tease || König
pairing → König x Reader
summary → Sparring with König truly brings out the worst side in you. You can’t focus on anything but the massive crush you have on the giant soldier, teasing him and flirting with him just to make him blush deeply while trying his best to ignore your words and fleeting touches. Until he confronts you about it and gives you a taste of your own medicine.
warnings → suggestive but no real smut, König being a little shit but also an absolute sweetheart, no descriptions or pronouns used for the reader, no y/n used
author’s note → I just wanted to write something about König pinning Reader to the ground while training and Reader having one last trick up their sleeve, and voilà, here we are! Hope you enjoy this little story!
word count → 4.2k
Tumblr media
“Ready?”
You grinned up at König standing a few feet away from you, your hands raised in front of you and your legs positioned in a fighting stance, giddy excitement cursing through your veins.
“Ready,” you replied with a mischievous spark in your eyes, trying to concentrate on the fight you had just agreed to but feeling your self-control slipping already. Sparring with König truly brought out the worst side in you. You were inattentive, your footwork sloppy at best, and your punches and blocks nothing short of absolutely laughable. Had there been anyone else with you in the gym you would be thoroughly ashamed of yourself, but with König, you couldn’t bring yourself to care much about it, too distracted by your massive crush on the giant soldier. You were just glad that he knew you were a well-trained and focused fighter, taking yourself and your job as a soldier and sniper seriously, and that he had already seen what you were capable of and respected you for it. But in recent sparring sessions with him, you had been far from the best and strongest version of yourself you were trained to be.
Still, you couldn’t really blame yourself for it. Being alone with König in the gym of the military base you two were currently stationed on was just too exciting for you, seeing the otherwise silent and closed-off man completely relax in your presence, going along with your silly jokes and making you laugh in return with something he said, even trusting you enough to eventually take off the thick sniper hood around you and only you.
It had taken a while to get to where you two were now, König had needed time and encouragement you had been more than willing to give him to warm up and become close to you, and even more to agree to train with you without holding back (too much). But it had all been worth it because you had the privilege to get to know this gentle giant for who he really was, the two of you now being closer than anyone else on the base, much to your delight and all of your teammates’ dismay.
You obviously hadn’t planned on developing these feelings for the Austrian at all, but after spending so much of your time on base and later even during missions with him, talking to him until late in the night while watching the stars together or keeping him updated about the situation on the ground via radio from your elevated position on a rooftop and throwing in a few of your inside jokes, hearing him trying to suppress a chuckle—you had fallen hopelessly in love with him.
However, you had quickly decided that all of this was none of König’s business at all, even though everyone on the base knew how you felt about him except for him. Not because you were too scared to confess your feelings to him and terrified of a rejection, no, it was only because you were an excellent soldier who knew to keep their private life out of their professional one—and because there were more than a few people breathing down your neck who would have both your head and his if you started to openly date a KorTac contractor.
“You’re not focusing.”
König’s voice suddenly snapped you out of your thoughts and without another warning you ungracefully landed on your back, the old mats on the floor of the gym softening your landing only minimally and you groaned in pain—but figured you only deserved this for your inattentiveness.
You gave your training partner an apologetic look from below, only then realizing what position you were currently in, your cheeks immediately heating up. König had you pinned to the ground, one of his large hands holding both of your wrists above your head while his massive body hovered above you, not giving you even the slightest chance to break out of his grip. He had you completely at his mercy.
And you couldn’t find it in you to complain about that at all. If anything, you were very excited about your current position, feeling flustered and giddy while grinning up at him. But it wasn’t only your little crush on him that had you acting this way, it was also the fact that König felt comfortable enough to spar with you like this, to leave his hood and most of his anxieties behind once he was alone with you, showing you a side of him that you liked to think was only reserved for you.
The König from a few months ago definitely would have panicked after throwing you to the ground and keeping you in a position like this and not smugly smiled down at you like the König that was currently on top of you.
And while you could wholeheartedly accept your defeat against him, you still liked winning—and messing with him—a little too much to just surrender without any fight at all.
Without warning, you swiftly hooked your legs around his waist and pulled him down while arching your back up as best as you could, pressing your whole body against his with a coy smile, your face now only inches away from his.
König’s eyes widened in surprise and, as you had expected, he was too flustered to react fast enough and stop you when you used all your strength to break out of his hold and flip the two of you over on the mat, now straddling his hips and impishly grinning down on him.
With your hands braced on his broad chest you leaned forward, reveling in the dumbfounded expression on König’s face before giving him a wink and playfully rolling your hips on top of him, even biting your lip for good measure.
“As much as I like being under you, this is also a great position, don’t you think?”
Your voice almost sounded like a purr and your mind promptly wandered to more explicit activities you would like to indulge in with König right now, the ones that would allow you to finally confirm your suspicion that every part of him was as big as the rest of the man.
You chuckled when you felt him shuddering underneath you, his face and the tips of his ears bright red, not looking as comfortable with your current position as you were. It felt intoxicating to be in control of this massive man, having him at your mercy even if it was just for a few moments, but you knew not to take it too far, knew when to stop. You valued König’s company and trust far too much to push the boundaries of your friendship to their breaking point just because you couldn’t control yourself and let your intrusive and embarrassingly horny thoughts win.
“Sorry, big guy,” you apologetically smiled down at him and straightened up, finally letting him have his well-earned victory. “I’ll stop now.”
You moved to get off of him and stand up, mentally already preparing for another round of sparring which you would take a lot more seriously than the first one, when König’s big hands unexpectedly grabbed your hips and held you in place, startling you to complete stillness. You raised an eyebrow at him in question, trying to ignore the burning sensation of his calloused fingers on your bare skin where your t-shirt had ridden up slightly, searching for his gaze, your heart beating wildly in your chest because of this simple touch.
But König resolutely refused to look at you, his face turned away from you while his hands still held onto you, keeping you firmly in place. Confused, you watched his Adam’s apple rising and falling in his throat before he attempted to speak, his voice too composed for your liking when he did.
“Do you just act like that for fun? To tease me? Or is there more to it?”
You could only stare down at him, not having expected him to call you out that, your heart leaping into your throat and suddenly feeling very shy, a nervous laugh tumbling from your lips.
“What do you mean?” you asked innocently, deciding that playing dumb would somehow be your best bet to get you out of this conversation, your fingers fiddling with the hem of your shirt.
König sighed and risked a fleeting glance at you, his fingers involuntarily tightening on your hips, drawing your attention back to him.
“Don’t do that, please. I just want to know—When you say something like you just did, I never know if you’re being serious or not. If there is some truth behind your words or if you just like messing with me.”
“König, I—,” you began without actually knowing what you wanted to say to him, so you snapped your mouth shut, guiltily looking to the side. You took a deep breath, trying to calm your frantic heartbeat and racing thoughts, desperately searching for the right words to defuse this situation without revealing your true feelings for König and potentially ruining your friendship with him, all while awkwardly squirming on his lap.
You eventually settled for an uneasy little laugh that got halfway stuck in your throat because of the lump that had formed there, ashamed of your own behavior.
Gingerly, your eyes darted to König’s only to find him looking up at you already. There was a pleading look in his eyes, a vulnerability to him you had never seen before and it pierced the core of your very being, asking, begging you for nothing less than the truth.
Your voice was quiet when you spoke up again, faltering slightly but you tried to hide it with a lighthearted chuckle, convincing neither him nor you.
“I do like messing with you, but I’m not just teasing. It’s so much more than that.”
You knew this wasn’t nearly enough, having to hide your face behind your hands for a few moments to collect your thoughts, feeling how heated your cheeks were, not having planned on confessing to him anytime soon—if ever. But with the way he was looking at you now—hopefully, anxiously, imploringly—every emotion he felt clearly displayed on his features, you needed to tell him. He had that effect on you, you had realized early on in your friendship, always getting the truth out of you with nothing but a pleading look in those blue eyes of his. You could never get away with vague answers or little white lies, in the end he would always know your innermost thoughts, your wildest dreams and worst fears, the most hidden parts of your soul.
And now he would know the last piece of yourself you had kept a secret from him—that your feelings for him long exceeded those appropriate for a friendship.
You braced yourself against König’s chest again, his heart beating quickly underneath the palm of your hand, matching the rhythm of your own, preparing yourself for your next words—for the truth.
“I liked you from the moment I saw you, when you walked into the base behind all the other KorTac contractors, literally towering over everyone else. You weren’t really looking at anyone and people seemed to avoid you just as much as you avoided them, but I just wanted to get to know you. And then we started to spend more and more time together, talking in the kitchen and outside in the yard at night and I guess—I just fell for you at one point.”
You forced yourself to keep going, your eyes looking anywhere but at him, nails digging slightly into the hard planes of his chest as you revealed the last fragment of yourself to him.
“And I can’t stop thinking about you, it’s so embarrassing! You’re the first thing on my mind when I wake up in the morning, wondering what you are up to that day, if you’re free to spend some time with me, and the last thing when I go to sleep, probably even dreaming about you. I even tried learning some German just to impress you, but I didn’t get very far with that at all. And my teammates are teasing me endlessly about you, I don’t think they know how to have a conversation with me anymore without mentioning you just so I can embarrass myself in front of them.”
Then you casually shrugged, acting like you hadn’t just lay bare your heart before König, your eyes looking everywhere but him, adding with a wonky smirk,
“You have no idea how often I thought about just grabbing your stupid face and kissing you when you have me pinned down under you while we’re training here.”
There was a deafening silence weighing down on you now that you weren’t rambling anymore and you hoped there was a sniper out there somewhere, training their rifle at you and being merciful enough to put you out of your misery, nowhere near brave enough to handle however König might react to your confession.
You yelped in surprise and confusion when suddenly your world was turned upside down, your back colliding with the mat again, but it wasn’t thanks to your imaginary sniper who saved you from having to deal with the consequences of your own actions.
König was hovering over you as he had earlier, trapping you underneath him, his eyes boring into yours with smug confidence playing on his features that you had never seen there before. His large hands were braced on either side of your head and his waist fitted perfectly in the space between your open legs.
Your breath got caught in your throat as you looked up at him with wide eyes, watching him lean down to you with a smirk on his scarred lips before whispering in your ear, his breath warm against your skin,
“How about you stop teasing then and actually put your words into action, hm?”
His low voice sent an electrifying shiver down your spine, your lips parting slightly without any sound leaving them, still staring up at him, his eyes dark and intense. A slow grin began to form on your lips when his words fully registered in your flustered mind, your heart slamming against your ribcage in anticipation at this turn of events, a wave of pure relief washing over you that almost made you tear up if it weren’t for that devilish sparkle in his eyes.
Your favorite Austrian seemed to be full of surprises today. If you had known your feelings would be reciprocated this eagerly, you might have considered confessing to him sooner—after having some more fun messing with him of course. But even in your wildest dreams you wouldn’t have expected this reaction, it was better than anything you could have ever hoped for, and you were impatient to get to know this new side of him—intimately.
König raised an eyebrow at you, the cocky smirk still plastered on his face, challenging you to make your move, his newfound confidence not faltering at the lack of an immediate reaction from you.
You mirrored his expression, more than willing to join his little game, and slowly pushed yourself up on your elbows, leaning closer to him, your eyes falling to his lips before returning to his eyes, your stomach doing a delighted flip at the hungry look you found in them. But as you moved forward, he started to back away, your breath mingling in the space between the two of you but still entirely out of reach. You shot him a dirty look, your nails digging into the material of the mat underneath you but playing along despite your annoyance, chasing after him. The smirk on his face grew even wider, stretching the scar that ran across his mouth, tempting you to press your lips to it and trace it with your tongue.
The amused chuckle coming from König made you furious, but still you followed his movements when he suddenly pushed against your shoulder, gently pinning you to the floor again but using enough strength to hold you in place. You glared up at him, the look in your eyes nothing short of lethal but König wasn’t fazed by that in the slightest, towering over you in smug patience.
You pushed against his chest, more forcefully than you had intended to but he didn’t budge at all, just watching you in mock sympathy at your attempt to get him to move in any direction at all until he eventually decided to have mercy on you.
With his hand still on your shoulder König leaned down to you, your eyes instinctively falling closed when his lips were mere inches from yours, almost touching but not quite. His warm breath fanned across your face, a sigh falling from your lips when his scarred ones brushed against yours lightly, before finally—
Finally—
“Not so fun being teased all the time, is it?”
Your eyes snapped open in disbelief, wanting to scream in frustration, this close to ramming your knee somewhere very painful for him, but you controlled yourself, snarling angrily at him instead.
“Just fucking kiss me already, you complete ass—!”
Your cursing was abruptly cut off by König pressing his lips to yours firmly, kissing you deeply, desperately, pouring all of his frustrations and worries and hopes into the kiss, making you gasp in surprise. You couldn’t do anything but follow his lead, returning the kiss just as impatiently, your mind blanking when his tongue brushed against yours. The whine that rose in your throat as a large and calloused hand cupped your jaw and tilted your head back would have embarrassed you at any other time, but right now you couldn’t bring yourself to care about it, too lost in the sensation of König’s lips on yours. Your fingers threaded into his soft hair and pulled, making him groan deeply in delight, and you thought that you could probably die happy now, hearing him make a sound like that against your lips.
You hooked your legs around his waist again, this time only to pull him against you and hold him close, encouraging him to keep going, to never stop kissing you like that, touching you like that, without hesitation or doubt but with complete trust and devotion, worship even. You had never felt as cherished in your life as you did at this moment, lying on the old mats in the gym of a military base, König’s weight on top of you, kissing you like you were the most precious thing in the world, the very center of his universe.
And to him, you were.
You parted from each other panting heavily, your chests rising and falling quickly from the intensity of the kiss, both speechless and overwhelmed by it.
Then your face lit up with a bright smile and König mirrored your expression, a shaky breath leaving him, his cheeks a lovely shade of red while looking more than pleased with himself, not hesitating to steal one or two more breathtakingly sweet kisses from you. His blue eyes were still darker than you were used to, but there was a tenderness to them that made your heart arch in the best way possible, a silent vow of his affection for you, something that he couldn’t yet express with words.
“I deserved that, didn’t I?” you joked after a long and dramatic sigh, watching König chuckle in amusement, the sound making you feel warm and light, a contented smile on your lips, still tingling from his kisses.
“You did.”
You rolled your eyes at him but mouthed a sincere “sorry”, watching him dismiss it with an easy smile and a small shake of his head. He covered your hand that was gently caressing his jaw with his larger one and brought it to his lips, kissing your palm, a look of pure adoration on his face.
You fought the urge to hide your face in his neck, a sudden wave of emotions rolling over you, burying you under it and the only way you knew how to survive it without drowning was to pull König closer to you by the collar of his shirt and kissing him passionately, clinging to him like he was the only thing that would keep you alive. He let you have control of the kiss, let your nails dig into his shoulder and the fingers of your other hand pull on his hair, let you show him just how desperate you were for him.
You pressed even closer to him, your whole body covered by his massive one as your kisses got more heated, your hips rolling against his muscular thigh that had ended up between your legs, the delicious friction against your center making you moan in pure bliss.
You were rewarded for it with a deep groan coming from König before he, disheveled and out of breath, untangled himself from you just enough to speak, desire making his voice sound rough and breathless.
“If you thought about this happening so much, did you also imagine what happens next?”
You smiled at your gentle giant, lovingly tracing a faint scar on the side of his face with your finger, noting how he leaned even into the slightest of touches from you, wanting to savor the feeling of your soft skin on his. His question made you muse about how stunned you had been by this uncharacteristic display of confidence and boldness from him, how easily he had toyed with you before giving in to what both of you had wanted for a long time now it seemed, but that underneath it all he still needed some reassurance, clear affirmations to calm his overthinking and anxious mind, tormenting him even after what had happened between the two of you already.
“Oh, you bet I did,” you grinned mischievously, your voice turning sultry, but you couldn’t completely hide your amusement from it. “At night in my bed when I felt especially… lonely.”
You watched König swallow at your words and the intensity of his eyes burning into yours told you just how intrigued he was by what you would say next.
“And what did you think about then?”
You tapped one finger to his nose playfully, your grin only growing wider.
“Mostly you taking me right here on the floor until I can’t even remember my own name and have trouble walking in the morning.”
You paused for the dramatic effect, letting your words sink in for a few moments before adding with an easy laugh, “But we should probably relocate that part to somewhere more private than here.”
At that König’s head snapped up abruptly, looking around the room frantically as if he had only now remembered that the two of you were still in the middle of the gym, his eyes widening in shock, a cold wave of anxiety and horror crashing into him at the thought that anybody could’ve walked in on you just now.
Without a word he got to his knees and scooped you into his strong arms, making you squeal in surprise, before standing up from the floor and heading to the door, your arms quickly coming around his shoulders and clinging to him. He carefully peeked into the hallway outside of the gym, looking left and right before deeming the coast clear, not wasting any more time to get to the nearest room that would grant you some much-needed privacy, namely your own quarters on the base.
You couldn’t help but laugh at his antics, surprised that König hadn’t just thrown you over his shoulder and he gave you a boyish grin, his cheeks glowing with a pretty blush. His feet knew the way even without having to look ahead from how often he had accompanied you to your room after your training sessions, just to have a little more time with you, wishing you a good night before parting, his hand casually brushing yours, making his skin tingle pleasantly until he fell into his own bed, your lovely smile and the sound of your laughter following him into his dreams.
When the two of you had made it to your room without any difficulties König gently laid you down on your bed and in an instant he was on top of you again, wasting no time to continue exactly where you had left off in the gym, large and callused hands now slipping under your clothing, exploring soft and heated skin, squeezing and tickling and driving you wild with want and desire.
But between impatiently undressing each other and kissing and worshipping every new inch of scarred and soft skin that was revealed, absolutely desperate for what was about to come, you silently swore to yourself that you would get your sweet, sweet revenge on him for how he had played with you, strung you along, deprived you. You would make this massive soldier writhe under you, maybe while struggling against some restraints, begging you to have mercy on him while you would take all the time you needed to make him cry in blissful frustration before giving him everything he wanted and more until the only thing he would remember was your name.
But that would have to wait for another time, impatient to finally turn all those fantasies of your lonely nights into a reality with him.

Storm Boris devastates Central Europe, death toll rises
Storm Boris caused widespread destruction in Central and Eastern Europe, killing at least 15 people. The storm swept across Romania, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, southern Germany and parts of Austria, causing heavy rain, flooding and strong wind gusts.
Romania
In Galati county in eastern Romania, the hardest-hit region of the country, heavy rains caused widespread damage, affecting about 5,000 homes and leaving at least 25,000 people without electricity.
Romania’s emergency department confirmed the discovery of six bodies, including three elderly women and one man over the past two days.
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis deplored the situation, saying:
“We are again facing the effects of climate change, which are increasingly present on the European continent, with dramatic consequences.”
Rescue teams rescued hundreds of people in 19 areas of the country.
Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic, heavy rains fell for three consecutive days and flooding affected mainly northern parts of the country, leaving more than 50,000 homes without power.
Authorities reported one death, but said seven people in the country were missing, The Guardian reported.
The risk of flooding remains critical for rivers such as the Odra, Opava, Branna and Novohradka, especially in Jeseníky and Pardubice, Radio Prague International reported.
Although water levels in the upper reaches of the rivers are decreasing, the flood wave continues to travel downstream, threatening lower areas such as Uhretice and Chroustovice, the station added.
Austria
Austria has also been hit hard, with 24 villages in Lower Austria declared “disaster zones” and the death toll rising to three, the country’s vice-chancellor Werner Kogler told TV X.
“We have just received the terrible news of two more fatalities in Lower Austria,” he stated, expressing his “thoughts and deepest sympathy” for the relatives, families and friends of the deceased. He also added:
“The situation in the areas affected by the #Hochwasser (flood) remains very critical,” he warned, calling on the whole country to “follow the instructions of the emergency services on site.”
On Sunday, he said a firefighter had died battling flooding in Lower Austria after authorities declared the province surrounding the capital Vienna a disaster zone.
Chancellor Karl Nehammer noted on X:
“The Austrian Armed Forces are deployed in the storm-hit regions wherever help is needed.”
Rail services in the eastern part of the country were suspended and several metro lines in Vienna were closed due to the threat of the overflowing river Wien, APA news agency reported.
Poland
One person has drowned in Poland’s Kłodzko region, bringing the country’s death toll to five, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said.
He said on X:
“I have ordered the Minister of Finance to prepare funds for emergency aid and flood damage removal. The Minister for European Affairs will apply for European aid.”
He said he had asked the defence minister to “deploy additional forces to the threatened areas.” The Polish prime minister also added:
“After consultations with the relevant ministers and services, I have instructed to prepare a Council of Ministers resolution on the introduction of a state of natural disaster.”
According to The Guardian, around 1,600 people have been evacuated in Klodzko.
Because of all this, Warsaw is expected to declare a state of natural disaster, although it has not done so during previous difficulties such as the COVID-19 pandemic or major floods in 1997 and 2010, Polish Radio reported.
Hungary
In Budapest, officials have raised the forecast for water levels in the Danube River to rise to 8.5 metres (27.9 feet) in the second half of this week, nearing the record high of 8.91 metres recorded in 2013, The Guardian reported.
Zoltan Kovacs, the spokesperson for Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, said on X:
“Amphibious tracked vehicles are en route from Szentes to Pilismarot to support flood defense efforts. The Hungarian Defence Forces are playing a key role in the flood protection efforts, deploying various equipment. Nothing is more important than the safety of the Hungarian people.”
Slovakia
Concern has been mounting in the Slovakian capital of Bratislava, where authorities have been taking protective measures to contain the surging waters of the Danube. Police have extensively “warned the public about the danger” of walking along the river, a Bratislava Police spokesperson told CNN on Monday.
Extreme rainfall events are likely to become more frequent and intense as the planet warms, science shows.
An analysis of a 2021 heavy rainfall event in Europe, in which more than 200 people were killed, found human-caused climate change had increased the likelihood and intensity of these events in the region. The World Weather Attribution initiative — a group of scientists who study extreme weather and published the analysis — concluded “these changes will continue in a rapidly warming climate.”

103.1 TECHNOI⚡︎E FM
A fictive/headcanon radio station fit for Cyberpunk 2077 presenting German ebm artists. It is Ryder's overall favorite station he likes to listen to every day.
The first of two spotify playlists with a collection of songs I imagine to be one of Ryder's favorite radio stations (in my headcanon) he listens to when he e.g. drives around in the city or got it running in the background in his apartment. Had a hard time chosing the word 'Technoise" for one of them, yet I went with this one for the more ebm, industrial and dark wave focused tracks. I think it does fit better to the overall 'Technoise lore' (see further below) than the hard tech stuff on the second playlist. Some of the artists are already in business since the 80s/90s and especially Faderhead I would have loved to have in the game as he did a whole EP named '2077' dedicated to Cyberpunk when it came out. Overall these songs sound very 'tech'-like and each of them has this base of a repeating beat or melody and even words that stick to your ears. Some of them have actually lyrics, too, some are English, most in German.

109.6 HELL BUNKER FM
Mostly a hard techno playlist Ryder listens to, especially when he's working out. Most of these songs get played at 'Chrome Chamber Rave' a fictive/headcanon event occuring every 1st Saturday per month at the 'Hell Bunker', located in the underground of the Dark Matter Bld. Japantown.
This one is for the more hardcore ravers. When you listened to the other one first then for this one you may understand my decision why I've splitted it up. The beats are harder, there is much less to non lyrics and singing – all is focused on beats, repetition and other sounds. Wanna work out? Take this list if you like it. However, I've placed a few more 'melodic' ones in between so you can take a little break from the harder tracks. These are mostly by the artist 'Klanglos'. Also placed some with opera singing (Venezia, Hardtechno Anthem, Bella Ciao, Fortuna and Ameno) as it is the kind of techno Thyjs surprisingly will find good (because Ry will definitely listen to his music at home and even drag soldier boy to CCR).
All cover artwork done by me.
⚠️ READ: Please do not repost/reupload any of my art (the cover pics) here or to any other platform, or I will be forced to do anything to get it annihilated.
Why two?
There's two of them as I wanted to separate the (hard) techno beats from the more ebm (electro body music), dark wave and industrial ones which I also minimized to German (and one Austrian) artists only. I like the idea it is a station that plays only German as I've read in one of the many lore books that 'Technoise' is a German music genre:
"Technoise and its various derivations dominate much of the German scene. If you're hip, you already know about Technoise. If not, listen up. Technoise is quite popular with the discerning young punk; it was popularized by Germany's own NetWerk actually, you've got your Overlay style from London, Jazznetic from Rotterdam and Echo from Frankfurt. In addition, there are people producing Frock (Fractal Rock) all over the place. The good thing is, Technoise is quite easy to produce. You only need a small computer, some software and you're ready to buzz. Those of you with a message might miss the political attitude, but you're missing the point. Technoise is strictly for partying, tripping and dancing. People meet and dance up to the runner's point. Maybe that's a political statement in itself, oder?" — Eurosource Plus The New Eurotheater Sourcebook for Cyberpunk
Now I do not know how exactly the 'Lore Technoise' does sound as I can imagine it very well having more rock elements (as they speak of 'overlay style from london' (like punk back then swapping over to Germany in the mid or was it late? 70s -> German punk bands formed but also the New Wave came to exist, spread into the goth genre and so on, also Industrial so both ways; rock and electronic elements etc.) so I may have my own headcanon for it, while others maybe interpret it differently?
I definitely see some political messages in some ebm and industrial songs as well but a lot also are focused on something else less political. And if we go pure (hard) techno, it's definitely just for 'partying, tripping and dancing'. I can't say if it will stay like this, if I delete some songs or add new but for now I think it's good. If you want you can follow one or even both playlists. I would be happy about it though I know it's not everyone's music taste. ;)
And yeah ofc I placed Ryder into the covers, it's playlists for him, so yeah. If I ever do it with my other boys I'll do that the same way.
I'm also working on a list for Chrome Chamber Rave that will be even longer and have more songs by the artists that are already on Hell Bunker, but it's more for personal reasons as I started to dive so deeo into it I also searched pics that help me imgine how the location looks etc. Maybe I'll make another post for it, maybe not.

On May 10th 1949 Norman Baillie-Stewart, Scottish soldier and Nazi collaborator, was released from prison.
Baillie-Stewart had graduated from the prestigious military college, Sandhurst, and gained a commission in the equally famous, Seaforth Highlanders. However, military life became quickly not to his liking. With his heightened sensitivity regarding social class status, he became distraught by the snobbishness of his regiment’s officers.
It was this unhappiness, along with an obsession with a German girl in 1931, which led him to offer military secrets, which were very trivial, to Germany. Germany alerted the British Government, and they soon put Baillie-Stewart under arrest. After trial, he was sentenced a short prison term in the Tower of London, one of the last, or the last person to serve a prison sentence in the London landmark. He perceived he had received unfair treatment on release from prison in 1937 was a very bitter man.
He travelled to Austria, where he promoted the union of that country with Germany. Anti-Nazi Austrians upset with a foreigner’s meddling in their political affairs, eventually had him deported, and he next went to Germany, desiring to become a German citizen. To prove his loyalty, he began serving as a broadcaster on a radio station, which employed non-Germans as pro-German media mouthpieces. Management however quickly found him not as enthusiastically Nazi as others and he was soon sacked, being replaced by the more famous Lord Haw-Haw, William Joyce.
After the war, the authorities viewed Baillie-Stewart more as a nuisance than as a menace. Compared to other traitors, there was less evidence to convict him of treason, he was however eventually tried for the lesser charge of "committing an act likely to assist the enemy". He was found guilty and sentenced to five years' imprisonment.
On release he ended up spending the rest of his life with a changed name in obscurity in Ireland.
There's a bit more about him here https://blog.twmuseums.org.uk/the-tank-and-the-officer.../

The whole jury topic hasn’t left my head, so I thought I’ll put my notes down here.
I've also put down who the German and Austrian jury was (not names but jobs) so I'd be interested if anybody knows who was in your countries jury and if it's as imbalanced as the ones I found.
So my first opinion is that I am not against jurys overall, however, I think they need an overhaul.
Jurys exist because some time ago people said that Eastern European countries just give each other all the votes and this is unfair. That is obviously not true and also Juries don’t stop voting blocks (looking at you, Greece and Cyprus).
In my opinion, the role of the Jury should be an impartial judge of the music that is presented, and give votes to the countries that send songs that aren’t very accessible to a viewer when you hear it the first time.
Technical the jury has a set of things they should look out for when voting:
Vocal capacity of the artist(s)
Performance on stage
Composition and originality of the song
Overall impression of the act
For example, The Swiss song Watergun was memed because a Swiss guy sings about not wanting to be a soldier. He won’t be because he is lucky enough to live in a country that is historically neutral. As a viewer, you think this is silly and make jokes. You might get turned off from voting for him because you disagree with the message that he sends out. If you are in the Jury of a country this shouldn’t matter. You should have heard the song, and thought “This man has extremely good vocals, I’ll mark him up for that”.
(Also, not sure if everybody is aware of that: the jury doesn’t vote on the same show we saw on Saturday - there is a Jury Finale the day before. Apparently, Norway had some troubles with her vocals on that day which is why she got a lower score.)
I’m also gonna say this: the categories mentioned above absolutely do not warrant Loreens incredible lead in the Jury votes (as a reminder, she had 340 points. Israel the second placed only got 177 points) I don’t think a 163-point difference is that fair, what did Loreen do that was so much better compared to Noa Kirel? The stage show was impressive for both, I don’t think either of the songs was particularly original.
On the other hand, Blanca Paloma from Spain only got 95 points. Eaea is a song that I had to listen to about 6 times before it clicked for me, so it’s not a very accessible song. However, she has amazing vocals (I’d go so far to say she was the best female vocalist on that day), and the staging was great. To be honest I thought she would be in the top 3 of the jury vote just for that.
This is why I’m now thinking that the Jury didn’t do the job that I think they have. I did a quick google and found out about some of the juries of the evening:
Austria:
Editor of a radio channel (Alternative/ pop is mainly played there)
A music journalist
A journalist for the culture editorial office
A Schlager singer
a bass player for a pop band (that was a bit hard to find as the first thing you find of this guy is that he makes lamp)
Germany:
an actress/singer who was in Eurovision in the 70s,
a pop-singer and songwriter
a music agent who got started as the drummer in a pop band
the singer of a pop band who was also in the talk of representing Germany this year
the head of music of a radio channel - from a quick google search the radio station mainly plays pop
5 people 4 of them are in pop music. Not quite diverse is it?
I have also looked if I can find who was in the Swiss jury this year but didn’t find anything yet. (I looked for the German-speaking countries, as I am German speaking)
However, just from the 2 juries, I think I know where one of the problems is: they are extremely pop music focused.
To get a meaningful jury vote, I would love to see some diversity. Get songwriters in there. Or maybe a theatre director? All countries have a national opera, I’m sure some staging driector could judge on the performance on stage. A vocal coach who isn’t just in pop music. I also think that 5 people isn’t big enough to get the diversity you need. Make it 10 people! And don’t add people who are on a radio station, they will vote for what they can play.
Also why I am not about to say that the jury needs to be abolished completely, this is the Televote only score:
Tumblr media
Blanca Paloma is an incredible singer as already said - it’s just not a song you hear once and love immediately. Also, I may be biased but Austria doesn’t deserve only 16 points.
Unfortunately, the running order has a big input into the Televote score. Example: maybe you are still out, come home late and decide to switch on Eurovision during song 10. Or you just forget what song #5 sounded like.
Some of you might take notes for every song and decide who you call for after careful consideration. I can say that I don’t do that, I have my favourite that I vote for and I’ve decided that a few days if not weeks before the show.
But I don’t think the jury should have so much power. I think a 75 % public vote and a 25 % jury vote would be fair. This way the public that pays for every vote is more powerful, while songs that could be overlooked by the general public can still get a shot.

I think you should just "find a way" to get inside that Taylor Swift concert. Be creative. Do crime. Say you're here to support her 2024 presidential campaign. Seduce her manager. Kill someone. Steal tickets. Use a honeypot.
You're smart, figure it out!
There you are again my favourite partner in crime <3
I was thinking about programming a bot to get some tickets? But I think the hard part is getting a presale code
My current strategy aside from hoping and praying is that the big Austrian radio station has a ticket giveaway
Worst case scenario, I'm camping outside the fucking stadium and beg someone to sell me their ticket

an austrian radio station advertises the Vienna Open with the words: »Who will win the tournament in Vienna? Daniil Medvedev? Matteo Berrettini? The beau from Greece - Stefanos Tsitsipas? Or will Dominic Thiem celebrate his mega-comeback in Vienna?«
and i mean i'm totally here for it but the fact that they mention Matteo and Daniil in a normal way and then come around with "the beau from Greece"...

"FIRST PHOTOS ON AUSTRIAN REVOLT - When the band of Nazis recently tried to put Vienna "on the spot," by invading public buildings, radio stations and strategic points, to say nothing of the shooting of Chancellor Dollfuss, many on both sides were killed or wounded. In the upper left, a wounded man is being passed out through a window at the Ravag broadcasting studio, upper right, shows loyal troops defending ding a focal point in the uprising: a machine gun, in the lower left, is all ready for business, with the men standing (pardon. sitting) by for trouble, lower right shows the funeral party bearing the body of the late chancellor to the Rathaus Square where it lay in state for two days."

Eurovision 2002 - Number 20 - The Shepherds - "On a Day in June"
youtube
I think this is the first year I've covered when I've picked more than one entry from Austria. That's mostly because ORF have preferred internal selections, but it's good to be able to up the numbers for a country who haven't had many songs in my personal hitlist.
This year ORF picked six entries to go straight to the final and left the other four slots to open submission. They had over 700 entries! One of them were The Shepherds, a band from mostly Vienna, although singer Gudrun Liemberger is from Freistadt. I don't know much about them other than they're a sort of folk-rock-pop outfit who were trying for a big break. Gudrun had previously been a singer in Galahad, a German folk-rock-prog band touched by Arthurian legend who's current roster includes Tina the Butterfly as their fiddler and tin whistle player.
On a Day in June also includes violin and elements of that folky past, but is a more a straightforward soft rock ballad about how great love and such is. It feels less obviously a product of a music industry and a whole lot more authentic that most of the other songs in the final. It's identifiably from outside of ORF's envelope. Gudrun's voice isn't the strongest, but its tremulous qualities are perfect for this. It's a performance that could have been delivered in the late 1960s, given a quick 2000s spruce up and sheen. It is altogether quite lovely.
They went on first in the running order and promptly scored nul points from the jury or the televote. This was also the fate of two other of the four songs picked through open submission - a shame as I've already picked another one of these songs in my list for this year.
That was it for the Shepherds and their members for Eurovision qualification. The band split in 2005, but they were only the start of the career of Gudrun. Her next band SheSays went on to be more successful thanks to another open submission to a song competition, this time for Austria radio station Ö3. They had several hits in the Austrian charts, they've opened for Deep Purple and Bryan Adams on European tours and one successful albums.
Musical differences broke them apart in 2009 before Gudrun possibly realised that after three bands, what she really wanted to do was to have a solo career. She now performs under the name GuGabriel as well as having an acting career in both film and TV.
