The fact that some people get so gatekeepy about books and reading is astonishing. You're not a better person because you like this author over that author. Let people enjoy books and authors that you don't like.

And obviously I'm not talking about authors who are problematic or horrible people. They shouldn't be getting continuous support. But just because YOU don't like an author or a writing style doesn't mean that anybody who does is beneath you.

Not gonna lie, this is one of those WTF did I just read books 🤭 It’s a short extreme horror novella with a splash of humour. To which I freely admit I did scoff and giggle at parts.

Please do not read this if you can’t handle extreme gore, m*rder of all ages, bl00d, and supernatural control 🤷🏻‍♀️ etc.

I beginning to think I have lost not only my marbles but any sense of sanity now…naw! I never had it in the first place 🤣🤣🤣

It wounds me to admit, but both I and so many formerly bibliophile friends are the 35 per cent defined by the “Reading State of the Nation” report as “adults who used to read but have now stopped”. And I put the blame squarely on technology.
