simple skincare routine (+ product recommendations based of skin types)
hi angels! skincare has been a big passion of mine since i was around twelve and began to develop some hormonal skincare issues. these really made me insecure and i still struggle with my skin. but being consistent and developing my routine, working out my skin type, eating with my skin as a focus and trial and error has got me to a place where im much much happier with my skin - and id love to share some tips and products with you!! remember your skin is exposed to so much and such a delicate part of your body, treat it with the love and respect it deserves. ˚₊‧꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
firstly: figuring out your skin type
im not exaggerating when i say the basis of a good skincare routine is knowing your skin type. it makes it easier to buy products, work out what your skin needs and how to achieve the look you want.
dermatologists agree that there are four skin types:
oily (skin produces more oils and sebum).
dry (produces less oils and sebum).
normal (produces a normal amount of oils and sebum).
combination (areas of skin which are dry and areas that are sebum heavy/oily).
so…
how do you work out your skin type?
well there are two easy at home methods!
watch and wait (requires cleanser): wash your face with a gentle cleanser and pat dry. wait for half an hour or so and observe your skin. shiny all over = oily. tight and perhaps flaky = dry. shine in t zone = likely combination. hydrated and comfortable but not too oily = normal.
blotting sheet method (requires blotting sheets and cleanser): wash face with gentle cleanser, pat dry and waist for half an hour or so. press blotting sheets to chin, cheeks, forehead etc and examine the oil left on the sheets. lots of oil = oily. almost no oil/no oil = dry. oil mostly in t zone = combination. minimal all over face = normal.
˚₊‧꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
secondly: building a routine
now youve worked out what skin type you have it’s time to build a routine! i personally have combination skin that verges more on the dry side.
my am and pm skincare routines look like this…
am: cleanser, ice face, oil face and do gentle gua sha routine, moisturiser and spf. applying facial sanitising spray regularly throughout the day.
pm: double cleanse, ice face (only if feeling puffy/sore), moisturiser, 1 - 2 spot treatments and sanitise face.
am products:
cerave hydrating cleanser.
corsx moisturiser (great for dry and spot prone skin, little goes along way).
la roche posay spf 50+.
jojoba face oil.
vital baby face spray.
pm products:
la roche posay effclar duo.
avene hydrance aqua cream.
two over the counter spot treatments.
you may need to cleanse your face more/less, use less moisturiser etc. developing your skin care routine is through trial and error, just be observant of your skin and take notes on any effects or changes a product seems to have.
˚₊‧꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
thirdly: product recommendations
here’s a list of some product recommendations! some i have personally tried (they will be starred), others are popular ones based of your skin type loved by many.
cleansers
dry: cerave hydrating cleanser ⟡
oily: la roche posay effclar duo cleanser ⟡

˚₊‧꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
thank you for reading angels! feel free to give any skincare product recommendations or reviews. im planning on doing an in-depth personal skincare routine post soon. hopefully you enjoyed!!
love, m.

Okay I've been using La Roche-Posay's Toleriane Sensitive Fluide for a few years now, and it's really good but owned by l'oreal (which is on the boycott list) so I'm going to switch to Avene's Tolerance Control Soothing Skin Recovery Cream (I think it's relatively new, so I've never used it before, but their Extremely Gentle Cleanser is literally the only facial cleanser I've ever been able to use long term without either breaking out or peeling like crazy.)
The acne cream is from a local pharmaceutical company, so you can only get it in Singapore (in the off chance that anon is here, it's just acne clear cream by ICM pharma)
omg i’ve been using a La Roche face wash but am still looking for something to replace it once i run out (bc i bought it before the boycott and now obviously dont wanna repurchase it)
but anon here you go!

Pacifica Vegan Ceramide Extra Gentle Face Wash
Brand: Pacifica Beauty
Product Type: Cleanser
Price: $12 USD
Size: 5.0 fl oz
✔️Vegan ✔️Clean Ingredients ✔️Cruelty Free ✔️Sustainable Packaging
Star Ingredients:
Vegan Ceramides: Strengthens skin barrier, hydrates
Marshmallow Root Extract: Soothes and smooths skin
Calendula: Calms skin, addresses sensitivity and redness
Texture: Milky gel
Feel: Clean, but not stripped
Scent: 🌸
No added fragrance.
Results: This is a fantastic cleanser for people with sensitive skin. It is dermatologist tested, is allergen free, and has the seal of approval of the National Eczema Association. The actives in this product are specifically for targeting dry, red, agitated skin and soothing it. The ceramides strengthen the skin barrier while the marshmallow root and calendula calm agitated skin. It has a really slippery feel to it, but rinses away clean.
Price per ounce, this product can't be beat. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the bottle design. It's really hard to control the amount of cleanser that comes out and I usually wind up with way more than I need. Fortunately, this isn't the type of cleanser that's going to dry or strip your skin if you use too much. Still, I wish the opening was smaller or something, because a large bottle like this could last much longer than it does.
Comps: Low-cost dermatologist approved cleansers include: e.l.f. Cosmetics Pure Skin Face Cleanser ($9/6.09 fl oz), Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser ($11.99/8.0 fl oz), Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser ($11.99/8.0 fl oz), Cerave Hydrating Face Cleanser ($14.99/8.0 fl oz), La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser ($14.99/6.7 fl oz), Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Gel Cleanser with Hyaluronic Acid ($15.99/7.8 fl oz), and Untoxicated Clean Start Facial Cleanser ($17.95/7.0 fl oz). Vanicream, Cerave, and Cetaphil are brands that have been around for a long time, and you can usually find generics that are a few dollars less than the brand name. It's the same product though, if you're looking for even more of a bargain.
Pricier dermatologist approved cleansers are: Avene Tolerance Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion ($27/6.7 fl oz) and Tula Skincare Super Calm Gentle Sensitive Skin Cleansing Milk ($34/5.0 fl oz).

Sensitive Skin Essentials: Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser & Cleansing Bar
When it comes to skincare, finding gentle yet effective cleansers for sensitive skin is essential. Avene, a brand renowned for its sensitive skin-friendly products, offers two standout options for thorough and soothing cleansing: the Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser and the Avene Cleansing Bar. Both products deliver a gentle cleanse without compromising skin health, making them ideal for daily use. Let’s dive into why these products are the perfect choice for sensitive and delicate skin.
Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser: A Soft, Hydrating Cleanse
The Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser is specifically formulated for dry and sensitive skin types. This rich, creamy cleanser feels luxuriously soft and delivers a soothing experience from the moment it touches the skin. Formulated with Avene’s signature Thermal Spring Water, it helps calm irritation and reduce redness while removing impurities. Unlike many cleansers, the Gentle Milk Cleanser doesn’t strip the skin of its natural oils, leaving it hydrated and balanced after each wash. Its milk-like consistency is perfect for those with skin prone to dryness, as it maintains moisture while gently cleansing.
This cleanser is free of harsh ingredients, making it a safe option for people dealing with conditions like eczema or rosacea. Regular use helps fortify the skin's natural barrier, promoting a healthier, more resilient complexion over time.
Avene Cleansing Bar: A Gentle, Effective Bar for Daily Use
For those who prefer a bar format, the Avene Cleansing Bar offers a solid alternative to traditional liquid cleansers. Formulated without soap, this bar is ideal for anyone looking to avoid drying agents typically found in bar soaps. Its gentle, pH-balanced formula removes excess oils and impurities, leaving skin refreshed and soft.
Infused with Avene Thermal Spring Water, the Cleansing Bar provides the same soothing benefits as the Gentle Milk Cleanser. It’s perfect for sensitive skin, including facial and body areas that need a delicate touch. The bar format is convenient and long-lasting, making it a cost-effective choice for everyday use.
Conclusion
When it comes to gentle skincare, the Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser and Avene Cleansing Bar deliver both effectiveness and care. Together, these products provide a comprehensive, soothing cleanse that’s perfect for sensitive skin. Whether you prefer a creamy milk cleanser or a solid bar, both options will leave your skin feeling soft, hydrated, and calm. For those seeking to elevate their skincare routine, these Avene cleansers are highly recommended for consistent, gentle results. Skincare for Sensitive Skin: Tips and Products to Try
Taking care of your skin is an essential part of maintaining good health and wellbeing. However, for people with sensitive skin, finding the right dermatological care routine can be a challenging task. Sensitive skin is prone to irritation, redness, dryness, and inflammation, which makes it crucial to select gentle and non-irritating dermatological care products. In this article, we will discuss five different points of view on skin treatment for sensitive skin, including tips and products to try.
Understanding Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin is a term used to describe skin that is easily irritated by external factors such as skincare products, environmental factors, and even stress. People with sensitive skin often experience redness, itching, burning, and stinging sensations. It is crucial to understand that sensitive skin can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, allergies, hormonal changes, and environmental factors.
Skincare Tips for Sensitive Skin
If you have sensitive skin, it is essential to take extra care when selecting skin maintenance products. Here are some tips to help you build a gentle and effective skin maintenance routine:
Choose gentle products: Look for products that are specifically formulated for sensitive skin. Avoid products that contain harsh ingredients such as alcohol, fragrances, and preservatives, as they can irritate the skin.
Patch test new products: Before applying a new product to your face, perform a patch test on a small area of your skin to check for any allergic reactions.
Avoid hot water: Hot water can strip the skin of its natural oils and cause dryness and irritation. Use lukewarm water when washing your face.
Use a gentle cleanser: Look for a gentle cleanser that is free from harsh ingredients. Avoid scrubbing your skin too hard as it can cause irritation.
Moisturize: Moisturizing is essential for all skin types, but especially for sensitive skin. Look for a moisturizer that is fragrance-free and gentle on the skin.
Skincare Products to Try for Sensitive Skin
When it comes to skin therapy products for sensitive skin, it can be challenging to know where to start. Here are some product recommendations to help you build a gentle and effective skin therapy routine:
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser: This gentle cleanser is perfect for sensitive skin as it is free from fragrances, soap, and irritating ingredients.
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Moisturizer: This moisturizer is specifically designed for sensitive skin and contains ceramides to help restore the skin's natural barrier.
Avene Thermal Spring Water: This soothing mist can help calm and hydrate sensitive skin. It is also great for refreshing the skin throughout the day.
Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser: This foaming cleanser is gentle and non-irritating, making it perfect for sensitive skin. It contains oat extracts to help soothe the skin.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel: This lightweight moisturizer is perfect for sensitive skin as it is non-comedogenic and free from fragrance and oil.
Natural Skincare Remedies for Sensitive Skin
If you prefer natural remedies, there are several options that can help soothe and hydrate sensitive skin. Here are some natural cutaneous treatment remedies to try:
Aloe vera: Aloe vera is a natural anti-inflammatory that can help soothe and hydrate sensitive skin. Apply fresh aloe vera gel to the skin to help reduce redness and irritation.
Chamomile tea: Chamomile tea is a natural anti-inflammatory that can help soothe irritated skin. Brew a cup of chamomile tea and use a cotton pad to apply it to the skin or use it as a gentle facial mist.
Coconut oil: Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer that can help hydrate and soothe sensitive skin. Apply a small amount of coconut oil to the skin and massage gently.
Honey: Honey is a natural humectant that can help hydrate the skin. Apply a thin layer of honey to the skin and leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off.
Oatmeal: Oatmeal is a natural anti-inflammatory that can help soothe and hydrate sensitive skin. Mix a small amount of oatmeal with water to create a paste and apply it to the skin for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off.
Lifestyle Changes for Sensitive Skin
In addition to selecting gentle skincare products and natural remedies, there are also lifestyle changes you can make to help manage sensitive skin. Here are some tips to try:
Reduce stress: Stress can trigger skin sensitivity and lead to flare-ups. Try practicing stress-reducing activities such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises.
Avoid extreme temperatures: Extreme temperatures can cause skin sensitivity and irritation. Try to avoid exposure to hot and cold temperatures and use a humidifier to add moisture to the air.
Wear protective clothing: Wearing protective clothing such as hats and long-sleeved shirts can help protect sensitive skin from environmental factors such as the sun and wind.
Eat a healthy diet: A healthy diet rich in vitamins and antioxidants can help promote healthy skin. Incorporate foods such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your diet.
Get enough sleep: Lack of sleep can lead to skin sensitivity and inflammation. Aim to get 7-9 hours of sleep each night to help support healthy skin.
Conclusion
In conclusion, taking care of sensitive skin requires a gentle and individualized approach. By understanding the causes of sensitive skin, selecting gentle complexion care products, incorporating natural remedies, and making lifestyle changes, you can help manage and improve the health of your sensitive skin. With patience and consistency, you can achieve healthy and radiant skin.

🌿✨Daily Beauty Routine for oily skin✨🌿
I´m just 3 days into my isotretinoin treatment and even though my dermalogist told me I wouldn´t have to worry about products soon I´m still sticking to find the perfect and toned down cleaning and moisturizing routine. I want to keep my Dream Girl Journey switching a few of my products and getting an organized make-up drawer.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEutEsZYLAc
I chose a cardboard organizer as I´m trying to be a little more ecological 🌱 🌿 and it is great to customize for specific item´s measures. It was super easy and I´m very glad my mom suggested buying matboard for a nicer finish cause paint in cardboard can look pretty tacky.
Right now, I´m using the Avène Cleanance Gel with my MiniSo electric facial cleaner/massager. It´s clearly the Fore Luna dupe but it works pretty well and the price is so worth it. It feels super nice to wake up my face with it 💞💞💞 The cleanance gel has it great soft avene smell and overall feel. My favourite, wouldn´t change it anytime soon.
For my first serum ever I decided to try The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. I´ll later update for my opinions on it.
For moisturizer I´m using Neutrogena Hydro Boost, though Neutrogena was bordeline cancelled ? I used their salicylic acid face washes and they were AWFUL. Would never ever recommend, it burned my face. I saw this gel all over youtube but it wasn´t until my fave cosmetologist recommended it I decided to try it. It´s pretty good and my mom is so in love with it but I´ve decided to pair it with the Avène Cleanance Expert. I remember it fondly from my first year at uni, when my first boyfriend there told me I had the most kissable cheek because it was just super soft and smelled amazing 😂
Finally, the last time I was on isotretinoin I got very weird dry patches around my nose that would burn with moisturizer. The only thing that could keep my face feeling nice was the Maybelline Baby Skin primer. So I would definitely recommend it as a possibility for your weird skin days. It makes me feel all glowy and soft. I won´t leave it during my treatment but I´m still debating if I´ll have to drop my make up base and powder. We´ll see how my acne progresses.

Review from the Customers
HeTung- When I first used it, it just felt like water, but it's very powerful. It's something I use after I wash my face and before I put on makeup. It can be used both during the day and at night. Since it contains so little moisture, I don't feel the need to apply face cream after using it at night. In the morning, I have a good glow on my face.
Jessie- As a toner or for setting makeup on a dry cleansed face, this product is excellent, Very pleased.
Crimsonand Blue- I have purchased, this the best mist that I have used yet. This a product with a very reasonable price too. Feeling Happy!

Final Verdict
You can avail of good reviews and ratings on our product while searching for similar products. Though we try to maintain the quality of our products, we recommend having a test before the proper usage. Because our skin, especially facial skin, is very delicate. How to Age Gracefully, According to 8 Women Over 40
How to Age Gracefully, According to 8 Women Over 40 PHOTO: @FABNFITBYCARLA, @PLATINUMPUNK, @SILVERGIRLMX I don't know who needs to hear this, but the youth obsession is played out. As a beauty editor with access to the best everything, I'm certainly tempted to reach for the serums and skin treatments that promise to keep me looking younger, longer. But when I really stop to think about it, the constant messaging that younger is better is damaging, problematic, and simply not true. I call bullshit! Of course, youth has its perks (at 31, I'm now officially a member of the "My Knees Crack When I Sit Down" club), but with every passing year, I become acutely more aware that with age comes wisdom, grace, and a special brand of beauty that you can only earn by living long enough to show a few fine lines and wrinkles. I'm tired of people being shocked when women over 40 are considered among the most gorgeous. Some of the most beautiful humans I know are in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond. (My 62-year-old mom and 90-year-old grandma being two of them!) In fact, my Instagram feed is stacked with ladies in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who make achieving those precious years look so insanely good. I decided to slide into some of those ladies' DMs to get their raw, unfiltered thoughts on aging, how they take care of themselves, and what they do to stay feeling their best. And, hey, if glowy skin and shiny hair happen to come along with it, then so be it! Age is just a number, and these eight ladies are proof of that. Ahead, check out the tips and products helping these gorgeous women age gracefully. Norma Alcala, 69, Retired, Mother, Grandmother, and Dog Mom PHOTO: @PLATINUMPUNK Words of wisdom: "I don't believe that you have to do/not do, wear/not wear certain things at certain ages. I think each of us has the right to design our lives according to our individual preferences, including our body and spirit without trying to adhere to parameters established by culture throughout time. If you find a benefit for yourself (physical or mental) you should feel free to try, experiment, invent, and modify. Have fun!" Norma's Go-To Products SHOP Favorite Perricone MD Finishing & Firming Moisturizer ($69) "I love skincare products because they protect your skin." SHOP Favorite Sabon NYC Lavender Apple Shower Oil ($32) "I try many different ones, but this is one of my all-time favorites." SHOP Favorite Odacité All-Embracing Serum Watermelon + Hibiscus Crystal Infused Hydration ($98) "I also try to work out and eat healthy. I drink green juice every day! Most importantly, I try to avoid stress as much as possible." Follow Norma on Instagram. Eugenia Russell Hargrove, 65, Senior Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist PHOTO: @THEEAGEOFGRACE Words of wisdom: "My mother and grandmother taught me at an early age, the importance of a regular and consistent skincare regiment. However, I strayed away from self-care as a mom focusing on my children. So I would tell my younger self not to neglect my skincare routine and to go to the dermatologist earlier, in my 30s, instead of 40s once I had adult acne." Eugenia's Go-To Products SHOP Favorite Pholk Beauty Daily Detox Face Wash ($20) "Its natural ingredients are cleasining without irritating my oily, blemished prone skin." SHOP Favorite Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen ($35) "Rihanna did a very good thing with this product. It's a light, must-have moisturizer that sinks in and won't pill if I apply makeup after. " SHOP Favorite Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'R Mattifying Primer ($32) "Not that I'm wearing makeup regularly anymore (maskne is real!), but when I did, I often reached for this primer because it's light but packs a punch to fight to shine all-day." SHOP Favorite Black Girl Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($16) "During quarantine, I've been enjoying my patio a bit more, which calls for broad-spectrum SPF. This one is fragrance-free and doesn't make my face ashy. A win-win." Follow Eugenia on Instagram. Lynn Shabinsky, 58, Yoga Teacher, Lifestyle Model PHOTO: @WHITEHAIRWISDOM Words of wisdom: "Every body is different in size, shape, and color. When you find beauty from within, the confidence will radiate out of you. Let go of the need to compare and let your true light shine." Lynn's Go-To Products SHOP Favorite Be Well Clean Skincare Graceful Aging Face Kit ($180) "My yoga practice helps me find the balance of strength and ease that I carry throughout my day and my skincare rituals allow me to nourish my skin, creating a radiant glow. Be Well Skincare's Graceful Aging Kit is my favorite nighttime ritual. I love the Avocado Sea Moss Exfoliant and finish with a gentle facial massage with the lavender face cream. Not only do these products leave my skin feeling smooth, but the lavender massage creates the perfect ritual for winding down at the end of the day." SHOP Favorite Tata Harper Illuminating Eye Cream ($115) "This is my favorite eye cream. It works on fine lines and wrinkles while creating an illuminating effect, which distracts from any dark circles." SHOP Favorite Ilia Multi-Stick Cheek & Lip ($34) "I have fallen in love with Ilia Beauty. Their clean makeup makes me feel absolutely radiant on all levels, giving me the confidence to feel truly comfortable in my own skin." Follow Lynn on Instagram. Carla Kemp, 57, Model, Personal Assistant PHOTO: @FABNFITBYCARLA Words of wisdom: "I don't subscribe to the notion that grey hair makes you look older. If your hair is healthy, styled and you exude confidence, people will admire your hair. Having grey hair is on an upswing. Sometimes dying grey hair can make you look older thus defeating the purpose. I think it's beautiful and super sexy!" Carla's Go-To Products SHOP Favorite Visit the Maison 276 Store Maison 276 No. 8 Botaniques Dry Oil ($40) "I absolutely love Maison 286 No. 8 Botaniques Rosehip Seed Oil. I use it on my face, body, and hair! The fatty acids and antioxidants in rosehip help reduce fine lines and regenerate my skin. The oils are easily absorbed, leaving my skin with a velvety smooth finish and gorgeous glow." SHOP Favorite SWL Collection Sweetheart Lip Gloss Collection ($47) "Most days, I like a soft and natural look on my lips. These give my lips a glossy luster with just enough color. Three come in this collection and I adore each one!" SHOP Favorite D'Lashes Luxury Lashes Lash Essentials Kit ($25) "Sometimes, mascara just isn't enough, and I'm not a big fan of crazy-long lash extensions. The D'Lashes lash kit has been perfect! It has everything I need to enhance my natural eyes. It comes with three different strip lashes, tweezers, and an adhesive eyeliner pen." Follow Carla on Instagram. Caroline Labouchere, 56, Model PHOTO: @CAROLINELABOUCHERE Words of wisdom: "Visit a good consultant dermatologist to get a simple, effective lifelong skincare routine. Don't waste money on products that aren't going to work long term and don't put your face in the sun! Learn to listen to your body so that you know when something is not right." Caroline's Go-To Products SHOP Favorite Avéne Eau Thermale Avene Cold Cream ($20) "This is my daily moisturizer, and although the texture took some getting used to, it's better than the alternative, Vaseline, for me. It can be used on top of your retinoid at night time, too." SHOP Favorite Blinq I-Lash Lash and Brow Serum ($40) "I have used this for a long time now and cannot imagine not using it. I get many compliments on my brows and lashes. I love them." SHOP Favorite Desavery Dream Oil Cleanser ($50) "This has the perfect relaxing, clean smell for the end of the day." Follow Caroline on Instagram. Sandrine Picard, 53, Teacher PHOTO: @GREY_SO_WHAT Words of wisdom: "Do what you want because whatever you do, people will criticize anyway. So keep doing what you like doing, wear what you like wearing, and show people how wrong they are!" Sandrine's Go-To Products SHOP Favorite Filorga Scrub & Mask ($59) "I think it is important to keep a few hours to yourself during the weekend just to take care of your skin, face, and body. It's so relaxing to love yourself for a while. First I'll do the Filorga scrub which is a foam exfoliator. I love the texture, the smell, and my skin is just, like, renewed when I use it once a week on Sundays." SHOP Favorite Shiseido Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming Express Eye Mask ( $80) $68 "These are the best eye patches to look fully awake before photoshoots." SHOP Favorite White Hot Brilliant Shampoo ($21) "The British hair company White Hot keeps my grey hair bright and luminous. I use this once or twice a week." Follow Sandrine on Instagram. Carla Martin, 48, Model, Silver Hair Ambassador PHOTO: @SILVERGIRLMX Words of wisdom: "Enjoy everything, be yourself, embrace your uniqueness and stand out. Care less of what others think about the things that make you happy. Also, use a moisturizer every day and protect your skin from the sun. A tan looks great for a couple of days, but it can damage your skin in the long run." Carla's Go-To Products SHOP Favorite Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser ($18) "I love a face massage. I do it by myself twice a week, sometimes with my hands and others with face cupping or face rollers. I use rose-hip oil, and it only takes five to 10 minutes. I've noticed that it makes my skin glow afterward. But first, I clean my face with Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. It has a great smell and it leaves my face feeling clean without drying it." SHOP Favorite Pai Organic Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil ($44) "Rose-hip oil is light and I love the smell." SHOP Favorite Glossier Priming Moisturizer Balance ($25) "The Glossier Priming moisturizer has a soft smell, it feels lavish, and makes my skin feel soft and moisturized." Follow Carla on Instagram. Trina Albus, 45, Founder of Magenta Agency, 40+ Skincare Creator PHOTO: @TRINAALBUS Words of wisdom: "I don't believe in preventative Botox. My YouTube channel features alternatives to Botox and filler, including skincare and beauty devices like microcurrent and radiofrequency. I don't hate on injectables—I just don't think they should be the first thing you try. So many younger people are getting injectables, and I want everyone to know there are other options! I don't agree that when you reach a certain age or see your first fine line that you need to get injectables. There are so many other things you can do to rejuvenate your skin." Trina's Go-To Products SHOP Favorite CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask ($319) "I like the Current Body LED mask because it's a flexible silicone wrap around mask that is very comfortable and easy to use. In just 10 minutes per session, you get the benefits of anti-aging red and near infra-red light therapy that improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin tone, texture, and firms the skin. I've had my eye on other LED masks that offer more light settings, including the Best Life Company mask and the Arduro mask. In addition to red, these masks offer up to 6 other colors that fight specific aging concerns. There are also LED neck masks that I haven't tried yet!" SHOP Favorite Newa Skin Tightening System ($249) "I've just started using the Newa RF device. Radiofrequency uses heat to penetrate into the deeper layers of your skin to boost collagen, tighten your face and neck, and reduce wrinkles." SHOP Favorite 7e Wellness Myolift Mini Microcurrent Machine ($269) "While there are many wonderful microcurrent devices available, my absolute favorite is the Myolift Mini. This device includes two modes: Erase to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, and educate to lift and firm muscles in your face and neck. The Myolift Mini offers a more targeted treatment, and you can reduce to a frequency of one to two times per month after the initial 60-day period. This means I have more free time to test other devices." SHOP Favorite Nira Skincare Laser ($399) "I just received the Nira laser, which I will use for just two minutes per day to tighten my eye area (hopefully lifting up my hooded eyes) and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. I can't wait to get started with this as I've seen impressive results on social media so far. I've read that you can use the device for other areas, like your smile lines, so I'll be looking into all the available options. I am fortunate to have working relationships with many device manufacturers so I can always reach out to ask questions that help me and my community get the most out of our devices." beauty tips: beauty tips : beauty tips : beauty tips: beauty tips: beauty tips : Read the full article

Note
i'm about to go on a skincare shopping spree and i remember you posting sth about skincare so i wanted to ask; what's your skin type and what are your favorite products atm?
ayy i’m not sure i will be of any help because i don’t really know that much but here are some products i’ve used and liked (mixed skin but easily dehydrated)
Yes to Grapefruit Brightening Facial Wipes (to this day i’m not sure if the effect of these was something i imagined or not, but i loved them anyway)
Bioderma Sensibio H2O (for removing make-up, although for heavy make-up it’s sometimes better to use something like Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water)
Bioderma - Sébium - Skin Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel - for Combination to Oily Skin (for washing my face)
CeraVe Moisturizing Cream or Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream for Dry, Sensitive Skin
Unfortunately, I do not have a good sunscreen product for the face because although I should use some, I usually don’t, but I heard from friends that Clinique has some good ones. But, to be honest with you, anything that has 30+ SPF is good, the only deal breaker is how it reacts with your make-up. But, as my friends like to always remind me, SPF is crucial for healthy, wrinkle-free skin! For the rest of my skin (where I must use sunscreen if I don’t want to scratch like crazy), I use 50+ spf from Avene or Bioderma.
as you can see i don’t use a lot but my advice is to not use products that have a lot of perfume or look more like sweets rather than skincare products, but rather those that are more popular in drugstores
some good brands are: cetaphil, cerave, bioderma, avene, la roche posay, uriage, vichy, the ordinary
