As the days grow shorter and the weather gets colder, we could all use a little more warmth and holiday cheer, right? Wicked’s Rest has you covered this winter. While season 2 is slated to start in late Jan/early Feb, this event will last longer and run until March, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy!
Wicked’s Rest Frost Bites Festival is a town-wide event held on the Common every few years, where dozens of local vendors set up booths and you can warm up with a cup of hot cocoa as you browse and participate in numerous winter-themed activities. There are normal shops there. Really! Scarves, mittens, treats, candles, apple cider, ornaments – you can find whatever your snowy little heart desires. And if you ask the right people in the right way, they may have some additional goods they’d be happy to sell you, straight from Amity Road. But who wants to know about the stuff for normies, anyway? Here’s where some of the real fun is at:
The ugly sweater contest gets very competitive. With judging taking place on New Year’s Eve, people are already pulling out their ugliest, itchiest sweaters and trying to get in with the judges ahead of time. Anyone can enter! Post your sweater – photo, artwork, etc – on your character’s blog and send us the link in a ModMail by Friday 12/29. There might be some equally ugly prizes. Just watch out for Ms. Lawrence’s sweater. Last time there was a contest, it came to life and devoured everyone else’s sweaters. It won by default. UPDATE: See judging here!
‘Tis the season for mistletoe. How many first kisses have that little plant to thank? The totally completely human people who run the festival got a little confused, though, and ordered missiletoe made of actual toes. It shoots them like missiles. Some of it is probably normal.
Some people are finding that they leave the festival with a newfound impulse for goodwill. Things just slide right off their back – they’re too cheery to be angry. And they just can’t do enough good deeds. It’s the season of giving and they are READY. Some spellcaster probably thought they were doing the town a favor here. It seems to be wearing off after a bit, but maybe some of you Grinches have a little more of a giving spirit after it runs its course.
Winter-themed fortunes sound like fun and games, especially when they’re from one of those old-timey mechanical fortune telling machines. This one activates by itself when someone comes near it, no coins required (though, weirdly, the sticker on it says it costs “1 hour of your life”. It doesn’t take an hour to hear the fortune. So what is that about?) Some of those bad fortunes seem to be coming true. There might not be any snow on the ground but you’ll fall in that snowbank nonetheless.
Some of the music played at the festival seems to be having a strange effect on people, making them break into song. Conversations turn to harmonies and you might be so desperate to do some caroling that you start a real-life musical. It’s not unusual to catch people humming along to music but it seems to be happening more than usual at the festival.
A lot of people want to warm up when they come in, so there’s a hot chocolate stand with free cocoa available. It’s unmanned, but the sign that says “take one!” is encouraging enough. Some get the pleasant little drink they were expecting… others end up with chocolate powers. Or curses. Like turning everything you touch into chocolate. The little marshmallows are cute though. And if enough things become chocolate, it could solve the reindeer problem! (What reindeer problem? Well…)
If you’ve always wanted to see some reindeer, now is your chance! About 200 of the fiends have trampled into town (or maybe appeared out of nowhere?) and they’re more annoying than the goo. They walk right up to people and expect you to feed them. If you don’t, they will break your shit. They will commit arson. They will teleport into your home and smash everything. Give carrots.
These probably aren’t normal reindeer? The regular ones don’t teleport around, right? These ones blink in and out of existence on a whim.
They especially like gathering on Prospect Street in Deersprings, where all of the houses turned into gingerbread. No surprise there, except for maybe the gingerbread thing. The reindeer really are ecstatic about it.
If you feed the reindeer they’ll leave you alone for a while without destroying all of your things, but they also know you’re a pushover now, and will be back. With more friends.
If you’re curious about whether or not they can fly (why? why are you curious about that?) you could try getting a harness on one of them… it’s not recommended, though. You might end up being teleported somewhere weird.
In a town full of cryptid enthusiasts, you better believe there’s an entire sport dedicated to finding Krampus each holiday season. Club Cryptid is on it. And… there seems to be something to the whole thing. Whether it’s actually Krampus or a demon having some fun with humanity, something is coming for the naughty and sparing the nice. There have been several sightings in town of a massive creature, with horns, hooves, and a long, blood red cloak. One Club Cryptid nerd said the creature even had a long list in his claws, presumably intending to strike all those names off soon.
Have you been downright dreadful enough to make the cut? Those that have been marked for a visit may have already seen the signs, and if not, they’re about to: a lump of coal is given to the naughty. Expect punishment to follow.
Krampus (or “Krampus”) isn’t like most other monsters or creatures. He can’t just be destroyed, and there really might be something to that demon theory. But while Krampus may not be able to be killed, it might be possible to pacify him. How nice can you be?
While Krampus is often tied to the night of December 5th in folklore, this Krampus seems happy to stalk around all winter. Why not?
So far, the most common place to spot Krampus (other than inside your own home, hunched over your fireplace) seems to be a Christmas tree farm out in Gatlin Fields. The owner of the farm insists it’s not actually a Christmas tree farm; it’s just a forest. Now it’s not much of anything after the harvest – and the “owner” is actually a leshy now presiding over a lot of treepies. If you want to find Krampus in his home, you’re going to have to brave a pissed off fae and a bunch of evil trees.
Another option for finding the devil of December would be to do something bad enough to get yourself kidnapped… but there’s no telling where you’d end up or what state you’d be in… he seems to like to switch it up.
Thanks to a mysterious influence, snowmen, snowwomen, snowdogs, snowballs, and giant ice worms that people are building are being brought to life. That sounds like a child’s dream come true, but these snowmen aren’t anything like Frosty. Their teeth are icicles, their branch-arms are talons, and they want to freeze you in your tracks and gnaw on the cold meat of your body. Those who are privy to the supernatural might need to figure out what’s happening and how it can be stopped, before all that’s left of Wicked’s Rest’s population is red-stained snow.
Kill it with fire. They are still made of snow… but who carries around a blowtorch these days? Some people have tried to punch them, but it seems like they can easily reassemble themselves. And they get extra angry if the carrot falls off their face.
The reindeer have been found chasing after some of the snowmen. They want the carrots. Some people have taken to making bets on which one will win when a fight breaks out. They’re calling it the Reindeer Games.
Those who get too close to the animated snowmen might get a literal chill in your bones. No matter how warm your skin is and no matter how many blankets you burrow under, there’s no getting that cold out of you. If you can destroy the snow creature that did it to you, though…
While most of the snow creatures are more typical forms of snowy artistic expression, some are… not. A snow werewolf has been biting snowmen and making more snow werewolves. A giant worm made of ice is sliding around the woods (followed by a goggie who is in love with it). And perhaps worst of all, someone made a snow Shrek.
The snow creatures have the intelligence and instincts of whatever they’re based on. Sentience, too. If they have mouths that were constructed, they might even speak or growl. Are you really going to commit murder on things with human intelligence just because they want to turn you into a popsicle?

Gift ideas for your sub? Or your little?
or even your girlfriend?
I think the most important thing about gifts is that they are personal. So maybe first think about what hobbies your girlfriend/sub/little one has, what she likes, what she talks about a lot, what makes her feel good, what she's obsessed with.
But here are some ideas that I've gotten/would like to get, or that I think some might enjoy!
Sub:
Collar
Hand and ankle cuffs
Toys for your shared kinks
Vanilla toys (remote vibrator, dildo, massage wand)
Ropes
A stay in a bdsm apartment
sexy underwear
Little: (Little is more difficult for me to assess because I don't know if it is NSFW or SFW)
Washi Tape
stickers
coloring books
Pacifiers (if she likes them)
Cute clothes (if you know her size and she likes them)
Stuffed animals
Crockery sets for children
Cuddly socks
Nintendo Switch/ computer games etc.
In general:
Flowers (sounds unimaginative but I'm always sooo happy about them)
Food and sweets or chocolates or drinking chocolate or something like that
Books! I love books. Even audio books or something like that.
A PLAYLIST I PUT TOGETHER MYSELF!
A story you have written yourself
Concert tickets
A fan (I was so happy about this and it was so hot and it was my salvation)
Photo album or other homemade crafts (I always go on Pinterest for these)
Dates
A beauty day
A night in a wellness hotel if you have more money available
Decoration for her room
Equipment for her hobbies (e.g. if she knits then knitting yarn, if she plays table tennis and you know which balls she uses for it balls or jerseys, if she likes to make bracelets beads, if she paints colors or canvases or brushes, if she listens to music headphones, if she makes music herself sheet music…)
Clothes
Jewelry (if you can afford it, it's something very nice that she can wear while thinking of you)
Vouchers for things she likes to do e.g. for the pierce or tattoo artist, water park, trampoline park, restaurants…
Advent calendar
Candles, tea lights
Tea, teapot, tea set
Massage balls
Cosmetics, creams etc. but many girls also like to choose them themselves
if she has pets, then she will certainly be happy about stuff for her pets
cushions
anything that makes you think of her

Ooh, how exciting!! Well, in that case, I’ll share the pros and cons of my own experience with Redbubble, and maybe will help you make an informed decision.
The Pros:
It's easy. It's not like Etsy, where you have to physically make the thing you're selling; you just upload your art, and they do the hard work of printing it on the stuff and shipping it out.
There are a LOT of products. That was the main selling point for me, and I was actually surprised by how many MORE products there are available that people just aren't advertising! You can get your art on a mug, a water bottle, a throw pillow, a shower curtain, a tote bag, a doggy mat...of course most people just buy stickers, in my experience—understandably so, since that's the most inexpensive thing—but who knows? Somebody just might want a mug with Frodo's face on it. And I wanted that to be an option for them.
You can set your own profit margin. You wanna make 10% of the sales? 20%? 50%? That's in your power to decide. I set mine really low, because I wanted things to be at prices that I'd want to buy them, but if you're hoping to make more money off your art than two bucks a year you can set it higher.
The products are good. They're nothing extraordinary, but they are what it says on the tin. The stickers stick, the pins pin, and the posters look pretty dang sweet. I use bright colors in my art, and those bright colors are still there when the products arrive. So I think that means the printing is pretty dang good.
The Cons:
The interface to design how you want your art to appear on each product, while adequate, isn't terribly detailed, and that can be frustrating if you're a perfectionist like me. Some designs have different sizes—like the phone cases and mugs—and you're not always able to chose how your art looks on the different sizes.
If you, like me, want to sell fandom art, you have to be careful with your titles and not use specific keywords that the bots can recognize as a copyrighted thing, or else they'll quietly wipe your art off the site without even telling you why. For instance, I can use the word "hobbit" in my art, as candles on a cake, but the title can't be "Happy Hobbit Day" or the design will get taken down.
There's something in the terms and conditions that says the art you upload to the website kinda sorta not really belongs to them and they can use it for advertising and stuff. I figure it's worth the risk, since it's astronomically unlikely that a small artist's stuff will be used for anything without their permission, but I would understand if the potential squicks you out.
Not sure if this counts as a con, but it is a warning: I don't have enough experience with the site to know how to garner and grow an audience there. If you, like me, have a following elsewhere that wants to buy your art, you should be just fine; but if you want to get big on Redbubble, you'll probably have to make heavy use of the tag system so that your art shows up in search results.
Truth be told: I'm not an expert! I'm pretty much as hands-off on this thing as one could possibly be. My Redbubble store is like that little potted cactus that you bought and placed on your windowsill and promptly forgot about, and you only water it every two months when a bolt out of the blue (or, in my case, a random email) reminds you that it exists. If you want to make a lot of money on Redbubble, I am not the person to ask; but if you want to print your art on a bunch of random crap and sell it online—and you want to do it in a way that's easy to set up and kinda runs on its own without you—in my experience, this is a good option.
I hope this helps, @butterflies-and-bumble-bees! Good luck with your art and your resolution!
what made you choose redbubble as a platform to sell your art, as opposed to other similar sites?
I dunno. Just seemed convenient, and I wasn’t aware of any other options. But if you’ve got some good alternatives to Redbubble—with the same variety of products and ease of getting things printed—I’d be happy to hear about them!
#reblog#lady glasses speaks#for store (and seven years ago)#redbubble is a dumpster fire but it's a USEFUL dumpster fire#not much unlike tumblr tbh

You may have seen my post about my GoFundMe. Basically: I have to file bankruptcy and I don’t have the money for the legal fees. I’m doing everything I can from selling my stuff on eBay to asking strangers on the internet to give me money. Every dollar helps.
Well, I’ve now stumbled into trying to raise money by making stuff. I am not a professional. Far from it. In fact, I’m barely self-taught and constantly have to google how to do the things that I want to do. But I’m trying my best. I’ve chosen a name, made a little logo and have made a few designs for stickers. I have a list of items to create but as I also still work full time, it’ll take a bit for me to get to everything.
Anyway, I figured I’d share some of the designs I have so far. Im hoping to have these listed for sale on Etsy next weekend. The Holy designs will be available in two sizes: big enough for a prayer candle and then smaller to put on whatever.

btw I use a website called wishlist.com to do this which I love because it has images, links, and prices for all the items readily available. (although it infuriates me that after 50 items they don't allow you to organize the bottom items anymore). I'm going to show you a randomly picked item from each list (with a number of items on that list) to show you how ridiculous it's gotten (affectionate).
Chunky crochet opossum plushie (Home Goods/Decor, 14th item out of 87).
Skull wheelchair joystick (Disability and Neurodivergence, 9th item out of 17).
Chambered nautilus patch (Battle Jacket, 23rd out of 101).
3D printed nut and bolt fidget (Stim Tools, 44th out of 59).
Just a reminder to myself that the piercing I want is called an industrial and how much it costs (Piercing, 1st out of 4).
Nerve plant "super red" (Plants, 13th out of 16).
Possum on a roomba shirt (Clothing, 29th out of 47).
Lavender syrup holographic nail polish (Cosmetics/Bath Products/Etc, 37th of 48).
Strawberry cat hat (Cat Stuff, 2nd out of 8).
Get better soon patch (Patches for Pants, 2nd out of 3).
Mycelium sticker (Stationary, 3rd out of 14).
Real fern necklace (Jewelry, 4th out of 53).
Medium gift basket (Food and Drink, 14th out of 22).
Red clover canoe candle/incense burner (Witch Stuff, 1st out of 15).
I have this problem where I impulse buy whenever I get money and then cry and stress and beat myself up over it so instead of trying to fight the impulse I started compiling a wishlist of things I actually want so if I do impulse buy, it's not really an impulse because I've thought about it a lot. It also turns out that one of my autistic things is that I love arbitrary lists of things so it's now become a legitimate hobby to collect, organize, and prune my wishlist.

Mystic Messenger - Buying MC A Gift
– Zen –
For years, Zen dreamed of buying his love a classic, dainty necklace, romantically delivered in a box all wrapped up in a silk bow. And now he has you! A chance to fulfill this boyfriend dream of his!
He tends to kind of, enforce an image of cuteness on you, even if it’s not your aesthetic. He just likes his love to be innocent and girly. It’s okay if you’re not, he loves you just as much. But when he buys you things, it almost always swings in that direction ‘cause he’s a little unconsciously stubborn like that.
So he checks his savings and decides that, yep, he’s got enough to splurge a bit, and buys a gold heart necklace. It wasn’t luxurious, nor designer, it was just this teeny 24k gold pendent on a gold-colored chain. The best he could afford at the moment. He asks the store to gift wrap it with the most ‘romantic ribbon’ they have available.
The two of you go on one of your many lunch dates, where Zen has to tuck his hair underneath a hat to make sure the both of you aren’t hassled, and you eat sandwiches with coffee in a cute little shop.
He slides the box over to you, and there’s this huge smile on his face when you open it to fawn over your gift.
“It’s only a small thing, but I hope you like it. One day, I’ll be rich enough to afford what you deserve, jagiya.”
He reaches over and pulls your hair aside to put it around your neck. You touch it with your fingers. It’s all just like his old fantasies. Zen’s romantic dream #35329 fulfilled!
Romantic dream #35330 was when you eventually mentioned to someone in passing, “Oh this necklace? My boyfriend bought it for me.” He just about melted.
– Yoosung –
For many years, Yoosung didn’t have much money to his name. But he still wanted to buy you gifts because he couldn’t stop thinking about you? Every day he’d daydream about the two of you, about what kind of stuff you’d like to do?? He’d pass by windows of shops and think, “Would MC like this?”
Once he decided to start giving you gifts, he’d kind of freak out a bit because he was worried he’d give you something stupid. He googled for ideas, and talked to Zen, but couldn’t decide what sort of trinkets to shower you with.
He couldn’t afford good chocolates, and he didn’t know how to buy clothing for another person without going up to you and being like, “Oh, by the way, MC ... what’s your shirt size? Asking for a friend - wait no that’s not what I meant -”
One day, he walks into a bookstore to shop for more mechanical pencils, and by coincidence found large selections of gift items. There’s scented candles! Creative desk toys! Gag gifts of flavored bubble gum and imported mints!
He ends up choosing what he thought was the cutest. You’d like cute things, right? Cute stuff is universally cheery, so he’d thought you’d enjoy the character-designed set of highlighter markers.
Turns out that yes, you did enjoy them, and he puffs up with pride all day because yay!! He did a boyfriend thing!
His later gifts were of similar caliber, like sticker sheets or pretty notepads. And later, he finally branches out of the bookstore and looks as jewelry, chocolate boxes, and flower bouquets. Regardless of what he chose, you always loved them.
– Jaehee –
Most of her ‘gifts’ tend to be of the practical bend. Like stuff for the house both of you end up using, or a set of nice socks because she remembered you mentioning that you needed to replenish your stock.
Not the most romantic gifts, but arguably more appreciated because of how useful they were. Jaehee’s your Functional Adult™ girlfriend and it brings you plenty of joy.
But sometimes she’s compelled to be more whimsical. Her job at C&R didn’t leave her with nothing, and the cafe’s been going so well her wallet’s been more stacked than ever before. So it didn’t take much for her to walk into that gourmet chocolate boutique and purchase a sample box of their best truffles.
Managing your own small business means evenings are usually free. You and Jaehee enjoy a homemade meal, and settle down to drink some beer and watch dramas. Before you can relax completely, she goes, “Oh, I remembered something,” goes to the bedroom, and walks out with a small paper bag.
“Just a little thing I bought earlier today. I saw it and thought of you.” You opened to reveal your chocolates, your smile making Jaehee’s eyes light up.
You insisted she share them with you, but she refused. She got a smaller box especially to avoid you wanting to share a portion with her. The two of you share most of her gifts already, this is intended to be for you and only you.
So instead you enjoyed your chocolates, biting them in half and showing Jaehee how the chefs filled each one, and discussing the flavors. It gave her inspiration for a new seasonal mocha blend for the cafe!
– Jumin –
Rip in fucking pieces your old commoner life. If a month doesn’t go by where Jumin doesn’t try get you at least two designer items, the world is ending.
Salvatore handbags. Jewelry from Prada. Balmain dresses. Vuitton shoes. Gourmet boxed strawberries, giant influencer sets of luxury makeup, oh Valentino is producing these cute teddy bears for some reason? Here’s five.
He’s pretty unpredictable about it, too. Some days, he comes home from a business trip with only one piece for you, for which you’re almost thankful for the lack of a heart attack. And sometimes, he just ups and gets you a car or something, or five new Saint Laurent blouses.
Depending on who you are, it can get pretty overwhelming, or even troubling. All this worth sitting in your room, and is it even towards a productive cause? You remember the days when your family had to struggle with debt and insurance and student loans, you think of all you know who have to deal with eviction and EBT cards, you think of those who starve or die from sickness because they have no money.
You try to explain to Jumin that all this excess is so ... it’s too much. “But my love, I just want to spoil you,” he says.
“Then spend more time with me. Don’t blow all this money on material things. I want you.”
That’s a harder thing for Jumin to grant. He’s a perfectionist when it comes to his work, and it’s an internal struggle for him to forgo his crowded schedule to make room for you.
But it’s a gift that rewards you both. Jumin’s time clears up a bit more, and he stops trying to bury you in luxury you don’t need. You get to wake up next to him more, and spend afternoons and evenings and nights with him. It’s the best gift he could ever give you.
– Saeyoung –
No, this is not a shitpost. This boy gifts you a fucking gun. Which, depending on who you are, could even spark an argument where Saeyoung insists strongly that he just wants to keep you safe. Carrying guns is highly illegal in South Korea, but since when did Saeyoung care about the law?
You woke up one morning to Saeyoung already five hours deep into his work, because his sleep schedule is still fucked up even though he’s no longer part of the agency. A strange black box was next to your handbag, and you opened it to reveal a small plastic pistol with ammo cartridges.
“It should be small enough to fit in your purse. Keep the safety on unless you want to shoot. Stay safe, baby - S”
Saeyoung already gives you crazy gifts of robot cats, automatic night lights, talking dolls, and even at one point a taser. But this was crossing a line. If you got caught with this in your purse, it’d be a legal disaster.
Now granted, Saeyoung didn’t actually intend for you to be carrying a concealed firearm whenever you go to the cornerstore to buy milk. He just kinda thought it’d be an extra precaution during more troubled times. Being slightly sleep deprived and hopped up on soda at the time didn’t help his decision making.
You wait until he leaves his hacker den to testily shove the gun under his nose and demand an explanation. He pleads his case, and tries to insist that he was only thinking of your safety.
If you’re not comfortable carrying the gun around, he helps you tuck it away in an accessible part of the bunker.
“Please, baby, just let me know you’re protected.” He hugs you, and you thank him for his thoughtfulness. Even if its a bit weird.
– Saeran –
His Ray alter would have scoured the globe for anything you asked of him. Saeran today still wants to spoil you as much as he can. Which, as his life slowly stabilizes, begins to grow in opportunity.
Like his brother, he makes tech for you. Mostly software, such as tricking out your laptop to have firewall defense that no money could buy, or hotwiring your phone to run quicker and faster than new.
His money begins to flow in from freelance work, and he starts to look for more classically romantic gifts. First, it was bouquets of flowers he’d surprise you with, then it was little wrapped boxes of macaroons, and then he would shop for crystal jewelry and expensive perfumes.
He wanted to pursue that ‘princess’ image. He no longer tried to force you into it, but instead let it inspire his romantic bent. Every holiday or occasion that allowed for the slightest excuse for gift giving, and he was guaranteed to give you something or another. On Chuseok, he gave you a silk shawl. For Halloween, it was a large box of decorated sweets. On Christmas, it was a pressed flower pendent. New Years was a smart watch that he reprogrammed.
And on random occasions, he’ll still come home with a large bouquet of carefully arranged flowers, or perhaps a new potted plant to decorate the house.
You always reward him with a kiss, and it makes him feel really appreciated. A bit of loving normalcy in his otherwise troubled life.
– Jihyun –
While Jumin tends to be very ostentatious with his wealth, Jumin is a lot more reserved. He may not buy you Chanel coats on a whim, but he still shells out quite large amounts of money for dinner at a fancy restaurant, or a beautiful hand-printed silk scarf he bought while working in Shanghai.
When he buys you smaller gifts, he picks up things from co-ops and other independent, artsy places, usually while he’s running other errands. He’d be shopping for kitchen gadgets and touring the wellness section, and he spotted this beautiful set of bath salts that he’d thought you enjoy. Or, he’s on his way back from the gym and passed a natural produce boutique, and saw a gorgeous gift box of unique tea mixes.
He’s a believer of sustainable living, so most of what he buys he tries to put his money towards ethical practices. So if you’re getting something from him, expect it to be natural-grade, vegan, fair-trade, etc. Whether its a bag of candied oranges, or a pearl necklace.
He likes to be spontaneous with his casual trinkets, and traditional when it comes to occasions. You never know if he’s gonna come back from grocery shopping with a scented candle for you, but it’s for sure that he’s got some special bracelet or hair barrettes for Valentine’s.
To him, these are all just evidences of his newfound peace and tranquility. There’s nothing like being out and about, seeing something, and being able to go, “Hm! I wonder if my love would like this?” So it propels him to buy it and test out the hypothesis. And it almost always results in your smile, which to him is the best reward.

What do you thinks the veterans would be doing during quarantine?
Thank you for this ask 💕 I’m sorry this has taken so long to respond to, I started writing my answer when I got the request but then accidentally deleted some of it and I’ve struggled to finish it. I’ve always been a bit of a perfectionist, but lockdown has made it worse... I have some more ideas I want to share on this (I’ve written some for Ness, Gelgar, Oluo, Petra, Eld, Gunther, Rico & Nile) as well as some reader x lockdown with the vets stuff which hopefully I’ll post soon!
♛ Erwin ♛
Rational, probably the most rational/calm of them all, he follows all the advice and precautions.
Will unfortunately watch the news on one channel and then move on to the next, refreshing news sites with more frequency than is necessary or healthy.
But he’s really good at reassuring those he lives with that everything will be okay in the end and providing support.
Wakes up with ‘And this too shall pass’ as a mantra
This is the perfect time for him to catch up on reading and research.
Takes advantage of ‘the great courses’ free one month trial, doesn’t forget to cancel because of course he marks it on his calendar.
Doesn’t take part in weekly online fitness classes - he starts one of his own.
Goes for a daily run and tries to keep to a schedule despite the world being anything but scheduled.
♚Levi ♚
Obviously where he lives is going to look spotless after this, what an opportunity to deep clean everything!
Seriously, every cupboard is neatly ordered, things are labelled, Books/CD’s/DVD’s they’re all in alphabetical order.
Gets really frustrated about being indoors everyday so definitely takes advantage of the ‘once a day’ exercise rule. Sometimes he goes for a run, occasionally a bike ride, mostly he finds himself just walking getting lost in the woods. No one is more surprised at this than him.
Downloads Tik Tok out of curiosity - ends up making unintentionally hilarious videos with cleaning tips and demonstrations.
Struggles - at first he is so happy and almost smug about not having to spend time around others. But is very much the introvert who is an introvert until they’re told they must avoid contact. Calls/txts people often and is a little more touchy-feely with those he lives with.
♞ Mike ♞
* Takes up guitar again, he used to play it a lot when younger now only does occasionally so this is a chance to rekindle that hobby.
Takes food to the local shelter and volunteers where he can to help.
Loads of cuddles with those he lives with (whether in a relationship capacity or close friends) and sitting under blankets. Movie days completed with popcorn and fizzy drinks in all the colours of the rainbow - he is a precious cinnamon roll who loves close platonic friendships and physical contact.
Sleeps too much - he wakes up a few minutes before he’s due to start work and doesn’t brush his hair.
I also see Mike as someone who loves just sitting in bed listening to the rain on the window while listening to lofi hiphop/jazz and smoking weed.
Is always available at the end of the phone line if people need someone to talk to and have some reassurance/comfort.
♕ Hanji ♕
Day 1 and Hanji has cracked open the board games & Table top games from Jenga, Cards against humanity, Monopoly (it ends up on the floor, Hanji blames Levi, it’s probably Hanji’s fault) to Cluedo.
The panic buyer - not excessively so and not in a selfish way. It’s more of a ‘wanting to protect those they love/slight anxiety’ when things start to go down hill they’re at the shop ensuring they have a few packs of toilet roll and plenty of tinned food. They see it as being prepared but realistic, but make sure there’s plenty for others.
Uses the time at home to watch loads of science documentaries.
When the Coronavirus episode of ‘Explained’ comes out they loose their mind. It’s interesting and relevant!
Starts a blog, uses word-press. Tried to use Watt-pad, gave up. Takes a lot of aesthetic photos which are posted to their blog and on instagram.
Blows the dust off the old Physics textbooks and decides to start their own journal writing up notes and covering it in stickers, doodles, washi tape etc.
♥Moblit ♥
Loves a takeaway, it’s easier to try and please everyone this way than cooking all the time. Always leaves generous tips when he does order out.
Takeaways aside, Moblit does enjoy trying new recipes an
Cries quite a bit at the beginning as is a precious cinnamon roll.
Attempts to learn a new language, Duolingo becomes his new best friend. Gets surprisingly far as is quite disciplined
Will constantly be checking in on family/friends to make sure they’re okay (especially Hanji if not living together). Very fond of video chats with others and getting to see people’s pets, craft projects etc.
Tries to avoid the news as it causes him to go into a panic and wonder when he can hug the people he loves again.
♔ Nanaba ♔
Abandons any attempt at doing her make-up on day one.
Starts an ASMR channel specialising in positive affirmations and personal care.
Sews face masks for her friends, especially those who are key workers.
Copes with lockdown by focusing on keeping fit and schedules a home work out routine most days.
Takes up cross stitch but abandons it when they start their second attempt. The first goes very well, but it’s easy, the second is frustrating and Nanaba isn’t sure who has time for that in the new world they find themselves in.
Takes day baths, the kind of ones which resemble a ritual with loads of candles, flower petals and chilled music.

THE BEAR AND BADGER
Wooof.. this build took waaaay longer than expected, especially for a 20x15 lot. At one point I was going to scrap it completely cause it just didn’t have the vibe I wanted, but then it just turned around on me and became this charming little pub!
Cute and quaint on the outside, The Bear and Badger is a typical workman’s pub during the day and a local university hangout once classes are over. On the inside, it’s filled with curiosities from all over, old paintings line the worn walls from decades ago, and the owners have no intention of modernising the decor. It has all the amenities to keep thirsty students occupied; a DJ booth, a dance floor and juice pong out on the patio, a jukebox inside, foosball and don’t wake the llama upstairs. Students are sure to have a great time here!
CC links & download under the cut!
This build has CC, you can use the build without it, but some build items and objects will need to replace with game supplied alternatives. The majority of the cc is decor. Some cc is from Down With Patreon, which I have noted, and it’s totally your choice if you want to download or not, depending on what your stance is on that topic.

Rose Coloured Spectre-cals || Solo
Hundreds of eyes stared out from the opposite end of the room. They sat where the light couldn’t reach past the small corner where the table lamp sat, giving only the impression of their vague outlines where they clustered themselves in one corner of the room. Crossing the space her gaze locked on the vacant glassy-eyed stare of the one in the forefront as it watched her. Its eyes shone unnaturally where the light glinted against them as it followed her steps while she tried to ignore it and explored the rest of the room’s interior. Unable to shake the feeling of being watched Cassie reached out reluctantly to touch it, her hand brushed against the ageing lace and velvet frills of its dress collar, wincing at the scrape of the porcelain as the doll head twisted sideways to face away from her to the far wall.
“How long have you been collecting this kind of thing?” The whole house was a museum of odd antiques and trinkets scattered over every available space. Cassie stopped and picked up one of the pillar candles cluttering one of the nightstands opposite. She held it up, turning it over and caught the price sticker and felt an eyebrow raise. Apparently, Walmart was the Satanists candle-maker of choice now, judging from the ripped and tattered price sticker still curling under itself at the bottom. At least with the candle they’d gone the extra mile. Etchings covered the wax in various sinister looking shapes dug in deep and filled in with rust coloured paint. They even made the effort to have it studded with cloves pushed into the crevices. Movie prop quality stuff, she was almost impressed.
“About a year now,” Marian, the homeowner, moved closer towards her. Leaning against the doorframe she folded her arms over and shivered, “I don’t even like touching that thing,” she nodded towards the candle. “Bad energy from the moment it came to the house.”
Cassie nodded and made a mental note, straightened up and continued her examination of the upstairs part of the house. Every now and again Marian would walk in front of her, turning backwards to give her an odd expectant look. It wasn’t going to be easy to concentrate with a second shadow and if anything was lurking around, they weren’t going to show face, not with an audience.
“Hey, so this might take a while. Why don’t you take it easy, do whatever you do normally? You know, pretend I wasn’t here,” she offered and hoped she wasn’t dead set on sticking around.
“Oh sure. Sure, sure-sure-sure,” she nodded to Cassie’s relief. “I’ll be down in the parlour, holler if you need anything.”
As Marion retreated back downstairs, she relaxed a little and opened herself up to anything that either couldn’t or wouldn’t show themselves and left her equipment at the top of the stairs. Six rooms down and nothing. The rooms around her were creepy, but that was by design. Each decorated and stuffed with oddities and clutter like oversized curiosity cabinets. Weird, but not house call worthy. Passing by the window looking out into the well-manicured yard she peered inside the last door and frowned at the normality. A regular pastel pink and Pine bedroom greeted her which was strangely misplaced compared with the contents of the rest of the house. The end of the upstairs hallway ended with a set of ladders leading up to the attic space.
Drafts and scratching usually had more hallmarks of a squirrel problem than anything paranormal. From experience ghosts were more likely to show up somewhere at a gas station bathroom than an airless, windowless dust trap. Way more people to scare out there per square inch than in here. Putting a hand on the first ladder rung a mental picture crossed her mind of the stairs suddenly drawing up to meet her and the door locking in place, but shook it off and made her way up. The dead didn’t scare her the way they used to; the living on the other hand, they had their moments.
Throwing in an extra half an hour past what was agreed she did a final sweep of both floors of the house and came to the same conclusion as before; the house was clean. Grabbing her bag back up from beside the top of the stairs she slung it over one shoulder and descended the stairs. “Okay. So, good news,” Cassie called as she made the last few bounds down to the bottom of the stairs. “I’ve looked around and no ghosts here.' She smiled as Marion came into view and made her best Tangina Barrons impression, “this house is clean,” imagining the relief she must be feeling. Which turned out to be the opposite of what she wanted to hear judging from the shift in Marion’s complexion from pale to ashen as she stared at her with a bemused expression.
“But there has to be,” Marion couldn’t keep the agitation from her voice, “I don’t understand,” she darted into the front room and came back with a battered looking cigar box she thrust towards Cassie. “What about this then, you must be able to get something from this. I paid five hundred for it.”
Cassie took a step back, placed her hand on top of the box and gently lowered it and Marion’s hand back down and out of her face. “There’s nothing attached to that, but it doesn’t really work like that. I’m not—I’m not psychic,” she quickly stopped, realising how that sounded. “Well not like that I mean...I can’t just-”
“This is a joke.”
“You said this used to be a guesthouse back in the day, right? Old building, a lot of history. A lot of creaks and noises so it's easy to picture-”
“-I’ve seen things. I’ve felt things. There has to be something here,” Marion put a hand over the top of her head and turned on her accusingly, “what good are you to me then?”
Now it was Cassie’s turn to be confused. “I don’t know what to tell you, but there’s nothing in here.” Normally this was a good thing. For the sane at least, “but you don’t want anybody haunting your home anyway,” she reasoned, “they can’t even pay rent.”
“Then what the hell am I paying you for?”
Cassie stifled the urge to remind her this was pro bono and remembered the ‘anonymous benefactor’ she mentioned who had given out her number. “When they told you to contact me what exactly did they tell you? Did they give you a name?” She asked, already knowing the answer. Marian straightened to stand at full height, arms crossed, “His name was Marvin...or Martin something.” Marsden, Cassie quickly corrected in her dead. Who else. This had his sense of humor all over it. He recommended you,” she let out an indignant huff of breath through her nose. “He said you actually knew what you were doing. Well, let me tell you after this you’ll be lucky if anybody this side of the state so much as breathes near your direction.”
“You promise?” Cassie murmured, but not quietly enough she quickly realised with a traitorous pang of guilt and winced as she looked up to face the other woman again.
“Out, go on, out,” Marion fumbled to get the words out, her eyes livid as she moved to usher her to the door. “Get out of my house!”
Cassie reached for her cell phone to call a soon to be dead man and made her way towards the door before she had to be told twice. Making her way back to the car she dumped her bag back onto the backseat and sat down inside and fished the tin of mints out from the glove compartment with her free hand while the other scrolled through her contacts until ‘DO NOT ANSWER’ came up and dialled. It connected on the fifth ring.
“You’re an ass,” she responded before he could say so much as a word.
“Absolutely. What about?”
“Next time you decide to help do me a favour: don’t.”
“What?” She could practically see the impish look on Marsden’s stupid smug face, “I thought you could use a laugh after last time. I thought she’d be right up your alley. Actual proof people can live without a brain.”
“Where do you get these people?”
“I was just getting rid of some cast-offs. She wanted to take them off my hands and I was happy to oblige. What can I say?”
“That’s the lowest-”
“A morality lesson? coming from you. I’m honoured. How is that martyr complex coming along?”
That last one stung more than she liked to admit, “bite me.”
“Careful who you say that to. They’ might take it as an invite.”
Biting back a retort she felt a prickle on the back of her neck and turned towards the driver side window to see the lady of the house glaring out from her front window. If looks could kill. She tucked the phone between her shoulder and her ear and pulled the visor down before starting the car. “I gotta go before the mob descends,” she hung up and started the engine as Marion’s eyes continued to bore into the side of the car. She didn’t get paid enough for this. She didn’t get paid at all. Peeling away from the curb she wondered if it was too late to go back to the day job and look into that telepathic waffle maker while she still had the chance.

Sorry this is late!!
2. How’s their team work? Do they share well? -
Alright, so the only time I’ve written our boys working in a team is when I write STRIKE AU’s. There’s the addition of other Avengers characters in there, all working on STRIKE (as the good guys ofc). Throw in one of my many original male characters for extra team bonding too. In truth, they work like clockwork in this group, really they do. Everyone else is constantly calling Brock and Jack ‘mum and dad’, that’s the type of team dynamic they have (Brock’s obviously mum lol). Brock’s the one who will be away training the rookies and Jack’s the one who will be sorting through paperwork, but also doing the debriefs for missions with anyone that will be involved in it. They both work hard to keep the team on track, work is work, they keep that separate from their personal life. So yes, they do share well, there’s no secrecy anywhere on the team. They’re also the first ones to throw themselves in the line of fire for the sake of saving a rookie or another teammate. It’s like a weird family in a sense.
10. Who drives? Cooks? Does the handiwork? Cleans? Pays the bills? Handles the public? -
They switch between those tasks, besides paying the bills (I hc that Brock just can’t deal with that shit so he leaves it to Jack XD). Other than that they’re a pair of nerds who have a spreadsheet with who does what on what day. It’s like, if they had kids they’d do the same thing, like a chore chart, but since they don’t they do it for each other. Brock makes it even better by buying frickin’ stickers for it and when they get to like…twenty stickers or something they get the other one a reward lol. Which could be many things, ya get me? 😏😏😏
20. What does their home look like? Their room? -
It’s fairly simple, but there’s certain things that show that there’s people living in it. There’s Jack’s books lining the bookshelves, and some lying around the room because he gets lazy and doesn’t put them back. Then there’s Brock who has videos games lying everywhere and he’s probably got like every console imaginable, ‘cause he gets pissy that some games are only available on certain ones. I think their decor would be pretty industrial, style wise, it’s cosy and it’s home.
Their bedroom isn’t that much different, most of the furniture they got for it was stuff they got great bargains on. Jack’s always buying new bedspreads, but again he keeps them simple, either in plain block colours or he’ll buy ones with some basic patterns on them. As long as they have a high thread count on them he’s sold. Brock likes to keep a scented candle burning whenever they’re in that room too, it’s his place to relax after a hard day at work. Usually Jack will lay beside him, reading a book, and he’ll watch the TV that they have mounted on the wall. But they still argue about the closet space…:P
38. What are they like in the bedroom? Any kinks/fetishes/turn-ons? Anything they won’t do?
Look, if they have time they’ll make it to the bedroom, but sometimes it ends up being the couch or maybe a wall. But, if they do manage to make it to the bedroom it could go either way, some nights Brock likes rough and dirty, other nights he wants Jack to take his time. It really depends on how they’re feeling. Generally, they’re both up for a lot of foreplay beforehand, Jack loves foreplay, Brock likes it most nights, but not always. There’s other nights where they just can’t be bothered, they’re bone tired, so they’ll trade soft kisses and probably have some lazy frottage thrown in. Other than that they’re pretty active in the bathroom. Brock’s up for some occasional roleplay also 😏😏.
Send me a ship and a number and I’ll tell you

Habakkuk 1:1-3:19, Revelation 9:1-21, Psalms 137:1-9, Proverbs 30:10
Today is the 18th day of December. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is great to be here with you as we continue our journey through this final month of the year. And the final month of the year is full of color in the Bible because we cover so much different territory. And today is no different. We will be diving into the Old Testament portion of our reading and as we do, we’ll be reading in its entirety the book of Habakkuk, which is the eighth book in the grouping of prophetic writings that are known as the minor prophets.
Introduction to the book of Habakkuk:
Now, Habakkuk is a bit of a mystery. Like there's probably less known about Habakkuk than any other writer in the Bible. There…there's a Jewish tradition that speaks of Habakkuk as being the son of this Shunamite woman who was resurrected through the ministry of Elisha. And that story we found in the book of second Kings and there's another tradition that’s in the apocryphal book called Bell and the Dragon and that depicts Habakkuk ministering to Daniel well he’s in the lion's den. And these are traditions. And when scholars examine these traditions, especially this last one about Daniel in the lion's den. Well, you know, usually they consider them to be stuff of legend. So, even though we’re pretty unsure about Habakkuk and his history, there’s many verses in Habakkuk that are very well known, like this one, “the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God”, right? That should sound very familiar because Paul repeats that sentiment over and over in his letters. And it should sound familiar from the book of Hebrews. This is a core doctrine in the Christian faith. And because Habakkuk reads kind of poetic and has a lyrical form to it, especially as it closes out with a Psalm or a hymn, some scholars have looked at Habakkuk and considered maybe he was a temple musician. But Habakkuk is interesting because it contains inside of it a conversation that is a pretty direct conversation between the prophet Habakkuk and…and God. And the conversation moves from doubt into a place of worship. Habakkuk is just talking to God and saying out loud what he’s seeing. Like, everybody's fighting, there's no justice, there's more wicked people then there are righteous, and justice is perverted. So, Habakkuk's saying all this to God because he wants to understand how it is that God's letting the evil, like every conceivable evil happen like…like He's not even paying attention, like He's not even aware of it. And God responds to Habakkuk that the Babylonians are going to come punish His people, which sort of like exacerbated the problem for Habakkuk because he's like, “you are going to let even more evil people come here to…to punish the evil of your own people?” In other words, “you gonna let even more evil people than us come and punish our evil. And God begins to give Habakkuk like a…a larger perspective that the Babylonians would come and punish His people, but they would not be unpunished. In fact, their ultimate destiny would be complete destruction. So, it began to dawn on Habakkuk that God is not indifferent, He's not unaware, that He's not uninterested, but He is in fact working in the world and He is in fact just and true, which ultimately leads Habakkuk into…into a hymn of worship and give us language, words of faith and trust that are beyond what we can currently see as a set of circumstances that come and go every single day. And, so, with that we’re reading from the God's Word Translation this week and we will read in its entirety the book of Habakkuk, which contains three chapters.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word, we thank You for another day in the rhythm of life that allows Your word to wash into our hearts and minds and to guide us in our lives as You penetrate into every aspect of who we are and we open ourselves to that fully and we declare along with Habakkuk, “we will be happy with You, Lord. We will truly find joy in You God. You save us. You Lord, God Almighty are our strength. You make our feet like those of the deer and make us walk on the mountains.” So, Father, it would be easy to say amen and invite You to go into our day, but that's backwards. Father, lead us into this day and may we follow where You are leading so that we participate in a day that collaborates with You in revealing Your kingdom in this world, especially in this season where the entire world is…is being marketed to and we’re distracted in every way possible but the world takes note that we are commemorating the arrival of the Savior. So, come Holy Spirit, may our lives be a beacon pointing to the way, the truth, and the life. We pray this in the name of Jesus our Savior. Amen.
Announcements:
dailyaudiobible.com is the website, its home-base, its where you find out what’s going on around here.
And it's been all things Christmas time, all things in anticipation for the arrival of the of the day that we commemorate the Savior's birth. So, we’ve been talking about that a lot, including the annual Daily Audio Bible family Christmas Box that is absolutely full of resources that are intended for the journey through the Bible in a year. So, we've been talking about that, but today is kinda the last day I’m gonna be talking about it. They'll still be available if there's any left today, they’ll still be available for a couple more days, but this is the last day we think we can get things to you by Christmas here within the United States. Of course, internationally, that date has passed. So, today is the day if you want Christmas Box to arrive for Christmas. Like I said, it's full of stuff. The God of Your Story’s in there, a signed first edition copy. Daily Audio Bible journals in there. Coffee or tea, your choice. The annual Christmas tree ornament with our year main word for the year, “Maintain” on it. Pop socket for your tablet or mobile device. Global campfire candle, which…which I love because it smells like a campfire, it’s like a Global Campfire aroma. And then a couple Global Campfire stickers and a pack of the Global Campfire postcard. So, it's a wonderful box. Check it out. Get it while you can. Today is the last shipping day for Christmas.
If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, thank you, thank you with all my heart. Thank you. We wouldn't be here doing any of this if we weren’t a community that was in this together. And, so, thank you. There’s a link on the homepage. If you’re using the Daily Audio Bible app you can press the Give button in the upper right-hand corner or the mailing address, if you prefer, is PO Box 1996 Spring Hill Tennessee 37174.
And, as always, if you have a prayer request or comment 877-942-4253 is the number to dial.
And that is it for today. I’m Brian I love you and I'll be waiting for you here tomorrow.
