Why Choose Powder Coating in Austin, TX? Discover Innovative Solutions for Your Coating Needs
Powder coating has become the preferred method for providing a durable, high-quality finish to various metal products in Austin, TX. Whether you're looking to upgrade the aesthetics of your home with stylish fencing or seeking an industrial solution that offers long-term protection, powder coating offers an innovative way to meet these needs. Meta Link TX, a leading provider of powder coating and fencing solutions, is your go-to company in Austin. From "Fence Installation Austin" to "security fencing," they offer tailored services to help bring your vision to life.
What Is Powder Coating?
Powder covering is a completing interaction that includes applying a dry, free-streaming powder to metal surfaces. The powder is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the metal, then cured under heat to create a smooth, durable layer. Unlike traditional liquid paint, powder coating provides a much more durable finish that resists chipping, scratching, and fading, making it an ideal solution for both outdoor and indoor applications.
Tumblr media
The Benefits of Powder Coating
1. Durability and Longevity Powder coating offers an incredibly durable finish that can withstand harsh weather conditions, UV exposure, and physical impacts. This makes it a fantastic option for outdoor metal surfaces such as fences, gates, and athletic equipment. When you choose powder coating from Meta Link Austin, you’re ensuring that your products will last longer, requiring less maintenance over time.
2. Environmental Friendliness One of the primary advantages of powder covering is its eco-congeniality. Traditional liquid paints contain harmful solvents and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that can harm the environment. Powder coating, on the other hand, contains no solvents and releases negligible amounts of VOCs, making it a greener choice for your fencing and coating needs.
3. Customization Options
Whether you're installing an athletic fence, security fencing, or a decorative perimeter around your property, powder coating offers a variety of color options and finishes. From matte to polished, the customization prospects are interminable with Meta link Tx. You can match your fencing to your property's overall aesthetic or create a standout feature with bold colors.
4. Cost-Effective Solution Powder coating offers a more cost-effective solution compared to traditional painting methods. It’s not only faster to apply, but its durability also reduces the need for touch-ups or frequent repainting. With Meta Link LLC offering high-quality powder coating solutions, you can expect long-lasting performance and reduced maintenance costs.

DELAIN Announces 2025 North American Tour With XANDRIA
Tumblr media
Melodic synth-metal greats DELAIN continue to grace stages around the world in support of their latest opus, "Dark Waters", out now via Napalm Records. The band is thrilled to announce their return to North American shores with a newly announced headline tour, set to take place in early 2025. The run will also feature support from special guests, symphonic metal patriots and Napalm labelmates XANDRIA, who are touring in support of their latest album, "The Wonders Still Awaiting".
Fans should expect to hear DELAIN and XANDRIA fan favorites, the latest hits, as well as brand new material from both bands during this tour, so don't miss out. Kicking off on March 7 in Phoenix, Arizona, the tour will visit several major cities across North America, ending in Austin, Texas on March 29. Tickets are on sale now. Visit www.delain.nl and get yours before they are gone.
DELAIN's Martijn Westerholt says: "After such a warm welcome and meeting so many amazing fans, performing new music and introducing our new members to the metal masses of North America last year, we are absolutely stoked to return to the United States and Canada to meet again. This time, we're thrilled to share this experience with our special guests and good friends XANDRIA. Each night will be stunning for all. Don't miss this one!"
XANDRIA's Marco Heubaum adds: "We are delighted to come back to the USA and Canada, and even better, with our good friends DELAIN! We are super excited to bring this package to the North American fans! This is going to be amazing!"
DELAIN with support from XANDRIA:
March 07 - Phoenix, AZ @ The Nile March 08 - Los Angeles, CA @ Whisky A Go Go March 09 - Sacramento, CA @ Goldfield Trading Post March 10 - Portland, OR @ The Bossanova Ballroom March 11 - Seattle, WA @ El Corazon March 13 - Salt Lake City, UT @ Metro Music Hall March 14 - Denver, CO @ The Oriental Theater March 16 - Joliet, IL @ The Forge March 17 - Detroit, MI @ The Token Lounge March 19 - Columbus, OH @ The King of Clubs March 20 - Toronto, ON @ Axis March 21 - Montreal, QC @ Fairmount Theatre March 22 - Cambridge, MA @ Middle East March 23 - New York, NY @ The Gramercy Theatre March 24 - Baltimore, MD @ Soundstage March 25 - Jacksonville, NC @ Hooligans March 26 - Atlanta, GA @ Masquerade (Hell) March 28 - Dallas, TX @ Granada Theater March 29 - Austin, TX @ Come and Take It Live
In a recent interview with FaceCulture, DELAIN founder, songwriter and keyboardist Martijn Westerholt spoke about the differences in the singing approach of the band's new frontwoman Diana Leah and that of her predecessor, Charlotte Wessels. He said: "Well, first of all, [Diana's] voice. I like her character. [She has] so much control, so much control… It's also a very friendly voice. And [when I first heard her singing], I could imagine that on DELAIN music. And then I got back the material later, and I was actually astonished and surprised how much it fitted. [Someone said] she has a very similar voice to Charlotte, and partially I totally agree with that; there are some characteristics that are similar. But I also think that people didn't… We have released three singles [with Diana so far], and [people] have not heard her complete capacity in singing. She's very good with soft versus power, [the] contrast [between the two]."
Elaborating on what sets the two vocalists apart, Martijn said: "Charlotte is more rough, which gives Charlotte a lot of character. It's a more rough voice, and that's not a negative thing; no, on the contrary, that gives it a certain quality and character. Diana is more refined. And that makes it different. So I'm totally not saying that, 'Oh, this one is better' or 'That one is better' — no — but it is different. And, of course, indeed, there are also similarities."
DELAIN's first album with Leah, "Dark Waters", arrived in February 2023 via Napalm Records.
In addition to Westerholt and Leah, the band's current lineup includes original guitarist Ronald Landa and drummer Sander Zoer, along with bassist Ludovico Cioffi.
The new DELAIN lineup made its official live debut in August 2022 at the Riverside festival in Aarburg, Switzerland.
Regarding how she joined the long-running Dutch metal act, Leah previously said: "It's really simple, actually. I knew they were looking for a singer so I just left a comment on their Instagram page. So a couple of days later I received an e-mail from Martijn, and we talked a bit about how I could audition and he sent me some material that I could sing on. And the rest is history."
Asked how she decided to sing in a metal band, the 33-year-old Diana said: "Well, I've always wanted to sing in a metal band. It was really my desire to do it. In fact, I did sing in a couple of rock bands, but it wasn't really heavy music, which I loved at the time. It was really hard to find the right people to form a band with and also to get along together and all that. But I've always wanted to be in a metal band. Always."
Leah also talked a bit about her background, saying: "I was born in Romania, in a city called Alba Iulia. It's in the middle of Transylvania. And then I moved to Italy when I was 15, and I lived in Italy for, I think, 10 years or something. And then I moved to Canada, in Ottawa, and I lived there for five years. And then I came back to Italy. And now I currently live in Italy, near Torino, so up north."
In February 2021, Westerholt announced the dissolution of DELAIN's previous lineup. At the time, he explained: "For the last year or so, the collaboration within the band ceased to work as well as it once had. Some of us were no longer happy with the current roles in the band. We all tried very hard to find a solution for over a year, but sadly we were unable to find one. As a result, we will all be going our own ways and pursuing our own endeavors."

"Caroline Pinney is a sunny Austin-based contemporary artist whose output is as warming as the weather that surrounds her. With the lyrics of Radiohead and Norah Jones pulsating through the studio, Pinney creates carnivalesque compositions that look like a party we want to join. Keeping Austin Wierd!! or Some Borders Are Meant To Be Crossed…
Posted: March 23, 2006 Archived from BonnyTymePyrate’s Journal Archives
Well, well, well…what happens when goth girls and comedians unite? Floods and earthquakes, that’s what!
Or just a lot of drunkenness, refusals of invitations to urinate on people, multiple chocolate cakes, hyperventilation, sweet sweet metal, and enough laughter to make your face hurt for a very long time and halt those suicidal thoughts for at least three hours.
SXSW: home to a million bands whom I did not see because why? Because I was drinking with YOU! That’s right, you. You know who you are, you beautifully intoxicated brethren of Austin.
Originally, I was merely going to SXSW to burn things and hopefully get arrested with friends from Adult Swim:Cartoon Network.
Tumblr media
But I ended up onstage playing the “Kaftka: Rock Opera” from Home Movies with my “great pal” and fellow goofball, Brendon Small. Which was odd, because the first thing I’d ever seen on HM was that particular episode years ago, and I think I tuned in just in time to say to myself “what the fuck is this? someone’s skimmed through Metamorphosis!”…but nothing could have rocked harder than having the honor of doing the fancypants-licks in the DETHKLOK theme song. DETHKLOK is a new show coming soon on the Swim, a cartoon about a death metal band, and I was pleased to join co-creators Brendon and Tommy onstage to accompany them on my shredolin and be “metal slut,” a part I think I’m particularly well-suited for.
Pictured here: Brendon and Tommy drink their pre-show nerves away with Dave from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Sure, it’s water, guys…sure.
Tumblr media
I have another method of warmup, and it involves proving just how sexy being double jointed can be. It’s working right? Right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This guy seemed to like it:
Tumblr media
After a bit of gear checking (thanks Troy D!!!), we were ready to ROCK!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brendon and Tommy start things off, warming up their voices to some delightfully nasty language. I’m so trying that next show.
Tumblr media
I had thought it would be funny if I were introduced as some goth chick they found strung out in their hotel room when they arrived in TX. I was too busy looking metal to hear what they actually said, but I’m sure it was something at least as unflattering.
Tumblr media
And here I come:
Tumblr media
And here we go, performing the DETHKLOK theme song from a very diagonal angle:
Tumblr media
Look at that shred, his bloody guitar’s on fire…murder!!
Tumblr media
If you’ve seen my show, you know that I spend more time on the ground than I do standing upright. And I’ve got the scars to prove it.
Tumblr media
Dave comes up to do a bit involving the Aqua Teen characters, including an interview with “Carl”…awesome…
Tumblr media
The DK gentlemen were brilliant, awesome, inspiring, and I tried my very best to stay in “metal bitch” character, but it was tough when all I wanted to do was laugh and roll around on the floor. They did a bunch of songs from the show, including a metalized coffee jingle which went over particularly well (do you folks like COFFFEEEEEEEEE!!!!!).
And finally, at the show’s end, having a shred-off during the Kaftka piece.:
Tumblr media
After the show with my new best friend, Keith “Fuckin’ A!” Crofford, Adult Swim’s illustrious producer:
Tumblr media
There happened to be a band playing before us called The Black Irish (and may I thank you gentlemen for giving that phrase new meaning for me…) in which was a lovely fiddler boy called Mark, but well just call him “Mark” to protect the guilty. After the show, it was decided that “Mark” and I should have a fiddle-off, and it went something like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’d now like to leave you with perhaps the best picture in the world. That’s right, this beautiful poster that we saw while strolling around the town, weaving our way between look-alike indie rockers and buying Cannibal Corpse posters just because we could. Note the composition. Note the boy with the gun. Note the beautifully placed gum on the boy’s hat. Note that funky owl. Note the Kristofferson. And take this away with you, my sweet friends, in all seriousness. “Some borders ARE meant to be crossed.” But for scientifically experimental purposes only…

With all my sweetest metalCakes,
Your EA

Man, I knew the BB had played with THE MISFITS way back when, but I never guessed that they also played with SAMHAIN this late into 1984. Wow, this is news to me, and I've never seen this flyer before, either! Anyway, I've always known that BB broke up in '84, but I never knew they held out this long into 1984 before deciding to pull the plug on the whole thing. R.I.P. BUTCHER BABIES played their first concert since the official departure of co-founding co-vocalist Carla Harvey on July 27 at the Stonehenge festival in Steenwijk, The Netherlands.
The band announced Harvey's exit in a social media post on July 20. BUTCHER BABIES wrote: "As you may have already guessed, it is confirmed that Carla Harvey and BUTCHER BABIES have officially parted ways.
"Carla has been an integral part of our journey, bringing her unique talent, passion, and energy to the band. We are grateful for the incredible memories we've made together and the impact she has had on our music and our fans. We will miss her greatly and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
"We deeply appreciate your support over the past 15 years," BUTCHER BABIES added. "We feel incredibly fortunate to keep making and playing music as our career, and we are excited for this new era of BUTCHER BABIES!
"See you on the road."
Carla added in a separate post: "Over the last 6 months You may have noticed my absence from BUTCHER BABIES posts. After 15 years of dedication, I wanted to let you know that I will not be rejoining the band for any future endeavors.
"I am super proud of my work with BUTCHER BABIES…2 EPS, 5 Full lengths albums and countless tours with our metal heroes! To all of our incredible BUTCHER BABIES friends and fans…you have provided me with some of the greatest experiences of my life! I have loved every second of writing and performing all over the world for you! I have loved meeting you. WOW. I still can't believe this kid from Detroit got so lucky.
"I am not done making music and performing. I WILL see you soon".
Last fall, BUTCHER BABIES completed a European tour without Carla, who sat out the trek in order to undergo emergency surgery on her left eye.
Harvey shared the news of her absence from the tour on October 26, 2023 in a social media post. The 47-year-old singer, who co-founded BUTCHER BABIES in 2010 with fellow vocalist Heidi Shepherd, posted a photo of her performing with her bandmates, and she included the following message: "Here's a picture of a girl in her happy place; unfortunately i won't be in that happy place on the upcoming @butcherbabies Euro run. Love you all but i have to sit this one out!
"I have a history of problematic vision and I had to have a major surgery about 10 years ago in my right eye for a retinal detachment. On our summer tour the telltale symptoms repeated themselves in my left eye. I've been hoping to avoid major surgery but it is clear that it must be done. My emergency surgery will include a healing process of laying face down for a number of days with a gas bubble in my eye."
Carla added: "This is the first time in fifteen years i won't be able to join my friends on stage but right now my health and sight take precedence for me. While I am gutted that I cannot make the tour the risk of me waiting till after a tour to do such a surgery is too great and includes permanent vision loss. The beauty of having two vocalists is that Heidi can cover for me until i'm better!
"Hoping to make it out for part of this euro run...go to the shows, have a blast and support my bandmates for me! I'll see you soon!"
In the comments section, Shepherd voiced her support for her then-bandmate, writing: "Sending all the love and healing. We'll hold down the fort while you heal. We need those beautiful eyes to work!!! Love you!"
BUTCHER BABIES' three-week European tour is scheduled to conclude on August 17 at the Czech Republic's Rock Of Sadská festival.
This past January, Harvey and ANTHRAX and PANTERA drummer Charlie Benante announced that they were officially engaged.
BUTCHER BABIES released a double album "Eye For An Eye..." and "…'Til The World's Blind", in July 2023. The double album celebrates the tenth anniversary of BUTCHER BABIES' critically acclaimed debut, "Goliath", released on July 9, 2013 via Century Media Records.
BUTCHER BABIES' previous album, 2017's "Lilith" was produced by Steve Evetts (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, SEPULTURA, SUICIDE SILENCE) and marked the band's recording debut with drummer Chase Brickenden, who replaced Chris Warner in 2016.
In July 2019, longtime BUTCHER BABIES bassist Jason Klein announced his departure from the band. He has since been replaced by Ricky Bonazza.
