Post-canon Vivec be upon ye!
Some headcanons: •He had a few potions prepared just in case so he doesn't really age for now and won't get infected with some serious illness.
•Was absolutely mentally wrecked from losing his divinity (as if the return of his old friend that he had murdered wasn't enough) but surprisingly it helped him deal with some other mental problems in the end.
•Travels Tamriel with Sotha Sil (yes I couldn't just put up with his death), who is now a big dwemer-ish quadruped mecha thanks to the Clockwork City and his past experiments. Sil's soul is the same but his body is now very different, although he doesn't seem to mind. Vivec doesn't mind as well, using Sil as transport :D
•Smokes a hookah or a pipe 24/7, the only reason he didn't damage his voice yet is probably Azura not wanting him to screech like a cliff racer cuz Vivi definitely isn't giving up singing under no circumstances.
•Made up an insane backstory for himself and Sotha Sil, pretends to be one of those heroes who once were prisoners, tells everyone he found mecha-Sil in a dwemer ruin and managed to repair him.
•Shows off for a living. Sings, tells stories (mostly made up and about himself), occasionally sells trinkets.
•Avoids sleep until passing out, has bad dreams quite often and blames Sharmat on it (it's just consequences of his tough life). Additionally doesn't really like staying tet-a-tet with his thoughts for long.
•He and Sotha Sil try their best to care for each other, although Vivi doesn't always understand what a big mecha might need and often doesn't let Sil know about how he feels cuz he's too proud and cool to be sad or scared. But they slowly open up more to each other. Overall they get along really well.
•Used to be quite skinny as a god but it's chubby Vivi era now.
#the elder scrolls#tes art#tes morrowind#morrowind#vivec#dunmer#i guess... since he's all gray now#my art#fasta draws#wow that's a lot of text i sure hope i didn't make any stupid mistakes :D#i avoid designing my post-canon sotha sil at all costs cuz designing mechas is scary#but it's also interesting so i hope i'll make a couple of sketches

Hi guys, this is usually what a doodle page ends up looking like <3 (oh, and @ancha-aus thought you might like this! Not writing but certainly fuel to my fire lol-)
This one is New Age filled!!! (Close-ups abd Lore beneath the cut!)
1) Night and Cross!
Night is actually very clingy once he's a teen. He doesn't usually realize it, but around the castle he'll snake to be closer to his Knights so long as there's no one he needs to keep his composure infront of is nearby. Cross is the one who's not used to physical touch (when it's not Ink ofc) so Night in his personal bubble makes his heart melt but also scares tf out of him <3
2) Error and Night's Meeting!
Error was carrying his whole life on his back and trying not to get arrested for unintentional property damage at this point, so when he saw the chance to get back at his brother and prove he was strong enough? Yeah, he got that on chance instantly. And was VERY smug when Nightmare chose him. (Also, Error is wearing gloves, so less Haphephobia)
3) Dream and Blue designs!
I think these are good tentative designs! Dream probably has a more regal fit, but he likes to play up that rugged exile look- He's inspired by Archers, while Blue takes on that classic Knightly-vibe. Their equipment is mostly stolen from Night's troops or brought with them from Blue's home kingdom.
Also, Dream is approx Killer's height at this point, shorter than Cross and *much* shorter than Apple!Nightmare. (Hc that Skeletons tend to be tinier in stature thanks to weird monster beauty standards. Horror and Geno's fam are outliers.)
4) Horror and Dust designs!
Horror is naturally a very *large* monster. He's very malnourished when Nightmare meets him, but by the time he's a Knight Nightmare has made sure that's no longer the case. He actually loves comfy, simple clothes, but to play up the whole 'strong mysterious' bit he wears a more barbaric Knight's garb. He doesn't mind acting scary, it's more fun that way :]. Dust is very very small, and envies horror sometimes for his size, but his tiny stature let's him control his body and move a lot quicker. He's very much based on a rogue, and usually covers the lower part of his face w/ a black cloth, and the upper part w/ his hood or mask. Dust only removes both to bathe, eat, or relax in a safe location. (Ignore that I can't draw the stupid gaster blaster lmao-)
These last two were space-fillers, but Cross and his Borzoi (Windmill, otherwise known as Milly (Killer named her-)) and really bad first wips of Ccino! I think Ccino was a chubby, happy toddler, but lost a lot of 'weight' (bone mass? Magic?) due to stress and pressure and bad eating habits. So it isn't until a while after the Coronation that he starts to relax abd feel safe enough to eat normal meals (Nightmare used to guilt him into eating snacks together, but as his boss (and younger brother) he can encourage it more often). By the time Killer shows he's still not quite healthy, but he's better. As more weight is lifted off his shoulders, the better he is. (That 'beauty' most people saw was a more stereotypical slimness, but Killer never stopped seeing Ccino as beautiful-) I think he never looked traditionally underweight, so no one noticed, and it was only much later that Night processed it. (And maybe it's why Dream hardly recognized him later on-)
#new age au#I love showing mundane life things-#and also these designs beamed into my brain#I can't draw Ccino for anything but the others? yeag#Blue is definitely my fave. and just like every au I will draw Blue perfect the first time and draw Dust 6 billion times 😔#Horror is kinda banger too tho#makes me laugh to imagine Horror picking up Dust mid-fight out of convenience and Dust weighs nothing to him#(also this size difference is exactly why Dust and Horror fight in the non-magic training. and why Horror accidentally obliterated his#shoulder later on lmao- Dust needs to be able to dodge any enemy. Horror needs to aim for small and quick targets.)#(Meanwhile Cross is the newest and Killer the oldest and if Cross adapts to Killer then he'll adapt to the others more easily.)#oh! and Ccino w/ his arc? I think I really like the idea of a Ccino with a plump body-type. but that conflicts with my vidion of Ccino kinda#losing track of eating and being co-erced by adults to skip meals just enough to make him the 'right amount' of curvy#so when Nightmare takes over it's a habit he's so used to he hardly notices that he's doing it. but. Night picks up on it because Ccino is#almost akways with him. their relationship is very much Ccino giving his life to help Night#but it's also Night recognizing that and giving it back to Ccino along with more the moment he can#just smth smth this au is full of fit and exercized people and I think Ccino deserves some comfort and healing and positivity <3#also I am SO fond of Nightmare getting up in people's bubbles. he does it most to Killer and Ccino for obvious reasons but#god forbid a noble be talking behind his back because he *will* twist around and shove under his knight's arms or sides just to#read them the riot act or stare them down <3#and I think when he was an adult Night was... kinda like the big brother? like. not an experienced one by any means. but he wasn't *not*#affectionate then either. he was better at being serious about it and more discreet. but like#Nervous Cross escorting him in public? Night nudges his shoulder briefly with a Tendril to try and comfort him. Dust having a magic overload#? personal Training against just Night so there was no risk of harming anyone else. then snacks and tea after.#Horror is homesick? Woah look at that a scheduled trip back to visit with Crop and side-track back to Horror's village? huh?? wild...#Killer upset at all? Night will find a solution. just you wait. a cat. two cats. perhaps even a cat in a little sweater? or y'know. just a#chat or a combat?#Nightmare showed his affections but was just more distant about it.#Oh also. all four were used to tendrils lifting/tugging them subconsciously. usually during trainings to avoid them hurting eachother by#mistake in their early days. Killer misses it sometimes

Absolute tragedy at doll time: my cat broke the headdress of my Qing Empress Barbie
#els.txt#it’s not like. a design shattering doll ruining mistake right?#and the part that broke off is small and simple enough I can probably make a replacement out of hot glue and some gold paint#but it’s so noticeable and it makes me sad lol#I know this could’ve been avoided by keeping her in the box but I’m of a firm belief#that dolls should be held and touched and loved

Interior Design Mistakes to Avoid
Common Pitfalls and How to Steer Clear
Interior design is an exciting journey that can transform your living space into a haven of comfort and style. However, even the most seasoned decorators can fall into common traps that may compromise the overall aesthetic and functionality of a room.
1. Ignoring the Importance of a Plan
One of the biggest mistakes in interior design is diving in without a solid plan. It’s tempting to start buying furniture and decor the moment inspiration strikes, but without a clear vision, your space can end up feeling disjointed. Take the time to plan your layout, consider the flow of the room, and establish a color scheme that ties everything together. By starting with a comprehensive design plan, you ensure that every piece you bring into the space has a purpose and complements the overall aesthetic.
2. Choosing Style Over Comfort
It’s easy to be drawn to trendy furniture that looks great in a showroom or magazine, but comfort should never be sacrificed for style. A beautiful sofa that’s uncomfortable to sit on will quickly become a regret. When selecting furniture, test it out for comfort and durability. Remember that your home is a place for relaxation, so prioritize pieces that are as functional as they are stylish.
3. Overloading the Space with Furniture
Another common mistake is overcrowding a room with too much furniture. While it may be tempting to fill every corner with stylish pieces, this can lead to a cluttered and cramped environment. Instead, focus on selecting a few key pieces that serve both a functional and aesthetic purpose. Leave enough open space to allow for easy movement and to give your room a more spacious feel.
4. Poor Lighting Choices
Lighting is one of the most crucial elements of interior design, yet it’s often overlooked or poorly executed. A room with inadequate or harsh lighting can feel unwelcoming and flat. To avoid this, layer your lighting by incorporating ambient, task, and accent lighting. Use a combination of overhead lights, floor lamps, and table lamps to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Don’t forget to take advantage of natural light by keeping windows unobstructed and using sheer curtains to diffuse sunlight.
5. Neglecting to Create a Focal Point
Every well-designed room needs a focal point—a standout feature that draws the eye and anchors the space. Without a focal point, a room can feel chaotic and directionless. Whether it’s a bold piece of artwork, a statement fireplace, or an eye-catching piece of furniture, make sure to create a centerpiece that gives your room a sense of balance and cohesion.

so I've been watching the KH Union Cross stuff (in order, thank goodness, this would be so confusing to piece together otherwise), and like, I knew enough about UX that the appearance of the foretellers at the end of KH3 wasn't confusing bc I knew who they all were, but getting the expanded, explained lore and I'm like okay, actually these weirdos in animal masks are pretty cool, glad to know they'll show up (presumably) in future games
also I'm glad that memorizing the Latin names for the seven deadly sins is finally paying off
#I'm still going to have to comb the wiki or something later to figure out some lingering questions#which I probably still have bc I got a condensed version of all the games for just the story content#so any weird bits of minor worldbuilding that occur due to like gameplay stuff I'd totally miss out on#or I just simply Don't Remember what something was when it was explained bc I was distracted by the outfit designs or something#(I am so distracted by character designs all the time and KH outfits are off-the-wall distracting)#but like overall actually the UX stuff is very interesting!#love to see that lack of communication and poor decision making is not just limited to the old men of the series#(except Merlin he's fine actually he's the only old man who does not seem to make poor life choices)#like wow so many issues might have been avoided if decisions were made differently#which I mean the story works great bc the tragedy is knowing that things could have been better but would never be#bc the characters wouldn't have made the decisions differently bc of their characterization#and UX being Oops All Prequels means it was fated to be tragic in some way or another bc like#you do not get the setting of KH w/out the tragedy of the first Keyblad War (and possibly other things?)#so like I'm fine with the characters making poor decisions bc it makes a good story but also Hot Damn#KH is just generations of mistakes and poor life decisions#and the kids are actually really doing their best at every turn even if they're against the absolute worst odds#and still the theme of the power of friendships persists...absolutely excellent#oracle of lore

*Exhale*
Alright, I've been teasing it long enough. Anyone that's been paying attention has probably figured out what my oh-so secret project has been (not that it's going to stop me from vague-posting about it), and he really is close to being finished.
Face-up. Done. (Though I would like to touch-up where the paint has chipped)
Clothes. Painted.
Wig. Styled.
I literally just need to put the fringe on his scarf, but for whatever reason, I've just been hit with this wave of fatigue since about the time I wrote the last confessions post (frankly, if you ever see me writing/posting long-ass posts, it's because I've lost the energy to use my hands to make things).
I guess I just burned myself out from making both him and Kun3h0 at the same time, that when Kun3h0 got finished, my whole body shut down having felt relief from "completing" the project. To be fair, this has been going on since at least mid-Janurary, so I am more than ready to close the book on this one.
I'll try to finish him within the month, but there are also a lot of other things going on with me ATM, so I wouldn't hold me to it.
#i'm thinking that part of it is that he honestly turned out *worse* than kun3h0#so i may be subconsciously trying to avoid having to post him#the plan was that he was supposed to be the first one finished#because his construction is a lot simpler#i didn't need to sew any clothes for him aside from the scarf fringe which is holding me up#so the idea was that I would take what I learned from making him to apply to kun3h0#but the way things worked out i wound up working on them simultaneously#which split my attention so i made a lot of mistakes on him#and since he's an already established character it's easier to notice the design errors#whereas kun3h0 (despite more or less completing her pngtuber model) still occupies a vague space in my brain#so it's not a big deal if I don't add every white stripe to kun3h0's outfit or if her eye is a little wider than it is tall#but it does bug me when I can't get his face to look exactly as it does in-game#frankly. he's too *cute* right now#i have never considered him (in his original appearance) to be 'cute'#i don't even think he's particularly handsome. he just hits a lot of my bias points#but the base doll was designed to be *very* handsome and i can't do much about that without making it a total mess#i just don't feel like i've captured his 'essence' as well as i captured kun3h0's#but i'd rather he be inaccurate than ruin it entirely trying to do something beyond my means

7 Common Mistakes to Avoid When Hiring Web Designers
You won't regret your choice if you choose the right web developers for hire for your website development needs. This will genuinely assist your business expansion. However, how can one steer clear of these warning signs when selecting the ideal agency?
Here are the top 7 mistakes businesses make when hiring a web development company, and this article can help you avoid them.
1. You Hire a Web Designer by Seeing Their Portfolios on Online Platforms
For modest, short-term jobs, you frequently just search for "web designers near me" and then approach freelancers to complete your work. You may have seen the portfolios of the web designer you hired on sites like Yelp, Bark, Behance, or Dribbble. The issue with this strategy is that since they haven't created their portfolio in front of you, it is challenging to assess their true talent.
From their perspective, though, we should also take into account the fact that they are unable to display their clients' work on any websites. Although many designer mockups are imaginative ideas intended to demonstrate abilities, it frequently happens that they do not help accomplish business goals.
2. Using the Wrong CMS for Your Needs
Whether it's WordPress, Expression Engine, Squarespace, Drupal, or Shopify, many web designers work primarily with one CMS platform. That is perfectly acceptable; I also operate in that manner, which facilitates quicker improvement through familiarity.
However, each person has various needs for their website. I mostly use WordPress, although occasionally Shopify, Expression Engine, or Squarespace are better choices. As a web expert, it is my responsibility to know which platforms are ideal for the client's needs and to comprehend the various options accessible. Whether or not I sell the product, it is my responsibility to recommend the best alternative.
A skilled designer who looks out for your best interests can save you time and money by putting you into the appropriate solution, not just the one they happen to sell.
3. Ignoring the Hidden Expenses of a "Cheap" Website
It is difficult to know what to anticipate when choosing a web solution that is cheaper or if you are just a startup with a limited budget. Even if it's a cheaper website, you will be paying additional costs.
Be ready to invest more effort and time if you are less budgeted and want to make money. Although it is easy to find a web designer to create a website for you at lesser rates keep in mind it may take months to complete and meet your business objectives.
4. When You Select Only One Website without Taking Any Factors into Account
A website project might range in price from high costs to extremely low due to differences in scope. You can choose the right development company for front end web development services, a website that will represent your company's identity, not merely an interface or responsiveness of your web design framework. It's common for you to choose a website based only on its pricing page. Not specifically looking for the services and features offered by the websites.
When choosing a website, it is essential to consider the following elements in order to guarantee the greatest deliverables. Make sure the website you choose offers smooth integrations with third-party app tools, an easy-to-follow setup guide, and a web designer who is adaptable enough to work with these elements.
5. When the Web Designer Picks the Domain and Its Name on Your Behalf
Letting the web designer choose the domain name and web hosting is one of the biggest blunders businesses make. Keep in mind that a web designer is merely a worker for your company. Let them handle other technical duties; you shouldn't get involved.
According to an article by Forbes on choosing the right domain name, selecting a domain name directly impacts your branding and SEO strategy.
Since the website is an essential component of your brand, don't let anyone else take care of these important duties on your behalf. Make sure your commonly used eternal email account is connected to the domain name you choose. Additionally, pay attention to when it renews; if you miss it, you will either lose your domain or have to pay more to renew it.
6. Believing that building a website is a one-time event and that maintenance is not important
Give up the notion that after a website is created, upkeep is not necessary. The business world is always evolving. It constantly requests that you update it on your website. To remain relevant in the market as your firm grows, you must oversee new upgrades, company updates, marketing campaigns, get rid of old material, and more.
7. When Your Budget Is Greater Than Your Allotted Budget
Just remember one thing. A website's obligation includes more than just its design. Similarly, the website needed a web hosting platform, dependable plugins, a domain name, and everything else. These also come with additional expenses, which will raise your actual budget and make you second-guess your decision to hire a web designer for your new websites.
In actuality, however, other aspects will increase your expenditure.
Domain cost: Look for your dream domain name or even buy it before deciding on your design budget. Some domains are highly expensive and made especially for businesses.
Platform expenses: Check out what platform to use and how much will it cost. This is especially important for e-commerce websites because the costs of moving transactions between platforms can have a big effect on your earnings.
Photographer or stock images: Whether they are stock photos or photos taken by a photographer, high-quality images are crucial for any website.
To improve audience involvement and communication on your website, pick between brand imagery, which is more costly, and stock photographs, which are more affordable. Decide how much you want to spend on user photographs after taking your business needs into account.
Conclusion
However, by taking certain steps, you can steer clear of these hiring errors for web designers. It hurts that these web designers made hiring errors! Although you are thrilled with your new website, the expenses are escalating and surpassing your original budget. A competent designer will collaborate with you to identify solutions that fit your requirements and price range. You may reduce the possibility that your web design project will go over budget by being organized, honest, and open with your communication. Avoid these mistakes and get in touch with the top web design or development company.

Home Selling Pitfalls: 11 Design Upgrades Real Estate Experts Recommend Skipping
In a competitive housing market, first impressions matter, and understanding buyer psychology is crucial for a quick sale. “Even though you only need one buyer, it’s essential to present your home in the best possible light,” says Austin-based real estate agent Emily Ross. She notes that today’s buyers are becoming more selective and less inclined to renovate after moving in. Ross advises, “When in doubt, go classic.” Neutral tones, matching appliances, and open spaces are particularly appealing to buyers who want a blank canvas to make their own.
Ross, along with Opendoor’s head of real estate, Kerry Melcher, recommends examining nearby listings to see what’s working. “I often find a recently sold home in the neighborhood that achieved a high price or quick sale as a model to follow,” Ross says. Conversely, if your home lacks a renovated kitchen while others have one, you might miss out on competitive offers.
To help sellers navigate current design trends, we asked real estate agents for insights on what to avoid and their recommendations for buyer-friendly alternatives.
