To the mountains I run, ever looking for myself between the pages of a book.

Did you notice how many gifts are *books* in Awakening?? Either our poor Warden-Commander was running out of gift ideas or was passively encouraging the formation of a Grey Warden book club.
Vigil's Keep Book Club! With Nat as honorary member.
Fun fact: Justice was apparently Most Prolific Reader of VKBC with a grand total of 3 books! (Well 2 books and an elvish scroll but it counts!)

It occurred to him, for the first time, that just because you never thought about someone didn’t mean they weren’t inside you.

I loved visiting Avid Reader and its partner shop in Brisbane! Since it was near the end of my trip, I was finally able to commit to the chunker of Carpentaria by Alexis Wright, and l also got a crocodile pin and a book about spiders!

The fact that some people get so gatekeepy about books and reading is astonishing. You're not a better person because you like this author over that author. Let people enjoy books and authors that you don't like.
And obviously I'm not talking about authors who are problematic or horrible people. They shouldn't be getting continuous support. But just because YOU don't like an author or a writing style doesn't mean that anybody who does is beneath you.

Not gonna lie, this is one of those WTF did I just read books 🤭 It’s a short extreme horror novella with a splash of humour. To which I freely admit I did scoff and giggle at parts.
Please do not read this if you can’t handle extreme gore, m*rder of all ages, bl00d, and supernatural control 🤷🏻‍♀️ etc.
I beginning to think I have lost not only my marbles but any sense of sanity now…naw! I never had it in the first place 🤣🤣🤣

Hopes, dreams, pain, and joy
the human experience, forever preserved
What lives will I experience?
Between the worn bindings
and glue-scented pages of

In the realm of shadows, where darkness held sway, A hero emerged, fierce and bold, To break the chains of Fate's gray play. He ventured through parallel worlds, Where history turned on a dime, Seeking the key to life unfurled, In an alternate time. With each step, he faced the dire, And conquered every twist of woe, For in his heart, a fire did inspire, To change the course of the flow. He bridged the gap between two realms, A gulf that once seemed so vast, And as he conquered time and its seals, The chains of fate at last were past. In this Gothic verse, I have crafted a tale, Of a hero's struggle through time, Where alternate history and worlds unveil, An insurmountable climb. So ends my brief poem, dark and dire, A testament to the power of will, Through which even shadows can retire, As the hero claims his thrilling quill.
