I hate it when the weather is going through menopause. We had a nice, chilly, wet and rainy week. Then yesterday we were at nearly 90 F and dry af. Today? We may hit 100 F, and it's still dry af. The rest of the week is looking to be dry, but it'll be 60s F until the weekend...when we'll be in the 80s F again.
Menopause season is so annoying.
#chaosfay talks#it's twice a year and usually lasts about three to four weeks of up and down hot and cold wet and dry. I fucking haaaaate it.#when I was in the Midwest I had a neighbor who would visit family for the entire month of September and May.#the rapid switching between weather and temperature made her joints rage at her so it was off to southern california for her.#I asked why she didn't just live there and it was strictly cost of living. her apartment was $900/month for 400 sq ft. in CA it was more#than twice that for just 300 sq ft. she worked online answering the phone and serving as customer service for several companies.#which meant she could work from anywhere with internet access and a strong cell phone signal.#anyway this rapid change in temperature is making an irritable little shit. 5. Tirthan Valley
“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
Ralph Emerson
Called ‘Himachal’s Best Kept Secret’, Tirthan Valley perched at an altitude of 1600 metres above sea level is the perfect getaway destination blessed with a wealth of nature’s treasure, to be cherished, and the only ease way out for you to do this is to go on a Himachal adventure tour package. It is the perfect placed to be if you are tired from the hustle & bustle of the everyday metro life full of noise and pollution. Named after the pristine Tirthan river, the valley opens the doors to the newly recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site — The Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP), spread over an area of 1100 sq kilometers. It is a paradise for trekkers, offering one of the finest trekking opportunities in the world. Not to forget for bird lovers as well who spend days camping in the heart of this park. For not only an escape from the overcrowded city life, but also an escape from the more-crowded Himachali getaways, it doesn’t get much better than Tirthan.
As already made known that this is a very offbeat destination, least frequented ad ideal for the solitude seekers, hardcore adventurers, and those who just want to do nothing and just be around. Not a very talked-about destination so the only way to express the charms of the nature here is through images that will tempt you to just go for it.
Things To DoRiver Crossing
River crossing in the Tirthan Valley is an adventure sport for people who are looking for some adrenaline rush in the quiet valley. A person is tied to a safety harness and slides from one point to the other, with the turbulent River Tirthan gushing underneath. The icy cold spray of the river while taking on the sport, sure is a motivating factor for enthusiasts
Trekking In The Great Himalayan National Park
The Great Himalayan National Park is a blessing in disguise for nature lovers. From lush green forests to blooming flowers and meandering streams, this place also houses various well laid out trek paths.
Depending on the difficulty level, one has an option to choose from half day, full day, overnight or multiple day camping. Whatever you may opt for, this place does promise a wonderful experience and equally amazing trip.
Serloskar Lake
Serloskar Lake, another major attraction of the village is located about 5 km from Jalori Pass. The lake has clear water which remains so despite of several leaves falling in to it.
The place is better known for its temple devoted to Goddess Budhi Nagin. It is believed that the Goddess has hundred sons and acts as a guardian of the place. The walk to the lake is equally enchanting from Jalori pass, with thick cover of oak trees.
Jalori Pass
Nestled in the peaks of northern Himalayas lies the Jalori mountain pass, an undiscovered beauty located between the prominent towns of Kullu and Shimla. Perhaps one would recognise it better as the snow-covered summit in the Bollywood film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”, where actors Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are seen trekking through the mountainside. With scenic views of the snow-capped Himalayan landscape and the fresh mountain air to surround you, the hike through Jalori Pass has much to offer with exquisite flowers, birds and the environment for a surreal experience.
At a height of 10,800 feet above sea level, the trail through this mountain pass is relatively untouched as a tourist attraction, possibly due to the hype surrounding the roads to reach this pass. And it is completely justified.
Great Himalayan National Park
Great Himalayan National Park is one of India’s national parks, located in the Kullu region of Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded on all the three sides by the Himalayan Mountains, the park is home to diverse wildlife species, is a must on your Himachal tour package itinerary.
The Great Himalayan National Park received the status of a national park in 1999. At present, it is home to more than 375 species of fauna, 31 species of mammals, and 181 species of birds. This beautiful location of the national park becomes all the more attractive due to the Deodar and Oak trees.
The secluded location of the park has made sure that the villages inside the park have a culture of their own. Every village inside has a deity of its own. There are also some fairs organized here during April, May, August, and September. The Great Himalayan National Park is an amazing place to relax and unwind away from the fast life of the city. It is a must-visit for all the nature lovers out there.
Trout Fishing
There couldn’t be a more ideal place for fishing than the crystal clear Tirthan River, a tributary of Beas. Filled with brown and rainbow trouts, this river has over the year become a favorite place among the tourists as an angler spot.
Rock Climbing
Rock climbing is another adventure sport that is undertaken by a lot of travelers while visiting the valley. Many operators have specialized staff who train and assist adventure enthusiasts who are interested in partaking of the sport.
How To Reach

Bounded by strapping mountain slopes, sprawling evergreen forests, and snow-covered peaks, the valley is set apart from others by its red apple orchard and luscious cherry trees, which you can experience firsthand when visiting on your Himachal adventure tour package. Baspa River also makes its way through the place, meandering and gurgling, famous for trout fishing. The place is dotted with several attractions from the temple and fort to nearby villages making it an amazing holiday destination.

Bering Nag Temple
An architectural wonder, this place is a must-visit. It is considered as one of the most important temples for Hindus. This temple is devoted to Lord Jagas.
If you are traveling between the months of August and September, do not miss the famous Fulaich fair celebrated every year.
7. Chitkul
Chitkul is said to be the last inhabited village within the Indian boundaries on the old Indo-Tibetan Road. Situated at the height of 3450 meters, the village is located at a distance of 28 km from Sangla, about 600 kilometers from Delhi in the Kinnaur Valley. It is like a doorway that opens into an exquisite landscape of breathtaking beauty and a serene environment.
There are orchids, mountains, meadows, huge rocks, rivers, jungle, and grasslands in the village with the help of which it has made a unique identity for itself. A drive to the Chitkul village is pleasant. One can go for trekking in the forest as well and a wildlife sanctuary for all the wildlife as well as nature lovers out there.
The journey to Chitkul is an altogether different experience in itself. It is sparsely populated with as many as 600 locals who are warm, loving and extremely hospitable towards the tourists. While traveling to the valley, you will see River Baspa on your right and on the way you will also pass through the Rakcham village which is commonly known as the model village of the region. Numerous campsites are situated within the apple gardens by the side of the Baspa River.
This little village is a must-visit place, and one should stay for at least a day here as the landscape keeps you magnetized all the time. It is a perfect place to spend some time off from the busy lives and the monotonous routines in the realm of natural beauty.
Tibetan Wood Carving Center
A paradise for shopaholics, this place is famous for its Tibetan products made of wood carvings. Once again famous among tourists, the Tibetan Wood carving center has good both on display as well as sale.

Superbat Fic--conclusion
And here we go, the conclusion...
™ Idiots in Love
(One @dcbingo completed.)
Duck, Duck, Goose: part two
The Soulmate Goose of Enforcement…
Why not the Hedgehog Portent of Doom? The Unhelpful Giraffe of Algebra? The...the Ungulate of Awkward Conversation?
About out of steam, Bruce yanked off his third necktie, displeased with all of them, and left his collar open. This was no day to be concerned with four-in-hands or half-windsors. The goose was here. The goose was here, and it was too goddamn late.
He had made peace with it a long time ago. That kind of match, the kind his parents had found, wasn’t in the cards for him. It wasn’t so bad. If Selina...Talia...others weren’t the one, they were still good company, and he had no regrets when he looked back. He’d put the idea from his mind, convinced himself the goose really was an urban myth, one of the more ludicrous ones at that, and had been one hundred percent fine with that.
Right up to the moment Clark Kent appeared on his radar and made that conviction crumble like a sandcastle smashed by a tsunami.
Would anything have changed if the goose had appeared the first time they met? He’d thought about that, later, when Clark was gone and everything involving him was a brutal moot point. Maybe, if the goose had appeared at the gala and gone after Luthor, he and Clark might have bonded over that. He couldn’t see any other opportunity for the goose to have intervened. Later, when Bruce had been blinded by anger, only thirsting to mete out vigilante justice on Superman--later would have been too late.
If it was meant to be, where the hell was the goose when Clark came back? Like it couldn’t have waddled out of the Russian landscape and done its job?
And all right, that may not have been the ideal time, but there had been other opportunities. Half the reason Bruce was at the farm that day, watching the movers unload the truck, watching Clark come over to join him, was because he’d thought this could be it, this could be the time. Even while he admitted to buying the bank, he had kept an eye out for the goose. It was a farm. Farmers raised geese, right, sometimes? When could there ever be a better time for it show up?
There had been chickens scratching in the yard, and as they had all sat on the porch late into the evening Bruce would swear he’d heard a duck quack somewhere nearby. No goose, though. Not one solitary honk in the night.
So that was that. If the goose couldn’t track him down on a farm in Kansas, it wasn’t meant to happen. End of story and back to reality. Wanting Clark--that was reaching far too high. Any idiot could have told him that. The one in the mirror should have known that going in, right from the start.
Clark and Lois--that was the match of the century, any century. And, all right, maybe they were going through a rough patch right now but it would work itself out in the end. Couples broke up and got back together all the time, and they didn’t need a goose to help them get there.
Mind made up to carry on as usual, Bruce grabbed a coat and decided a walk up to the manor would be just the thing to banish these thoughts and the mood that went with them. The restoration was making good progress, and the Justice League headquarters would be good to go soon. That was something real. That was something he could manage and direct.
Alfred was preoccupied with something in the kitchen--looking up how to cook a goose, Bruce hoped--and only nodded to him in passing. There was no sign of the goose, actually, not a feather to be found. Already in a better mood he let himself out of the lake house and set out for the manor at a brisk pace.
It was a good day for a walk. Quiet, with crisp notes of autumn in the air. He didn’t miss the humid heat of summer, and was not looking forward to the bitter cold of winter. These few weeks of autumn, though, were as close to perfect as anything could get. Fallen leaves, crimson and gold, rustled underfoot, and he paused to watch the breeze gather up a batch and whirl them along the footpath. He turned up his coat collar against the chill in that breeze and cast a look at the sky. It was gray and overcast, but any chance of rain was supposed to be remote. His feelings wouldn’t be hurt if it held off indefinitely. Patrolling in a thunderstorm wasn’t one of his favorite things, either.
Picking up his pace, he was in view of the manor now. The constructions workers had cleared off for the weekend, leaving the crane and other equipment behind. Once the restoration was complete, he and Alfred would see to the interior--well, perhaps enlisting some help to speed things along. He couldn’t really see Arthur getting into the spirit of the thing, and Diana would mostly likely appoint herself overseer, but Barry and Victor might like to pitch in. And Clark…
Great: he so did not need that image popping into his head. There it was all the same, his imagination whipping up a picture of Clark, in nothing but skintight jeans and a hardhat, swinging a sledgehammer.
Damn it to hell…
A rustle of dry leaves provided a welcome distraction and he glanced around, trying to isolate the sound, fingers slipping into a pocket of his coat and curling around a batarang. Probably a squirrel or something, he had about decided, muscles relaxing, just as the goose stepped into view and screamed at him.
Officially done with this, Bruce growled, “You want a piece of me? Well bring it on,” as the goose came at him. He flung the batarang at it. It dodged, circled behind him, wings flapping, darting in to bite at his leg. He shook it off, grabbed another batarang. It flew right at him, forcing him to stumble and faceplant in a pile of leaves. He pushed up on his arms, kicked out at the goose as it danced around him, flapping its wings and honking. He didn’t come close to connecting. He rolled away, came up in a crouch, and waved the bird to come at him. “Come on, you bastard, come and get me.” It darted forward, he saw his chance and went for it, and got both arms around it, beak facing away from him as he held it tight against his body. “You’re the Soulmate Goose of Enforcement? Good for you. I’m the goddamn Batman.”
“Bruce? What are you doing?”
Oh for the love of… He looked up to see Clark--Clark, fully clothed, right down to that plaid jacket--walking toward him from the manor. The goose, seizing the moment’s distraction, squirmed free and scooted over to greet Clark with a plaintive honk. Frowning, Clark scooped the goose up into his arms and cradled it to him, soothing its ruffled feathers as he petted it and spoke to it. Bruce had had no idea a goose could look smug, but there was no other description for its expression as it looked over at him right then.
Taking a moment to brush leaves off his coat, and snag the useless batarangs, Bruce shoved his hands in his coat pockets and went over to join Clark--and the goose. “How much did you see?”
“Enough.” Satisfied the goose was unharmed, Clark set it down. It settled down to preen, evidently intent on nothing more than getting every feather back exactly so. “You’ve got twigs in your hair,” he said, reaching over to pluck at them.
Bruce stood still and endured Clark touching his hair, finding a leaf stuck in his collar and removing that as well. He was tempted to say it hadn’t been what it looked like, but he was pretty sure it had looked like he was trying to strangle a goose, so… “Why are you here?”
Head cocked to the side a bit, eyebrows drawn toward each other, Clark contemplated him for a moment before giving those broad shoulders a shrug. “We’re not going to talk about the goose?”
“What do you want to know about the goose?”
Another shrug, then, “Do you have some grievance against geese?”
“I’m fine with geese. They’re delicious.”
Clark and the goose chastised him with a look.
Nothing else happened. Bruce didn’t know why, for just a split second there, he had thought it might. “It was stalking me.”
Clark gave him an unreadable look, unreadable except for a glimmer of something that suggested Bruce might be in need of a trip to Arkham. “Okay,” was all he said, however.
They walked on in silence for awhile--Bruce, Clark, and the goose--and Bruce hoped that meant they were done with the subject. “Did you want something?” he asked as they neared the manor. Ordinarily he didn’t mind Clark just dropping by, but just at this moment it felt a lot like his face was being rubbed in what he could never have.
An unusual diffidence radiated from Clark. It was in his voice, a cautious note, as though he was crossing into dangerous territory. “I wondered if you had plans. Maybe we could,” there was something uncertain in his shrug this time, “have a movie night. Or something.”
A movie night. Or something. Thoughts racing at warp speed, Bruce fought not to let any of it show as he asked, “What about Lois?”
“What about Lois?” Clark stopped and turned to face him, one hand catching him by the shoulder. “Lois broke up with me. I told you that.”
Just to see, Bruce tried to move away. Clark exerted just enough force to keep him there. “You’ll get back together. You’re meant to be with her, Clark.”
“Lois doesn’t think so, and I agree with her, with all her reasons. So does the goose,” Clark finished, jerking his chin at it.
So did the… Bruce shook his head, as though that might jostle things together so they made sense and nobody stood around talking about how a goose concurred with developments. It didn’t work. “Clark, it’s just a goose.” And damn it, he refused to acknowledge it had just rolled its eyes at him.
“It is not just a goose, Bruce. I knew that when it came up to me on the ferry.”
When it-- “You’ve seen it before?”
“Just today, on the ferry. I followed it out here but then it took off.”
“You...know what it is?”
“Believe it or not, we have heard of the Soulmate Goose of Enforcement even in Kansas. I never saw it with Lois, though, and wondered why. Now I know,” he said, brave like Superman now as he looked at Bruce, hope shining in his eyes.
Only a monster would want to crush out that hope, and Bruce found he didn’t have it in him to do that. Not today. He looked at the goose, took in its smug self-satisfaction. “If you’ve fucked this up,” he warned it, “you’re going to be Christmas dinner.”
“Bruce, quit picking on the goose and kiss me.”
“For the last time, I am not picking on the damn goo--” Clark tugged him close and shut him up with a kiss.
Well, that worked, too.
~~~
Taking a moment’s break from chopping wood, Alfred glanced over at the footpath to the manor. Movement caught his eye, and he watched as the goose waddled into view. Passing him, it looked over once as if in acknowledgement, before proceeding on down to the lake.
Alfred watched it drift off, vanishing into the mist rising off the water. Dare he hope? he wondered, holding his breath as he looked back up the path, and letting it out with a soft whoosh of relief as Bruce and Master Kent came into view. As he watched, the two younger gentlemen stopped and Bruce turned to Master Kent--even from this distance, Alfred would swear Bruce was smiling--and drew Master Kent into a rather passionate embrace.
Well. Alfred looked away, struggling to maintain his composure. “Well done, goose, well done,” he murmured, smiling to himself as he gathered up the wood and disappeared back into the house.
This summer is a special one for me, because last summer I was in hospital for most of it and spent the rest of it on steroids and a host of there medications, swollen like a blowfish, and getting better. I am still in the course of treatment, but a long way away from where I was last year, feeling much, much, MUCH better, and planning to live every freaking moment of the summer and beyond. I am not a huge fan of the summer, the heat on my skin, the humidity; Britain has the most humid summers… but I vividly remember myself last year hoping and praying that if I make it out I would live that cliche of living my best life. And I’m trying y’all, I really am.
This summer has been glorious, actual sunshine and heat, hotter than an Indian summer if you’ll believe that and come the first of August we are counting down the days to Autumn zooming right past it to the thick of winter. By the end of August we are talking back to school and back to real life for parents and children and the grind of things. But we have now before then, so let’s plan to live the hell out of the summer and make some good memories that can keep us going till the next summer. As I type this, it is pouring down with rain outside my window, bang in the middle of this blazing summer we have torrential rain and thunder storms but I am not mad at the in the least, we need the rain, farmers need it for the soil to keep feeding us good food in season, we need the rain to clean all the humidity and gunk from the pollution the earth is suffering.
This list is a guideline, if you do one thing on it fabulous. Ten? Grand. All? Fantastic. the aim is to live your best life, (said in my best Oprah voice). So let’s get right on into it shall we?
1. Sleep In: August is heaven for everyone, everywhere, no school in session, family holidays, blissful commute into work because trains are not crowded…it is the perfect month to sleep in and catch up on the hours lost to sleeplessness, work and all nighters. Sleep in and get your energy right on balance, and catch up with your body and reacquaint yourself with her natural rhythm.
2. Let your body wake up naturally: see number 1. Get rid of your alarm clock and let your body wake up to the sound of birds and the rise of the sun. Even if it means going in late for work or missing our on the morning calls. Better still no calls until noon until the summer is over.
3. Read two books: something old and something new. For something old, if you have never read it, read Lucky Chances by Jackie Collins. For something new read an Italian Holiday; a book about four women getting away from the ish of their lives in London and holidaying in Italy. Bonus points; read my book. 😉
4. Have a Day-cation: binge watch some shows on Netflix and Amazon. A couple on Netflix: Luke Cage, Drug Lords, Chef, North & South; okay, more than a couple. Amazon: The Bold Type- I really like this show, it is set around three women working the fashion industry, publishing specifically, and yes the three girls can be annoying and atypical at times but it is a far cry from the Devil Wears Prada, which shows of this ilk tend to slant towards. My favourite character is the Editor In Chief. She’s cool and the type of person I would like to believe exists in the industry. Another show and one of Amazon’s best creation is Bosch- this is my absolute favourite show on Amazon, detective Hieronymous “Harry” Bosch, central character in the dark crime drama set in Los Angeles. Binge watch all four seasons in one day and thank me later.
5. Go to a music concert: I’ll admit I am not a huge fan of concerts, crowds make me anxious and the moment gets lost in the melee. Give me a couch and a big screen TV and I’m good, but its the summer and we are living it up so we are taking our fly selves to a concert, in the Park, or at the Albert Hall or maybe something more low key and free; the ever faithful underground busker… whatever floats your boat just go.
6. Plan a night in Paris: be impetuous, call your girlfriends or go SOLO for a night in Paris if you’re close enough.
7. Do something fun in Paris: a fancy meal at L’Orangerie @ George V perhaps, or afternoon tea @ Le Bristol. Go to a museum, forget the Louvre, D’Orsay is my favourite museum in all of Paris. Be a cliché and have expensive hot chocolate at Cafe de Flore. Walk around and marvel at the astounding beauty that is Jardin du Luxembourg; my favourite place to be in Paris.
8. Return from Paris: with pastries from Pierre Here and spend the evening drinking champagne before bed.
9. See a play in the west end: Its a shame that Baba Segi’s wives is not in theatres anymore, but there is always something on so scroll through timeout or art reviews, pick a small theatre, they normally have good plays and go see it, for the culture and for support. Or if you can get tickets, you should go see Hamilton. It is quite simply the greatest show on earth.
10. Go Clubbing: re-live your youth and party in heels that hurt, a dress that is too short, full face of makeup. Flirt with handsome men, exchange numbers for the night. Jump on the night bus home and stop by the kebab shop before you make it home at six in the morning.
11. Babysit your nieces, nephews and god-children: preferably not right after your wild night out in the club.
12. Throw a fabulous dinner party: for friends and catch up on the good times you had.
13. Get lost in London: it’s a beautiful city to get lost in and no matter how many times you roam it, every corner is a surprise.
14. Picnic in the Park: Hyde Park is so beautiful, so vast, so lovely all year round but nothing beats it in the summer. Grab a picnic basket, bottle of chilled champagne, meats and cheeses, fat strawberries and cream, salads and go chill in the park with your bestest
15. Call an old friend: we all have that one friend we have lost touch with, call them up, check in with an old relative, see how they are doing, and say a prayer for the world.
16. Clean your skirting boards: as a matter of fact, clean the whole house, organise your closet and take excess to charity or give them out to family or friends who want them. Live light and let light in.
17. Organise your christmas holiday plans: have a white Christmas or escape somewhere tropical. Do something fun and unusual this time.
18. Get your low maintenance beauty routine on point: the summer is no time to bother with too much make-up because the humidity will not let you be beautiful and great so fine-tune your best make up, no make up look that won’t be a victim of the humidity. Paint your nails, scrub your feet and moisturise them. I love this foot cream, from Burt’s Bees, 100% moisture all day. Don’t be ashy this summer.
19. Plan your wardrobe ahead: make this the summer you wear the prettiest dresses. If you can, and I know you can, plan all the dresses for the 31 days in August.
20. Spend some time being alone: check yourself into a hotel or stay indoors, order room service, go dine out alone or cook yourself a home-cooked meal… do something for you and all about you, get to know yourself better and enjoy being in your company.
21. Spend time with family: I have an awesome family and we are all scattered around the world but in each other’s lives through phone, texts etc. When you can, drop by your parents’, call your brother, sisters, aunts, uncles… get the barbecue going and enjoy being in the company of loved ones.
22. Go to a quiz night at your local… I know, I know but try it its so much fun
23. Spend a Monday by the sea: away from work and the hustle of every day life
24. Write a short story: it can be about anything you want at all, just carve out sometime and put words down to paper.
25. Take a leap of faith: If its a bad decision, learn from it and move on. Enjoy the rewards of a good decision, pay it forward pass on the good feeling
26. Take a day trip outside of London: a summer’s day punting on River Cam, taking a literary tour of Oxford, or walking the bucolic lanes of the Cotswolds… do something that takes you out of the big smoke.
27. Take a digital detox: nowadays, a lot of things on social media make me so damn mad and I find myself engaging with crazy people but I have cut back on my time online and it has done me a world of good. Social media is both good and dangerous for you, find sometime to be ignorant of the shit that can sometimes go down on there.
28. Go to bed late, wake up later.
29. Eat dessert as a whole meal.
30. Fall in love with your life all over again: Be intentional about this and make sure you love your life. We are all going through things, the world is a shitty place to be sometimes these days but here is the thing; you only have you at night when you look yourself in the mirror. Be intentional with loving yourself. Please.
31. Take it all in: Take care of yourself. Check your breasts, drink lots of water, eat well, eat in season, moisturise at night, exercise however you can, limit your meat consumption, use sunscreen, my sister, use sunscreen.
To the summer of our lives.
31 Days of Summer This summer is a special one for me, because last summer I was in hospital for most of it and spent the rest of it on steroids and a host of there medications, swollen like a blowfish, and getting better.
Tagged by my beloved @wewau 💕
Tagging anyone willing to do it I know I make too many tags but I enjoy talking about myself and you can’t stop me
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SONG(S) TO SING/HUM? I hardly ever remember the titles of the ones that imprint themselves on my thoughts so deeply that I fail to notice when I start humming them, although if I gave it more thought I’d probably come up with top ten pieces for which my brain serves as a vinyl
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE FLOWER/TREE/PLANT? currently a bamboo
FAVOURITE COLOURS? navy and all its shades, bordeaux - the darker and redder kind (how come porto is not a name of a colour? why doesn’t google have it?), b&w
WHAT DO YOU ALWAYS DOODLE? if I actually doodle something it hardly resembles anything of this world other than a tumbleweed - I do it mostly to get my pen going whenever it decides not to write; other than that, complex polylines? and occasionally, if I actually do it on purpose, ellipse flowers (far uglier than the one linked)
HOW DO YOU TAKE YOUR COFFEE/TEA? attention achtung attenzione I haven’t had coffee in about ten months or so, but back when I did I had it black, no milk, no sugar, sometimes a pinch (or a handful) of cinnamon; instead, in the morning I make myself a tea so black and bitter that it’s aftertaste becomes sweet - but I like all kinds of it, that’s just the one that helps me stay awake throughout the day; I drink decaf/ wheat coffee tho, made with nothing but hot water
FAVOURITE CANDLE SCENT? perhaps cinnamon, as much as I love candles I hardly ever buy them
WHAT PERFUME DO YOU WEAR? either YSL la nuit de l’homme l’intense, or guaiac wood and juniper eau de toilette by Yves Rocher, a much fresher, colder scent, straight-out-of-shower one, more appropriate for the spring and summer than aforementioned perfume
WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO DANCE MOVE WHEN YOU’RE ALONE? It’s likely that I do nothing besides accentuating more powerful parts of the song with a conductor-like gesture done mid-air
FAVOURITE QUOTE? “Everything is more beautiful because we are doomed. You will never be more lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again.” Homer, The Iliad
FAVOURITE SELF CARE ROUTINE(S)? Every other day I have a bath, a scrub, a corundum peeling, a pink clay face-mask, plus recently a shilajit one
FUZZY SOCKS OR HOUSE SLIPPERS? fuzzy socks, I don’t even own slippers
WHAT COLOUR ARE YOUR EYES? gunmetal blue
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE EYE COLOUR ON OTHERS? bright piercing blue or the shade of brown that turns honey-golden in sunlight
FAVOURITE SEASON? WHY? it used to be winter, but lately my tolerance for cold has dropped; if I wasn’t allergic I’d say spring, at least the part of it when bugs don’t yet occupy the air; the summer (despite thunderstorms, late sunsets, cooling evenings, ice cream, vivid colours during daytime, cool sunglasses, lemonades with ice, and fruits) is too warm for me not to feel sick for majority of the time, but that’s because in the city where I live there’s almost no wind during it, and humidity makes every trip outside an visit in a sauna; autumn, on the other hand, gives you the opportunity to put on nice boots and a coat, so as long as it’s not raining heavily, and the wind doesn’t try to steal or destroy your umbrella, I’d say it’s my favourite
CHEEK, NECK, OR NOSE KISSES? all the kisses
WHAT DOES YOUR HAPPY PLACE LOOK LIKE? clean air, atmosphere and temperature of a mediterranean section of a palm house, fresh bed sheets to lay in, everything I need and love within my arm’s reach
DO YOU EVER WANT TO BE MARRIED? IF SO, WHAT COLORS WOULD YOU PICK FOR YOUR WEDDING THEME? @wewau‘s description was good enough
CURSIVE OR PRINT? cursive, but don’t make me read my own at its worst when I write in hurry - I’d choose print if the question was strictly about what I’d rather read
FAVOURITE WEATHER? when the wind is there, but doesn’t ruin your hair; during the day the clouds only make the sunlight dimmer and sunglasses are optional, but not necessary; it’s worm enough to show your ankles, but not enough for leather shoes to be off the list; without a light coat, a blazer or a jacket you can feel the chill on your skin, but that doesn’t stop you from rolling up the sleeves of a shirt you are wearing
Bonfires: Do you prefer going out or staying in on a fall evening?
depends on the type of evening! if it’s a brisk kind of cold, i love to go out. but if it’s rainy and i’m sleepy and haven’t been having time to read much, i’m staying in, no question.
Boots: Favorite pair of shoes/boots you own?
i love my black booties! they’re lace-up with a really cool velcro buckle and spikes on the ankles, plus they’re wedges. they are My Party Shoes and YES i almost broke my neck in them last satruday and YES it took three people to get them off of me that night HOWEVER they are so worth it they’re adorable and i never used to wear them in high school??? why??? !!!!
(and then my roommate yells at me lol)
Caramel Apples: Favorite Halloween candy?
Cozy blankets: where do you feel the most safe and at home?
probably my living room back home, i used to always curl up on the couch where there’s the most light with a book and a blanket and just exist knowing my family was somewhere close, and i could look out the window and see the world outside. by the time i left for college i slept out there more than i did in my own bed tbh. at college tho, i definitely feel happiest in the hall lounge (my hall is so codependent and cute i love us) b/c there’s always someone to talk to or cuddle with or just exist with, too. so it’s kind of the same deal as what i needed back home.
3) jeans
Fuzzy Socks: How do you spend a night in in the fall?
quietly and with lots of tea and music and coziness, preferably
Haunted houses: what’s your scariest memory? (if you don’t have one/ don’t want to talk about it, what’s your biggest fear?)
my biggest fear is spiders or anything crawling inside me tbh
BEAM ME UP SCOTTY
Hot Chocolate: How do you make/order your hot chocolate?
honestly i love nestle’s hot chocolate mix even though it is Tasteless AF but hey
Holding hands: do you believe in soulmates?
i believe there are people in our lives that we are meant to meet for some reason, but i don’t believe there is only One Person Out There who’s the Only Person You Need, bc that’s kind of :////
Hot tea: when was the last time you kissed someone (if you haven’t had your first kiss, who would you like that first someone to be?)
this one i just bought like last weekend!! it was a very hungover purchase tbh!! but it’s gray/white/maroon and it has a hood and it’s HUGE like 3 sizes too big and i wear it as a dress and it’s so cute and honestly it’s the softest thing ever on the inside
Scarves: What’s your favorite album to listen to in the fall?
anything by the 1975, anything by wolf alice, anything by keaton henson, screentime by addie pray - i have The Chillest autumn playlist on spotify tbh
Scarves: if you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life what would it be?
