this one was especially fun bc i am a biggggg fan of ghost tours myself, and i got to make up a bunch of fake lore for the “haunted house” hehe. you can decide where this is set……. (content warning for alcohol!)

One of the rare occasions that Hermann actually acknowledges that he and Newt are a thing and lets Newt use romantically-coded words like boyfriend or love or feelings to refer to the two of them–instead of just a terse and incredibly vague this is my partner, Newton when he needs to introduce him to a colleague at work–is on their anniversary. Not that he’ll call it their anniversary, of course. It’s always that time of year again or their special day or flowers thrust quickly at Newt and a kiss pressed to his cheek while he’s brushing his teeth in the morning. Anniversary is too serious. Too intimate. And God forbid Hermann Gottlieb be intimate with someone; it took a month after they got together for him to even take his shirt off in front of Newt. Newt doubts he’ll even let him use the word when they eventually get hitched.

Anyway, it’s that special Time of Year again, Their Day, and Newt has taken it upon himself to book them a weekend getaway. Their first weekend getaway. Usually, for Their Day, they just sit at home and make out or something until their forgotten dinner burns in the oven, but Newt’s determined for them to start acting like an actual couple. Actual couples do things for their anniversaries, like go out to fancy overpriced restaurants. Or have beach vacations. Or rent a room in a cozy mountainside inn (surrounded by beautiful autumn foliage) for a weekend for a wine tasting.

“Yes,” Hermann says, “but most couples don’t go out of their way to hunt down a wine tasting in the most–allegedly–haunted inn possible.”

“That’s because most couples are boring,” Newt says. “We’re not boring. We’re cool.” He clinks his wine glass against Hermann’s. “And don’t say allegedly. It is haunted. I did my research.” He takes the suggested tiny sip of his wine (a sweet dessert wine that tastes more like straight-up honey than any wine Newt’s ever had before) and forces a measure of false casualness into his voice. “They, uh, have ghost tours and everything.”

Hermann groans and sets his glass down. “Oh, Newton, you didn’t.”

“I don’t know what you mean,” Newt says.

Newt does know, and he did. Wine tastings are fun and all, and it’s a nice excuse to get Hermann to gussy up a little (because that grey suit he’s rocking tonight combined with his tidied hair is making Newt feel all kinds of hot and bothered) but they’re also a little boring. And gross. Spitting into a bucket for two hours while a bunch of wine snobs sniff their glasses and eat tiny crackers? Boring. Newt’s preferred method of ingesting wine is sticking a curly straw into a box of Sunset Blush Franzia and waking up on the bathroom floor twelve hours later. He just thought–well–he could spice up the experience a little. Especially since it’s October. People do these sorts of things in October. It’s seasonably appropriate.

“Look,” Newt says. “The ghost tour starts at eight, right when this ends, and it’s only an hour. Only around the inn. I already bought us tickets when I booked the place–”

“Newton,” Hermann groans again.

“–but we don’t have to do it!” Newt says, in a way that makes it clear he’d really like to do it. “I just thought it could be fun.”

Hermann scowls at him a bit more, but his shoulders sag. Probably doesn’t care enough to put up more of a fight. “We have a gas fireplace and a bathtub the size of a bloody swimming pool in our suite,” he says, “and you’d rather creep around in the dark and play paranormal investigator. I shall never understand you, Newton.” He takes a long sip of his wine. He doesn’t spit this one out. “I’ll be picking where we go next year. Now fetch us more red.”

“Next year,” Newt echoes happily.

“Don’t push your luck,” Hermann warns.

They have more red, and then they have more white, and then they round it out with some rose, by which point Hermann seems to have given up all pretenses of the tasting factor. Hermann is not tasting; Hermann is imbibing. Copiously. “I revoke my earlier complaints,” Hermann declares, after sloshing half a glass of prosecco down his poor clean shirt and grey suit, “this is a marvelous idea, Newton. I’m–” He sloshes more prosecco onto the tablecloth. “Enjoying myself. A great deal.”

Oh, jeez. “Oh, jeez,” Newt says. “Hey, babe, uh, maybe you should lie down for a bit, before–”

“No,” Hermann says. “I feel very fine. You ought to try this.”

He swings his glass towards Newt, and refuses to allow him to push it away until he’s had a sip. “It’s good,” Newt says, because of course it is–every single bottle here has been fucking great, and fucking expensive, as shit. He gets another taste of it (and about three other wines) a second later when Hermann swoops in and kisses him with no small amount of tongue. “Hermann,” he mumbles, “people are staring.”

Tipsy Hermann is a different breed of Hermann that never ceases to straight-up weird Newt out. It’s like all Hermann’s carefully constructed layers of repression finally unravel like a ball of yarn, like someone’s finally popped his cork and tossed out his filter and let every single mushy, horny thought he’s ever had come pouring out. Tipsy Hermann is handsy. Tipsy Hermann is flirty. Tipsy Hermann calls Newt things like lover and pretty thing and even just ooh, Newton with a little giggle and twirl of Newt’s hair.

Newt thinks he probably should’ve been keeping a closer eye on how much Hermann was drinking; he thinks this especially when they move on from the tasting (with two newly purchased, at Hermann’s insistence, and unopened bottles of the prosecco in Newt’s tote bag) to the ghost tour, and Hermann can barely keep himself upright, even with all his weight shifted to his cane, and Newt has to practically hold him. He’s going to be pissed at Newt for his hangover tomorrow. Because of course he’ll blame Newt.

Their tour guide is a young woman, probably an undergrad at the nearby college working the gig part time, dressed up in old-timey Victorian-looking clothing with an actual lit candelabra. She seems to enjoy her job, at least: she explains the logistics of the tour with a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of wild, animated gestures. (It’s an hour long, they’ll be walking up and down no more than two flights of stairs, one of the tour’s usual stops will be off-limits tonight due to construction, please silence your cell phones, she’s excited to be their hostess tonight!) “You sure you can manage?” Newt whispers to Hermann.

Hermann reaches up and tugs at Newt’s earlobe. “Certainly,” he says.

A hard maybe.

Their tour guide leads them to the narrow front lobby, and they file in in a circle around her as she begins to explain the inn’s origin. It was built in 1823 as a manor; it was converted into the building it is now during the 1870s; the room they’re in now was originally the parlor. “The painting above the fireplace is as old as the house,” she says. “It’s been hanging in that same spot since 1823.”

“Bloody ugly painting,” Hermann snorts.

Newt swats at Hermann. “Dude,” he hisses back.

“I’m only saying,” Hermann says. “They ought to burn it.”

Their tour guide didn’t hear, thankfully, and has gone on into describing the paranormal events of the former parlor. “You can still catch whiffs of his cigar smoke,” she says (referring to the original owner, whose name Newt missed, thanks to Hermann), “and some people have even claimed to spot a dark figure sitting in the armchair in the corner–” It’s faded emerald and ratty as hell, with a small velvet rope blocking it off from the rest of the newer furniture, “–also an original piece of the house, and his favorite spot while he was alive.”

The tour guide leads them down to the creepy basement next (haunted by the ghost of a former maid who’d been brutally murdered by the eldest son of the house–her lover–in 1859 and buried there), up to the kitchen (where servant bells still go off, despite the system being nonoperational and purely for show since the ‘70s), over to the bar (hidden behind a sliding wall throughout Prohibition and only recently re-discovered, where stools move on their own and translucent patrons flit around after closing) up more stairs to the former master bedroom-turned-unoccupied grand suite (where faucets turn on by themselves and strange shadows glide across the antique mirror), down the hall to the nursery-turned-honeymoon suite (where toys turn up out of thin air and ghostly babies cry in the middle of the night).

“‘S all rubbish,” Hermann declares at that bit. Still not loud enough for their tour guide to hear–not yet, anyway–but loud enough that a handful of people in their immediate vicinity turn and frown at him. “Ghosts are rubbish. Not real. I reckon they put--” He waves his hand. “Speakers, in the vents.”

“We fought off giant interdimensional aliens,” Newt says, grinning despite himself, “and ghosts are what you have a problem with?”

Hermann immediately gets snooty. “Kaijus–” (Newt cringes, because come on, how many times does Newt have to explain you don’t need the s?) “–had a logical reason for being here. And there was proof. Loads of it.”

“Stop being such a buzzkill,” Newt laughs. “This is just for fun, dude. No one gives a shit about proof.”

“That much is obvious,” Hermann sniffs.

“Is there a problem?” their tour guide suddenly says. She looks completely earnest, too, not angry at them for talking–like she’s genuinely worried Hermann’s upset or offended about something.

“No,” Newt cuts in quickly. He wraps his arm around Hermann’s waist and pinches his side to shut him up. It has the opposite effect of what he wants: Hermann doesn’t look affronted, but instead, very pleased at the sudden touch, snootiness evaporating. Of course. “Forgive my partner. We, uh, just got done with the wine tasting, and he missed the memo on spitting.” He cracks another grin.

There’s a small chuckle throughout the crowd that turns awkward fast when Hermann turns to him and says, in a faux whisper (too loud, too flirty, face too close to Newt’s), “I thought you preferred when I swallow.”

Newt chokes on air; he turns bright red. “Hermann!”

The tour ends on a mildly disappointing note. Their guide takes them up to the attic and passes around quote-unquote EMF detectors, with the promise that almost every group (to date) has caught something up here with them, but after twenty minutes of waving the little boxes around with not even the smallest beep it’s very clear their group will not be joining that number. If Hermann was sober, he’d probably say I told you so. He’s not, so instead, Newt says goodbyes and thank-yous for both of them, and Hermann collapses face-first into their ridiculous canopy bed almost the very second Newt gets him through the door of their suite. He doesn’t even bother to take off his shoes first. Or drop his cane--he’s still gripping the handle.

Newt shucks off his docs and tie, moves Hermann’s cane to rest against the clawfoot bedside table, and flops down next to him. He pokes Hermann’s shoulder. “You are not allowed to blame me for this tomorrow,” he says. “You got it?”

“Whatever for?” Hermann mumbles, sleepily, into his pillow.

“The hangover you’re absolutely going to get,” Newt says, “and for dropping sex life bombs on a group of strangers. That was all you, buddy. All you.”

Hermann turns on his side to face Newt, though he doesn’t bother opening his eyes. “You’re being awfully loud. Will you turn off the light, please?”

“Ugh. Fine.”

Newt has to shuffle all the way across the room to switch off the ancient floor lamp, and by the time he gets back, Hermann is already halfway to snoring, mouth open, drool at the corner of it, dress shirt rucked up from his waistband. It’s impossible to stay mad at him when he looks this cute. “I love you, you weirdo,” Newt says fondly, and leans in and kisses his forehead.

“Mm,” Hermann agrees.

Soo finished Autumn and will start Winter tomorrow so i can take a “slight break” in between those.

Then I have about 17 chaps of Winter unlocked and then i have... over a hundred of backstory to read a ha ha ahah

But anyway an Autumn billan is that i’m still so proud of them all.

a3 works its characters development really well and it always ends up being a very emotional ride.

I guess i’m too biased bc I do largely prefer the thematics of the Summer Troupe so i cannot help but compare, but Autumn did a pretty great job with its own thematics.

Autumn was a bit more individualist than Summer or Spring was - which is fine, and was very well handled, and still balanced out with Banri and Juza’s dynamic of being always one against the other to finally being with each other’s tunes.

There is a bit of this always competition underlining theme that is well worked on with them.

Huuum the thing is that Summer was specifically about all the members coordinating with one another and specifically, Tenma learning how to lift up the others. He was the leader but he was so he could lead where the attention should be, on the others.

Autumn is a lot more individualistic even if they all work each other out. The idea was always about them being better than the other as individuals.

Even Omi, who is clearly the one who cares the least about competition, is specifically in to develop his own individual sense of desire instead of living for the dream of a dead friend.

Taichi’s whole storyline is rooted in his individual’s journey and ultimately it’s coming clean with the fact he wants to be in the group that helps him grow.

Likewise Sakyo had to grow on his own and specifically had to take steps to “embrace the stage”

But the focus was specifically on Barni and Juza’s personal growth and individual journeys and how they balance each other as individuals.

Another thematic of Autumn is the one of regrets and i think it works too with the cycle of seasons going on so far. Spring was hopeful and blooming and discovering themselves. Summer was learning about oneself, connecting, having fun. Autumn meanwhile dwelves much more in the regrets of the past, of what the characters wishes they could have done or not.

And it works out well with their personal growth as it is.

In the begining of the story i admit i really wasn’t into Banri at all and i complained about it dljfd but his development was stellar and i’m very proud of him and now i can say i really like him. He’s grown as a leader the moment he accepted how regrets can lead you forward. Also accepted that he can still work toward something and all.

Juza comes as my unexpected sweetheart here since i’ve grown really found of him as it goes. He seemed a bit trapped into what society had forced into them... in fact, all of them kinda felt like they were trapped into what people forced them into. But they’ve all been actively trying to grow out of that and the thing is that almost everyone bring up Juza as being the motivation behind that. and i find it fascinating.

Taichi’s story was heartbreaking. Omi’s backstory had me cry into puddles. Sakyo is a fascinating character. In a whole the Autumn troupe is made of interesting people.

It seems tho that most of the dynamic of the troupe was Banri and Juza a each others throats and the others doing damage control until near the end where it was all about them taking individual responsabilities.

They’ve grown together, but i’m looking forward to see more in team development.

One of the highlights that i missed from summer (probably my only real pet peeve with Summer ahah) was... that we see more of Spring and Summer (yeah so in the end i’m still Summer biased huh).

Summer made me forget at time that the Spring charas were supposed to live with them and that was a bit of a problem :/

Autumn meanwhile really took a lot of time to have the two troupes be there in the background, even sometimes just to set the mood of a scene. Also extra-dynamic with the troupes with Itaru/Citron/Banri gaming together or all the plot around Yuki and ofc Muku and Juza.

Which is very appreciated and felt refreshing. We’re really building a family there.

As a whole yeah i’m not as much of an emotional wreck as i was during Summer though but it’s because Summer’s tropes specifically talks to me personally as my fav tropes while i’m more interested to Autumn on an analytic standpoint than an emotional one.

Still, it was a great lot of fun and i loved every seconds of it!

Half of the Winter Troupe had been introduced now soo i cannot wait to see them. I’ve grinded enough the backstories to be curious about all of them and what’s to come, but i’m especially curious about Azuma bc,,,,, i’m v weak for him,,, And the play planned for Winter is actually one that attracts my attention the most... it seems so pretty and sad at once.....

That’s also from the season cycle right? Spring was youthful and friendship based, Summer was humouristic and escapism, Autumn was mature and action packed, so now Winter is coming and i suspect it’s going to be melancholic considering the plot of the play... and i can’t wait to see how they handle it.

Oh and the whole mess with the God Troupe: Come fucking fight me yourself Reni you bitch.

That will be my concluding word on it *nods*

...... and then backstories and i will have done the full content of the game......

ah a hahha funfact i had a one week “holiday” from uni that was done specifically for us to study and i didn’t work at all and it’s all subjects i’m a bit failing into so it’s Kind Of A Problem but just thinking about working on them froze me completely so ooops. Getting a new hyperfixation always stops me from being able to focus on anything else it’s terrible.

But here i am *finger guns*

Anyway Summer Troupe still best Troupe. Love u Autumn though. Love u Spring too. And I will love you Winter. I know it.

Welcome to Dugi otok

It's been my wish for quiet some time to visit Dugi otok (Long Island), the long and the most distant of the Croatian islands located in the center of Croatian part of the Adriatic sea. Actually, I visited one part of it – the Nature Park Telašćica, when I was a kid more than 15 years ago…but never other places and with the new purpose. However, my wish had been granted surpassing all the expectation I had about this trip.

The main reason why I wanted to travel there was to find and record the locals who speak the local idioms. For those of you who've been following me for the last couple of years and especially my YouTube channel you know that this was a super exciting trip for me. These native speakers represent a national and cultural treasure in terms of lingusitic heritage and a history of the litoral and maritime people living here for centuries, with some of them being isolated or with little touch to the land (terraferma). Thus the excitement to hear the living past and a nice blend of the Croatian Slavic culture and the Mediterranean Latin influence.

Apart from finding the native speakers I was excited to find out more about being and living as an islander. So I had to chance to record, hear and take photos of stories and experiences of the local people from several villages including both youth and seniors.

How it all started

I was super lucky to be given the opportunity to stay for four days on the island and meet many people whose help I never expected. I got the accommodation for free at the local monastery of St Michael in Zaglav which was thrilling enough and especially valuable since they allowed me to stay during the festive days around Easter. As soon as I got the confirmation that it's not a hallutination but a reality I looked for help among friends and acquaintaes who could aide me in getting to know the island and the locals. Without them this trip would have looked totally different as I knew practically nobody there. In the end I made lots of friends and had plenty of fun while doing my mission. I spent literally days and hourse right before the trip to get the additional camera equipment, gather as much as valuable information about the locals as possible, creating my own map of the potential people for the intervju and preparing the daily routes.

But before we dive into the adventures here's a some info about the island.

About Dugi otok

What do you need to know about this paradise? Dugi otok is the largest of the North-Dalmatian islands situated in the central part of the Croatian Adriatic. Iti s also the last island before the open sea and Italy on the other side of the Adriatic bay. Just like the majoritiy of our islands it has many hills and small bays with its highest peak of Vela Straža at 338m. The island is around 45 km long (hence the name) but at some points its width ranges between 1 and 4 km. This contrast was especially visible when I was driving a car from the south and at one point I stopped and looked to my right – there you see the islands towards Zadar and Velebit mountain. Then you turn to the left and see the nothing except for the blue sky, horizon and the deep blue Adriatic sea. However, during the crystal day and with a good eye sight one can see the eastern Italian coast, more precisely – the Apenine mountains. After all, Italy is less than 200 km away across the sea.

Its western coastline bordering the open sea characterize the sharp contrasts: the southern part around the Nature Park Telašćica is surrounded with impressive cliffs that go up to 80m in height. Telašćica is one of the most beautiful place sin Zadar county and frequently visited by numerous tourists each year.

On contrary, on the other side of the island you can find more peaceful bays. The two most notable beaches are Sakarun and Veli Žal where Sakarun is the most famous one. However, last years due to growing number of visitors and greediness it no longer looks and is as it was 10 years ago. I also never went there but visited Veli Žal instead. All in all, the nature on this island is incredible and as the locals say – you hardly notice any seasonal change. It always looks as if the time had stopped between spring and early autumn. Always green and no leafs falling. In terms of nature this island will be a perfect place to escape the reality and the stress of the modern lifestyle spent in larger urban areas. Clean sea, peaceful nature and the welcoming locals.

People, customs and history

Speaking of locals the island has a population of roughly 1500 inhabitants spread in around 12 local villages. The largest of them is Sali in the southeastern part of Dugi otok with the population of around 800. On contrary, places such as Dragove or Veli Rat in the north have between 40-70 inhabitants statistically. However, accoridng to the stories, there's far less people who actually live for the whole year. The sad truth and reality is that these places will become ghost towns within 10-20 years as the majority of these locals are seniors over 80 years old. The thing is – apart from them most of the visitors are so called „weekenders“ – the islanders who live on the land (e.g. in Zadar) who come there over the weekend…or the other part that's present during the summer are the diaspora. These are the people whose parents, grandparents or further ancestors emmigrated to the United States, Southern America or Australia and New Zealand at the beginning of the 20th century or around the years of the WW2 in search for better opportunities and life across the sea. There are even some remains left of the WW2 bunkers and ship tunnels that I am going to describe you later (I couldn't resists visiting some of them). And even today one can find near the central part of the island a restricted zone which belongs to the military whose base is on top of the hill. It's said it used to watch over the potential threat that comes from the south or across the Adriatic sea.

The population of the island was thus much larger, actually surprisingly larger. However, the Great War in 1918 and the Second World War had taken the toll with great consequences. Many of the islanders died or were killed during those time, especially the young people, men, who were meant to start new families. Those who survived either stayed or moved to new places. Some places used to have a lot of children attending the schools. Now some say it's „a success“ when they managed to gather up to 10 children of the elementary school in total. And they come from different villages.

Being on the island many of the locals have traditionally been turned towards the sea and what it offers. It's not unusal to find people who have spent their lives sailing around the world. Some have been fishermen. Some are into agricultulre and what it offers. Unlike us who live on the mainland here you can't have super large fields but smaller ones where you take care of goods and cultures such as figs, oranges, lemomns, tomatoes, potatoes, salad and olives. In Sali there is a fish factory which provides employment for good amount of the locals. There is another important factor in the lives of the islanders and that is the Church and religion. It's not unusual to find many of them to be (kinda) devoted Catholics who go to the church every Sunday. After all, as some explained me, it's also a social thing or event, when you think about it. And living there for centuries, relatively isolated and surrounded by nature and vast sea surface, one shouldn't be surprised to see faith and religion rooted deeply in the locals. And being an islander does not mean living an easy life, as you are going to find out. Speaking of religion there is this Franciscan monastery of St Michael in Zaglav with a church that was built in mid-15th century. That's the place I stayed at.

The places on the island are connected with one main road from which you have amazing views over the surrounding islands and area. The island has also got quiet good connection with the mainland via trajects and speedboats (catamaran). There are four catamaran lines that go daily from Zadar to Dugi otok. If you are planning a trip on Dugi otok by car you will arrive by traject to Brbinj in the northern part of the island. The same goes if you want to leave the island by car. Speaking of cars the only gas station on the whole island is located in Zaglav in the south. That's also the place I arrived to and stayed at for four days.

What else to add? During the summer season many are some festivals related to religious events, local music and traditional kitchen. Those who prefer to spend their time actively they can go exploring the area, follow many hiking roads, visit the caves, Park Telašćica or National Park Kornati. If you are more into sports then I suggest finding some diving locations or courses, try running, trekking, biking, trail, sailing etc. At the northernmost point of the island at Veli Rat there is another landmark of Dugi otok - the lighthouse of Veli Rat.

I forgot to mention some of the older history of the island. Here are a few interesting things to know. The island was already inhabited with settlers in the early ages in paleolithic and mesolythic. Several years ago scients discovered the human skelleton that date back to 11 000 years BC. This discovered male Dalmatian known as „Šime“ died unnatural death at the peak of his retirement age of 40.

One can find the remains of the settlements and stuff of the ancient Illryians. There are also several caves on the island and around Telašćica park one can find tomb hills dating back to Iron age 800-400 BC. The last thing I'd add here is the Grpašćak Fortress on the western coast above the cliffs of Telašćica. It was built in 1911 by the Austro Hungarian Monarchy which served as a military patrol base. I came close by my first evening on the island but more about it in the next post..

autumn. the time when the leaves start to change colors and the days begin to get shorter

autumn, the season that han jisung held dearly to his heart and memories.

autumn, the time when he had fallen for you all those years ago

the memories of the golden trees and the brisk, cool nights reminded him of you

even if it had been several years,, the season had always taken him back to the fondest moments in his life. the moments in his life he had spent cherishing while still trying to get over you

“it’s not healthy to keep doing that jisung.” seungmin sighs, trying to beg jisung to stay at home

“it’s a tradition.” the older one would argue back, “it’s a routine to me, no feelings or anything.”

“doesn’t mean you should continue to do it… it’s been five years already.”

“almost five years.” jisung corrects before opening the door, “i’ll be fine.”

the air was chilly against jisung’s warm skin, his nose turning a soft pink during the walk down to that old music store

at first it was a way to get over you,, after you had broken up with him

he would frequent the store in hopes of trying to salvage those old memories he held,, afraid that they would disappear like the feelings you had for him

but then it turned into a routine,, one that made him feel incomplete if he had skipped it. he always had to go to the store on the first day of autumn

maybe it was because in the back of his mind he was in the hopes he would see you,, or it was the hopes that he could find love in the magical music store again

his entire world stopped spinning,, those eyes he fell in love with were right in front of him

“y/n.” the name was nearly foreign to him,, yet still had it’s way of sliding off of his tongue like nothing ever happened between the two of you

“jisung.” your breath was caught in the middle of your chest,, somehow seeing his face again made you feel so at home

as jisung was about to ask you about your current love life,, wholeheartedly expecting for you to say that you weren’t seeing anyone,, another familiar face shows up

you could sense the tension between the two guys,, it made you uncomfortable to feel the thick atmosphere around you

“hey, why don’t you go purchase this? i think he wanted a poster to go with it.. i saw some over there.” you turn to say to hyunjin, who obediently nodded his head and went to the other direction

not before saying that he’d wait for you outside so that the two of you could finish catching up

because hyunjin knew that it was something you both needed

you turned back to face jisung,, who was facing the floor, the tips of his ears poking out from his hair that were already bright red

“so when did that start? you and him?” jisung’s tone had darkened completely,, almost as if he was upset with you

did he have the right to be upset? it wasn’t like you cheated on him,, you both were already broken up when you and hyunjin had gotten together

“a year after we split.” your voice had turned to almost a whisper, “i didn’t think it would happen-”

“you told me he was your best friend and i believed you.” his eyes started to let the tears stream down his face, “a year? you got over the two years we spent together that quickly?”

“jisung-”

“then it’s with him. it would’ve been a different story if it was a complete stranger, but to break up with me then go date your best friend a year later? for four years?”

jisung wouldn’t allow you to speak,, his anger had taken control of his heart and blinded his brain

all he did was continue to spit at you with his anger

“maybe you had feelings for him the entire time, didn’t you? is that why you broke up with me? did you even love me?”

“han jisung!” you hadn’t raised your voice with him in so long,, it reminded you of the months before you broke up with him

“stop.” you plead with him, “let me explain.”

your hands were shaking as you plead with him,, you couldn’t believe this was happening in the music store

just like it did before countless of other times

“fine.” he finally settled down,, although he was acting quite stubborn to actually listen to you

“hyunjin and i got together naturally.. after spending so much time together after our break up. i was broken and he helped me heal.” you start with a breath, “i never thought of him as more than a friend until a year after we broke up. so no, i didn’t have feelings for him during us. i can’t believe you would think i would ever do that to you jisung.”

you tried to shake your mind from the thoughts but you had to ask him,, or else it wouldn’t eaten at you for the rest of the day

“did you have doubts of me,,, the entire relationship?” your voice was shaking, you wanted to cry as well

your heart had twisted and turned inside your chest,, did he truly go the two years doubting your faithfulness to him?

“i didn’t mean for it to come out-”

“answer me jisung. did you not trust me?” the tears pool in your eyes,, your vision blurring before you blinked allowing them to rush down your face

“i.. did. i trusted you.” you heard the uncertainty in his voice, this was what broke your heart but you felt that this was the end of the conversation

as if the two of you continued,, it would just turn back into the months you both spent arguing back and forth over nonsense

“hey i’m sorry,, i overreacted.” he rushes to say,, afraid of hurting you

but he already did. he opened a new perspective for you,, that you didn’t even knew existed and maybe you didn’t want to know existed especially not five years later

“maybe it was better off with us not,,, seeing each other anymore.” you mumble, your voice shaking and your chest feeling completely hollow

“don’t say that y/n.” jisung begs

“look at us jisung. we weren’t meant to be.” you say with one final look at him

the boy who used to hold your heart in the palms of his hands,, the boy who took your breath away with one look into his eyes,, the boy who had you swept off the floor

who now became the boy who only made you cry and hurt

jisung tried to say another word,, but you had already walked away not wanting to turn back to hurt yourself more.

leaving jisung to realize his mistakes in the aisle of the music store.

“hey,, what happened in there?” hyunjin asks, noticing your newly quiet demeanor, “everything okay babe?”

you didn’t speak a word until you made it home, not wanting to break down in public again

the moment you stepped into your house,, that’s when you felt the weight of the world crash onto you

the load of the words pressing against your shoulders,, you couldn’t help but to start sobbing.

which causes hyunjin to quickly react,, and dropped his things to hold you

your tears causing him to cry along with you,, one thing that jisung didn’t do before

“he thought,, i didn’t love him at all.” you sobbed into hyunjin’s chest, “as if those two years meant nothing to me. as if i didn’t spend an entire year fighting myself from contacting him. as if i didn’t constantly blame myself for breaking his heart.”

you tried to collect yourself, but the harder you tried the more difficult it became

“as if i don’t call seungmin every year to secretly send him a birthday gift. as if i don’t call felix to see if he’s doing okay. it hurts hyunjin. it hurts so bad.”

and as you sobbed,, the pain had grown,, the pain of the wound that slowly opened itself again.

hyunjin held you in silence, rocking you back and forth as an attempt to calm you down

“it feels like my heart just broke all over again.”

and this time,, it wasn’t your fault. yet you still blamed yourself for it.

Zach I’m sorry overall about the tragic events that took place in this game. For those times that we talked, I enjoyed getting to know you and establishing a friendship with you. You gave off such vibes that you were a powerful force to be reckoned with, and I think because of that as well as other factors made you the initial merge target. Though I didn’t vote you, I am sorry and I truly think you’re adorable and I loved your pinocchio in the All Star music videos and AHHH!! I hope everything is great and that you don’t take anything super personally from this game because i’m sure it's a relative feeling amongst most that you’re great and that your vote was purely strategic, opposed to personal.

I just wanted to thank the hosts for bringing me back, it was an honor. And although i may hate you all right now its been so much fun getting to play with you all! I’m so happy to have made so many new friends! And I still get to keep the crown for most days played and the queen stays queen, adiós!

Ali Duncan :( it's time for personal o’clock. I have SO much love and respect for you Duncan. You have been someone that has always supported me since Emathia, joining VLs and watching me flop at Big Brother, and just…. being the nicest. You have just such a fun energy, and you are so amazing with supporting your friends and one of my biggest hopes is I can be as good of a friend to you, as you are to me. I remember when you did a video confessional with Amanda for Azores and you were just…. so 100% focused on being there for Amanda and being a friend, and you truly deserve the best, as you give the best to everyone else. I just think you are so sweet and great, and it's been my pleasure to be able to call you a friend. I’m a Dunstan forever.

Dana I was SO excited to finally get to meet you playing this game after seeing you around in the community. You are hysterically funny and such an honest player, which is something I admire and respect. Unfortunately, I knew I wasn’t your priority in this game, but I absolutely loved spilling tea and talking shit with you- definitely some of my favorite memories from this game! I hope there is more to come for us both inside and outside of games!

Zach My… showmance… AJSGKD. Duncan you are genuinely one of the most purest souls i’ve met throughout this game. From our time on Vireao to then merge, I just… we connected quite a bit early on and maybe some of that was lost at merge, but it was still somewhat there?? It’s hard to explain really. I think you’re an adorable person though, and your vote was honestly so difficult. But with the lack of information being swapped between us, and how you apparently had advantages but we were a showmance… it just felt too difficult to form that trusting relationship, and due to your threat status, your vote occurred. I really hope you didn’t take anything personally because like… you were a threat, it was strategic. No one had ONE bad thing to say about you as a person or even gamewise. It was literally all love, love, love. But yeah, you’re so cute and loveable and I genuinely enjoyed taking the time to talk to you, and I wish things could’ve worked out differently and i’m sorry about anything that happened in this game. I hope to continue talking with you outside this game, love <3

This game was wild from start to finish for me, it was honestly the most fun I’ve had in a game so far considering I didn’t even think I deserved to come back as an All Star. I had a great time, wouldn’t really change anything I did except probably would’ve given fewer people my snapchat and facebook info…oh well!

Ali Right. This one is potentially going to be my longest RoP and I assume you aren’t going to read this, judging by how much you seemed to hate me after you were voted out. I’m not going to try and bactrack and say I regret my decision on a game level, because I don’t. You were winning this game…. Like 100%. You could do anything and everything and literally were. But, what I do regret is how much being voted out upset you. You are my friend outside of this game, and I cried like… real tears (I love emotional stability) when you said you didn’t want to talk to me again. Like, I would hate for a game to ruin our friendship. I would really really hate that. I also was sad in that as you know from when we have talked, I am SUCH a will warrior and have always been a supporter of you, as you know. I’d hate for you to take me voting you out as a personal attack, as that’s truly the last thing I want? I know it might not come across that way, but me voting you out was almost a compliment? I never would’ve so aggressively blindsided you if you weren't SUCH a big threat.I just really love you on a personal level and would hate for this to affect that?

I also have something else to say to you, that I’m not entirely sure if you are going to want to hear. I will be really disappointed on a personal level if you try and poison the jury against people? Like on a game-level, that's your prerogative as a juror to do what you want and like you are totally allowed to get the jury to vote or not vote anyone you want, and if its against me it's not like I’m going to hold it against you. With that said, as someone that was so disappointed in a jury being turned against you in Azores, I’d… be disappointed if you tried to recreate that as a form of revenge? Like if you want to try and tank people’s games in the minds of a jury, you are 100% more than welcome to as a juror, I’d just be sad on a personal level that you would want to do that after it upset you so much in Azores? With that said, if you wanna get nobody to vote me like you said, like I say you are more than welcome to and I wouldn’t hold it against you. I don’t know, this is probably not something to say in RoP, but since you said you never want to talk to me again, I want to just like…. put it out there, in case this is my only chance. Honestly (provided I get there), if it takes you dragging me to hell and back at FTC to be friends again, please do. I just want to be friends again. THIS WAS LONG and I apologise for making you read all this (even though I feel like you could very easily still be mad at me and just not read this)

Dana My closest ally and one of my best friends in this game! Watching you get voted out was one of the hardest nights of this game for me, and forced me to play a very different game than the one I had anticipated. I’m so sorry you had to die for me to rise, but you taught me how to be a better strategic and forward- thinking player and I’m incredibly grateful for that! Love you!

Zach This vote is probably the definition of bitter-sweet. Will, let’s start with… i’m sorry about being such a freak and weirdo to you in pms that you probably thought I was unstable and a dork. I really should’ve been slightly… less that and more different but that’s just my quirky personality. I love you and I think you’re a great person at heart, and you were someone I genuinely connected with first at the one world phase, and then later during the merge portion, and I hope that was reciprocated. From those times that we talked about snow to pizza to literally… me sending the first few pokemon and pictures at 4AM to you… just… it was so fun and I really hope we still talk once this game is over because I literally adore you so much. I’ll explain the bitter sweet aspect. It was bitter because I literally didn’t want you out, and I felt so bad especially after that call that me/you/Dana had just minutes before. You wanted to play so badly and I admired u and wanted u to literally win like i was ready for you to run me over w ur car and then I thank you for it. The only sweet aspect about it is that you’re such a phenomenal player, and I predicted you to win this game just because of how charming you are. I wouldn’t have voted you out anytime soon but like… idk. You’re great. I’m sorry about that night because it was truly tragic and I hate that I had to play this game so many more days without getting the chance to be weird to you. Love uu, you’re a legend <3 <3

I had a fantastic time, this season was filled with All Stars and no one disappointed. It’s been a wild ride and it will be hard to see it end.

Ali My cracked Disney queen. We unfortunately didn’t connect as much in this game as we have in others, which was a shame because you are SO MUCH FUN TO GOSH DARN WORK WITH. Soooo much fun. I always admire your like… reputation in the community? You are just the queen of positivity, and everyone loves you for a *reason*. And that reason is because you are the best.I have played four games, with you for three of them, and it's truly been a pleasure every time.

Dana Though we didn’t talk much in this game, you are such a sweet girl and one of the genuinely nicest and most cheerful people I’ve gotten to know. I’m sad we were in such a difficult position that resulted in you getting voted out, but you were so understanding and happy despite everything.

Kevin Hunt You Down came on as I was writing this and I thought of your iconic intro vid... Anyways um...third time was the charm I guess. I initially did wanna work with you because you seemed super nice but the way the game shook out it didn't happen obviously.

Zach RUTHIE!!! I hate that you weren’t around much, but nonetheless I still adore you with my entire heart and I love love LOVE you. I felt like we worked good, hand in hand, and i’m sorry that you were voted out. You’re honestly the definition of genuine and a sweetheart, and I was just… so excited to play with you again and i’m glad we got to be on our OG tribes together, then again at the merge. I just remembered something really funny and I know it’s not going to be like professional but like I wanted to apologize again for that one time that I ignored you about the vote because I was getting… a lil turnt or something and MSDLKGMSD ugh that was so funny when you called me out in the tribe chat like FRICK. I really wish you could’ve stayed, and maybe your vote put me in a better position because it made me less targeted, I still love you and adore you and I would’ve loved had you been given the chance to continue fighting in this game. I hope ponderosa is treating you well girlie <3 you deserve the best.

my time in the game was an absolute roller coaster. sorry to use such an overused metaphor. anyways. i am so thankful to have met everyone in this game and to have even been considered an all star in the first place. looking back at my game, there’s a lot of things i would have changed. i made a lot of mistakes and i can’t really explain everything i did and i am quite surprised i made it as far as i did. i’m so thankful for the hosts for a great game and everyone for being so nice to me even when i was ANNOYING!

You have this energy of self belief, that is honestly…. so great to see? While it meant you were terrifying to play with, I was so proud of you almost for being arguably the biggest threat in the entire cast.You were always a good player, even in Azores for your first game, but I think you have the self belief now in what you are doing that makes you such a force to be reckoned with? Like Duncan, it's my pleasure to call you a friend before the season and I’m looking forward to continuing to be friends, thankfully without needing to talk game! I don’t want to get gushy, but I’m just…. such an Emily fan? Like you just have this really just universal effect on people where everyone wants to be your friend? Dana Ahh what do I even say! I spent so much of this game thinking about you, and talking about you, and wondering how I was possibly going to work with you when you are so nice, endearing, and friendly—exactly the opposite of who I am (rip). Honestly, I was a little intimidated by you, but despite us not working together and rarely talking about the game, my fear was always met with kindness on your end. You’re a great player, your mist is STRONG, and your strength at this game really challenged me to have to work harder and smarter in order to be sitting where I am, so thank you!

I knew of you before the game started, and I just felt like you hated me because i’m paranoid and then instantly I felt like we connected. Then luckily, for me at least and i’m sorry this might not be good for you, we got to play on the same tribe the entire game and I genuinely was so happy because you were on of my favourite people to message and talk to and everything. We called quite a bit and I vented to you and you’d vent to me and ugh it was just… I really like you Emily. Like, game aside, you’re a phenomenal individual and, well, incorporating game, you’re such a great game player. I think the most fond memory I have with you (and this is going to be an upset MSDGKSD) was when my instagram was glitching - well, it still is - and you went off private because you wanted me to follow you and it let EVERY. SINGLE. REQUEST. Follow you and it didn’t even LET ME FOLLOW you ASKGDHFL. I had so many great times with you and… i’m sorry it was spoiled during your vote. You were just such a threat, playing so well, having the advantage that you didn’t tell me about :/ and… i felt like your vote was necessary moving forward in this game. Hello everyone and its the winner of All Stars 7th place Cameron! I’m writing this when I’m very sad so like.. that’s all I gotta say. This game was awesome and I’m proud of how all of us played! Good job everyone!

Ali I am what I am, and what I am is a Cam stan. I could go into gamey stuff and explain why I voted you out, but I think you know…. It's because you were literally winning. You had glown UP this season as a player, i remember when we called on the night of the one world and I was like…. whomst is this person and what have they done with Cameron, you just had such self confidence and sense of self worth, that I’m really hoping you translate into your real life, because you are always so down on yourself and really shouldn’t be because you are truly the best. And now that I’ve kind of loosely touched on game, it's time for a “why I love Cameron speech”. RoP is kind of a weird place to do this, but you are someone that sometimes doesn’t realise how much they are LOVED by so SO many people, so I’m hoping you can use this as a pick-me-up when you feel down.

Cameron, you are one of my favourite people ever and it's my genuine PLEASURE to call you one of my best (or beest) friends. What I value in you most is your…. Loyalty? You will fight to the death for your friends, and I really hope I am as a good of a friend to you as you are to me. Whether you are having a down day or not, you will swoop in and make sure everyone is okay, and I think that’s a really really great characteristic to have. Also, you are so funny, like I think there are few people in this game who can make me laugh as much as you do? You just have this infectious joyful energy that means people can’t help but love being around you (the non-problematic people anyway). You are one of my favourite people ever, and I just wish sometimes you knew just how great you really are.

Dana Cam the ham. My favorite upsetting (in training) bb. Going from having you host my first Athena game to getting to play our first game together, our relationship has come a long way and is one that is so important to me. I’m sorry I robbed you in this game, but I knew I had no chance of making it to this point in the game with you despite how much I enjoyed every minute of us working together, and I think you knew the same. I’m so glad we got so close and that you’ve been such an accepting friend, because let’s be honest, I’m cracked and A LOT, but you always listen when I’m being crazy, which I love. Watching you play such a strong game is something I am so proud of you for. Love you Ham-eron!!

Kevin We've been over this but... I wanted to work with you, because the brief moments when we did work together were great, but in this game there came a point where there was a lack of any trust. Zach Cameron… I just don’t know where to start with any of these ROPs. Okay. I felt like premerge we didn’t have a connection obviously because… we never were together. The first time we were on the same tribe was literally merge (well, one world, but that was for 2 days), which is somewhat shocking. I did enjoy working with you, i’ll admit. After we all came together post-Will vote and started planning together, I was really happy because we’d call quite a bit and just… laugh and talk about anything and everything. Whether it was going to have Dana play that fake dog idol or just talking about game purely, it was so much fun and I don’t regret one second of it. The reason for your vote, at least to me, was that you were clearly in a similar mindset with me. Like, we knew our interests didn’t align. And keep in mind, that’s literally ignoring the fact that you played this game so hard and so good, helping spearhead multiple votes directly and just… you played phenomenally. So just with all this information combined, you were my biggest threat at the time and I think your vote was critical to determining how this game would result. Also, let me say that I was genuinely ready for you to swipe the merge idol out of your pocket and just be like “thought you seen the last of me? Surprise!!” like… i was on EDGE that entire night. In the end, I wish I could’ve been slightly more honest about me voting you but just with paranoia and how you weren’t honest with me, it felt necessary. You’re a great person at heart and everything, and I really hope we can continue talking post game because I love you and you know that, and you know I wouldn’t do anything based on personal feelings, but rather game related issues. Ali Hey Ashvika! You were one of the few people I didn’t actually really have any connection to pre-season, and it's been SO GREAT getting to know you. You are just such a nice and pleasant person to talk to, that I can see why you won last season! We were on the same tribe together for our entire game, and it's been really great to ride the all stars wave with you. I’m sorry you got voted out in such a like…. wild way, but an unprecedented exit like that is only fit for an icon like yourself. You have been such a joy to play with, whether things were going your way or not, you would take it in your stride and just keep going.

Dana Things just never seem to work out for us in games do they!? I love you so much despite our flop at working together, but I’m glad I got to know you better this time around! You put a lot of trust in me at a few points during this game and I’m really thankful that you trusted me enough to do that. I learned a lot about being dedicated from you in this game. You always give your 100% effort and are so passionate about playing, which was really refreshing!

Zach ASHVIKA! It’s ugly that we never really talked substantially until merge, but even on OG Vireao we connected slightly. I love you and I genuinely was so excited seeing you cast because I heard so much about you and I saw you in Unova and everything was so satisfying. We talked and I love that we had similar courses and we literally live close to each other and maybe we could meet up soon?? Wig?!!! But yeah. In the game i really enjoyed our mini conversations, and I hate that we only started talking a significant amount near the end of your journey :(... i feel bad that a lot of things went down during your trip, but in the end it probably was for the best because tbh that tribal was not only deadly, but… stressful as heck. Now for game. I think you played such a likeable game and that’s what was most threatening about you, like… I had so many conversations with people and when your name got brought up, it was the idea of “oh my gosh, she’s won her season unanimously” which just made you seem like a phenomenal player, and I definitely see that myself. I really wish there wasn’t a live tribal that night because had there not been, we would’ve gotten at LEAST two more days to talk and it would’ve been so fun because you were someone I talked to the most, especially during that phase of the game. Of course though, I love you greatly and I think you’re a peach, and I hope to continue our friendship once this game is over, and I really hope to get to play another game with you sometime soon :’) <3 love you queen.

This is my third game of only four that I’ve played, that I played with you and every time is just a genuine blast. I’ve tried to play differently this season and actually made moves, and I don’t think I could’ve done it without the emotional support that on a personal level you provided me with? Like it's kind of unfair to have lumbered a lot of that on you, but the reason I did is because I have such trust in you as a friend. I just think you are just… such a great person. I am also INCREDIBLY honoured that the first person to vote for me in any game ever was you, like in a weird way that’s just… really amazing, to have _the_ Owen vote for me. I just… I really think you are such an amazing person and like a real role model, both as a player (because oh my god you are always so scary to play with) and just as a person? Like I just think you are such a good person through and through, and I’m so glad to know you.

I’ll forever feel guilty for robbing you of final tribal in this game, but just know that I wouldn’t have had to do it if I didn’t think you were one of the most intelligent and brilliant players I have gotten the opportunity to play with. I’m so glad we finally got redemption from our “alliance” in Festive and actually became good friends. Zach bye bye. This is going to be so hard to write and i’m already feeling anxious and sad again. The first time in this game we got to play together was during the swap phase of the game. I felt like we connected, and it was different than our time in Festive. It felt more genuine, it really did. We’d call sometimes too and just, I don’t know. I loved that alliance of you/me/emily that was made, and I just was so excited to play with you again, and hopefully together this time. You were someone I trusted a lot, and you never broke that, and I want to say thank you for that right now before I get into anything else. So, thank you. During merge, I still felt like we had a connection, but I think it was mostly during round two (of merge) when we started talking a lot. I’m struggling to pick out one single memory because I laughed too many times and too hard at so many of our conversations and I don’t even know where to go from here. Just the call about “mario” to making a group text chat and being upsetting to just about anything, or even that time when we called and i lied just for dana to tell you the truth 2 minutes later and then me apologize in the broken language i spoke in and just SMDGLKSD ugh there’s too much. There literally is too much to talk about. From the game standpoint, I think it’s obvious. You hands down played one of the best games this season, and you not only helped orchestrate many moves but you were just a social goddess to the point where I like… was on the verge of tears about having to vote you out. I didn’t even want to attend tribal because it was so awful and I just couldn’t speak without choking up and ugh. You’re a great person Owen and I really hope we can continue talking after this game and that we are able to play a game again because you made me such a wario/waluigi STAN and I never had one dull moment with you and argh. Dana and I would just talk about how amazing you were, and this is getting too long I need to STOP. I love you and I hope you know that I only did what I thought was best, and I really hope you’re willing to wear steel toed boots and kick my jaw because that’s what I deserve for committing the robbery that the four of us did. The Top 30 #30Wears is a new challenge that I’m starting right here, today! The 30 Wears Campaign was started by EcoAge’s Livia Firth, and aims to bring more awareness to sustainability practices when shopping. It was on sale at UO and V cheap, given the style of the shirt I never thought I would wear it as often as I do but it’s SO easy to style.

7. Shorts: American Apparel, these are classics. The ‘go-to’ AA shorts. MIne are two sizes up which I regretted at first but now I love because I can wear them no matter where my body is at and they always look cute.

Bonus: headscarf is from Ardenes — if you’re looking to add some to your closet look there! They’re really affordable and exactly like the ones you can get at Zara etc. for twice the price.

14. Skirt: Thrifted, call this my ‘Rachel Green skirt’ bc it reminds me of her circa season 1. I wear it literally around the clock, every season, all the time. It goes with everything and I love it to heaven and back.

15. Jacket: Thrifted, originally London Fog, what can I say? I love a red coat. the lightweight material makes this great for ‘in between’ days when the weather just can’t decide — also a stylish and practical edition to a suitcase when traveling.

17. Leggings: Lululemon, I fell in love with these in the store and had to have them because they are SO soft and comfy. They’re a legging material but they don’t hug the leg, instead they’re just loose enough that you’re super comfy but don’t lose any shape.

18. Sweater: Primark, bought this in Dublin bc it was 5euros and I had nothing to lose. Remains to be my most-worn sweater and my go-to for downtime. Also LOVE that it matches my leggings.

19. Top: Gifted, I don’t know where it’s from but I know it’s made of bamboo and incredibly soft, comfortable and breathable. The first thing I reach for when getting ready for any workout.

20. Shorts: Lululemon, these were basically the uniform lifeguarding shorts from my lifeguarding days… as in EVERY female lifeguard had at least one pair. They’re just super comfy for all walks of life (lol) and I still pick them out every time I do any sort of activity.

21. Top: Topshop, bought this for a fortune 6 years back, a year in advance for a school trip to Greece. What can I say? I had a vision. I knew I would love and wear this to death when I bought it and I was 100% correct.

22. Shorts: American Apparel, these are the other set of classic AA shorts. I love these apart from the fact that my bum sometimes peaks out of the bottom in them….. but they’re still really flattering and I still wear them a lot because I just love them so much so!

23. Jacket: Bluenotes, I also bought this in prep for my Greece trip, but I bought it a week before and only because it was a steal of a deal. I still wear it to death 5 years later.

BONUS: hat is from Topshop, I impulse bought it for $50 when I was having a breakdown at Square One in Missassauga – we stopped there during out long layover in Toronto on our way to, you guessed it, GREECE. It was a rough time but at least I got this hat out of it! remember when these were crazy popular? My pictures from Greece sure do!

24. Top: Gap, at first I didn’t like this because it was ‘too big’ for me, but there’s something to be said about oversized button down. It’s something the friend who has her life together and is the CEO of her own business in a romcom would wear, and it makes you feel like her.

25. Jacket: Thrifted, originally London Fog, this was the first coat I thrifted, and the one that started my coat thrift shopping obsession, I’ve worn this coat around the world and it’s the first thing I’m packing when I move.

26. Overalls: Urban Outfitters, my mom bought me these for Christmas one year and I looooooove them! They’re comfortable like loungewear but you can easily style them up for some kick-ass streetwear looks

27. Top: H&M, another super easy and stylish top to wear — works for both professional and lounge looks, works for staying in and going out, works for pretty much everything.

28. Top: New Look on ASOS, bought this as a basic for winter and it became an absolute staple in my wardrobe. It works with athletic styles seen here, but also with skirts (#14) and blue jeans (#12) and pretty much anything else you could imagine!

29. Vest: Thrifted, originally Sierra Design, bought this for all my hiking adventures and never looked back.

30. Jeans: Topshop, bought at Hudson’s Bay because they were a steal and I love the colour SO much! They’re perfect for autumn, or just for bringing a little colour and variation to an outfit.

This is one heck of an article and I really appreciate it if you made it this far! I really hope the thinking behind #30Wears becomes more trendy in the next few years, I can’t help but feel disheartened whenever I see haul after haul after haul… there has to be better ways to engage with the fashion industry than just mindless consumerism! I believe there’s a way! We will pave the way!
