Chain of Command by Mod MBD on @imagineclaireandjamie - Claire is a servant in the Fraser’s home, but Brian and Ellen do take a hand in raising her.

Forget Me Not by melodyheart - Modern AU where Claire was raised by Brian and Ellen.

Guardian Scotsman by @writtenthroughtime - Not exactly what you described, but along the same vein; Claire comes through the stones as a child and is found and taken in by Murtagh.

To Love You Always by @lallybrochloser​ - Jamie and Claire are born six months apart, and Claire eventually is taken in by the Fraser family after the death of her parents.

I have been doing a bit of catching up on some fics lately. Motherhood will do that to you! Here are some of my favorites and some that I have had the pleasure of reading recently. 

As Yet Unread by Mod MBD for @imagineclaireandjamie

This was the first Modern AU fic that I ever read when I first started reading Outlander fanfiction. It was the first time that I saw these characters in a completely different setting. It not only rekindled my love for fanfiction in general but also lead me to where I am today - reading, writing and loving everything Outlander Fanfiction related!

Broken Crown by @kalendraashtar

I have to admit when I first came across this fic I didn’t know what to expect. It didn’t take long for me to get wrapped up in the world that @kalendraashtarcreated in this fic! Spy!Claire for the win!

Brave Enough to Love You by @laythornmuse

What can I say, I am a sucker for any story that keeps our Jamie and Claire in the 18th century but gives them a different set of circumstances. This story has such an original plotline and I can’t wait for the next update!

I was wondering if you guys had any Victorian AU's to recommend? I read a one shot recently where Claire was an orphaned society girl taken in by the Randall's and she went to Jamie to propose marriage to avoid being forced to marry Frank, and I was interested in seeing if there were any more Victorian AU's (not specifically like that one, just in general lol). Hello Lallybroch folk! My first request for your services... A few months ago I stumbled upon the first couple of chapters of a promising story. As I recall Jamie lives in modern setting and is on the run from the law (perhaps, he is on his way home to Lallybroch) when his vehicle breaks down. He escapes on foot and accidentally passes through the stones to 18th century and is collected and treated by Claire, a known healer, in her nearby cottage where she lives alone. Thanks in advance!
