered unhelpfully. He reached over despite his greasy hands and went to hook Ignis’s watch back on his wrist. “Oh sorry,” he said, trying to use the cuff of his shirt to wipe it clean. Given he was dusty and a bit wrecked from the creatures, it didn’t do much but Ignis smiled at the effort all the same. Noctis ran his fingers over the band. “I think you need to hang onto that a little better. How else you going to be my taskmaster?”
Ignis dunked his gaze a bit, but let his gloved fingers meet Noctis’s. “I will stay by your side, Noct. I remain faithful.”
Noctis sighed, only to lean closer. “Iggy...you’re my best friend. My brother. Okay, maybe sometimes more my mom, but nothing changes. Everyone calls me moody and unreachable and they call you a robot with coiffed hair.”
“Do they really?” Ignis asked, patting at his hair in a put-upon show of self-conscious vanity.
“Why they’d build an automaton that needs glasses, I’ll never know.” Noctis smirked at Ignis teasing innocence. “Yeah, and...it can’t be so bad out here. No one knows to treat me with unearned respect. That Luche guy kept calling me a sissy. Cid says I have to earn my keep. Better than a government-paid apartment and part-time job to teach me how the world works. Maybe when all’s said and done, this will be a cool story to tell my kids.”
“Very well could be.” Ignis took a few more fries. “I hope you got more than spuds or out-dated tech for your trouble, though.”
“Met a guy name Dave. He wants us to check out a bigger threat. I thought you might want to show those Glaives you’re not so delicate.”
Ignis indulged a smile, reaching over to steal a sip of Noctis’s soda. “You were always going on about your father’s own trip. I suppose it might be the same.”
“Think Gladio was more the one to talk about it,” Noctis said carelessly.
“Must have been,” Ignis said quickly. “Well now...we have things to discuss, decide, and divulge. We can’t rely on the kindness of strangers--”
“I don’t know about that,” Nyx said, going to nudge Noctis over. He helped himself to a fry. “Me and the boys were talking it over and we thought maybe we could stick together for a little bit. Just until we all decide what’s next. I was talking to Takka,” he said, gesturing to the restaurateur. “and he told me about some Havens. The magic is Oracle-based and should keep the daemons at bay. I picked up some meat from the kills and we could eat.”
“That would be amenable,” Ignis agreed quietly.
“I know we’re Galahdians, but we’re all Lucians, right?” Nyx asked.
“Lady Lunafreya and I might not be, but we’re still looking to survive the same,” Ignis offered.
“I don’t really care where you’re born,” Noctis said seriously. “You both served the crown. That makes you crown citizens.” He felt awkward making such statements. Still, he tucked his chin down, sucking on his teeth thoughtfully. “And so we’ll be in your debt.”
Nyx smiled around his pointed look. “Galahdians don’t deal with debt, Your Highness. We deal with what’s fair. So you join us for a campfire and meal, that’s it. We’ll expect the same sometime.”
“O-of course!” Noctis said, annoyed with the sudden use of his epithet but too shy to correct him.
Still, Ignis was notoriously good with reading Noctis. “I think, given the nature of things, it’d be best if you called him Noctis. None of us can really do by our titles at the moment.”
“Sure thing,” Nyx said easily. “Where I’m from?” he said, offering Ignis a handshake. “I’m just a son of an ancient line of hunters. Meant a little more there, but we didn’t have need for ruling class. But as this is your first trip outside the Wall, I want to welcome you to my stomping grounds. You two are going to be fine.”
“I should hope,” Ignis said with a sigh. He started to gather up the papers and tuck them neatly into a notebook. “Honestly, we should look into scrounging up some proper clothes. I’m afraid we stand out.”
“It’s hard to hide good looks,” Nyx said with a wink and a laugh. “Noct, go ask Takka there about the camp. I’m going to go figure out what Libertus wants to do, alright?” He spread his arms out. “It’s out under the stars, boys. Yet in this heat? I’ll be calling for rain.”

Swipe Right for Awkwardness (FFXV FANFIC) - Ch 1
It's been a long day for Noctis Caelum. He's serious about finishing his education and getting a degree, but he just can't deal with all those long, boring lectures given in consistently monotnous tones by disintersted, bespectacled professors. Aside from that, he has to deal with other students constantly trying to "befriend" him even though they're more interested in his status and money rather than actually getting to know him. Well, except one. "Hey, Noct!" A friendly voice belonging to a handsome, blond, freckled boy with an eccentric hairstyle resembling a chocobo's behind calls out to him. The sight of him brings a smile to Noct's lips. "C'mon, let's get out of here! It's time for our date!" Noctis mouths a quick "sorry" to the group of girls surrounding him as he's pulled away by Prompto Argentum, his best friend and the guy fangirls keep pairing him with like some wishful yaoi OTP. It's not like he minds though, since Prompto's been the only person who sees him as him and not as some privileged rich kid. He feels comfortable with Prompto and their friendship has only grown and deepened since they first met in high school. "Thanks for getting me out of there. You're the best, Prom." Noct says with a grateful sigh. "Couldn't just stand and watch you get mobbed. Last time that happened, I think you almost died!" "Yeah...almost." "Anyway, let's go grab something to eat. We're on a date after all!" "Oh, are we now?" Noctis rolls his eyes and laughs. It's not the first time he and Prompto's gone out on a "date" and he thought nothing more of it than his best friend's way of saying "hey, let's hang out." In all honesty, he thought it was endearing. Prompto never had any real friends either growing up, just like him, and when they first met, they clung to each other through thick and thin. Noctis was just hoping they wouldn't end up drunk and shamelessly displaying their questionable singing abilities on the streets of Insomnia like last time. "Wait, where are you taking me, Prom? Please don't tell me it's another one of those seedy bars you found on Moogle or that overpriced cafe by the station." Noctis groans. "Even better!" Prompto seemed to be very excited, worrying Noctis. His friend had a penchant for finding establishments of debatable quality. "We're almost there!" As Noctis began thinking of possible ways to get him and Prompto out fast if they end up being maligned by some punks in some backstreet pub, Prompto stops and practically squeals. "Isn't it beautiful?!" Noct looks around. They're on the promenade with great views of the ocean. The sun has begun to set and the sky's turning a fiery orange. Noctis thinks, "This isn't too bad. Open skies, a nice breeze, great view, and -" "CUP NOODLE TRUCK!" Prompto's excitied exclamation breaks Noctis' train of thought. "Wait, what?" Noctis is helpless as Prompto drags him to the vehicle reeking of the aroma of seafood, beef, and steam. "This is your idea of a date? That's it, I'm breaking up with you." "Aww, c'mon Noct..." Prompto gives him the most adorable pout ever and Noctis caves in. He has a weakness for cute faces, and Prompto makes the cutest ones. It's unfair. They order two steaming cups and take their places on the edge of a pier. It's a quiet day on the shore and they have the whole pier to themselves. Prompto's busily slurping on his noodles while Noctis takes his time picking out the little bits of vegetables on his. "Hey Prom, this is nice for a change." "What do you mean for a change?!" Prompto looks hurt. "I mean, it's nice not to be drunk for once." Noctis chuckles. "It's just you, me, and...cup noodles." Prompto leans on Noctis. "Romantic, isn't it?" Noctis wraps his arm around his best friend's shoulders. "I guess. We do make a pretty good couple." They sit there quietly watching the sunset as Noctis contemplates on what he just said. He can't deny that he and Prompto could get really intimate at times and it felt natural. Hell, it made him feel good and warm inside. He can't quite explain it, but when Prompto's around, he feels complete and happy. If only he had the courage to tell him he might have a small crush on him, but he pushes the idea to the side. After all, Prompto might not even be interested in him that way. "Hey, Noct. Watcha thinking?" "Huh?" Noctis mind returns to reality and sees Prompto looking at him. "Oh, nothing. I'm just enjoying this thing we're doing." "Same, dude. Never thought I'd actually have a friend like you." "That makes two of us." The sun finally takes its leave for the day, leaving the two illuminated by a dim light from an overhead lightpost. Noctis pokes Prompto, who looks like he's just about to give in to the creeping feeling of sleepiness. "Hey, we better get back. The sun's already down." Prompto groans. "Do we have to? You're like the most comfortable pillow ever." "C'mon" Noctis laughs and playfuly punches Prompto. "I'm not sleeping on the pier tonight, but you're welcome to do that." Noctis pulls Prompto up and they start walking back to the apartment they shared. It was a big, fancy loft occupying the top floors of a nice residential building Regis Caelum - Noctis' dad and the ever-busy president of Lucis Industries - got for him for his 18th birthday. The two boys kick their shoes off in the entryway and Noctis immediately heads for the wide, comfy couch in the living room. Most of the time, he ends up sleeping here even though his room was right up the flight of stairs because he was too lazy to drag himself up. Prompto, on the other hand, either slept in his room or on the floor when he got drunk. Noctis whips out his phone and checks his messages. Nothing much to see except some texts from his dad and Ignis that shared the same topics. Cleaning, laundry, and school. He sighs and locks his phone. Moments later, there's a notification "Hey. Looks like ur close. Wanna do something naughty 2night? ;)" Noctis glances at the stairs before opening the message. It's from a guy on a dating app he uses when he gets...lonely. Hands just don't really work anymore after a few days, so hooks up every now and then with a cute dude. Normally, he does the swiping, but this guy beat him to it. Noctis opens the guy's profile and checks the info. The profile pic is headless, but the slim, lean body that greets him makes his cock stir. It's completely smooth, except for a thin line of blond pubes leading to a significsnt bulge hiding behind a towel. "Maybe. What's under the towel?" The guy replies quickly. "Nothing much." Seconds later, it's followed by a pic of a gorgeous, curved cock. It's been way too long since he's had one of those and he bites his lip. "Can't wait to ride it." Noctis sends a pic of his own gorgeous dick and gets a reply almost immediately. "Damn. Tell u what. I'll ride u if u ride me. Deal?" "Deal. Meet up at the old motel at Ulrich and 12th?" "Cool. How much we splitting?" "I got it. Just show up. Txt u the room number when I get in." "Right. Cya. Will wait for ur txt." Noctis sighs happily and heads to his room to change into something a bit more comfortable. He knocks on Prompto's door and lets him know he's going out. "Hey, Prom. I'm heading out for a bit. Don't wait up for me." The door opens slightly and Prompto's face peeks out from behind. He has a wide grin on his face. "You look happy..." "Got a date. Just waiting for hi - erm - her to reply. Yeah!" Noct raises his eyebrow and laughs. "Did you just tell me you're cheating on me? Haha. Fine. Don't get her pregnant, aryt?" "Hey! It's nothing like that!" "Whatever. Enjoy yourself." Noctis waves at Prompto and leaves for the motel. It's not much to look at from outside, effectively masking its true purpose as a pace where trysts of every kind happen. Noctis opts for just a regular, air-conditioned room though he had choices of themed suites. One of them was a chocobo-themed one and he remembered Prompto. The idea of fucking his best friend suddenly infiltrates his mind and he ends up stiff and wanting. He wasn't opposed to the idea and it's not the first time he's imagined him and Prompto naked and fooling around in bed. "Hey. Still there?" "Yeah. U in already?" "Room 702. Just head on up. Lights out and no talking, ok?" "Y, u scared? Lol." "Nah. I just like it dark. Just slip into bed with me when u get here." "Fine. Be there in 10 mins." Noctis throws off his clothes and settles in under the thin blanket. The AC was doing a damn good job of keeping the room cold, but he won't be cold for long. Just like the guy said, he shows up 10 minutes later. Noct could hear the door open and close followed by the sound of clothes being dropped to the floor. The spot next to him gets warmer as the guy slides in next to him. They lie there awkwardly for a good five minutes before Noctis feels the guy squeezing his thigh gently. "Theres no turning back now..." Noctis thinks to himself before turning towards the guy beside him, feeling him up, and engaging the guy's tongue in a wet, noisy battle with his own.

Igncot Skater. When does Ignis fall in love? You said when Noct fell in lust. Does Noct do something sweet? Does Ignis think Noct is just cute then Noct shows his support for Prom and Ignis is hit with the feels?
Good question!! I’ve stuck to Noct’s POV for most of the side story so far, but Ignis’ side is coming soon :) It should help to explain just how Iggy feels about Gladio’s adorable friend, but until then, here’s some insight:
Noct is attracted to Iggy from the moment he wakes up in that hotel bed and sees those beautiful (angry) green eyes glaring down at him. But he isn’t the only one who feels the chemistry - Ignis, too, finds Noct fascinating right from the start, mostly because he presents himself as such a puzzle. Lying about his name, pretending he’s no big deal when clearly there’s something more than meets the eye. Iggy is determined to unravel his secrets.
It turns into something of an obsession, actually. After leaving Altissia, he researches the name “Noct” (which is the only hint he really has) but isn’t able to turn up much. He learns the son of business tycoon Regis Lucis Caelum is a young man named Noctis, but somehow doubts there’s any relation there. Noct didn’t strike him as a particularly rich or spoiled kid, and he doesn’t seem like an athlete, either. He’s literally such an enigma to Ignis that he finds himself thinking about him even in his sleep. And...well, that certainly complicates matters.
He’s actually surprised when Gladio starts dragging Noct to the rink during Prompto’s practices. He’s a distraction, to say the least, and it seems that every time he turns to look at Noct, he’s staring back. It’s cute, and also frustrating because Ignis still can’t figure him out.
Then Noct brings him coffee, and Iggy is pretty sure if it were anyone else calling him ‘Specs’ he’d be pissed - but it’s Noct, and Noct is one of the most awkward, genuine souls he’s ever met. Ignis likes awkward. He likes mysterious. He likes blue eyes and dark hair and fleeting smiles. Noct clearly likes him (does he actually think he’s being subtle about it? How cute...) and Ignis finds that he enjoys flirting. Making Noct flustered becomes a hobby of his, not that it’s difficult, but he isn’t sure he wants to take it further quite yet. Not until he gets Noct to open up to him more.
.....You’ll have to wait for the New Year’s Eve party to find out the rest ;)
