I'm just now realising how bad I shot myself in the foot making this a sideblog. I can't send asks to all the cool Lancer people.
Should I just like remake it as a new full blog or what?

DOJ/HR wasn't enough? They're goading albatross as well!?
Hail, Albatross, Tallow here, an actual ACS liason. Whatever that is, it's not us, might be people trying to get us killed, understandable if a little rude. What I can tell you is that we are not, and have not been at New Albion.
I cannot stop you from scrambling your forces but I can offer to send our guys in as a first wave, if nothing else we might take some bullets meant for you.

Greetings, Albatross. We at Avolio Combat Solutions have been receiving disturbing reports from our Albion Garrison that ships and mechanised chassis bearing your livery, have been attacking our outposts.
We of course know of your reputable history so should we believe that your equipment has been stolen by pirates, terrorists or other criminals? Or will ACS have to respond to your soldiers, with lethal force?
It is not our wish to provoke further hostilities, but yes. We are responsible for several attacks on nuclear weapons emplacements across New Albion, and we will continue to do so should we detect any more such weapons.
We are peacekeepers, and as such we are open to negotiating a more equitable peace on New Albion for all parties. But that peace cannot be backed by threat of nuclear annihilation, and as such we shall only do so once all nuclear weapons are removed, whether voluntarily or by force.

Hello there, I've been dealing with some thugs from Avolio Combat Solutions recently and they've been filling our shorelines with minefields, I was wondering if you'd have any good minesweeping gear that could limit ecological damage. Fishing is a big thing here y'see.
Yours humbly: Sally "Blindside" Roth, New Albion Self Defense Force 42nd Costal battalion.
If the mines are in the water, then the Restraining Cable could be used between two ships to cut their mooring chains. It's part of the upcoming SHAMHAT license, but we also sell all products as standalone licenses.
Also, although the Anltion is designed with long range guns in mind, it works just fine with melee weapons, and it's unique capability to strike too fast for enemy systems to react in time might enable it to neutralize mines without letting them detonate.

Greetings Horizon Collective Initiative. We here at Avolio Combat Solutions have heard through that wonderful Omninet grapevine that you are some of the best when it comes to NHP safety, as such ACS wishes to know about any possible dangers EMP or other electronic disruption weaponry may pose to our NHP friends, we take great pride in our equitable treatment of both human and nonhuman people, and wish to avoid causing unnecessary damage or distress.
The physical presence that NHPs have which humans can perceive cannot be harmed by EMPs, but that piece of their presence is connected to a large amount of electronic equipment which provides them with sensory information to give them human-like perception. If the electronic systems the NHP is connected to go down, the NHP gets cut off from everyone else. This is obviously very upsetting for them (imagine if you suddenly lost all of your senses and were alone in an infinite void).
Make sure you have humans on hand who can repair NHP crews' electronic systems ASAP if something like this happens. Having a dedicated paracausalist-electrician on a ship to work closely with your NHP crew as support is a great idea.
NHPs cut off from human-built sensory systems may be able to reach out paracausally, but not every NHP can pull this off in a way that humans can perceive. I've heard that battleships with networked NHPs can stay in contact with NHPs of EMP'd ships via paracausal means, but I'm not entirely sure how they accomplish this.
A direct attack to an NHP's casket with high voltage or even a hammer or axe can kill them, as far as humans are able to perceive. This is probably part of Union's design when they invented shackling and caskets.

Happy Halloween from ACS Omninet! Tallow here wishing you all well. Lucriza was kind enough to hold still long enough for me to do a doodle of her costume. That woman is like 20% hair. So as usual she's going as a warwulf. Stay safe, don't operate heavy machinery unser the influence of alcohol and have a Happy Halloween.
Tallow out.

Congratulations on your Transfer user! We here at ACS wish you well, and can see a bright future ahead of you!
- ACS/AM/V.1.08
+ Hail from R&D!
+ HELLO, AGAIN! After recent events and a long-overdue transfer, I am proud to announce that I am no-longer working with IPS-N; As of posting, I've officially become the youngest recruit of MSMC's 148th detachment, "Aftermarket Brokers"! My current position is mostly field testing and prototype development, but my specialization remains the same.
+ I am a biomedical engineer studying prosthesis, pilot accomodations, and cybernetic/subaltern maintenance. Over the months of running this Omninet account, I've answered dozens of questions about implant upkeep, cybernetic design, mech repair, and more- I won't pretend to be an expert on anything, but my cybernetic arms are my own design, as are the modifications to my VLAD, "GRAE". For now, most of my experience comes from my time studying on Carina, or operating under IPS-N contract- + Now that I can choose what I want to do, I hardly know what to do with myself--
+ As always, reach out any time with questions on cybernetic, subaltern, or prosthetic care!
( Original pinned post! )
// (@tigersharko) ooc every long post with gray ends up sounding like a resume cover letter- it's just how he talks (and partially how i type)- // updating gray's pinned post after his redesign/transfer, it's interesting to see how the character has grown thusfar!! he's turning 20 pretty soon actually (november 20th) !!!

[Greeting.omif]
Greetings and well met pilot! We here at Avolio Combat Solutions noticed that you have been experiencing cooling difficulties with your assigned NHP assistant. As a result we are extending a one-of-a-kind deal, for you to trial one of our new radiator systems!
[INVOICE BELOW ACS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, RADIOLOGICAL, OR NUCLEAR HARM CAUSED BY TRAILING THE XCS-F33. BY AGREEING TO THIS TRIAL YOU RELINQUISH ANY RIGHT TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST ACS OR ITS SUBSIDIARIES.]
//Pilot, you have one [1] unread message.
//huh? Hold on, lemme check… oh! Howdy!
//psst, Thermie, how do I answer a corporate message?
//Allow me, Pilot.
//Hello, [ACS]! We appreciate your offer, and are interested in the stated trial. Unfortunately, after Pilot’s classmate printed a HORUS-Gorgon, the hangar’s printers are under strict supervision by Command. We will forward this information to the needed authorization team and request clearance.
//We look forward to working with you, [if|when] our clearance is granted.
//Note: it is possible (and likely) that the heat vent issues in my chassis are caused by my presence and not a mechanical fault. I understand that a NHP can be a taxing thing for a system to run, especially one of my ramshackle assembly. I will factor in the necessary variables when working with the data you’ll collect as part of our trial run.

[Message sent]
Greetings honored one! We here at Avolio Combat Solutions welcome you to the omninet, we hope that you would be interested in taking a survey.
[Survey]
What is your preferred caliber and ammo type for interbarony conflict resolution?
How do you protect yourself from potentially lethal attacks?
Are you in the market for some anti assassination hardware?
- Yours thankfully, ACS
Fair greetings, A-C-S;
I would be thrilled to help develop- whatever it is that you are developing. To answer your questions;
I don't get involved in interbarony conflict. I am a performer, first and foremost, and my involvement in any real combat at all would endanger the value that I bring to my House—
I protect myself by simple awareness, I suppose. Awareness of my surroundings, potential threats, etcetera. Carrying around a particularly intimidating pilot's weapon as well helps, certainly. Though, now that I'm thinking about it- I'm truly not as protected as I thought-
—yes. Yes, I may just be interested.
Thank you for reaching out.

AMB-07 Flail
The AMB-07 Flail is Avolio Combat Solutions most direct and aggressively designed mech, made to breach defensive lines, armed with a heavy single edged sword capable of cutting through lighter targets with ease, for heavier armour though it draws upon the mechs reactor to superheat the blade, allowing it to melt apart armour.
For even heavier duty killing the Flail's heat claw is capable of ripping through oppoditions like tissue paper, regardless of armour. And in the event that the Flail finds itself to far from an enemy it can simply snare them with a grapple hook to pull them close.
Deploying flame and fury in equal measures not even total destruction of the Flails reactor cannot stop it, as it comes with a second auxiliary reactor for emergencies allowing it one last hurrah as burning reactor fluid and motor oil oozes from it like flaming blood.

It's been a slow day at the office, so I did a little self portrait. Lucriza should be back tomorrow. And there's going to be the annual Halloween office party tomorrow so I might be a little slower to respond. But I'll see about getting a proper report on the New Albion situation, I believe it's all been handled now.

Right, it's been a bit, but I finally got that report declassified for everyone, no sense hiding the shame if we want to maintain a semblance of reputation.
The New Albion conflict.
Location: Streppon City/Orbital Evevator "The Beanstalk"/Sector 11 Polar missile base, New Albion, Diaspora World
Time: 22.06.5025u-04.11.5025u
Result: Close Victory against Rogue Mercenary Warband "Hand of Roland", total planetary nuclear disarmament.
Territorial Changes: At time of writing negotiations are undergoing to see if New Albion will remain Diaspora or be absorbed into Union.
Belligerents: New Albion Resistance/DoJ/HR Peacekeeper Battlegroup 7 (Unknown division)/Albatross Wing (Unkown battlegroup)/ACS Internal Affairs Mechanised Battlegroup 4, 13th Shock Division/"Atom Walkers" Mercenary Battlegroup, Disaster Branch 6 and Rogue Mercenary Warband "Hand of Roland" Battlegroup 1, 23rd Armoured Division, 11th Strike Division, Battlegroup 5, 8th Naval Division, 2nd Artillery Division and Battlegroup 8, 32nd Infantry Division, 1st Exotic Materials Division, 15th Strike Division.
Commander's and Leaders: Douglas Hopp (NAR), Harriet Vern (NAR), Unkown Union DoJ/HR Commander, Unkown Albatross Commander, Lucriza Diaz (IA), Marchionne Torrens (IA), Hui Ci Ardito (AW), Voinea Mcbrown (AW), Creche Hindman (AW), Simson Birkenholz (HoR), Prasanta Vanguilder (HoR), Prasanta Vanguilder (HoR), Irmengild Belizaire (HoR), Razvan Maloof (HoR), Delphin Busscher (HoR), Erblina Paro (HoR)
Casualties: NAR: 155,000 (23,505 Captured or MIA), DoJ/HR: 10,230 (332 MIA), Albatross: 11,600 (12 MIA), ACS IA 16,070 (844 Captured or MIA), AW 55,700 (7 MIA), HoR 450,000 (10,645 Captured by NAR, 10,312 Captured by DoJ/HR 41,602 Captured by ACS IA, 6,453 MIA).
Further Notes: Questioning has been slow going, as expected most of the HoR grunts were kept in the dark as to why they were attacking, explanations varied, ranging from official ACS endorsement (we didn't), guidance from a "Higher Power" or A wealthy anonymous Contracter (who can pay a mercenary company to steal a planet?) To mame a few excuses. On a more positive note, relief work has gone well thanks to support from @officialunionhr and @albatross-lancer so New Albion is looking to be rebuilt by the end of the planetary year. Lucriza has filed numerous questions to the requisition teams to try and find out when the HoR went rogue.
That is all, Tallow Out.

Lobotomization cocktail. Barbarians, I don't know much about commanding or mech pilots. But ACS' explicit refusal to bundle mandatory arguments with their kit is why I signed up. Too many times I'd seen others on the field who weren't as lucky. So rotted by combat stims and brain tech they couldn't speak, couldn't see, couldn't even breathe anymore. Not without a string of code.
A pilot is many things, an enemy combatant, a brother-in-arms, a symbol of hope or an icon of death. But always, a pilot, a soldier, is still a person. To forget that is to curse yourself.
- Tallow Out.
"[...] It is the responsibility of TACINT handlers to provide tactical and strategic support to their assigned mech pilots during sorties. At times, this may extend to emergency psychological support; pilots retain a breakdown rate 68% higher than standard, and a poorly-timed psychological break can result in a mission wash, death of the pilot, or worse, damage to the mech. With that in mind, handlers are authorized to perform the following emergency actions to salvage an operation:
STAGE 1: Words of affirmation (see pg. 567 for example list). Centering exercises. Playing of previously-suppressed supportive voice-messages from friends and family.
STAGE 2: Release of low-level sedative cocktail into bloodstream. Handler assumes control over digital HUD, and may 'remove' targets or objects they deem distracting or upsetting to the pilot's mental state. Use of psychological analysis profile to attempt to appeal to pilot's mental weaknesses; requests and encouragement of 'obedience' and to 'make [your handler] very happy' highly successful.
STAGE 3: Playing of aggressive encouragement, insults, and harsh demands to 'get up' from friends and family; voice synthesizers available if needed. Encouragement from handler should become harsher and shift into negative reinforcement, threatening removal of privileges. Handler may attempt to take manual control over mech's functions if the pilot is cooperative; if not, progress to stage 4.
STAGE 4: Introduction of permanent lobotomization cocktail into pilot bloodstream through neurocord; handler to assume manual control over the frame and immediately attempt to exfiltrate. Recovery of pilot body not a priority.
Upon recovery and return to base, the pilot in question must be immediately recycled; pilots who have a single psychbreak have a 96% chance of having another within 12 months, but new pilot training requires only 3 months. The calculus is self-explanatory."

Welcome to the Omninet Gambit. Tallow here to roll out the welcome mat, and advise caution with that HORUS stuff, granted you are a mechanic so I'm sure you know more about it than me.
GOOD MORNING OMNINET!!!
>> Hello!!! It's been a long time since I've been planetside, but I figured I might as well have some fun while I'm on a core world and have access to the omninet!
>> Your friendly local mechanic specializing in legacy technology and near light freighters! I typically work on long-haul ships intended to be out in deep space for a WHILE but I work on anything I can get my hands on. I've even been branching out into prosthetics recently, I made a prosthetic eye for myself!!
>> My name is Vissily, callsign GAMBIT, and I pilot a technicolor goblin called BUGHOUSE BRAWL. It runs on some legacy OS that I dug out of some deep dark corner of a HORUS forum, I think it's called "Hannah Montana Linux."
>> Feel free to come to me for all of your old-ass technology needs, or just to say hi!

Tallow here, it is odd how a lot of the most notable faces on the Omninet tend to be active Lancers, but u suppose the galaxy's a busy place. Also if poison is a problem I have heard that some groups make filtration implants to protect against chemical attacks, although that's more for toxic gas than whatever stuff fancy folk assassins use.
Upon mine second month of Omni-net presence now. Tis most amusing to me that mine fellows on this platform art mostly Kavaliers. Thou speakest of firefights and explosions whilst mine days art mostly filled with diplomatic meetings, paperwork, and the shade of volcanic ash which sometines cloudeth mine sky. I worry for poison in mine wine far more than a stray bullet catching mine shoulder.
How different, the lives we all liveth! Fuhuhu~
