Something all flight attendants should consider regardless of what airline they are working for:
Groveling should never be a negotiating tactic.
Emotional appeals do not work at the negotiating table.
Ever.
Always remember this!
Thanks, Rock! Flight attendants everywhere adore you!

The strike comes after the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers announced that 94.6% of union members voted to reject a proposed contract from Boeing. The deal would've included a 25% pay raise over four years, much lower than the requested 40%.
This is expected to halt the production of aircraft in Washington state, where most of the union members are located.

Gotta love it when military aircraft manufacturers decide to make passenger aircraft in the laziest way possible, by taking a bomber design and just adding a wider fuselage, for example:
The Soviet Tupolev Tu-104
Comes from the Tu-16 medium bomber
The Tu-114
From the Tu-95
And the Tu-70 prototype
Comes from the soviet copy of the American Boeing B-29 bomber, which also had an official airliner derivative
The Boeing Stratocruiser.
And since we’re outside the iron curtain
The British Avro York
Is a heavily modified variant of the iconic Avro Lancaster heavy bomber.

Never forget the past. A Focke-Wulf Fw 190 crashed in a forest near Leningrad in 1943 and was found only in 1989, 45 years later. Never forget history.

the united states, Boeing, and the military industrial complex just murdered whistleblower John Barnett while he was testifying against the company for it's poor labour practices, sub-standard parts, and disregard for customer, passenger, and worker safety. they even had the gall to claim it was a suicide. Sure.
capitalism is a plague. the cure is lead.

So, do you know what happens when you let an aircraft design bureau known for making bombers, make an interceptor?
You get, from Convair, know for making the B-58 Hustler
the world’s first supersonic bomber
The F-102 Delta Dagger
And the F-106 Delta Dart
And from Tupolev, known from pretty much being THE bomber-maker of the Soviet Union, among them the Tu-22 “Blinder”
The Soviet Union’s first supersonic bomber, and the only supersonic bomber to be available for export customers, you get
The Tu-128, the world’s heaviest “fighter” aircraft.
Oh, and for the opposite, see what happens when you let Dassault, known for making France’s fighter jets since WW2
especially supersonic delta wing designs, you get
The Mirage IV, the world’s shortest-ranged nuclear bomber.
