Time to place all summer things away

The chill makes shorts seem silly

Leaves fall from trees, people stand close now to retain heat not repel it as before

Cool drinks of water are replaced by warm cups, mugs of Coco and coffee

Pants are back, yes, I can once more hide my physical imperfections

Days of less sun and seemingly forever night allows for more gazing of the stars

Every day a new metamorphosis comes into play...

Harvest…

Time for change, taking stock

Overlooking what’s been, planning for what’s ahead

Look to the setting sun, sooner it will be colder

The window of time is shutting for now

Hibernation is next on the agenda

Gather all that you can, all that you need

Keep those who would take from your labor’s without permission far away

Bring in bottled sun shine before the long night comes

Change is on the horizon, you can feel the breeze in the air…

YearClose…

Once thought to be the end of a lunar calendar year

Time of life I changing, ending, dying

The world as we knew it is no more

Never again will life partake in the worlds renewal of rebirth

All there is now is cold, dark, damp, night

Days, weeks, months on end; sleep is the only way through

The animals know of such a life, wait aren’t we animals to

Must we close our eyes, saying farewell to the grace of the sun

Must we give in to the cold chill of a dead night…

Autumnal…

Take time to rejoice in a season

Heat of summer moves on, giving way to cool breezes

Break out the dark reds, oranges and yellows

Taste the foods only this time of year can bring

Smell the air, fresh with slightly warm dew

See or rather watch the tiny as well as the not so tiny creatures pass by searching for last meals

The world begins to yawn, sleep will soon take hold

Dun becomes a night light, as the moon takes it’s position I the sky

Watch as three months of the known turns into three months of change

Embrace this time, the world will change again soon

Feallan…

It came from the sky, to make us all fall to our knees. To look up at something more powerful than ourselves, we are not almighty. Shake our world, make it quake. Feel the turbulence I your bones, your heart skips a beat, then another, then another… Feel it course through the veins. Goose bumps form as the hair stands on end. Feel helpless, a shamed, weak, unprepared. Strong is such a thing as we have just learned. Weak are those who underestimate the fury of nature’s burn…

Shedding…

Letting go the actions of a time only to be replaced by the actions of another

Search for places to shield you from a burning sun, now search for a place to protect from bitter cold

Gather food for current nourishment, gather supplies for up coming days where food may be scarce

Run in packs around trees up and down seeking a friend or a mate. Now run the trees as an obstacle course, trying to find all the spots open to hiding or taking whatever you can find

Ever a change, same actions now re-purposed for a new endeavor. Let go of what was once an action of a time, only to take up actions for yet another

Torpid…

In a suspended state of animation

Turn so slowly that if you blink you’ll miss it

Sun sets, Moon rises, can’t see the change, neither leave the sky

Time slows, we slow along with it

Clocks don’t move, five minutes later never comes

Trapped in a waking sleep

A loop of a day that seems to never willing to end

The world treated as a toy, here only for the universes amusement

Dormant…

Hidden inside, outer shell displayed nothing

Look closely, can you see it shake…

A single identity, known or at least thought to be

What more can there be, it’s only…

Dare not to look, dare not to seek

There is always something more to all, to everything

Time may come that for now we must figuratively turn a blind eye

Time will come where you no longer doubt what’s to be found inside

AutumnMood… 🍂🍁

Let’s change up the color palette a bit

Remove the bright greens only to replace them with showers of leaves of gold, crimson and topaz

Cool colors are mixed in as well, onyx, violet, and midnight

Strokes of paint spread over the canvas that is the ever changing world

Whatever the creator doesn’t care for is washed away by soft rains leaving behind fresh morning dew puddle’s

The prism breaks as a chill can now be felt, the artist studio of space becomes an open invitation

See what mood you can create, current transitions of one season to another calls as we as dares you too…

Diwali…

Burning bright, lights along the paths that guide you onward. Come to the gathering that allows you to celebrate the coming and passing of nature’s life. A time of year to thank all for the bounty of a year almost fully past. To be thankful for all the blessings you’ve been given, leaving the bad things in the past. Take time to thank or be thankful for all that is yours. Take this chance to well come what life may yet have in store…

FestivalMoon…

Shine down, burning bright. Watch as they dance illuminated by nothing more than your pale glow. Take in the bounty of the land all around. For as far as the eye can see you’ve made such things possible. Follow your cycle through the sky above. The sun follows your direction. The tides move only on your say so. Top pick of the best a season under you protection has to offer. Thank the night’s sky guardian, as it smiles down from above. Party in it’s honor, take stock of all it’s given us.

LoiKrathong…

Place a basket upon the waves. Calm waters carry with it the ripples of what used to be. Thank those who have come before, be thankful to those with you now. The harvest of life is abundant. As the moon shines down, the candles held flicker in the breeze. Set sail what has come before, never to be experienced the same way again. Make a whispered wish, for a new life a new light to come forth again…
