birthdays, besties & bravos
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Poppy x Dieter, Ava x Dieter & Bryony x Dieter Warnings: mentions of alcohol consumption Word Count: 1,591 Happy Birthday Heidi (@wildemaven)! We really hope you don't mind, but Lellen (@gnpwdrnwhiskey) and I took Poppy out for some birthday celebrations in honour of your special day, upon the insistence of Ava & Bryony! We hope you enjoy it! xx
A/N: you don't have to know how everyone is if you would like to read on, but you can learn about Poppy, Ava & Bryony in the following: - Sweet Creature by @wildemaven - Conversations with a Movie Star by @gnpwdrnwhiskey - Chiffon by @trulybetty
Tumblr media
“Was that a baby goat you just herded out your back door?” Ava asked, her arms crossed on the back of the sofa where she was kneeling, having watched Bryony shoo the animal out of her back door.
Bryony huffed as she brushed her hands off on her jeans, “Don’t ask.”
“Dieter?” Ava asked still.
“Dieter.” Bryony muttered as she picked up a serving tray of margaritas and an array of cheese and crackers. “Is that my shirt?” She asked Ava as she rounded the kitchen island to the expansive living area cornered by plush sofas.
Ava plucked a glass from Bryony as she passed, turning around to plop herself back down onto the sofa, “Yep,” she replied with a responding pop, “I mean, you have a stylist as a best friend, only fair you share the spoils.”
Bryony rolled her eyes playfully, “I suppose, it does look good on you.”
Ava smiled, pleased at the compliment, “I was thinking just the same.”
Bryony continued across the living room, stopping only to place the tray down on the coffee table and scowl at the fact the damn hippo coffee table had been switched out on her again. However there were more pressing matters to attend to than her husband's interior decor tastes.
“Here you go love,” Bryony handed a margarita glass to Poppy who was sitting crossed legged on the armchair that matched the sofa Ava was now stretched across, margarita glass in hand as she reached for the charcuterie board.
Poppy looked up from her phone, “Thanks,” she responded despondently as she took the drink.
Bryony and Ava shared a look across the room, “Still haven’t heard from him?” Bryony asked.
Poppy sighed, tucking the phone at her side, “No, nothing.”
“Fuck him,” Ava decreed and Bryony shot her a look that said tone it down. “What?” she asked, giving Bryony a confused look.
Taking a seat on the love seat, Bryony brought her drink to her lips, tucking her feet under her. “I’m sure he has a good reason why he hasn’t messaged you.”
“It’s her birthday.” Ava deadpanned, ignoring the second shooting glare Bryony was sending her.
Bryony glanced at her watch, “Look, Cricket came by earlier,” she said referring to one of her best friends and Hollywood stylist, “and she left me some bougie outfits for us to pick through. Though,” she shot a look at Ava, “she says all the pieces have to be returned this time.”
“Pft, I appreciate it more than any snobby rich bitch would have.”
Bryony rolled her eyes, “Anyway, we’ve got an hour until the car comes to pick us up,” she gave Poppy a soft smile, “why don’t we go and get ready for a night of celebrating our darling Poppy and using Dieter’s credit card to open a tab?” she ended with a wink at Poppy who couldn’t help but smile in response.
“Okay,” Poppy agreed before she downed her margarita.
“Woo! That’s the spirit!” Ava applauded, her drink in the air in a one sided toast to Poppy’s change in demeanour. “I saw a super sexy dress that you’ll look to die for in, come on!”
Bryony stood to follow the two women up the stairs to her bedroom, “How much did you go through up there Ava?”
It was over an hour later when they finally got into the waiting car. Situated in the back seats of the luxury Lincoln, Poppy sat in the middle tugged at the dress she was wearing.
“Do you think this is too short?” she asked.
Bryony, head down texting furiously, didn't stop to look up, “First of all, stop tugging it, that’s how the sequins fall off. Second, you look stunning,” the emphasis of the word had her accent coming out thicker than usual.
Ava snorted, “I’ll never get over that accent.”
Bryony ignored her, “You’re going to be fighting off the attention this evening.”
“Yeah, Dieter doesn’t know what he’s missing.” Ava scoffed, “Oo, actually, selfie!”
Ava extended her arm, holding her phone high to capture all three of them in a frame, everyone leaning in for the shot. Poppy forced a smile as the phone’s camera snapped a series of photos.
“Perfect!” Ava declared as she reviewed the photo, “There we go, maybe now he’ll see what he’s missing out on,” Ava said, scrolling through the pictures and picking one to post on her Instagram story.
Poppy’s phone chimed, breaking the silence that had settled in the car, “Shit, shit, shit, shit!” she cursed as she scrolled through the message.
“What’s wrong?” Bryony asked.
“There’s been a burst pipe at the gallery.” Poppy’s eyes widened as the reality of the situation kicked in. “Oh my God. The artwork! Do we have enough insurance to cover any damages?” she said, speaking more to herself than the other two women.
“Don’t worry,” Bryony reassured, instructing the driver to make a detour. “We’ll stop by, check the situation. This is why insurance was created, you can assess the damage. Then we’ll carry on with our plans.”
“I can’t believe this is happening, today of all days,” Poppy groaned, pressing her palm against her forehead.
“Shouldn't there be someone you pay to deal with this? Your Dieter is loaded, isn't he?” Ava asked, “I thought it was only Bryony’s Dieter who spent money on random shit like farm animals.”
Bryony furrowed her brow and rolled her eyes, a common occurrence with Ava, “First they’re adopted not purchased and second… yeah I got nothing, we have two hippo tables now.”
Poppy’s phone buzzed again; it was a message from Dieter, finally. ‘Just saw the picture Ava posted. Poppy, you look incredible, love you.’ Poppy's heart sank.
“Well, would you look at that,” Ava said, peering over Poppy’s shoulder at the message. “He’s alive after all.”
It didn’t take long for the trio to arrive at the gallery, Bryony instructed the driver to go grab a coffee and she’d call them back when they were ready. Climbing out the three took in the front of the building, the lights were all out.
“That’s strange,” Poppy remarked as she fumbled in her purse for her keys.
“What’s that?” Bryony asked as she tapped away at her phone.
“Diem was the one who sent the text, but it doesn’t look like anyone is here.” She said as she put the keys in the lock.
Ava, who had her hands cupped to the side of her face peering into glass windows of the gallery, confirmed Poppy’s observation, “Yeah, I’m not seeing anyone.”
Bryony grabbed Ava by the elbow and spoke through gritted teeth, “Maybe it’s out the back, did you think about that?”
Ava’s eyes widened, “Y-yeah, totally probably out the back.”
Poppy, too distracted now with the lock, swung the door open and stepped into the dark of the gallery’s main entrance.
“Hello, Diem?” she called out, cursing as she tugged on her dress and several sequins fell to the floor, “I know, I know Bry.” she said, expecting a scolding from the older woman but when she was met with silence she was confused, “Bryony?” she got no response, “Ava?” silence still.
Groping in the dark she reached the wall for where she knew where the light switches for the main room were. It took several stabs in the dark until she found the switches, the lights stuttered before they lit up fully, “That’s bet–”
Poppy didn’t get a chance to finish.
“SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
The room was full of friends and family, all beaming smiles as they raised glasses in toast to Poppy.
Dumbfounded, Poppy didn’t notice as Dieter stepped away from the crowd, a bouquet of soft blush poppies in his hand.
“Happy birthday Poppy.” he murmured into her ear, as she noticed the sea of poppies that filled the space that didn’t hold family and friends.
“Dieter, you planned this?”
“Hm hm,” he nipped at her ear as his free hand trailed down from her waist to the hem of her dress, “This is new.”
She caught her breath as his fingers toyed with the hem, his fingers brushing her bare thigh, “Bryony let me borrow it.”
His fingers moved higher, “I think I might be writing her a cheque, because this dress is not going back.”
“Dieter,” Poppy hissed as she pushed his hand back down from under her dress.
He laughed, “Later Pops.”
Placing the bouquet into her hands, Dieter took her face in his hands and leaned in closer, his deep brown eyes captivating hers. His lips were mere inches away from hers and with the same lightness that his fingers had touched her dress he brushed his lips against hers and kissed her. His hands moved slowly to the back of her neck, as if they were meant to be there forever, sending tingles down Poppy’s spine.
He was the one person who could make her forget everything else in the world. Dieter pulled away after a few moments leaving Poppy feeling breathless and wanting more.
“I thought you forgot.” she breathed out, her eyes still closed.
He brushed a thumb over her lips, “How could I forget Pops?”
“You had me fooled.”
“It would have ruined the surprise, I’m sorry.” He leaned down to kiss her lips again.
She smiled, her eyes now open and looking at his, “It’s okay, you can make it up to me.”
“I can? How's that?” he asked, his head cocked to the side, a coy boyish smile on his face.
“Oh, I can think of a few things.”

the car's in reverse, I'm gripping the wheel
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Dieter Bravo x ofc!Ava
-words 300-ish
-something in the orange universe. deleted scene or something. baby Dieter & Ava making questionable choices. for those who don't know, Conrad is Ava's grandfather and he's an asshole in every universe.
Tumblr media
"You remember the day you left?"
She does. Vividly.
Sitting in the middle of his bed, criss-cross applesauce, wearing only one of his dress shirts half buttoned and falling off her shoulder, rolling joints she never planned to smoke while she waited.
He had been so excited to see her, so glad she was there. She'd known he would be because he knows she hates this house and the parties he throws and she's tired of the parade of beautiful people constantly traipsing through.
He smells like another woman and there's a lipstick smudge on his cheek and still she pulls him to her, drawing him down onto the bed, guiding him home and pretending she doesn't notice any of it.
It's later, sometime after the afterglow, her head on his chest his hand tangled in her hair when she mentions it.
"You could come with me."
She knows he won't, knows he'd be miserable, knows he'd end up hating her.
Dieter hums, like he always does, like he's pondering it, like it's just a game they're playing.
"Where would we go? New York, maybe? I'd like to try my hand at live theater."
Ava's turn to hum and ponder. Him taking Broadway by storm, her going to NYU maybe, a life and a place of their own.
And Conrad still a looming controlling figure, even from the other side of the country, his hands still all over Dieter's career and their lives.
And she knows even if she could convince him to go, it wouldn't be enough. She knows she'd be miserable, knows she'd end up hating him.
He's half asleep now, his fingers going lax in her hair, his breathing slow and steady. She's counting down.

INTRODUCING: TERRIFIC TWOSDAY because what's better than one rec? that's right, two.
Tumblr media
Happy Tuesday, everyone! ... Or should I say TWOSDAY? In an effort to get through my TBR list and to shout about things I've been meaning to shout about for far too (two) long, I am going to be turning every Tuesday into Two Recs Day. I'll be highlighting two works in each category that I loved and that I know you'll love, too (2)! Check them out, and remember to show some love to the creators!!
Two Series Recs: This week, I am going with two series that are currently in progress. I know that finished works often get a lot of focus. As they should! I can tell you first hand that seeing a whole series through to the end is a TALL ORDER. But you know what is also very freaking cool? Hopping on board while the train is still in motion, catching up with previous chapters and waiting excitedly to see where the train is taking you! So without further ado, here are the two trains that I recommend you all hop on this week.
LIMINALITY by @something-tofightfor
Frankie Morales x F!Reader
Wolf AU + “forbidden romance”
9 Parts in so far (plus extras + POV switches)
Thrills. Chills. Swoons. Moons. This story is brimming with excitement and adrenaline… not to mention the heat. (Frankie is a whole entire menace, as he should be.) All the guys are here (yes, that does include Tom 🙄) and they are all captured so perfectly, as is their friendship with one another and with Frankie. It features a very confident, brave, badass reader, ancient lore, supernatural elements, family business, and one heck of a connection between our main characters. Every chapter flies by and leaves you wanting - needing - more, and now is an excellent time to let yourself get hooked on this one, because the action is only ramping up from here!
PASSENGER by @whatsnewalycat
Din Djarin x OFC!Charlie
Modern Trucker AU + dog Grogu
6 Parts in so far
Are you looking for a new OC to fall in love with and want to protect with your life? How about a morally gray long-hauler who moonlights as a bounty hunter? Well you’re in luck because this story has BOTH. It’s also got incredibly high stakes juxtaposed with really sweet, human moments. Charlie is one of the most charming OCs I’ve ever met (which happens to be one of her rules to live by- all of which are good advice for anyone to follow, IMO) and Din’s characterization is so very well done - as is Grogu’s. The theme of delivering the bounty vs doing what’s right is very present and extremely well done, and watching these characters warm up to each other and blur the lines is truly a treat. Get caught up and hitch a ride for the rest of the journey, because I know it’s only going to get better from here!
Two One Shot Recs:
GREATEST OF ALL TIME by @gnpwdrnwhiskey
Dieter Bravo x OFC!Ava
Meet cute + “Do you believe in aliens?”
Dieter needs a break from work and the hullabaloo that comes along with it, and has enlisted the help of his assistant to book him a solo getaway so he can just relax, reset and revive the vibes. Sounds great, right? It is, until he gets turned around and off the beaten track in the middle of the desert and meets the enigmatic Ava and her faithful pal Goat… who might be more than your average Great Dane. After a misunderstanding about where he’s supposed to be, Dieter realizes that the airstream desert oasis under the stars is exactly where he’s meant to be.
LIKE FATHER, LIKE DAUGHTERS by @sixhours
Joel & Ellie
Part of an existing universe
Even though I’ve not yet read the series that this one shot takes place in, it’s immediately gone on my list due to this little interlude. This is such a good character study of Joel and of Ellie - of what they’ve been through, what they want for each other, and how their relationship has grown and changed. It’s got some really beautiful lines and heartwarming/heartbreaking feelings. I love these two forever and ever, and this little slice of life shows just how much they love each other, too. Joel Miller is Dad of the century. Period. The end.
Two Art Recs:
Ezra & Cee Jammin’ by @thekawaiifruitworld
Literally every time this artist draws these two, my heart grows ten sizes to accommodate how much more I love them. JUST LOOK AT THEM! So goofy, so happy, so whole and healthy and and and..!
Joel Strummin’ by @nic0o-o
I whimpered when I first saw this masterpiece, and you will, too. Just go. Just go look. Look at his beauty. I dare you not to be in your feelings about this man after seeing this piece.

Tumblr media
Chapter Quote: “Get it together Bravo.”
Dieter POV
As I sat at the table not paying attention to anything happening on stage and trying to get the server’s attention to refill my glass of wine, my mind kept coming back to one thing…the girl from the shop. Amina. She was unlike anything I had ever seen with her long silky dark hair and eyes that looked like the moon. She was invading every inch of my brain and entering my bloodstream, stronger and with more force than any drug I had ever consumed. She wasn’t the type of person I was normally attracted to. She seemed sweet, but also a little quirky. Definitely not the usual self-centered type that typically found their way into my life.
When I first saw Amina this morning through the shop window and she smiled at Ava, my entire body started to tingle. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her. Something about her was pulling me in, like twin astronomical objects stuck in each other’s gravitational orbit, the other half to my binary star system. I wanted to go inside immediately but thought against it since Ava was with me. She didn’t need to see her uncle dissolve into a bumbling mess over a pretty lady. She would have never let me live that down.
Ava’s Christmas request did give me a reason to go back to the shop, which I was delighted over. I decided to swing back by after dropping her off with her mom, knowing there was a possibility that it might make me late for the benefit fundraiser that I was currently suffering through. Between the uncomfortable chair that was causing my lower back to feel like it was about to snap in half and the stuck up ass holes I had been seated with, it gave me all the more reason to focus my thoughts on Amina, with the occasional intrusive thought telling me I should have taken a couple more edibles before I left the house.
As the next musical act took the stage, a server passed by. I waved my hand to get his attention, finally getting a refill. As he was about to walk away to the next table, I told him to leave the bottle, realizing it was nearly full. I didn’t want to have to flag somebody down again. He briefly resisted, but finally handed it over to avoid a scene. Sitting the bottle down on the table in front of me, I chanced a look around and noticed the lady across the table from me giving a disapproving look. I smiled and held up my overly full glass in a toast toward her. She rolled her eyes and turned back toward the stage. “Huh. Tough crowd,” I mumbled to myself. The bottle of wine and thoughts of Amina were the only things that could get me through tonight.
My mind kept circling back to the tarot reading. I had never considered doing a reading before, but I had a strange urge to do it when I saw the sign. My compulsive nature not allowing me to leave the shop without it. The reading itself blew my mind, of course. It really had me reevaluating everything I thought I knew about myself and what I wanted in my future, but it was Amina’s reaction to it that really stuck with me. I felt like there was something she was holding back, but I wasn’t sure what. It made me feel uneasy, but also giddy about the possibility of additional prospects.
As I refilled my third glass of wine, I considered the weird electricity I had felt between us. Was that just my imagination? I felt like she could feel it too by the way she kept looking at me. Especially when I shook her hand…or maybe she just recognized who I was? Is that how she knew I was a Leo? I had so many fucking questions and it was starting to give me a headache. Or maybe it was all the wine and edibles mixing badly.
Before today, I had given up on the idea of love. My past relationships were full of turmoil and drama. Most people just used me for money or notoriety. Once they got what they wanted, they were off to their next great adventure leaving me behind without a second thought. All of those experiences had hardened me, making me question people’s motives at every turn. It had sort of turned me into a pessimistic asshole. These days I prefer to spend my time alone and high, with the exception of family time. My sister and niece were the only two I actually enjoyed being around. I wondered if I could add Amina to that short list? She seemed different, not corrupted by the business…a normal person. She probably wouldn’t want to be pulled into this world though. She seemed too pure and gentle for it.
Movement in my left periphery pulled me out of my thoughts. One of my crazy exes was eyeing me from where she stood a few tables over. I exhaled rather loudly before spitting out an annoyed “Fuck.” The asshats sitting next me at the table turned, giving me a confused look. I grabbed my glass and the bottle of wine and made a beeline for the first door I saw before she had the chance to come over and talk to me. When I walked through the door, I was met by a flurry of activity from the servers. This was obviously an area I wasn’t supposed to be in.
The server that had left the bottle of wine appeared in front of me with a frustrated look, “Mr. Bravo, you can’t be back here. This area is not for guests.”
“I don’t fucking care. I can’t be out there. Where’s the exit?”
He raised his brows at me before answering, “The way you came.”
“No…no, no. There has to be another one. Fire code says so. Take me to it…please.” He stood there, giving me a dismissive look. I clearly needed a different approach, “My crazy ex is out there looking for me. I can’t talk to her. She’ll want to come home with me, and I’ll probably let her because I’m a fucking idiot. Don’t enable me…please.”
I could see his resolve crumbing, “Alright, fine. Come on.”  I followed him through the kitchen area to the exit at the back that led out to an alley lined with several dumpsters. I drained my glass before handing it to the young man but kept the bottle of wine. Shaking his head at me, he disappeared back inside. I figured I had been at the event long enough, so I called my driver to come get me to take me home.
When I got home, I still had Amina on the brain and got the sudden urge to paint. I didn’t even bother changing out of my dress clothes before starting on a fresh canvas in the corner of my bedroom. I had an image in my head that I needed to get out even if I wasn’t exactly sure what it was. It was a swirl of light blue, navy, deep red, and a touch of yellow. And there were shapes too…circles and half-moons of varying sizes in a bronze color. It was the most bizarre thing. I finished off the bottle of wine as I painted. Eventually getting hot and stripping down to my boxer briefs, scattering the rather expensive clothes around the room and probably getting paint on them in my drunken state. By the time 3AM rolled around, I was running out of steam. I crawled into bed, still covered in paint.
I awoke the next morning to the hot sun streaming in through the French doors. As I lay there, I had an urge to go back to the shop today. I wanted to see Amina again. I wanted to get to know her. I reached for my phone and started scrolling Instagram as I always do when I first wake up. As I was trying to think through my next steps, a post from the Griffith Observatory caught my attention. There was going to be a meteor shower tomorrow night. I started toying with the idea of going there to view the event so I could use their telescopes since I didn’t have any other plans. Maybe I could take Ava…she loved that stuff.
I sat up quickly. “Wait...Maybe…that’s an amazing idea,” I said out loud to myself. I could ask Amina to go. She would be into that stuff, right? I nearly tripped over the blankets tangled around my legs as I jumped up out of bed to go shower. Afterwards, I tried to tame my messy locks, but I wasn’t sure how well I succeeded. At least it looked like it was supposed to be that way on purpose. I threw on a navy and gray plaid button up shirt, leaving the top few buttons open and rolling up the sleeves, paired with dark wash jeans. I looked somewhat put together and even added a little cologne. Satisfied with my appearance, I popped a couple of edibles to chill my ass out, grabbed my wallet, phone, sunglasses, and keys before heading out the door.
I wasn’t sure what time the shop opened, but it was nearing 11 AM when I parked the car. I figured it had to be open by now. I could feel the nervousness creeping in. I couldn’t remember the last time I had actually asked someone out on a real date and planned it. Most of the time I would just end up leaving an event or a party with someone and stay with them for several days or until they got whatever they needed from me. That’s just how the Hollywood lifestyle worked, and I was over it months ago. It did nothing but cause me grief.
As I approached the shop from across the street, I could see the neon ‘open’ sign glowing in the front window. I could feel my heart rate picking up, realizing that this felt like foreign territory to me. I wasn’t even sure what to say to her. It was probably better I didn’t think too hard about it, or I would end up chickening out. Besides, I was just doing what the cards said. Seeing the opportunity and taking the leap.
Thinking of the card reading stopped me in my tracks, “Fuck” I whispered to myself, backing against the brick wall of the building. I hadn’t considered the card reading. Knowing what the reading implied…that could be a lot of pressure and weird as hell. Should I just stroll in and say, ‘Oh hi, I think you're my soulmate the cards spoke of?’ I was suddenly starting to feel like this was a bad idea, like she would think I was nuts.
I was about to turn and go back to my car when movement from across the street caught my attention. I watched as the shop door opened and Amina stepped outside to hold the door for an elderly woman carrying a bag and walking with a cane. They were both smiling and obviously having a pleasant exchange as the older woman slowly made her way down the small ramp from the door. Amina clearly had a kind heart and cared about others. However, it wasn’t her actions that currently held my attention, but what she was wearing; flared jeans, brown clogs, and a deep red sleeveless duster over a shirt with bell sleeves. It was the shirt that stood out to me, specifically the design on it. A swirl of light blue, navy, dark red, with a hint of yellow, just like my painting from last night.
“What the fuck? No way.”
That had to be a sign, right? My feet started moving toward the shop without my permission. I momentarily paused before opening the door, taking a deep breath to try and calm my nerves, but it didn’t seem to do anything to help.
I huffed out, “Get it together Bravo.” Like that was supposed to do something.
When I entered, I didn’t immediately see anyone. So, I started browsing through the book section, occasionally peeking around to look for Amina. I thought I could hear hushed voices coming from the back before Amina stumbled through the beaded curtains, looking back with an annoyed expression on her face. I raised an eyebrow in her direction with a smirk on my face. She looked flustered, which I found to be adorable. As her eyes met mine, she smiled sweetly, walking toward me.
“Dieter, you’re back so soon? I don’t…have the mockup ready yet…”
My eyes widened at her words. Fuck, I didn’t even think about that. I didn’t want her to feel rushed.
“No, sorry…sorry, I’m not here for that. I wouldn’t expect you to have it ready that quickly.”
She rubbed her hand across her forehead, “Whew, ok good.”
We both chuckled before she continued, “Is there something I can help you with then?”
“Umm…”
She gave me a questioning look, a small smile playing on her lips. And her eyes…fuck, I could get lost in them. I couldn’t look away. They were the most beautiful shade of gray with flecks of another color I couldn’t exactly pinpoint. Maybe a darker shade of gray? Blue? They reminded me of the lunar surface. Divine, almost otherworldly. I wasn’t sure how long I stood there staring like an idiot with my mouth hanging open, but it was long enough for her to fill the silence. She pinched her brows together, clearly confused by my reaction.
“Are you looking for specific reading material?” She nodded toward the book in my hand.
“Umm…” Use your words Bravo. “No, nothing specific. Umm, I do like learning about astrology though. I noticed these yesterday and wanted to come check them out…Do you have any recommendations?”
I noticed her eyes flick down, like she was looking me over with a smirk on her face. Was she checking me out? Fucking hell. I have no idea what I’m doing.
“Any of them are good. I don’t put anything on the shelf that I haven’t read myself. It just depends on the specific topic you’re looking for really.”
“Oh, well I’ll just browse then.” I was almost positive the smile I gave her was ridiculous looking.
She nodded, “Right. Well…let me know if you have any questions and I would be happy to help.” She smiled, hesitating for a second before she walked back toward the register.
I stood there flipping through books for way longer than I should have, occasionally stealing quick glances toward Amina at the register. It looked like she was doing something on a laptop, but there were a couple of times I felt like I had caught her quickly looking away from me.
I eventually grabbed a couple of random books from the shelf to purchase. I hadn’t really looked at any of them and had no idea what was in my hand. I made my way around the shop, taking my time to look at every inch of the place while I tried to decide on my next step. There was so much I wanted to buy, but I didn’t want to look like a weirdo. I did grab the incense burner I had seen the previous day. I had a thing for wolves, so it went with my vibe. I still hadn’t decided on a plan of action by the time I got up to the register, but I couldn’t stall anymore without looking like a creep. When I sat everything down on the counter, Amina started shuffling through the books I had grabbed. She held one up, biting her lip slightly before asking, “Did you find everything you were looking for?”
I was momentarily distracted by her bottom lip tucked between her teeth before I looked over to the book in her hand, which was called The Astrology of Sex. What a fucking idiot. That’s a great impression. I could feel my mouth drop open as my face heated. I knew I had to be turning red.
“Oh…umm. I didn’t mean to grab that. I-I meant to get the one beside it…I think…”
Her smile widened, “I mean, it’s an interesting read.” She chuckled. “You wanna swap it out…for the correct one?”
I wish she hadn't said that. The thought of her reading a book about sex was sending signals directly to my dick.
I let out a breathy laugh, “I mean, if you say it’s a good read, I’ll give it a try on your recommendation.”
She smiled at me as she started ringing everything up. The way she looked at me was making my heart beat out of my chest. I tried to look everywhere but at her, yet somehow the pendant on the long chain around her neck still caught my attention. It was copper, an elongated oval with different half-moon shapes above and below a full circle stamped into the metal. It was the same shapes that I couldn’t get out of my head last night.
“That pendant on your necklace, what are those shapes?”
She glanced down, lifting it so I could get a better look. “Oh, it's the different moon phases.”
“Huh…” I was a little stunned. “That’s interesting...”
I looked away, trying to process this new bit of information. Was this the universe's way of pushing me to ask her out? I was beginning to feel the pressure bearing down on me. I started tapping on the counter, then realized Amina had said something that I missed.
“I’m sorry, what was that?” I felt like such a jackass. I had completely spaced out on her.
She raised her brows at me and pointed toward green numbers on the register, “Your total.”
“Oh, right. Sorry.” I pulled out my wallet and handed her my credit card. Her fingers brushed lightly against mine as she took it, causing my entire body to buzz with electricity. I wasn’t ready to leave, but I didn’t know what else to say. I noticed a small display for chakra bracelets next to the register.
“What’s a chakra?” I legitimately didn’t know. Hopefully I wasn’t about to make an ass of myself again.
She looked up at me through her lashes as she bagged everything, a smirk on her face. My breath hitched slightly at the sight.
“It’s a belief that originates from early Hinduism that we have different energy disks that we should maintain and keep open. Each one corresponds with different parts of the body. There are seven of them.”
She pulled a chart out that had seven different colored circles and each one had a name related to a power. I scanned down the list; Crown, Third Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, and Root.
Picking one at random I asked, “What’s the Sacral Chakra do?”
She raised her brow at me before smiling, “It’s related to creativity and sexuality.”
My head dropped as I squeezed my eyes shut. Of course it is. I should just stop now before I embarrass myself any further. I chuckled before meeting her eyes again. She seemed amused but continued with her explanation.
“There are stones that relate to each Chakra. When you wear them, it helps with healing and balance. Allowing your energies to flow freely.”
She grabbed one of the bracelets from the display, unclasping it before reaching for my arm and closing it around my wrist next to the others I was currently wearing, “That’s on the house….to add to your collection. The brownish-red stone is called Carnelian. It’s the Sacral stone.”
Her fingertips brushed down the side of mine as she pulled away, leaving a searing heat where they touched. A slight smile playing at the edge of her lips over her teasing words.
I was almost certain I felt my heart skip a beat when she glanced back up at me. I couldn’t think. I couldn’t move. I just stood there with a dumbstruck grin on my face staring at her. I finally managed to mumble out my thanks before clumsily grabbing the bags and turning toward the exit, chastising myself for allowing the moment to pass without asking her out. I walked all the way back to my car and got in. Sitting there replaying every detail of that interaction and hating myself for failing at my mission and acting like a dumbass.
I couldn’t go back now without it being weird. I had completely blown that opportunity. I sighed as I stared at the bag in the passenger seat. A low chuckle escaped my lips as I realized I bought the incense burner but didn’t get any incense to burn. Was I really about to go back in there? Yes, I fucking was.
Before I had time to talk myself out of it, I was walking through the shop entrance again. Amina looked up from her laptop, her eyebrows pinching together, obviously confused as to why I was back. I gave an awkward wave in her direction.
“Sorry to bother you again. I got to the car and realized I forgot to get incense…to go with the burner.”
Her face softened as a smile formed on her plump lips, “Ahh, perhaps I should have asked if you needed any to save you the trip.”
She walked around from behind the counter, “I have several to choose from over here. Do you know which scent you’re looking for?”
I chuckled, “I’ve heard incense can be good to mask the smell of weed. So, whatever is good for that.”
She quirked an eyebrow at me, laughing quietly at my reasoning. Hopefully that wasn’t something that bothered her.
“It can depend on the strain you’re masking, but usually vanilla is a good cover for any of them. If it’s something on the stronger side, Patchouli works well. Sandalwood, citrus, and lavender are effective for the weaker strains.”
I nodded along, but I was only half listening. Instead, I was wondering what she smelled like... and I was dying to touch the silky tendrils of hair laying across her face.
“Umm, what’s your preference?” Was the only response I could think of. I wasn’t sure if I had blinked since she started speaking. I was completely entranced by her.
She smiled, pushing a lock of hair behind her ear, “I prefer the softer scents of vanilla and citrus myself.”
She pulled a pack of each from the display, holding them up for me to smell. I briefly wondered if I would find similar scents on her skin as I inhaled each of them.
“Those do smell nice. I’ll go with them,” I nodded, happy with that decision.
“Anything else you forgot?” She raised her brows in a questioning gesture.
I laughed nervously, “I don’t think so. If I did, I’ll just come right back again.”
She tucked her bottom lip between her teeth, fighting a smile as she walked toward the register.
Fucking hell Bravo, just do it already.
I cleared my throat as I approached, nervously drumming my fingers on the counter as I worked up the courage to ask her.
“Amina, umm…” Her eyes snapped to mine. She seemed surprised by my casual use of her name.
I exhaled slowly. No stopping now.
“Are you free tomorrow night?” She looked momentarily stunned by my question. “Do you want to go on a date with me?” I continued, blurting it out at her. It was not the best delivery.
“Umm, does it have to be tomorrow? I do have work…”
Fuck. I didn’t think that through. I felt hot all of a sudden, flushed. My ears were starting to ring from the blood pounding in them. Then the word vomit started.
“No…no it doesn’t have to be tomorrow. It’s just…there’s a meteor shower tomorrow night and I figured we could go to the observatory and use their telescopes to watch it and look at other things too…since it’s supposed to be a clear night. I thought it might be something you would enjoy doing with me? If not, we can totally do something else another day too if you prefer?”
Before she could respond, we were interrupted by the same girl from yesterday busting through the beaded curtain.
“Mina, I can close tomorrow. Go. That sounds like a good time.” The girl winked and nudged her shoulder against Amina’s to emphasize some unspoken words between them. Clearly, she had been listening.
Amina stood staring at me, looking conflicted. I could feel my heart sinking into my stomach at the realization that she was probably going to turn me down. I had nothing to lose at this point, so I might as well go for it.
“I realize the whole thing with the card reading yesterday probably makes this a little weird…but, I really would like an opportunity to get to know you better. If it matters, I did want to come in and talk to you the second I saw you in the window yesterday morning.”
Amina’s eyes widened with that new bit of information. I felt it was important that she knew I was interested before the reading. I didn’t want her to think I was blindly asking just because of the cards.
She let out a controlled breath, “Ok…yeah. That sounds like fun actually.”
She suddenly seemed shy as she smiled up at me. I let out a breath I hadn’t realized I was holding.
“Yeah?” She nodded. “That’s amazing. Awesome.” I couldn’t help the goofy grin I knew I had plastered on my face.
“Give me your phone,” she said suddenly. I fished it out of my pocket, unlocking it before handing it over to her.
“Here’s my number. I’ll text you my address. Pick me up at six if that time works?”
I nodded maybe a little too enthusiastically, “That sounds perfect.”
When she handed my phone back, I glanced at her contact information, noticing she listed her details under ‘Mina - The Mystic Shop Girl’. She must have noticed how I had names listed in my contacts and I loved that she went along with it. I looked up at her with a smirk. She was fighting a smile too as she went back to ringing up my purchase that I had completely forgotten about. We completed the transaction in a comfortable silence. Both of us stealing glances at each other with small smiles on our faces throughout. Once I finished paying, I gave her a nod of thanks as I turned to leave.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” I added over my shoulder, still smiling like a fool as I excited the shop.
I felt like I could have done a little jig as I walked back to my car. I couldn’t remember the last time I felt this excited about something. Today was a good day and tomorrow was going to be even fucking better.

What Have I Been Up To This Week?
Getting back into the swing of things with returning to work after the new year has been a little harder this last fortnight, but I think I’m getting a sense of a routine back which will hopefully free up more time for writing, reading and interacting with all of you lovely people from this point on. I’ve missed everyone!
This week, I’ve been tweaking my digital planner for the year to how I want it (I will be more organised this year!) which inevitably has devolved into wanting all the stickers for this.
I’m coming to the end of my Canva trial and I’ve been loving the extra features but I think I might go back to free for a month and see if I can get by with that, but I am tempted (if only it was cheaper) and it has been relaxing. I suppose it depends on my inspiration for moodboards, etc. too.
Writing
I managed a small amount of writing this week for Let’s Get Lost and my aim is to update that this month. Your Hand In Mine is progressing well as well so I think those will be my two fic updates this month (which is my target and anything else is an added bonus)
Reading
Fics
I feel so behind with the fandom at the moment so I’m hoping to get some time tonight to catch up on fics. Instead of a proper fic rec list this week, I’d like to highlight some of my tbr or currently reading:
Paranoid Heart @goodwithcheese
We fall like snow @psychedelic-ink brilliant winter themed Dieter x Bodyguard fic I’m two chapters in with
Take the weight off his shoulders and one day I’ll fly away @thetriumphantpanda has a Javi and a Joel fic I need to catch up on.
Hope they caught us is @undercoverpena’s new Javi fic which I adore so far and highly recommend.
What have you been reading? Let me know any recs!
Books
I’ve read two books so far this year Weathergirl by Rachel Lynn Solomon and How to Fake It In Hollywood by Ava Wilder both of which I really enjoyed. HtFIIH is the book I mentioned that gave me some fake dating Dieter vibes by the way and made me wonder if there’s a fic in there for the future.
I’m currently reading Resurrection Walk by Michael Connelly which honestly is disappointing me - the last Mickey Haller book was so engaging and this feels flat so far.
You!
What have you been up to this week? I’d love to see your recaps as well or hear what you’ve been up to.

I think Tumblr ate this the first time so let's try again, lol
Bryony and Ava were thinking about it and they didn't want Poppy to be the odd one out ya know sooooo they're absolutely positive Poppy and Dieter have room for this lovely table somewhere....in the art studio maybe? 🦛💕
Tumblr media
That’s so sweet of them!! I think this would fit in perfectly somewhere where in Poppy and Dieter’s place.
On a good night, it would be covered in styrofoam take out boxes from their favorite restaurant. Both of them laying on the floor beneath the glass, too full to move, Dieter convincing Poppy he could hold his breath as long as a hippo can underwater, which is 5 long minutes— Poppy discovers Dieter can barely make it past 45 seconds
Poppy thanks Bryony & Ava!!

A Sweet Creature
Ava Greene sits down with actor and friend, Dieter Bravo. Hollywood’s new leading man gets candid about life in front of and behind the camera. He talks about his latest movie, his commitment to his sobriety and his newest role— husband?!
Ava Greene: You're approaching three years sober now, how are you feeling?
Dieter Bravo: Probably the best I’ve felt in a long time. Sobriety is a day to day progression that I take very seriously, and I try to not lose sight of that even when I’m having bad days. Though, I’m grateful bad days have been few and far between at this point in my sobriety. I can attribute that to the support system I have built for myself through friends, family, my sponsor that I still work with and most importantly my wife who keeps me grounded daily. They all continue to keep me in check and remind me how awesome my life is, especially right now. Staying clean is a full time commitment, and it’s really a beautiful thing.
Tumblr media
AG: You followed in your famous parents footsteps by going into acting and your career and struggles with sobriety have been well documented but your parents have rarely commented publicly, are they supportive of your work and your journey?
DB: For me, I don’t need them to make a show of it by commenting or sharing their thoughts publicly to know they support me. There was a point in time where they did all they could do for me, but ultimately it had to be my choice to make the decision to get clean. Thankfully, we’ve been rebuilding our relationship over the last few years. And being in the public eye for most of our lives, the last thing we want is for outsiders thinking they have a say in our lives. In short, yes I have very supportive parents in all aspects of my life and I’m so happy for that.
Tumblr media
AG: This is your second project since rehab, are you viewing this as a comeback or a fresh start?
DB: Comeback? I didn’t know I left… Kidding! Sure, some might say it’s a comeback. A fresh start. Whatever analogy best fits the narrative is fine by me— and I don’t mean that negatively in any sense. I mean, you’ve known me long enough to know I just try not to focus on any of that stuff, messes with my fucking brain waves. I just see it as me doing what I love with a new perspective and a different approach to choosing what projects I’m going to give my time to than I have in the past.
Tumblr media
AG: What can you tell us about this project and the character you're playing?
DB: I had the best f*ckin’ time while shooting this film— sorry, but the emphasis was needed. I was really drawn to the vibrancy that this script evoked, even with the serious nature of the storyline and characters. I couldn’t stop thinking or talking about for weeks afterwards. I’d sit with my wife at breakfast and we’d discuss the script and my character for what felt like hours. I knew after I heard her feedback that I needed to be apart of this film— she might have said I’d be stupid to say no to it, in her own loving way.
The film is really about the process of rediscovering yourself. Navigating the challenges that come along with being at your lowest point and leaning on the ones who have been there for you. It’s about finding love in its purest form when you never thought you were deserving of it.
I found bits of myself in this character as we were filming, it was very much a cathartic experience for me. I guess you could say it was art imitating life in a weird way.
AG: There's already been some buzz about this year's award season, do you think this is finally your year?
DB: Ooooh! Is it too presumptuous for me to say yes?! I’ve started dusting the spot where I plan for it to go. I sound like some sort of pompous idiot! Now no one is going to go see it!*
I take it back!
In all seriousness, ‘cause I’m sure Poppy and my agent will be rolling their eyes when they read this. If all I get is a couple nominations, that alone feels like winning. A shiny statue would be nice though— just saying.
Tumblr media
AG: You've talked often about your love of art and you recently purchased a gallery. Are you planning to publicly pursue other creative endeavors?
DB: I won’t be joining American Idol anytime soon if that’s what you’re asking. Oh, you weren’t referring to my ability to hold a note during our many karaoke nights— noted!
How did you put it? Other creative endeavors? I’ve got a few art pieces in the works right now that I’m itching to dive back into when I get home. I’ve got a major gallery in LA lined up later in the year for an artist spotlight exhibit, they’ll be housing some of my work through the next year. Shoutout to my wife for getting that all lined up while I was away shooting this film.
Tumblr media
AG: What's next for Dieter Bravo? Any other projects lined up you can tell us about?
DB: I’m looking forward to some downtime I have coming up. Poppy has the summer off, so we’ll get to finally live that newlywed life. Settle into the role of doting husband while she does her thing at the gallery.
AG: Off the record, if you got married and didn't tell anyone I will kick yours and Poppy’s ass!
DB: We’re celebrating our one year this month actually. We eloped quietly last year right after we got engaged— wanted to keep it to ourselves for a little while. Which reminds me, you and Bryony should hop on a call with Poppy after this. Seeing as I let the cat out of the bag and this is our announcement— surprise!
Tumblr media
Huge shoutout out to @gnpwdrnwhiskey for allowing me to borrow her Ava from Conversations with a Movie Star for this. Ava was so gracious and even wrote the questions herself. I’m so grateful for Lellen and all her support and advice she had given me throughout the writing process of Sweet Creature!

Sunday | Week In Review I
Tumblr media
So in order to try and be consistent with this, I’ve kept a running Notes page open to keep track of my week.
As I mentioned last week, I don’t expect this every week, I am me. But I am going to keep trying to make an effort to support my fellow creators.
If there’s something you’ve enjoyed this week, please feel to reblog this and tag me so I can check it out and share 💙
Also, not that I feel it needs to be said, but this is a reflection of what I have personally read and enjoyed.
B x
Truly Betty Updates This Week…
New York Part I (Marcus Pike x f!reader)
Fics I Enjoyed This Week…
Conversations with a Movie Star | Chapter 1 by @gnpwdrnwhiskey Even if you’re not a fan of Dieter Bravo, the dialogue in this alone is worth checking out this opening chapter for this new fic. Ava is an OFC down on her luck after being fired, from her families paper no less, and has stumbled across the Bravo Inn… I’ll let Lellen’s writing do the rest
Stripper Jack Trilogy | P. III by @psychedelic-ink The conclusion of maybe the definitive trilogy of trilogies? I don’t think anyone had Stripper Jack on their 2023 bingo cards, but he’s earned his space and I won’t have any arguments on it.
Hungry Hearts | Chapter by @atinylittlepain Not many Joel AU’s I’ll jump into, but Bruce Springsteen and Joel Miller? Signed myself the fuck up for that as soon as it was announced. The unfolding of Joel and Cherry's relationship in the summer of '86 against them running back into one another 17 years later is such a great dynamic.
Fall Apart Again | Chapter 1 + 2 by @wildemaven Heidi spoiled us this week, with not one, but TWO chapters of her new Joel fanfic. I don’t think I’ve gotten so emotional over an opening chapter to a fic before like I did with this one! Then the second chapter? Just bury me now… but actually don’t, I want to see the end of this fic first!
The Layover | Chapter 9 by @goodwithcheese How did Megan describe her fanfics? Hallmark movies with smut? She's not wrong. This whole series so far has been a rollercoaster of emotions and keeps delivering each week without fail. Not only are you rooting for Reader + Frankie, but Jules and Santiago anyone? Or maybe just Jules herself because she's just the boss.
Late Night Texts | Chapter 9 by @mvtthewmurdvck I think it's safe to say it's fanfics like Late Night Texts that have got me back in my rom-com/hopeless romantic era. I don't want to give too much away if you've not had the pleasure of reading this - but it has all the hallmarks of a good rom-com set on the backdrop of the early 2000s and with Javier Peña. If you're like me and still trying to make your way through Narcos or haven't watched it yet - please don't let it stop you, you won't be sorry!
A Little FaceTime by @stardustandskycrystals I’m still thinking about this fic days later and may have gone back to read it again. Trust me, just read this - you don’t need an explanation or reason, just read it. Even if Javi isn’t your jam (wasn’t on my list before, that’s all changed now) - it won’t disappoint!
Things I’m Looking Forward to Starting…
Decoherence by @prolix-yuy Westworld and Jack ‘Agent Whiskey’ Daniels crossover, yes, please! It is also reminding me that I never finished season one and should do something about it…
Pleased to Meet You by @intheorangebedroom This is a constant on my dash and on my TBR pile for a while with so many good comments - also getting into my Frankie era, so it’s perfect timing!
The Pilot & His Girl by @avastrasposts Been waiting to savour this one! So you’ve got the Last of Us and you’ve got Triple Frontier, two of my favourite things… what happens when you mush them together? You get a wild ride through the outbreak with Frankie & Reader - I cannot wait to get into this!
Visiting by @ladamedusoif This is another regular on my dash and on my TBR that I’m hoping to get stuck into this week. A college AU of Mr. Ben from the SNL sketch. Fully fleshed out and on the backdrop of New England, I’m ready to get swept away with this promise of a slow burn.
The House by @gemmahale A Jack Daniels x OFC (Best Friend) series coming soon focusing on a long-lost friendship, an inheritance, and Jack sounding like the scallion he is? Cannot wait.
Posts I Enjoyed This Week…
@rhoorl’s announcement of their Triple Frontier AU, Delta Landscaping with mood board and logo! The residents of Tumblr won’t know what’s hit the neighbourhood when they roll into town!
Thanks to @gnpwdrnwhiskey I will never look at baby hippos without thinking of Dieter Bravo
Tumblr media
Everyone’s participation in the WIP poll tag game, it was so fun to see my dash just filled with so many creative people and so many amazing ideas! It was a neat peek into everyone’s draft folders!
Things I’ve Enjoyed This Week…
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - FINALLY got to see it this week, and it did not disappoint. Have not stopped thinking about it since!
My rom-com era has returned, and I’m deep into embracing my forgotten love of a good rom-com. So far this week it’s been The Lake House, You’ve Got Mail & Always Be My Baby. Also it gave way to a Keanu Reeves appreciation post, come share your favourite Keanu!
This Week’s Song… Went waaaayyyy back for this one, an amazing album too - the Sterephonics are one of my favourite bands of all time 🩶
Hope everyone has a great Sunday & here's to a new week!
Please feel free to share your own favourites from the week or what you're looking forward to this week - not a tag game, so no pressure for you to share if you're not feeling it ❤️ xx

Sunday | Week in Review VII
Tumblr media
Not too much to report on this week - Mr. Truly and I both had the week off and then the little Truly's were thrown off their routine and it's been a week. But it was capped off with a new addition to the household!
So without further ado, let's get on with this week's late-night Sunday in Review!
Truly Betty Updates This Week…
Cake (Marcus Pike)
Autumnal Offerings
Distracting (Joel Miller)
Smut, just Frankie smut
Fics I Enjoyed This Week…
Shared Breaths (Frankie Morales) by @frenchiereading This whole series is such a delight to read and let me tell you, chapter nine is worth reading multiple times over, let me tell you that 😏. But this is a perfect story - you've got yearning for the first half and the second half is the play out of a developing relationship that is so fun to watch play out. If you love Frankie, you won't be disappointed in this.
Turbulence (Frankie Morales) by @rhoorl Jess' first run at a one-shot on our main man this week Frankie does not disappoint! I don't mind flying, but I can guarantee any flight sitting next to our aviation expert Mr. Morales is going to be a lot smoother. This is such a fun read and I really hope we see him again in a possible continuation of this.
Saying I love you through an accidental kiss (Joel Miller) Pre-Outbreak by @songsformonkeys This one reappeared on my dash this week and it's always worth a re-read and always one I'll recommend. It's Joel at his most hectic, which is very much how I picture pre-outbreak Joel and just the build-up here and the kiss is such a toe-curling delight to read, that I squeal each time even though I know it's coming.
Strawberries (Joel Miller) by @softlyspector This is set after Clouds, but doesn't have to be read first before this one. This explores Ellie and Joel's relationship after the events of TLOU and delves into TLOU2 territory (no spoilers in either one-shot). As much as I love the idea of Ellie and Joel living happily ever after in Jackson - I do enjoy an angsty dive into their relationship as it is in the TLOU2 games. This and Clouds are excellent takes on this!
Hungry Hearts | Epilogue + Bonus I Wanna Mary You (Joel Miller) by @atinylittlepain How my heart wasn't ready for this to end - but Gin gave Jerry the send-off they deserved and not only that, we were treated to a bonus second part to the epilogue that I'm still raving about! Honestly, who wasn't reading this? But if you weren't, I suggest you do - you can binge all the posted chapters! Jerry4Eva! 💘
Candy (Dieter Bravo) by @secretelephanttattoo I imagine any date with Dieter to be chaotic and El does such a great job of describing such an event here. I feel like a broken record with how many times I referred to it as such, but it really is a deliciously raunchy romp and I'd gladly go for Ray-Ban candy floss with Dieter any time if this is the end result.
Working Title (Dieter Bravo) by @rhoorl Finally got to reading this and devoured it all. It reads like a fabulous romance novel you’d read at the beach and then want to re-read again because it’s just that enjoyable! Plus the last chapter? My loins have not recovered lol, cannot wait for the next update!
Conversations with a Movie Star | Chapter 3 (Dieter Bravo) by @gnpwdrnwhiskey Aside from my own OC x Dieter, this pairing is hot on their heels for the title of favourite OC x Dieter. Ava keeps Dieter on his toes and has made herself at home at the Bravo Inn. The descriptions of landmarks in Myrtle Beach are fantastic, the chemistry is *chefs kiss*, and the way @gnpwdrnwhiskey writes Dieter 'Anthony' Bravo is fantastic. Please do take some time out to read this series - the premise alone is superb, you won't be disappointed - trust me!
Posts I Enjoyed This Week… Okay, so there's a reason this week's week in review is christened 'Sunday Thots' - the thots were out in force this week!
@goodwithcheese’s thread on the origin of Frankie’s oral skills
@beskarandblasters’s curation of creators with a smaller following
@legendary-pink-dot's Catfish Pond PHD program's latest curriculum, Pedro & Oscar
with Catfish PhD Logo, that I will figure out how to make into a shirt at some point
@grogusmum doing the hard work for us and sending us all to horny jail
Jess’ deep dive on Grey Sweatpants Season with the Triple Frontier boys - thinking she should visit the Last of Us next 😏
Things I’ve Enjoyed This Week… No competition this week the most enjoyable thing was the addition of Francesca 'Frankie' Cat to the Truly household...
Tumblr media
This Week’s Song… Not much has been played this week, but if you saw my mood board for Salt Water last week- this is where the title takes itself from...
Happy Sunday all! Here's to a great week ahead! 💕 xx
