First Test between Bangladesh and India: Paras Mhambrey: "Conditions Were Not That Conducive, We Had To Work Hard"
India tour of Bangladesh, 1st Test: India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey said that his bowlers had to work hard as the conditions were not that conducive.
India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey on Saturday said that his bowlers had to "work hard" as the "conditions were not conducive" on the third day of the first Test against Bangladesh in Chattogram.
India set up the target of 513 on the third day but Bangladesh saw off the day by reaching 42 for no loss at stumps. With India needing 10 wickets in two days, Mhambrey said: "Extremely happy, because the conditions were not that conducive, we had to work hard. The way the bowlers bowled, the areas they bowled, I am very happy.
"Sometimes it is difficult (to adapt quickly). The practice sessions help, that gives you an idea of the bounce and sometimes the turn. The discussion is all about responsibility. Every individual knows his role in the team and what the team expects out of him. At times you need to be defensive, at times you need to be attacking."
India bundled out Bangladesh for 150, with Kuldeep Yadav completing his five-wicket haul and Mohammed Siraj picking three wickets.
Talking about Kuldeep, who is playing his first Test since February 2021, Mhambrey said: "Very encouraging, really need someone like him in the team, adds a different variation. Very happy for him. He is gone through a tough phase, really been through a lot, happy with the way he has turned up for the team."
Kuldeep now has three five-wicket hauls, having achieved the feat in India, Australia and now in Bangladesh. Read More On..

Bangladesh Bundle Out Australia For 62 Runs - Win T20 Series 4/1
5th T20 International - Australia vs Bangladesh - Dhaka
Australia went through and ended what must have been their worst cricket tour in living memory, as they crashed all out for just 62 runs, their lowest score in limited overs cricket, in the fifth and final T20 match against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Monday to lose the five match series 4-1.
What was worse for Australia was that they lost eight wickets for just 24 runs after being 38 for 2 at one stage while chasing after a 123 target to be all out for 62.
Nine of the 11 batsmen to enter the crease could not even reach double figures with Matthew Wade making 23 and Ben McDermott contributing 17, as Bangladesh's play-maker Shakib Al Hasan picked up his 100th T20 wicket finishing with figures of 4 for 9.
The writing was on the wall for Australia when Bangladesh spinner Nasum Ahmed bowled opener Dan Christian for 3 and trapped the in-form Mitchell Marsh leg-before for 4 in his first two overs.
But three overs later came the procession of dismissed Australian batsmen, as Shakib struck to take his first wicket by rattling the stumps of Matthew Wade for 22 leaving the visitors at 38 for 3 from which they never recovered to be all out for 62 in 13.4 overs, with middle order batsmen Alex Carey and Moises Henriques unable to go past three runs.
Bangladesh were confident of victory to the point that they even opted to push Mahedi Hasan to open the batting with Mohammad Naim and the pair put on 42 runs in 4.3 overs before Mahedi was out for 13 and Naim went on to top score with 23 in a total of 122 for 8 in 20 overs.
Scores: Bangladesh 122 for 8 in 20 (Mohammad Naim 23, Nathan Ellis 2 for 16, Dan Christian 2 for 17) Australia 62 in 13.4 overs (Matthew Wade 22, Shakib Al Hasan 4 for 9, Mohammad Saifudin 3 for 12)

West Indies vs Australia: Second ODI Suspended Due To COVID-19 Case
West Indies vs Australia: Second ODI suspended minutes before the start of play Due to COVID-19 case. A positive Covid-19 test on Thursday resulted within the last-minute postponement of the scheduled second One-Day International between the West Indies and Australia at Kensington Oval, officials announced.
"The second ODI between West Indies and Australia has been postponed due to a positive Covid-19 test result from a non-playing member of the West Indies team," said a Cricket West Indies statement.
"This decision was taken after the toss at Kensington Oval once the result was known Due to the Covid-19 protocols.
"All members of both teams and match officials are going to be retested today. a choice on when the match will be replayed are going to be made at a later date once the test results are known."
The International Cricket Council said that each one personnel inside the bio-secure bubble for the series are going to be placed into isolation.
Cricket West Indies chief executive Johnny Grave subsequently expressed the hope that the results of a fresh round of PCR tests are going to be known on Friday morning.
After that, a determination is going to be made on the remaining two ODIs of the tour.
News of the postponement came through following a delay to the beginning of the match after Alex Carey had won the toss and chose to bat first.
Australia won the primary match by 133 runs on the DLS method two days earlier at an equivalent venue.
Players were seen returning to their respective dressing rooms mere minutes far away from the beginning of a match during which fast bowler Riley Meredith was set to form his ODI debut, having received his cap from injured appointed captain Aaron Finch, before the toss was taken.
Thursday's postponement not only jeopardizes the remaining two ODIs of this tour but also Australia's tour to Bangladesh which was only confirmed on Thursday and that the squad was alleged to depart following the scheduled final match on Saturday, also at Kensington Oval.
"Unfortunate," tweeted former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop.
"It's the danger taken in these testing times. Hope the person isn't too adversely affected."
Pakistan also is thanks to touring the Caribbean for five Twenty20 Internationals also as two Test matches.
The T20 series starts on 27 July, also in Barbados.
The two Tests are going to be staged in Jamaica from 12-16 August and 20-24 August.

Australia In Consolation Win - Saves Pride!
4th T20 International - Australia vs Bangladesh
Australia's cricketers breathed a sigh of relief as they broke a string of defeats to beat Bangladesh and gain some consolation in the fourth T20 International in Dhaka on Saturday, winning one of the most low scoring matches while chasing down a target of 105.
But Australia had some gripping and even frightening moments when they were down to 65 for 6 in the 11th over before Dan Christian earlier had smashed five sixes and a four in making 39 off just 15 balls to give the Aussies some momentum.
Australia squeezed home with an over left as late order batsman Ashton Agar also pushed the score along with an unbeaten 27 from the same number of balls to see his side through after their in-form batsman Mitchell Marsh was bowled by Mahedi Hasan for 11.
In the process Australia did not blow up the hard work done by their bowlers who produced some super spells to restrict Bangladesh to 105 for 9 after they decided to bat first.
The Aussies owed much to the entry of leg spinner Mitchell Swepsen who came in as the fifth bowler and put the breaks on the Bangladesh batting grabbing three wickets for just 12 runs in his four overs that included the wickets of the veteran batsman Mahmudullah and Nurul Hasan in two balls.
Swepsen trapped both batsmen leg-before without scoring after paceman Josh Hazelwood removed Shakib Al Hasan, caught behind by Matthew Wade for 15.
Bangladesh could not recover from the three blows and scratched their way to a losing total of 104 after Swepsen picked up the wicket of opener and top scorer Mohammad Naim for 28, the fifth down with the total at 68 in the 15th over.
Bangladesh had already won the five-match series with victories in the first three games with one more match to be played.
Scores: Bangladesh 104 for 9 in 20 (Mohammad Naim 28, Andrew Tye 3 for 18, Mitchell Swepsen 3 for 12) Australia 105 for 7 in 19 (Dan Christian 39, Ashton Agar 27 not out)
