Castiel has been directed by some hand of his Father to be here. He knows this. He knows it would be wrong to leave. And he knows there is something here for him. But an Omega auction house isn't anyplace the Angel of the Lord would have expected himself to be. Especially kneeling in front of this bruised, battered, green-eyed Omega who is looking everywhere but him. But the hand of his Father continues to tug, to pull him in the direction of this strange, sad-looking Omega. . . Oh boy.

Of course there's a reason why Castiel felt that tug. He might be an angel, but he is certainly not impervious to human biology, nor to fate. However, while in most stories we find a sort of friendly Cas who is only eager to help, things are a bit different here, making things really interesting and adding that spike of angst to the story. But worry not, he is quick to realize the error of his ways, not allowing himself to be driven by his upbringing. The way Dean is portrayed in this story is so deep, so heavy that one can almost feel it. It's like his inner omega could sense there is more to Castiel (and I am not talking about the guy being an angel). It is driving Dean to do these things he wouldn't normally do and it makes one excited to see the outcome. The attention to some details is poetic, and so is the way their relationship slowly develops. Cas seems uncertain of what he is to do and how he is to act, and Dean I a bit confused, but still so wary of him while also feeling so drawn. Still, there are moments when Castiel relapses to what he's been taught and then there are moments when Dean regresses to his slave persona. It's not like someone just flipped a switch and they are trauma-free now, no. It's definitely a process. And while there is some background plot, and an amazing brother Lucifer in the mix, this story is centered on emotional and mental growth as well as overcoming one's fears and the confines that the society enforces. Lastly, I leave you with a quote from the story that impacted me the most. We all need a Castiel in our lives.

"You are a person, no matter what gender or species. You're special, just like everyone else in their own way." Dean's eyes filled with tears again. "I d-don't understand." Castiel smiled sadly. "You don't yet. But you will," he promised. "I'll show you."

Its beautifully written, has most of my fav tropes in and beautiful portrayals of Teddy and Harry. Like it hits every box in my Wolfstar obsessed heart and the writer wont know. Ive read this fic 13 times this year alone, it that precious to me and my comfort fic, plus it has these guys in it!

But I can assure you, this fic deserves all the love & recognition it has received. It's such an original concept and the writing, setting and references are amazing and beautiful. I don't want to give anything away but it goes without saying that this is a must-read for anyone looking for SquidBob/SBSP fics! 💖

So yes, this is a self-rec. 🤡✍️ However, I felt it was warranted to include here as it's an unofficial sequel to the fic above. When I wrote this, I was very inspired to explore some of the themes the first fic left open-ended while creating another unique story for folks to enjoy. While the original fic is an absolute classic and I'm sure you'll love it, I'm very confident that you will enjoy this one as well if you've read that one. 😊

So this fic was super cute to read! There were lots of memorable moments and romantic tension. Tbh, I'm not typically a fan of NSFW fics for SBSP, but if I had to rec one, this fic would be it. If you're cool with that, great. If that's not your thing, no worries! That part happens towards the end anyway so you will not be missing out on the meat of the story if you decide to skip that part (though even that was well-written). The author does a good job building up to it so it flows naturally and you can see it coming.

Another one from this author because I love their work. 😊 It's a separate one-shot from her longer fic, but it's still worth the read. I love the idea of them "secretly" dating but then everyone kinda knowing the whole time and being super supportive about it. 🥰

Ahh SquidBob jellyfishing escapades! If you're looking for a slice-of-life, short & sweet fic, this one is a great option. The writing style was a plus in my book.

Super short & sweet Christmas fic, but it warmed my heart the first time I read it. Realization of feelings are the best! Will note that the author has orphaned the work, so I'm not sure if they've written anything else.

A fic can be listed under anonymous for a multitude of reasons, for me as I've explained in a previous ask, it was simply because I wanted to keep my dsmp works separate from my main account out of personal preference

I Asked For a Monster and my other fics are not discontinued.

The reason I haven't updated anything in awhile is simply because I'm a person who has other things going on and don't always have the time/motivation/energy etc to work on fics

As a side note I'll also add that a normal part of ao3 is that fics sometimes don't update for weeks/months/years at a time. This doesn't mean they're discontinued, just that people get busy

She teams up with reluctant-and-secret-super fan Cassian to solve the murders. They get on eachother’s last nerve in the best way. It’s freakin great. I wish there was a sequel. One SMALL SPOILER below the cut. 

Unfortunately the UST remains unresolved, which didn’t bother me as much as I thought at would, but still I figured I’d just get it out there for those who prefer it to be.

Come Down From Your Holy Mountain by Jotunblood- Rated M-WIP-There aren’t a lot of fics where Anakin survives Mustafar that I’m a big fan of but this one is the ultimate exception.The characterization is so well done for both Obi and Anakin and it’s one of those redemption arcs I’ve been rooting for from chapter one.Jotun’s world building is spectacular and the core of the story revolves around a rag tag group of surviving Jedi who are fighting to take down baddies hunting remaining Jedi and black market dealers who are taking advantage of the fallen Jedi Order.It’s been a glorious slow burn to even get to enemies to tolerating being in the same room with one another,and it’s a rare gem where I’m as invested for the side characters as I am the obikin plot.

Master Mine by Little_tales- Rated E-The unst in this fic is just delightful and I am a shameless whore for de-aged Obi-Wan.Young Ewan McGregor?Fuck yes!Honestly the majority of this fic is just Anakin beside himself with lust and possession over Obi-Wan who he has taken as his padawan.Also Obi-Wan’s angst is superb.It’s really just a lot of fun to read and it’s one of my favorite fics for tension.

Symposium by Intermundia-Rated E-This was a recent one that came out of left field that left me absolutely reeling.It’s possibly my favorite execution I’ve seen of taking gleeful advantage of a created alien planet and culture, where the author reenacts Plato’s Symposium.As a historian this took me by the throat with delight just from that intro,but the fic is also filled with wonderful dialogue,a fresh iteration of alien aphrodisiac/sex pollen,and some truly superb mental suffering on Obi-Wan’s part.Anakin is a joyous bumbling bright light that is so fun to read,until the two finally give in for a wonderfully steamy encounter that had me squealing from the soft dom/beside himself with want vibes the two exhibited.

Within Limits by orphaned_account-Rated E-I love and I mean love obikin stories that center around Anakin and Obi-Wan in the field and surrounded by the 501st and 212th.Anything military-centric is my absolute jam and has my undying love.This is a fun shorter piece that takes place on a far outer rim planet where the GAR are dug in and utterly miserable in their entrenchments and caught under horrid and constant rain.It’s a super fun setting and the author does an excellent job going into the mundane realities of a situation straight out of the original Clone Wars series.Anakin is truly ridiculous in this one,and it’s just an all around delight.

Equinox by Lilyconrad-Rated E-Another top notch example of an author creating their own original planet/alien culture.This is of course one of the biggest ones in the fandom but damn if it doesn’t just hit all my buttons.Sith Obi-Wan and Anakin + mystery + dom/sub content + brilliant characterization,it’s just a 10/10 delight from first to last word.It’s sequel has equally had me by the throat and I am just so weak for all of its tropes.

Bound Up With You by DreamingMoonlight-Rated E-Can ya’ll tell I live for dom/sub vibes?Anakin is just so gloriously beside himself with want in this one and Obi-Wan is such a wonderful soft dom who knows how to push Anakin and help him control the raging storm inside of him.Also bondage???Hello there is not enough of this for this pairing and Lumi fucking gets me.

The Only One With Eyes by Catchclaw-Rated M-This is possibly the only exception to my dislike for Earth settings for obikin.The writing is just so gorgeous and melodic and the whole fic is just so terribly romantic and full of artistic pining and drama.I think this is the one I genuinely teared up from how gorgeous and besotted the whole story is.

The World Undone by Lilyconrad-Rated M-Another big name in the fandom that all of you have probably already read but God do I love Sith Obi-Wan,it’s just so terribly fun and sexy to read.The slow mystery the reader gets to unfold step by step through this story is also super fun.Honestly Wicked Thing permanently altered by brain and seduction by Sith Obi-Wan will always be close to my heart.

Home by Little_tales-Rated E-Contrary to pretty much everyone else’s preferences in this fandom,I’m not huge on time travel fics,simply because I find the dynamic hard to wrangle or difficult to accept as a reader.This fic is just so fun though and quite different from most other ones I have read.I love a good possessive Obi-Wan when it’s written right and Anakin is just so shameless and funny to read in this one.The last quarter of this fic was also such a fun surprise and has some of my absolute favorite Mace Windu/Anakin interactions I’ve read.

 Needing Attention by DreamingMoonlight-Rated E-Another glorious pwp where Anakin is just an absolute wreck and Obi-Wan soft doms the shit out of him.This is my jam guys,and it will always grab my attention and Lumi does it so extremely well.

The Krayt Dragon of Tattooine by Luzifersboyfriend-Rated M-WIP-Honestly half of this list is exceptions to prompts or ideas I don’t generally go after but are so well done I love them,not in spite of it, but because of that.I’m not big on slave Anakin because the tendency is that Anakin is timid or restricted as a character in those arcs,oh but in this fic Anakin literally shines.It’s a really interesting take on Anakin as a character in a situation where he shouldn’t be in control or feel powerful,but he totally does and it’s enthralling and sexy to read.Obi-Wan’s character in this is so fun as well,and I’m hoping desperately that the fic hasn’t been abandoned.

These are honestly just a handful of my favorites but I’m literally the worst at bookmarking things and I know I’m forgetting quite a few.At some point in the hopefully near future I’m going to start an official rec page for my blog but until then we all get to suffer equally.

This is sad and... kinda selfish? Like, I get it’s her work but a LOT of people loved those stories, and they were finished too ! Why the hell would someone rip away something others treasure just because “I could do better” when so many people loved what they already made (bc it’s not like they are replacing it with a “reworked” version anytime soon)? It’s... cruel, I absolutely don’t get it at all. Btw if someone simply wants to “move on” they can very well just abandon their profile and never log back in, or even give their work to orphaned_account, still letting people who loved their stories go back to read them and share the experience with new readers, who now will never get the chance to enjoy something that for many was of high value and worth sharing for sure. 

Moreover, I bet there are a lot of readers with saved pdf who will continue to share it with few lucky people, so this only creates unbalance and trust issues, and it also breaks people’s hearts. For literally no reason at all.

Ps: this is also a special case because I actually think that the Haunted serie was so good that it really had a great influence on the fandom, it helped it grow and become better, so it should be preserved as a cultural treasure. I’m just sad, and confused. I wish all the good in the world to pen but I really feel broken and a bit betrayed by my favorite author.

Hey everyone! I know I’ve been neglecting this blog (I’ve been distracted by other fandoms and IRL and such, sorry about that), but in response to several queries about ObsidianPen and her fics, I’m posting a message from her.

Hello, ObsidianPen here. I’m responding via the lovely kyrilu as I’ve been informed that a lot of people are leaving ‘ask’ submissions on the Tomarry page about me and my fics – particularly ‘Hauntingly’ and the ‘Haunted and Hunted’ series as a whole. I took them down, as well as several others, because I wasn’t happy with them. No one ‘bullied’ me into doing so, I did that myself. The same goes for why I deleted my OP Tumblr page. No one did anything to make me feel bad or anything like that; I simply didn’t want to have it anymore. I was finding it very distracting and am trying to focus completely on my real life. Which doesn’t revolve around fanfiction, sadly enough.

So, while I’m sorry many of you are disappointed that I took some of my stories down, I hope you realize that it’s my work and my choice… and I do think most of you do appreciate this. I wasn’t happy with the quality of writing. I could do better. Maybe someday I will rework some of them.
